Trump news on Youtube Feb 28 2018

The White House is pushing back against a news report that says President Donald Trump

might be reconsidering a recent gun proposal he made.

CNN reported on Monday two sources said Trump seemed to be backing off his call to raise

the legal age to buy certain guns from 18 to 21.

After the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Trump called for banning the sale of bump

stocks and raising the age to buy some weapons.

On Tuesday, press secretary Sarah Sanders denied that report, she said this:

"The president still supports raising the age limit to 21 for the purchase of certain firearms."

She said that topic would likely come up in Wednesday's meeting with members of Congress.

If Trump does push for such a restriction, it could put him in a showdown against the

National Rifle Association, the largest and most powerful gun rights lobbying organization

in the country.

The NRA paid more than $11 million in support of Trump during the 2016 presidential run.

The group spent nearly twice that much opposing Hillary Clinton's bid.

Trump Hits 50%! - Duration: 2:59.

Trump

Hits 50%!

In the Rasmussen Poll, the only survey that polls actual voters, President Donald Trump

has moved up steadily since the new year and has now reached a new plateau of 50 percent

job approval with only 49 percent disapproving.

Never before in his presidency has Trump cracked 50 percent, and never before, in any reputable

poll, have his positive marks outweighed the negative ones.

Trump is no longer underwater.

Other polls have not reached this level and CNN has his approval at only 39 percent.

But CNN surveys registered voters while Rasmussen only counts likely voters.

Since almost half of the registered voters do not actually cast ballots, limiting the

survey respondents to those who actually intend to vote is the only real way to gauge popularity

and voter attitudes.

But, to put him over the top, the president indicated some flexibility on gun control

in the wake of the Parkland school shooting.

By demonstrating that he is not some kind of ideological Republican who wont bend

regardless of the situation, he is engendering a confidence among voters.

The Donald Trump who now backs bans on bump stocks (which permit weapons to be converted

into machine guns) and a minimum age of 21 for most purchases of guns is not the angry,

intolerant abusive person he has been too often in the past.

Americans want to like and approve of their president and now, at last, Donald Trump seems

to qualify.

(Whether one concedes that he is, in fact, at 50 percent, everyone must agree that his

ratings have improved for the first sustained period in his presidency since the first of

the year).

This positive trend leaves the Democrats stranded.

Rather than advance positive solutions for the country, they have wallowed in never

Trumpism and just throw adjectives at the president.

Their inability to even understand why someone might back Trump leaves them far out of the

national consensus.

Such thinking leads to the famous characterization of Trump voters as a basket of deplorables,

a statement made by Hillary Clinton en route to her defeat.

Trey Gowdy Just REVEALED the Source of Trump Dossier – It Goes Back to Clinton! - Duration: 2:46.

Trey Gowdy Just REVEALED the Source of Trump Dossier – It Goes Back to Clinton!

Rep. Trey Gowdy dropped a bombshell hint on Fox News Tuesday night.

He strongly implied that the information used by former British spy Christopher Steele for

false anti-Trump research was provided by longtime Clinton friend Sidney Blumenthal.

Blumenthal, a controversial figure, became central to the U.S. House investigation into

the terrorist attack in Benghazi after emails showed Blumenthal consulted then-Secretary

of State Hillary Clinton on the false allegation that an anti-Islam YouTube video started the

attack.

During his work for Clinton, he was also simultaneously employed by David Brock's far-left organization

Media Matters, earning at least $200,000 per year for his political activities.

While never formally working for the Obama Administration, he worked in the White House

of President Bill Clinton and for the Clinton Foundation during Obama's tenure.

During the Fox News interview with host Martha MacCallum, Gowdy was asked whether "weeks

before the election, somebody in the Obama State Department was feeding information from

a foreign source to Christopher Steele."

This was after MacCallum previously asked if Gowdy knew anything about "a source who

gave information to an unnamed associate of Hillary and Bill Clinton who then gave information

to an unnamed official in the Obama State Department who then gave the information to

Steele.That's when Gowdy provided a jaw-dropping response:

"When you hear who the source, one of the sources of that information is, you're going

to think, 'Oh, my gosh, I've heard that name somewhere before.

Where could it possibly have been?'"

After confirming the source was domestic, Gowdy noted, "I'm trying to think of how

Secretary Clinton defined him.

I think she said he was an old friend who emailed her from time to time."

