Trump news on Youtube Feb 1 2019

president Trump apparently disagrees with his top intelligence chiefs who say

North Korea probably won't give up its nuclear weapons he tweeted Wednesday

that there's a decent chance that it will and he said he looks forward to

seeing Kim jong-un again emj reports

president Trump is projecting optimism about his ability to get North Korea to

denuclearize despite recent remarks by one of his top Intel chiefs Dan Coates

who told senators this week that Pyongyang is unlikely to fully give up

its nuclear weapons program in a flurry of tweets on Wednesday Trump said

Washington's relationship with North Korea is the best it has ever been and

there is quote a decent chance the north will Bandhan its nuclear weapons however

this week's comments by the Director of National Intelligence aren't the first

from a senior Trump administration official to suggest a North isn't

serious about denuclearization in a report released Wednesday the Center for

Strategic and International Studies citing commercial satellite imagery from

January 20th also said there has been no new dismantling activity at the missile

facility in North Korea's Tonkinese since August after their summit in

Singapore last June Kim jong-un committed to permanently shut down the

missile engine test site and launch pad under the observation of international

experts along with his optimism over North Korea's eventual demolition

president Trump also patting himself on the back for his other successes with

North Korea he held the North's lack of nuclear and missile tests the return of

remains of some American troops killed during the Korean War and the safe

release of American hostages calling it a whole different story

compared to the previous Obama administration President Trump said he

What happens when Trump goes off script? - Duration: 4:18.

- [Trump] My fellow Americans,

tonight I am speaking to you--

- A lot of people have criticized

the president's use of language.

- He speaks like everybody else.

- Oddly adolescent.

- Not the typical vague and politically correct.

- But really the president's use

of language depends on the audience.

There are unscripted moments where

he feeds off the energy from the crowd.

- [Trump] Any guy that can do a body slam, he's my kind.

- Twitter and more formal

or scripted responses like the address he gave

from the Oval Office over border security

and the State of the Union.

- [Trump] Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President,

members of Congress.

- So we talked to two language experts

to determine what impact these different

platforms can have on those listening.

- [Gomez] Language is purposeful and it's never innocent.

When he's talking from a script,

we can see that he's more measured, more deliberate.

- [Trump] The United States needs a physical barrier,

needs a wall to stop illegal immigration and to halt dead--

- Here, you see him look up

from his prepared statement.

- [Trump] You have human traffickers.

It's a thing that's horrible.

Think of it, human trafficking.

- [Gomez] Sometimes in communicating in trying to persuade,

we use a pallette of words that convey different emotions.

And speaking off the cuff then that person is coloring

the message with a lot of emotion and a lot of passion.

- After comparing different videos

of the president, Mr. Gomez had a few takeaways.

Scripted speeches aren't natural to the president

and he often looks tense because he's reading

another person's words that have been written for him.

His language is more effective off-script

when he can feed of the energy of a crowd.

Using emotionally descriptive words is used to persuade.

It seems like the president empathizes emotion

even more when he's tweeting.

- [Ott] There's a very strong structural similarity

between the way the president speaks naturally

and his use of Twitter.

- Brian Ott has studied the relationship

between rhetoric and media for over 20 years and

he's the co-author of a book titled The Twitter Presidency.

- [Ott] This is why, however, he's so effective on Twitter

because with it's 280 character cap

it's impossible to say anything complex.

- According to Dr. Ott's analysis,

Twitter is his most effective form of communication

because the platform mirrors the way he speaks naturally,

short and not complex.

And he often uses negative or degrading rhetoric on Twitter

because it travels faster and further on social media.

Compartmentalizing these forms of communication

is something the president uses again and again.

- [Trump] Earlier today there was a horrific shooting

targeting and killing Jewish Americans.

This wicked act, hard to believe.

- [Gomez] It looked very clearly teleprompted

so he was reading the lines that were prepared for him

and it was informative and evaluative.

- And now take a look at how he speaks

when he's answering questions from reporters.

- [Reporter] Mr. President, do you think

you need to revisit gun laws?

- [Trump] Well again, this has little to do with it

if you take a look if they had protection inside,

the results would have been far better.

- [Gomez] The second video clip, it lacked data.

He basically was providing a point of view.

- On Twitter, the president

blamed the Pittsburgh shooting on the media.

- [Ott] Every time the president speaks in impromptu or

in extemporaneous situation, I'm talking about

press conferences, campaign rallies, Twitter,

he is only addressing 38 to 48% of the public.

And that group in particular is angry.

- [Trump] I thought her testimony was very compelling,

very fine woman.

- [Gomez] That's what the president is very good at.

He knows his audience and he has the ability

to use the right tools in order to communicate his ideas.

- [Trump] 36 years ago this happened.

How did you get home?

