The White House says President Donald Trump is open to improving the federal background
check system for gun purchases.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement Monday that Trump recently
spoke with Sen. John Cornyn about a bipartisan bill he introduced.
That legislation aimed to make the National Instant Criminal Background Check System more
effective.
The Fix NICS Act would offer financial incentives to states and federal agencies that upload
information to the federal system about people who are supposed to be banned from buying
a gun.
It was introduced last November after a shooting at a Texas church.
The suspect in the shooting was able to buy a gun because the U.S. Air Force didn't report
his past general court-martial for domestic violence.
The press secretary said:
After the Florida school shooting in February, some lawmakers, students and teachers have
all urged Trump and Congress to pass gun control legislation.

President Donald Trump went after �very insecure� Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, tweeting
that he hopes to see her run for president so �she can be exposed and defeated.�
"Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview
a panel of people on 60 Minutes," Trump tweeted Sunday night.
"The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect.
Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"
Winfrey appeared on CBS� �60 Minutes� leading a discussion with 14 people from Grand
Rapids, Mich.
Half of people from the group voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, the other
half did not.
The same group was interviewed on the program last year.
"One year into Donald Trump's presidency, Americans remain divided, often unwilling
to listen to what the other side has to say," Winfrey said.
Winfrey�s potential run for presidency was the subject of speculations following her
speech at the Golden Globes last month.
Her longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham said, �It's up to the people� whether she runs,
but added that �she would absolutely do it."
Winfrey, for her part, denied considering a run in 2020.
She recently told CBS� �60 Minutes Overtime� that God has not yet told her to run for president.
�If God actually wanted me to run, wouldn't God kinda tell me?
And I haven't heard that," Winfrey said.
Trump said last month that if Winfrey runs, he would beat her.
�Yeah, I�ll beat Oprah.
Oprah would be a lot of fun,� he said, although adding that �I know her very well.
I like Oprah.
I don�t think she�s going to run.�

Supporting President Trump is enough for some left-wing radicals to violently assault you.
On college campuses, on the streets outside of Trump rallies, patriotic Americans have
been pepper-sprayed, punched, and had bricks thrown at them.
And the same group responsible for much of this violence just announced their plan to
eliminate President Trump, and the day they will begin was just announced.
George Soros has been known as the puppet master of the radical left.
He has used his multi-billion dollar fortune to bankroll virtually any group that opposes
the President.
Perhaps the most violent of the groups he is funding just made a terrifying announcement.
"Refuse Fascism," a group who believes President Trump and his supporters are fascists
and must be shut down, violently if necessary, has been seen on the streets in the past months.
From the violent riots in Berkeley, California, to the attacks during President Trump's
inauguration, they were there on the front lines.
Their newest plan was just announced, in the most annoying way possible.
Several protesters lined the highway in Los Angeles, blocking traffic for thirty minutes
until they were arrested.
They were holding signs spelling out: "Nov 4 it begins."
In a press release, the group announced exactly what their message meant.
The release is calling for everyone who is anti-Trump to line the streets on November
4th and protest until President Trump's administration is removed from office.
The release in part stated:
"ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017, TAKE TO THE STREETS AND PUBLIC SQUARES IN CITIES AND TOWNS ACROSS
THE COUNTRY CONTINUING DAY AFTER DAY AND NIGHT AFTER NIGHT—NOT STOPPING—UNTIL OUR DEMAND
IS MET: THIS NIGHTMARE MUST END: THE TRUMP/ PENCE REGIME MUST GO!"
In a larger post, they outline their reasons for removing President Trump from office.
They cited a ton of different topics, including President Trump's immigration policy which
they referred to as a nightmare.
Also in their reasons, they stated that blacks and Latinos are openly threatened by the President.
Most telling was their attack on President Trump for his "America First" policies.
That criticism highlights what groups like "Refuse Fascism" are really about.
They don't care about America, just a quick glimpse at any of their protests makes that
apparent.
They have been spotted at protests featuring American flag burnings and carrying of the
communist "hammer and sickle" flag.
"Refuse Fascism" uses the term fascism as an attack on any patriotic American, and
then uses that label as an excuse to assault peaceful people, which has been seen at protests
across the country since President Trump's campaign started.
It is unclear how big of an impact this plan will make, but with billionaire supporters
like George Soros on their side, they have a massive amount of resources readily available.
The only thing that is clear is more political violence is likely coming, and you can be
sure these violent leftists will be involved.

The U.S. International Trade Commission on Sunday said it had already opened up a probe
into several global tech giants, including South Korea's Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix
on January 19th to look into whether the companies are infringing upon intellectual property
rights of solid-state drives.
The investigation came after a U.S. chipmaker BiTMICRO had filed a complaint against the
firms in early January.
The U.S. ITC can restrict import items under "Section 337" of the Tariff Act on allegations
of patent or trademark infringement.
As Samsung Electronics has the largest SSD market share in the U.S., with 30 percent
of the market, and SK Hynix is ranked seventh, some industry leaders see the move as a way
to target the Korean firms.
KOTRA, the Korea Trade Promotion Corporation also picked steel, home appliances, and cars
as areas that are likely to see import restrictions in the first half of 2018.
"A lot of companies are being encouraged to file anti-trade suits: anti-dumping or safeguards.
And you see a lot investigations being sued right now.
Whether it will spread to other industries than steel or automobile, it really depends
on the company."
The expert predicts requests for import restrictions in the steel and manufacturing sectors will
increase in the future not just for Korean goods, but other countries' goods as well.
The U.S. Department of Commerce urged the Trump administration last week to impose steep
tariffs and quotas on imported steel and aluminum,... including shipments from South Korea.
"Section 232" of the national security review, unveiled on Friday, suggested a range of tariff
options on imported steel and aluminum.
One of the options is a 53 percent tariff on 12 steel exporting countries including
South Korea, China and Brazil.
President Trump will decide in April which tariff option to impose.

utilize it to help their employees.