When asked directly if the source was Blumenthal, Gowdy replied, "That would be really warm.

You're warm."

Gowdy's comments come just a few days after the Republican memo showing how the Justice

Department relied on the Clinton-funded dossier from Steele to obtain a FISA warrant against

Carter Page, a former campaign adviser to Donald Trump.

It's already looking like Hillary Clinton essentially purchased the warrant so the Obama-controlled

federal government could monitor Team Trump during the heated 2016 campaign.

Trump to hold off on building border 'wall' - Duration: 0:34.

President Donald Trump won't start building part of his so-called border wall in California

— at least not yet.

On Wednesday, Trump tweeted he won't build sections until the whole thing is approved.

His remarks come a day after a federal judge paved the way to start construction on part

of the barrier in the Golden State.

That ruling was a significant legal victory, but Trump still needs funding to move forward.

Congress has yet to approve money for the barrier.

Still, Trump is expected to make his first official visit to California in mid-March

to check out prototypes.

WA Govovement Twists Trump's Words, POTUS Shuts Him Up Mid-Sentence With BRUTAL Reality Check - Duration: 4:30.

WA Govovement Twists Trump's Words, POTUS Shuts Him Up Mid-Sentence With BRUTAL Reality

Check On Monday, President Donald Trump met with

U.S. governors in Washington, D.C., for the third time since taking office.

When Washington state Governor Jay Inslee confronted the president, trying to twist

his words, Trump shut him up mid-sentence with a brutal reality check.President Trump

met with governors from across the nation on Monday, and naturally, the topic of gun

control played a major roll in the discussion.

One governor, Jay Inslee from the state of Washington, stood up to ask a question about

arming teachers, and he was shocked when Trump didn't let him spout lies on national television.

Trump hosted governors from around the country at the White House Monday, during which he

had a tense exchange with Washington Governor Jay Inslee.

The president made opening remarks then opened the floor to questions from the governors.

Many of the questions and conversations revolved around the national conversation on school

shootings.

Trump has proposed arming up to 20 percent of the nation's teachers.

[Source: The Daily Caller] "Now, I know you have suggested arming our

teachers.

And I just…," Inslee began when he was given a turn to address the president.

"No, no, no.

Not your teachers.

Arming a small portion that are very gun adept, that truly know how to handle it," Trump

cut in.

"Because, I do feel, Governor, it's very important that gun-free zones, you have a

gun-free zone, it's like an invitation for these very sick people to go there," he

furthered.

"I do think there has to be some major form of retaliation if they're able to enter

a school," the president continued, setting the record straight.

"And if that happens, you're not going to have any problems anymore because they're

never going to the school.

So, it would be just a very small group of people that are very gun adept."Indeed,

President Donald Trump has proposed allowing "10-20 percent" of U.S. teachers to carry

a firearm in the classroom.

This percentage directly correlates to the percentage of teachers who already have a

military or law enforcement background, and thus, would be proficient enough with a gun

to defend their students if the need arose.

Trump has suggested that arming 20 percent of the nation's teachers could help prevent

school shootings like the one that occurred earlier this month in Parkland, Florida, that

claimed 17 lives.

The president also has said that those teachers trained to use firearms could even receive

extra pay.

[Source: HuffPost] Opponents of Trump's plan, like Governor

Inslee, have argued that teachers do not need this extra responsibility.

They have enough on their plates already, argue the naysayers.

However, the ability to defend oneself should never be seen as a burden, but rather, an

opportunity and a blessing.

Not everyone has that ability or that right.

We should be grateful that Americans do.

President Trump has even proposed offering teachers who carry a firearm a bonus.

This ought to sound like a welcomed incentive to those who consistently complain that they

are not paid enough.

This is not a program which would be mandatory, so those who feel that keeping a firearm in

their classroom would be burdensome could simply not participate.

But, for those teachers who would like to take a more active roll in their own self-defense

and the defense of their students, it would offer the ability for heightened safety in

the classroom.

Allowing teachers who are proficient with a firearm the ability to defend themselves

and their students in an active shooter scenario is the logical next step in school safety.

Although the left likes to ignore it, the fact of the matter is that, as the president

pointed out, there are already teachers and schools who have successfully implemented

this long before the president suggested it.

Frankly, it's a step more schools should have taken long ago.

If we had, perhaps the seventeen innocent people who died in Florida earlier this month

would still be alive.