I don't remember.

How did you get there?

I don't remember.

I don't know, I don't know. (crowd cheering)

- [Gomez] One of the principles of communication is

that the speaker already knows the response

that he's trying to get from the listener.

And the message is complete only

when the listener hears it and reacts appropriately.

- And it's probably safe to assume

that this president won't be the last president

to use different modes of communicating

to spread different messages far and wide.

Compromised Sources Feeding Media Fake Trump-Russia 'Bombshell Stories' - Duration: 9:30.

Hello, and welcome. I'm Gina Shakespeare. Today on Declassified:

The Media Can't Admit That The Trump Russia Sources Are Compromised

Therefore feeding the public plenty of fake news.

This story by Brian Cates. You can find Brian on Twitter at @drawandstrike

If you've been following the Spygate twists and turns since this whole thing began

you've noticed a recent trend in the Democratic National Committee (DNC) media complex:

The number of over-hyped Trump–Russia collusion "bombshell"

stories being published are coming faster and faster—and they quickly blow up and fall apart within just a few days.

As Brian detailed in recent columns, The Guardian and McClatchy News both had spectacular

launches of "bombshells" that supposedly provided evidence, at long last, that Trump campaign affiliates were involved in WikiLeaks'

publication of stolen Hillary Clinton and DNC emails during the 2016

election. In both reports, anonymous sources claimed to have seen evidence

proving the allegations but provided nothing to the reporters to back up what they were alleging.

That's where journalism is today.

Reporters don't have to produce any evidence themselves for their stories before they go public with serious accusations

against designated targets. In fact, in modern DNC media "journalism,"

it's often the case that reporters don't even need to see any of the evidence themselves before

publishing a story. All they need are anonymous sources who make a claim

they saw something. The mere claim from a few anonymous sources is now enough to launch stories containing

explosive accusations that come to dominate a daily or weekly news cycle before they are exposed as being fake.

This brings us to just the latest media fiasco that erupted recently: The BuzzFeed fake news report that the Special Counsel had documentary evidence

proving President Donald Trump directed his then-lawyer Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Written by intrepid BuzzFeed reporters Jason Leopold and Anthony Cormier, the story quickly took off upon publication and

dominated the national news for an entire day. And then it fell apart.

This BuzzFeed story was so wrong that special counsel Robert Mueller's office took the almost unprecedented step of

issuing a public statement.

"BuzzFeed's description of specific statements to the Special Counsel's Office, and characterization of documents and testimony

obtained by this office,

regarding Michael Cohen's Congressional testimony are not accurate." That was said by Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller's office.

Following the announcement from the Special Counsel's Office, many in the media finally stopped loudly promoting the BuzzFeed story and actually began

carefully examining it. It certainly didn't help BuzzFeed's case when the two reporters of the article

couldn't even get their stories straight about the supposed evidence upon which their entire

"bombshell" report was based.

Leopold went on MSNBC and said during a phone interview that he had seen some of the documents;

Cormier went on CNN and in his phone interview said he'd seen no documents.

Trying to save the story, Cormier appeared with chief BuzzFeed editor Ben Smith on CNN, during which host Brian Stelter

pressed them on the discrepancy. Leopold wasn't there; Smith claimed that he was out working on a story and wasn't available. When

Stelter directly asked the vital question about why Cormier said he hadn't seen any documents, while Leopold said he did, Cormier

Cormier ludicrously said, "I can't really get into,

"I can't really get into, like, the details there." The host then presses Cormier about if he's seen any evidence since BuzzFeed published the story.

Cormier states he's received more "confirmation,"

which only means he went back to the anonymous sources who simply told him the same things over again.

He hasn't seen any more evidence because he didn't see any evidence before BuzzFeed hit the publish button on this fake news.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Cormier and Leopold published this story based solely on claims made to them by anonymous sources.

Smith says the media outlet has spoken to the leakers again and is standing

100% behind its report. Note that Smith hasn't claimed that the leakers showed BuzzFeed any documents. He and Cormier continue to blather about

BuzzFeed's awesome vetting process, which apparently doesn't include actually seeing anything that backs up the claims their sources are making.

All that's happened since the story blew up is that the anonymous sources totally pinky-swore they saw the documents

they claim they did, and so

BuzzFeed is choosing to believe them. That's a mistake, and let us explain why, beginning with compromised sources:

Most people are assuming that if the Special Counsel's office is telling the truth and

there really are no documents in that office saying what the sources claim, it means the sources are lying.