President Trump Signed An Executive Order To Combat Veterans Suicide - Duration: 21:56.

President Trump Signed An Executive Order To Combat Veterans Suicide

On January 9, 2018, President Trump signed an Executive Order (EO) entitled, "Presidential

Executive Order on Supporting Our Veterans During Their Transition From Uniformed Service

to Civilian Life".

The EO is designed to combat veterans suicide that is prevalent among servicemembers during

the time they are adjusting to a new life outside the military.

Here are five important attributes about this EO.

• #1: It identified that the largest number of suicides of our military personnel occur

within the first year during their transition from military to civilian life.

• #2: It is during this time that the rate of veterans suicide is two times higher than

the overall rate for service members.

• #3 Care may be provided at VA or by a private facility, depending on wait times

where you live

This section re-enforces the Veteran's Choice Act of 2017 which allows any veteran who lives

40 miles or more from the closest VA medical facility, or who faces a 30-day or more wait

time, can seek out treatment from a private facility and the VA will handle the payment.

• #4: All service members leaving the military will receive screening for mental health issues

for one year.

and

• #5: Implementation of the EO is being made at the highest levels of the administration

via the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and the Secretary of

Homeland Security.

At the meeting, Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin, remarked,

"Currently, 40 percent of those servicemembers had coverage in the VA to get mental health.

Now 100 percent will have that coverage, and it's the full array of services that the

Department of Defense and the Department of Veteran Affairs will be able to provide in

terms of mental health coverage."

This EO is excellent news for transitioning servicemembers.

Indeed, it will help make their future in the civilian workforce a success.

And President Trump added,

"We want them to get the highest care and the care that they so richly deserve, and

I've been working very hard on that with David and with everybody.

It's something that is a top priority."

This is

all good news.

President Trump Takes Away Democrats' Most Prized Possession, Schumer Is Boiling Mad - Duration: 3:06.

President Trump Takes Away Democrats' Most Prized Possession, Schumer Is Boiling Mad

The government shutdown was immediately finished.

However, the government just has three weeks.

Three weeks to settle on a new budget.

Or on the other hand, the government will be shut down once more.

President Trump and the GOP have made it clear what they plan to do.

They have a plan prepared to be put without hesitation.

The main thing remaining in their direction is the left, who decline to participate.

In needing to safeguard a strategy that secures illegals, they let the government be shut

down for three days.

That has effectively harmed them.

You'd figure they would have taken in their lesson at this point.

Probably not!

Rather, Chuck Schumer is debilitating to take away the president's wall.

Presently, Trump is never again getting along fellow.

As payback for the sit without moving danger, he's advising Schumer to kiss his precious

DACA good-bye.

Via IJR:

President Donald Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in a

tweet late Tuesday evening, saying there would be no Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

(DACA) fix if funding for a southern border wall wasn't provided.

That tweet followed reports that Schumer told the White House his prior offer for border

wall funding was off the table.

"Cryin' Chuck Schumer fully understands, especially after his humiliating defeat, that

if there is no wall, there is no DACA," Trump tweeted. The thought was that we could

come to an agreement that afternoon, the president would announce his support, and the Senate

and the House would get it done and it would be on the president's desk," Schumer said

Tuesday, according to Politico.

"He didn't do that.

So we're going to have to start on a new basis, and so the wall offer is off the table."

Sorry Chuck, yet you have no legs to remain on.

On the off chance that you let these three weeks go without an answer, it's just going

to hurt your party.

People in general will by and by observe Senate Democrats punishing the military and American

nationals, all equitable to protect illegal aliens.

Not a decent side to be on.

For the greater part of the left's showing off, they need even the smallest piece of

fitness to complete things.

The GOP has a plan to put energetically.

They want to keep the government running.

It's just Democrats who cause shutdowns.

They are unwilling to work with Republicans.

Democrats are the party of ruined, entitled babies.

Be that as it may, Trump's not moving.

He promised America a wall and he will get it.

The more Schumer and his Democrats oppose, the more it will hurt them.

Period.

Renowned Artist Paints Masterpiece Of President Trump… And What He's Doing Is Simply Powerful - Duration: 2:48.

Renowned Artist Paints Masterpiece Of President Trump…

And What He's Doing Is Simply Powerful Famed American artist Jon McNaughton has released

an incredible new painting of President Donald Trump, in which he stands alone in a packed

football stadium, holding a tattered American flag.

The flag is dirty from having laid abandoned on the field — but Trump's depicted wiping

the grime off the stars and stripes with the cloth in his right hand.

Here's the full photo:This picture effectively symbolizes the controversy surrounding NFL

players kneeling for the National Anthem during the 2016 and 2017 football season.

Trump was at the forefront of calling out these individuals, demanding that they be

suspended from playing until they "honor America."

Trump had backup from Vice President Mike Pence, who walked out of an Indianapolis Colts

game last year after players kneeled during the Star Spangled Banner.

Last year, McNaughton painted a picture in which Trump stands alongside the "forgotten

men and women" who elected the nation's 45th president.

Here is that painting:Many Americans have felt forgotten by the establishment in Washington.

I'm talking about the people who are more interested in themselves and their political

careers," McNaughton said in a video.

In addition, while core groups that supported Trump — blue-collar workers, veterans and

current members of the U.S. military, law enforcement officers, and farmers — are

represented in the painting, a first glance reveals an interesting addition:

A snake's head being crushed under the foot of the President.

"I want a President that will crush the enemies of liberty, justice, and American

prosperity," McNaughton explains.

"They may have the power to bruise his heel, but he will have the power to crush their

head."

McNaughton said those who voted for Trump knew exactly what they were getting, which

is why they voted for him in the first place:

"Last year, we elected President Trump.

He expressed by his words and demeanor what Americans wanted.

A man who is not going to bow down to Washington or other countries.

A man that would not forget the forgotten men and women of this country who elected

him."

Of the "forgotten," McNaughton asked: "How many veterans have been neglected?

How many of our police officers have been marginalized?

How many families are suffering because of poor healthcare, limited opportunities, and

government intrusion?" he added.

Trump's attacks on Judge Curiel are still jarring to read - Duration: 12:28.

Trump's attacks on Judge Curiel are still jarring to read

(CNN)The strange collective reality show the country continues to live in during the Trump administration took an unexpected and odd turn Tuesday.

The Indiana-born federal judge who President Donald Trump once said could not be impartial because he was Mexican cleared a major obstacle standing in the way of Trumps long-promised border wall with Mexico.

Read more about his 100-page order Tuesday that the current administration, like administrations before it, can waive environmental laws.

The judge, Gonzalo Curiel, first entered the Trump political story long before the President came to the White House, back when Curiel got a class-action lawsuit concerning students who said they had been defrauded by Trump University.

The case was ultimately settled after Trump won the White House. Trump said Curiel was not going to be impartial because he was Mexican.

Curiel works in the Southern District of California but was born in Indiana.

Trumps attacks on Curiel werent a one-off thing, either. They were repeated and sustained and mean.

I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. Hes a hater, Trump said in San Diego in May of 2016, kicking off the controversy.

Trumps comments led to accusations of racism, including from Republicans. It was a very big deal. And he wouldnt back down.

Back then, Trump said Curiel wouldnt give him a fair shake on anything specifically because of a perceived animus based on the wall.

But despite Curiels ruling Tuesday, dont look for Trump to apologize for his previous attacks and strike a note of respect for federal courts anytime soon.

Hes long seen the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, which sits above Curiel, as a bogeyman out to get him.

And Trump was newly frustrated Monday that the Supreme Court had not stepped in to overrule a 9th Circuit hold on his decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals immigration program.

I mean, its really sad when every single case filed against us is in the 9th Circuit, Trump told a gathering of governors Monday at the White House.

We lose, we lose, we lose, and then we do fine in the Supreme Court.

But what does that tell you about our court system? Its a very, very sad thing. It is totally worth going back to examine Jake Tappers interview in June of 2016 with then-candidate Trump, which got in-depth with Trumps comments about Curiel.

Trump was convinced beyond doubt that Curiel was biased against him, and he would not let it go.

This transcript is incredible to read now in the context of Curiel ruling that Trump can set aside environmental restrictions to move forward with the wall: TAPPER: What does this have to do with his heritage? TRUMP: Ill tell you what it has to do.

Ive had ruling after ruling after ruling thats been bad rulings, OK? Ive been treated very unfairly.

Before him, we had another judge. If that judge was still there, this case would have been over two years ago.

Let me just tell you, Ive had horrible rulings, Ive been treated very unfairly by this judge. Now, this judge is of Mexican heritage. Im building a wall, OK? Im building a wall.