In fact,

there's another explanation about why Leopold's and Cormier's sources claimed they saw

documents that said Trump directed Cohen to lie, while the special counsel's office still isn't lying about saying they don't have any such

documents in their possession. That's because, in this explanation, the documents the leakers viewed actually do say Trump told Cohen to lie;

it's just that the documents they viewed weren't real. They were fakes. To explain what happened,

let us go back to another massive media scandal from last year

involving CNN. The network had multiple leakers who were sources for a "bombshell" report claiming that Donald Trump Jr.

got an offer via email to get early access to stolen emails in the possession of WikiLeaks. That Trump Jr.

was offered this early access was evident from the date on the email, Sept. 4,

2016. After CNN published that report, the email was quickly produced, and to the absolute

consternation of the entire DNC media complex,

somehow, through some miracle, at least two independent

leaking sources, who supposedly had looked at that same email, saw the same date on it, and

subsequently reported that same date to CNN's reporters, got the date wrong.

The actual email had the date of Sept. 14, 2016.

There are only two possibilities here.

Let's take a look at number one.

1. Both sources saw the real email, both got the date wrong, and both gave the same wrong date to the reporters.

This is most unlikely. Let's take a look at number two.

Both sources saw a fake email with a fake date on it and accurately reported what they saw to the CNN reporters.

Why has the news media refused to entertain that second possibility for even a second? It

actually makes far more sense than the first possibility.

They won't entertain it because it means their trusted leaking sources have been compromised. And they've been compromised for some time.

It's not just the political partisans inside the government playing the strategic leaking game anymore. As I detailed last year,

this is a very serious,

professional FBI leak-hunting unit at work, and laying traps using fake documents is just one of the things they have been doing.

Most people assume that once you catch a leaker, he or she is

immediately arrested and charged. That only happens in some cases. In other cases,

the leak hunters leave those people in place and either flip them into double agents or feed them fake information.

That's right: You have FBI agents and counterintelligence operatives

deliberately

putting fake documents where leakers, who don't know they've been spotted, will see them and pass them on to their media contacts.

So why would they leave in place some of these anonymous sources who are leaking to the media?

It's so they can keep the media busy doing something useless.

Right now, there are many serious investigations underway beneath the surface that involve massive national-security issues.

Not just the Uranium One and the Spygate-related investigations that we've been covering here in depth on Declassified.

There are others. There is always the danger that reporters are going to start getting in the way and blowing the cover of these

investigations.

So how do you keep inquisitive media investigative reporters out of the way and distracted so they can't thwart anything you are really doing?

It's simple. You map out their leaking network, then you flip some of the leakers or send them new leakers, who are actually disinformation

agents. You then keep all these media hacks super-busy doing what they really want to be doing—

fervently and enthusiastically chasing their Trump/Russia collusion Holy Grail, by having all the leakers

you control constantly feeding them Fake News

that is almost instantly debunked. And you keep them locked into doing this for months on end.

You turn the constant, relentless need for more Trump–Russia collusion stories against them by feeding them fake news.

It took some time—it didn't happen overnight—

but now most of the leaking networks have been mapped out and the leakers who were left in place—either willingly or not—

have been turned into disinformation agents feeding constant fake leaks to the media. And the media is continuing to fall for it.

The DNC media complex is actually accelerating the shredding of any credibility it had left over the past few months.

It's launched one quickly debunked Trump–Russia "bombshell" after another in recent months, and the pace of these absurd stories

actually is increasing. This isn't an accident. It's being guided into doing this.

Someone told the media at the very beginning: "The leaks are real; the news is fake." They didn't listen. And they're still not listening.

So what are your thoughts on the rampant leaking that is taking place in the media?

Please leave them below. From all of us here at Declassified, thank you for watching and we'll see you soon.

Jared Kushner Thinks He Can Get Democrats To Support Trump's Border Wall - Duration: 4:47.

Jared Kushner actually believes according to a new report that he is going to be the

person to come along and solve the problem of immigration reform.

Jared Kushner believes that he might actually be able to come up with a plan that's going

to get Democrats in Washington DC to support Donald Trump's wall.

Jared Kushner, the same guy who is under federal investigation for multiple different organizations.

The guy who has no business whatsoever being in the White House, the guy who tried dozens

of times to properly fill out his security clearance form and failed to do it properly.

Jared Kushner, the guy who accidentally filled out his voter registration card and put his

gender is female instead of male, is totally going to solve the immigration crisis here

in the United States, but don't worry if you think jared Kushner is a bit too stupid to

figure something like this out.

He's got some help.

Okay.

Other people are coming in to help him with this.

Unfortunately, those other people happen to be from the Koch Network.

You see, last week jared Kushner held a meeting in DC with members of the Koch Network and

they sat down for several hours.

Jared Kushner had a whiteboard drawing out ideas, maybe drawing little pictures for the

cokes, who knows, uh, but they were trying to figure out how to address immigration in

the same way that they addressed criminal justice reform because that was something

that was sorely needed.

Criminal Justice Reform, this administration pulled it off.