I am going to do very well with the Hispanics, the Mexicans -- TAPPER: So, no Mexican judge could ever be involved in a case that involves you? TRUMP: Well, hes a member of a society, where -- you know, very pro-Mexico, and thats fine.

Its all fine, but -- TAPPER: Except that youre calling into question his heritage. TRUMP: I think he should recuse himself.

TAPPER: Because hes Latino? TRUMP: Then, you also say, does he know the lawyer on the other side? I mean, does he know the lawyer? You know, a lot of people say -- TAPPER: But Im not talking about that.

Im talking about -- TRUMP: Thats another problem.

TAPPER: Youre invoking his race, talking about whether or not he can do his job.

TRUMP: Jake, Im building a wall. OK? Im building a wall. Im trying to keep business out of Mexico. Mexicos fine.

TAPPER: But hes an American.

TRUMP: Hes of Mexican heritage and hes very proud of it, as I am where I come from, my parents.

TAPPER: But hes an American. You keep talking about its a conflict of interest because of Mexico.

TRUMP: Jake, are you ready? I have a case that should have already been dismissed. I have thousands of people saying Trump University is fantastic, OK? I have a case that should have been dismissed. A judge that never, ever gives -- now, we lose the plaintiff. He lets the plaintiff of the case out. So, why isnt he calling the case? So, we thought we won the case.

TAPPER: I dont want to really litigate the case of Trump University.

TRUMP: You have to, because if he was giving me fair rulings, I wouldnt say that.

TAPPER: My question is -- TRUMP: Jake, if you were giving me fair rulings, I wouldnt be talking to you this way. Hes given me horrible rulings.

TAPPER: I dont care if you criticize him, thats fine. You can criticize every decision. What Im saying, if you invoke his race as a reason why he cant do his job.

TRUMP: I think thats why hes doing it. I think thats why hes doing it.

TAPPER: When Hillary Clinton says its a racist attack -- TRUMP: Hillary Clinton is a stiff.

If Hillary Clinton becomes president -- TAPPER: Paul Ryan today -- Paul Ryan today said he didnt care for the way that you are attacking this judge.

TRUMP: Look, Im just telling you, Paul Ryan doesnt know the case. Heres the story -- TAPPER: Isnt it the -- TRUMP: I should have won this case on summary judgment. This is not a -- this is a case I should have won on summary judgment. You know, the law firm paid Hillary Clinton hundreds of thousands of dollars to make speeches.

(CROSSTALK) TRUMP: Wait a minute. A law firm paid hundreds and thousands of dollars to Hillary Clinton for speeches.

TAPPER: Before either of you -- TRUMP: She wasnt working. Everyone fell asleep during a speech, OK? TAPPER: Before either of you were running for president, they did.

But heres the final fundamental question -- TRUMP: Do you know theyve contributed tremendous amounts of money to her campaign? TAPPER: Yes.

TRUMP: Do you know they contributed a lot of money to Eric Schneiderman, the New York attorney general? TAPPER: Heres my question -- TRUMP: No, no, do you know that? TAPPER: I did not know that.

TRUMP: Did you know they went to every attorney general practically in the country that they could and did you know this case was turned down by almost every attorney general from Texas to Florida and to many other states? TAPPER: Is it not -- when Hillary Clinton says this is a racist attack, and you reject that -- if youre saying he cant do his job because of his race, is that not the definition of racism? TRUMP: No. I dont think so at all.

TAPPER: No? TRUMP: No. Hes proud of his heritage. I respect him for that.

TAPPER: But youre saying you cant do his job because of that.

TRUMP: Look, hes proud of his heritage, OK? Im building a wall. Now, I think Im going to do very well with Hispanics because they are going to get jobs right now. They are going to get jobs. I think Im going to do very well with Hispanics. We are building a wall. Hes a Mexican. Were building a wall between here and Mexico. The answer is, he is giving us very unfair rulings, rulings that people cant even believe. This case should have ended years ago in summary judgment. The best lawyers, I have spoken to so many lawyers, they said, this is not a case. This is a case that should have ended.

TAPPER: I -- TRUMP: This judge is giving us unfair rulings. Now, I say why? Well, Im building a wall, OK? And its a wall between Mexico. Not another country.

TAPPER: But hes not from Mexico. Hes from Indiana.

TRUMP: Hes of Mexican heritage and hes very proud of it.