You had some bipartisan support there.

It was in good thing Koch brothers actually supported it, and yeah, give you credit.

That was a good thing.

Unfortunately, what you underestimate about that is that again, that was something that

was sorely needed, that a lot of people in this country supported that had bipartisan

support, and yet what you're trying to do is sit down with Koch network members and

figure out how to sell the wall to the Democrats so that you can get a deal worked through.

That's not going to happen.

Jared.

Most people in this country, a vast majority of them do not want the wall.

They don't.

It's that simple.

They don't want it.

They feel like it is a waste of money.

They feel like it is unnecessary, they feel like it will be completely useless.

Whatever their reasoning is.

Dave told you repeatedly that it ain't going to happen, and yet here you are sitting down

with these Koch Network members trying to come up with your plan and what's really interesting

about this though is had this meeting with the folks from the Koch Network actually came

just a day or two before they had their little weekend retreat where they were like, yeah,

we're not.

We're not doing politics stuff anymore.

We're get.

We're getting out of that for now.

We're not going to be involved.

Really.

You just met with the dumbest person in Washington DC to discuss policy two days before this

retreat and you expected us to buy into it.

I told you yesterday that whole retreat, they was total bs and this story kind of comes

along and proves that the cokes aren't pulling out of politics.

They're just getting a little sneakier with it and they think that they can recruit somebody

as dumb as jared Kushner to come in and do exactly what they want them to do because

Kushner's too stupid to realize he's being played, which is what's happening here.

What's really funny too, in this report from Axios, it talks about how White House officials

and aids are actually almost laughing at the fact that cushion or thinks he can solve this

problem because they understand how incompetent this kid truly is.

Jared Kushner not only has no business being in charge of immigration policy, which Trump

has put him in charge of, he's going to go start working with pence and Kirstjen Nielsen

in an attempt to come up with a compromise plan that is per Trump's order, but coasters

too stupid for that, and more importantly, this kid is too inept to even be serving in

any position in that White House and that includes working as a, you know, a vacuumer

or something like that.

Jared Kushner wouldn't even be qualified to do that.

This kid needs to pack up his crap, head back to New York, hire some good lawyers, and then

try to fight these investigations that are threatening to take him and his entire family

down.

I'M YOUR HOST, STEPHEN COLBERT.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

( PIANO RIFF ) ( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE )

YOU'VE GOT A LOT OF CHOICES.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR JOINING US OUT THERE, BUT ESPECIALLY FOR

JOINING US IN HERE, BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WARRIORS OF

THE FROST!

( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ) THEY WAITED OUTSIDE IN SUBZERO

WIND CHILLS TO SEE THE SHOW ( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE )

>> Jon: THAT'S INTENSE.

>> Stephen: I JUST WISH IT WAS A GOOD SHOW TONIGHT.

YOU KNOW, I JUST -- ( LAUGHTER )

WHAT?

I'M BEING TOLD IT'S A GREAT SHOW.

WONDERFUL.

THAT'S NICE BECAUSE THEY'VE WAITED SO LONG.

( PIANO RIFF ) YOU KNOW, WHILE THEY WERE

WAITING, WE WENT OUTSIDE AND GAVE THESE PEOPLE

SOME HOT CHOCOLATE-- OR FROZEN YOGURT DEPENDING ON HOW FAST IT

GOT TO YOU.

( LAUGHTER ) THE NATION IS GRIPPED WITH COLD

RIGHT NOW.

DESPITE THE COLD, YOU KNOW WHO'S ALL HOT AND BOTHERED?

DONALD TRUMP.

( AUDIENCE REACTS ) YEAH.

THE PRESIDENT'S INTELLIGENCE CHIEFS PUBLICLY CONTRADICTED HIM

TUESDAY, SO TODAY AT THE WHITE HOUSE, HE WAS ASKED IF HE STILL

BELIEVED IN THEM.

>> DO YOU STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN GINA HASPEL AND

DAN COATS TO GIVE YOU GOOD ADVICE?

>> NO, I DISAGREE WITH CERTAIN THINGS THAT THEY SAID, I THINK

I'M RIGHT, BUT TIME WILL PROVE THAT-- TIME WILL PROVE ME

RIGHT, PROBABLY.

( LAUGHTER ) >> Jon: TIME AFTER TIME

>> STEPHEN: SO YOU ALL DISAGREE, BUT ONLY OVER WHAT THE

EXISTENTIAL THREATS TO AMERICA ARE.

ANYBODY'S GUESS.

REALLY INSPIRES CONFIDENCE.

IT REMINDS ME OF LINCOLN'S STIRRING WORDS AT GETTYSBURG:

"THIS GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE,

SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH.

PROBABLY."

( LAUGHTER ) WHO KNOWS, I DON'T KNOW.

AND LATER THIS AFTERNOON, TRUMP EXPLAINED THAT WHAT THE INTEL

CHIEFS SAID TO CONGRESS WASN'T ACTUALLY WHAT THEY SAID TO

CONGRESS.

>> DID YOU TALK TO YOUR INTELLIGENCE CHIEFS TODAY ABOUT

THE DISPLEASURE YOU HAD WITH THEIR TESTIMONY?

>> I DID.

THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE TOTALLY MISQUOTED AND THEY WERE

TOTALLY... IT WAS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT.

WHAT I'D DO IS I SUGGEST THAT YOU CALL THEM THEY SAID IT WAS

FAKE NEWS.

( LAUGHTER ) >> STEPHEN: UH-HUH, SURE.

"THEY" SAID IT WAS FAKE NEWS.

(AS TRUMP) "THEY SAID IT WAS FAKE NEWS AND

THAT THE WHOLE SITUATION WAS VERY, AND I QUOTE, 'SAD.'"

( LAUGHTER ) "THAT'S WHAT THEY SAID."

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY WERE MISQUOTED?

THERE WERE CAMERAS!

IT WAS LIVE.

WE ALL WATCHED IT.

I THINK WE'RE SEEING A PREVIEW OF HIS NEXT BIG DENIAL.

(AS TRUMP) "I SPOKE TO THE TWO LOVELY

RUSSIAN LADIES IN THE VIDEO, THEY SAID THEIR PEE PEE WAS

TOTALLY TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT."

( LAUGHTER ) ( PIANO RIFF )

THEN EVENTUALLY TOTALLY OUT OF THE MATTRESS.

STEAM CLEANED IT, TOTALLY.

DIDN'T HAPPEN.

>> Jon: OH, MAN.

>> Stephen: WELL, SIR, TO HELP YOU OUT, SINCE YOU SEEM

CONFUSED, WE'VE PROVIDED THE FULL CONTEXT:

>> ISIS WILL CONTINUE TO BE A THREAT TO THE UNITED STATES.

>> WE HAVE WON AGAINST ISIS.

>> NORTH KOREA WILL SEEK TO RETAIN ITS W.M.D. CAPABILITIES.

>> WE'RE WELL ON OUR WAY TO GET DENUCLEARIZATION.

>> WE DO NOT BELIEVE IRAN IS CURRENTLY UNDERTAKING ACTIVITIES

WE JUDGE NECESSARY TO PRODUCE A NUCLEAR DEVICE.

>> THE WORLD'S LEADING STATE SPONSOR OF TERROR WILL BE ON

THE CUSP OF ACQUIRING THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS WEAPONS.

>> WE EXPECT RUSSIA WILL CONTINUE TO WAGE ITS

INFORMATION WAR AGAINST DEMOCRACIES.

>> I HAVE PRESIDENT PUTIN, HE JUST SAID IT'S NOT RUSSIA.

I WILL SAY THIS, I DON'T SEE ANY REASON WHY IT WOULD BE.

>> STEPHEN: NOW, AFTER VIEWING THAT, SOME WOULD SAY THAT DONALD

TRUMP IS DENYING REALITY AT A LEVEL THAT IS CLINICALLY INSANE.

OTHERS WOULD SAY IT TOO.

( LAUGHTER ) ( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE )

>> Jon: HEY!

HEY!

( PIANO RIFF ) >> Stephen: AND TRUMP

EXPLAINED THERE'S AN EASY WAY TO AVOID ANOTHER GOVERNMENT

SHUTDOWN, JUST GIVE HIM EVERYTHING HE WANTS.

>> IF THEY DON'T GIVE US A WALL, IT DOESN'T WORK.

WITHOUT A WALL IT DOESN'T WORK.

IF THERE'S NO WALL, IT DOESN'T WORK.

IF THERE'S NO WALL, IT DOESN'T WORK.

IF WE DON'T PUT UP A PHYSICAL BARRIER, YOU CAN FORGET IT.

>> STEPHEN: SO, THAT'S IT.

NO WALL, NO GOVERNMENT.

AND THERE IS NO WALL.

EXCEPT FOR ONE SMALL POINT: >> WE ARE... BUILDING A LOT OF

WALL, YOU KNOW I'M NOT WAITING ON THIS COMMITTEE.

WE'RE BUILDING THE WALL RIGHT NOW.

THE WALL IS GOING UP RIGHT NOW.

WE'RE BUILDING A LOT OF WALL.

WE'RE BUILDING SOME BRAND-NEW SECTIONS, LARGE SECTIONS.

THE WALL IS GETTING BUILT.

IT'S GETTING BUILT, AND IT'S GETTING BUILT SUBSTANTIALLY.

>> STEPHEN: SO HE'S GOING TO SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT UNLESS

HE GETS THE WALL WE ALREADY HAVE.

( LAUGHTER ) WHAT WAS HE LIKE AS A DAD?

(AS TRUMP) "ERIC, DON, GET DOWN HERE AND

FINISH YOUR DINNERS, WHICH I ATE HOURS AGO.

( LAUGHTER ) REALLY, REALLY FANTASTIC."

( PIANO RIFF ) "CHICKEN NUGGETS."

THEN TRUMP THREATENED TO TAKE AWAY THE PARTS OF THE WALL THAT

DO EXIST.

>> BY THE WAY, IF YOU GO TO TIJUANA AND YOU TAKE DOWN THAT

WALL, YOU WILL HAVE SO MANY PEOPLE COMING INTO OUR COUNTRY

THAT NANCY PELOSI WILL BE BEGGING FOR A WALL.

SHE WILL BE BEGGING FOR A WALL.

SHE WILL SAY, "MR. PRESIDENT, PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE US A WALL!"

I'M NOT SAYING THIS AS A REPUBLICAN, I'M NOT SAYING THIS

AS ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FACT-STATER.

( LAUGHTER ) >> STEPHEN: A "FACT STATER?"

TRUMP LIES SO MUCH, HE CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER THE WORD FOR NOT

LYING.

( LAUGHTER ) (AS TRUMP)

"OKAY, WHO WANTS TO PLAY A GAME OF FACTSTATE OR DARE?"

( LAUGHTER ) I DARE YOU TO FACTSTATE.

( LAUGHTER ) EVEN THOUGH HE HASN'T GOTTEN HIS

WALL, TRUMP FOUND PLENTY TO BE PROUD OF.

>> I'VE ACCOMPLISHED PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING ELSE.

LOOK, I ACCOMPLISHED THE MILITARY.

( LAUGHTER ) WE KNOW THAT.

THAT'S WELL KNOWN.

HE ACCOMPLISHED THE MILITARY.

WHO CAN FORGET HIS BANNER: MILITARY ACCOMPLISHED.

( LAUGHTER ) ( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE )

EARLIER IN THE DAY, TRUMP TRIED A DIFFERENT WALL STRATEGY,

TWEETING, "LETS JUST CALL THEM WALLS FROM NOW ON AND STOP

PLAYING POLITICAL GAMES!

A WALL IS A WALL!" YEAH, LET'S STOP PLAYING THESE

POLITICAL GAMES.

WHO WAS THAT JERK WHO KEPT INSISTING ON NOT CALLING THE

WALL THE WALL?

>> IF I HAVE A STEEL WALL, OR YOU COULD CALL IT A STEEL

FENCE.

BARRIERS, FENCING OR WALLS OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT.

BARRIERS, WALLS, CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT.

WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT IS OKAY WITH ME.

THEY CAN NAME IT WHATEVER.

THEY CAN NAME IT "PEACHES."

( LAUGHTER ) >> Jon: PEACHES...

( LAUGHTER ) ( APPLAUSE )

>> STEPHEN: (AS TRUMP) "WE'RE GONNA BUILD A GIANT

PEACH, AND JAMES IS GONNA PAY FOR IT.

( LAUGHTER ) BUILD THE PEACH!

BUILD THE PEACH!" ( AUDIENCE CHANTING "BUILD THE

PEACH" ) >> Stephen: YEAH, THAT'S IT!

WOW, THAT SHOULD BE HIS CAMPAIGN SLOGAN.

THERE YOU GO.

TRUMP ALSO ANNOUNCED, "MORE TROOPS BEING SENT TO THE

SOUTHERN BORDER TO STOP THE ATTEMPTED INVASION OF ILLEGALS,

THROUGH LARGE CARAVANS, INTO OUR COUNTRY.

WE HAVE STOPPED THE PREVIOUS CARAVANS, AND WE WILL STOP THESE

ALSO.

WITH A WALL IT WOULD BE SOOOO MUCH EASIER AND LESS EXPENSIVE.

BEING BUILT!" ( LAUGHTER )

HE CAN'T GET A WALL, SO HE'S SENDING IN THE ARMY TO COVER UP

FOR HIS FAILURES.

(AS TRUMP) "IT'S OUR NEW MOTTO: I MADE SOME

OOPSIES, SO SEND IN THE TROOPSIES."

( LAUGHTER ) ( APPLAUSE )

Winter Storm Jaden, Trump and Putin's G20 Meeting - Monologue - Duration: 3:31.

-Let's get to the news.

Parts of the Midwest saw temperatures

lower than those in Antarctica today,

due to Winter Storm Jaden.

People are saying it's the worst winter storm

in the last 100 years, but only the fifth-worst Jaden.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Due to frigid temperatures,

railroad tracks in Chicago were set on fire today

in order to keep trains running smoothly.

While in New York,

we have no idea why our train tracks are on fire.

[ Laughter and applause ]

Keep the rats out? I don't know.

[ Laughter ]

In an interview yesterday, former Trump adviser Roger Stone

accused special counsel Robert Mueller

of coordinating with CNN to produce

"great footage to make him look like a criminal."

He made you look like a criminal?

Dude, every picture you take makes you look like

a super villain from an old British sci-fi show.

[ Laughter and applause ]

You have "a criminal" tattooed on your back.

All it takes to make you look like a criminal

is light and eyeballs.

[ Laughter ]

According to reports during the G20 summit in November,

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin

spoke to each other for 15 minutes

without a U.S. official present to take notes.

And it would have been longer,

but that was all Putin could take.

"Yes, yes, I get it. You want wall, bro. I get it."

[ Laughter ]

Senator Kamala Harris said this week

that as part of her presidential platform,

she would advocate for a single-payer healthcare system.

It would replace our current system

of taking Flintstone vitamins and hoping for the best.

[ Laughter ]

President Trump this morning misspelled the word "there"

in a tweet that mentioned Iran.

He also forgot to put a space in Iran.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Reader! We snuck in a reader.

A Kansas man received stitches over the weekend

after he was hit by his cousin's girlfriend

during a game of Monopoly.

The girl was going to spend the night in jail,

but got out of it by rolling doubles.

[ Laughter and applause ]

Applebee's has announced it will begin selling $1 hurricanes

next month ahead of Mardi Gras. [ Audience cheers ]

Incidentally -- Yeah, let's celebrate.

Incidentally, $1 for hurricanes is also Trump's FEMA policy.

[ Laughter and applause ]

You thought that was gonna be a joke celebrating good times.

[ Laughter ]

"The Bachelor" is facing criticism after the show

traveled to Singapore this week

and perpetuated nasty stereotypes

that food from Asian countries is dirty and unsophisticated.

Incidentally, dirty and unsophisticated

is what Kelly H. listed as her occupation.

[ Laughter ]

And finally, a university in Louisiana

has temporarily closed one of its buildings

after thousands of bats began living inside.

It's the most bats ever found living in one place

since Rudy Guiliani's last brain scan.

The Government Shutdown Ends & Fox News Can't Decide Whether Trump Won or Lost | The Daily Show - Duration: 6:19.

After 35 days of the longest shutdown in American history,

America's government is officially open for business.

The shutdown is over.

800,000 furloughed federal workers

will go back to work today

and should be getting their back pay within days.

TV REPORTER: That fix only opens the government for three weeks,

and it does not provide any new money

for a border wall as President Trump had demanded.

I am very proud to announce today

that we have reached a deal to end the shutdown

and reopen the federal government.

Okay, first of all, there's nothing to be proud of.

Second of all, there's not really a deal.

Like, have you ever noticed how all of Trump's accomplishments

are just fixing things that he broke?

He's like, "Folks, good news.

I've freed the immigrant kids from their cages."

"Wait, who put them in cages?"

"Also me.

"I'm glad to announce

North Korea isn't gonna blow us up anymore."

"Wait, why were they gonna blow us up?"

"'Cause I called him a fat little rocket man."

(laughter and applause)

And who can forget when he dropped

the White House bust of Abraham Lincoln,

but then he was also the one who taped it back together.

Yeah. And you can't even tell the difference.

He's like, "I'm proud to announce

"the refurbishment of this Lincoln statue.

"Sadly, it was not filled with candy

as I had hoped, folks."

So, the government shutdown is officially over.

Which is great,

because federal workers are getting paid again.

The FDA can inspect food again,

and the national parks can finally clean up their trash

and put it where it belongs: the ocean.

And although the shutdown ended,

that doesn't mean it hasn't left behind some lasting damage.

The nonpartisan Budget Office today estimated

the last partial shutdown cost the economy $11 billion,

three billion of which will never be recovered.

The government shutdown was particularly hard

on contract employees.

Those contractors aren't guaranteed back pay.

The IRS is gonna be struggling

to get returns out to some Americans on time.

It could take at least a year to get back to normal

after five million pieces of mail went unopened.

You know, life is so unfair.

The IRS just gets to be like,

"Oh, sorry. We couldn't do your taxes

because we didn't open our mail."

But if we tried that...

If we said, "Oh, we didn't file our taxes

because we didn't open our mail,"

now all of a sudden we're roommates with Wesley Snipes.

And don't get me wrong.

I love Blade, but not 24 hours a day.

So, now, thanks to the shutdown,

the IRS is behind, like, a year,

which is bad news for everyone except Trump.

He's probably gonna be like, "Oh, that's too bad.

I was just about to have them release my tax returns."

So, although it was only 35 days,

the government shutdown's effects

will continue to hurt America for a while.

And maybe it would have been all worth it for Trump

if he had gotten some of that sweet, sweet wall money,

but he folded with nothing to show for it.

And even some of his strongest supporters are admitting

that Trump got owned by Nancy Pelosi bigly.

Some right-wing media analysts have been merciless

in the criticism of President Trump.

"Broken man." "Biggest wimp."

"Trump just allowed Nancy to walk all over him."

It's clear Trump did not come out on top.

I'm not gonna spin it for you.

She has just whipped the president of the United States.

-And this... -No!

No, no. Stop. Stop, stop.

That's a victory for Nancy Pelosi.

It will be perceived as such

on every television monitor and screen in the country,

and to deny it is to try to escape from reality.

Damn. You know it's bad

when even Trump's personal cheerleaders are dunking on him.

You understand these are the people he watches every night

to make him feel good about himself,

and now they're trashing him.

It's like, imagine if you had a book

of inspirational quotes that you used every day,

and then one day you opened it,

and it was like, "Nigga, kill yourself!"

That's the pain he's feeling right now.

(laughter)

And you heard... you heard what Lou Dobbs said.

If you can't acknowledge

that Nancy Pelosi whupped Trump's ass,

then you are not in touch with reality.

And honestly, I don't know

why Lou Dobbs delivered this message on TV.

He could have just posted a sign in the Fox News breakroom.

Anyone out there, by the way,

thinking President Trump caved today,

you don't really know the Donald Trump I know.

He right now holds all the cards.

He will secure the border one way or another.

I don't see it as a cave. I see this as a process.

This is a halftime, uh, stop in the action.

So, did he cave? Did he not?

The answer is absolutely he did not cave.

He did not cave.

He made a tactical decision,

a strategy decision

to pick the ground to fight on.

"To pick the ground to fight on!

To pick the ground!"

Yo, this... I'm sorry, this is unbelievable.

No matter what Trump does, he's always a mastermind

who's accomplishing precisely what he wanted to do.

Like, if Trump was boxing and he got knocked out cold,

like, Jeanine Pirro would be like, "Brilliant.

"Another strategic consciousness pause

"by President Trump.

You can't get knocked down if you stay on the ground!"

(laughter and applause)

What a...

But, look, if you ignore the stans over at Fox News,

it's pretty clear this shutdown

was a political disaster for President Trump.

It hurt the economy,

it destroyed his approval ratings,

and, worst of all, he's not getting his wall.

And remember, Congress only has three weeks

to reach an agreement on border security

before the government runs out of money again.

But the good news is...

the good news is there probably won't be another shutdown.

Because after seeing how bad this shutdown went,

like, only a true moron

would think of shutting down the government again,

and no one... no one is that stupid, right?

We begin today with the president's

acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney.

Is the president really prepared

to shut down the government again in three weeks?

Um, yeah, I think he actually is.

My man.

Trump news on Youtube Feb 1 2019

CHUCK SCHUMER SUFFERS ANOTHER BETRAYAL IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST TRUMP'S WALL - Duration: 10:21.

CHUCK SCHUMER SUFFERS ANOTHER BETRAYAL IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST TRUMP'S WALL

Chuck Schumer thought he had President Trump on the ropes.

The Democratic Senator believed he had won in the battle over the President's proposed

border wall with Mexico.

But Schumer is now reeling from another shocking betrayal in his fight against Trump's wall.

Chuck Schumer has a major problem.

Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer thought he had the votes to forever stonewall,

obstruct, and block a vote on any aspect of President Trump's proposed border wall with

Mexico.

With an agreement to end the shutdown now taking effect, Schumer had every reason to

gloat.

He thought his stranglehold over the Senate was unbreakable.

But he was wrong.

Schumer never thought Senators in his own party would betray him.

But that's no longer the case.

The Daily Caller reports, "Democratic New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan said on Monday

that she supports "strategic fencing" on the southern border based on the opinions

of experts on the ground."

"Last Thursday we had a bipartisan discussion on the Senate floor about the importance of

ending the shutdown, which, there was bipartisan agreement, was needless and harmful to the

American people and our economy," the New Hampshire Democrat said to CNN.

"We all pledged to work in good faith to find common ground on border security.

That's what I'm committed to doing, and I think that really starts with making sure

we're listening to the experts on the front lines on this, and that may include strategic

fencing in certain places," Senator Hassan added.

It's now clear Schumer is losing support in the Senate in his bid to block any advancement

of President Trump's proposed border security measures.

With Senator Hassan signaling that she is open to backing the wall, or at least portions

of the wall, based on the input of experts and as part of a bipartisan compromise, Schumer

is now in a tough spot.

He either needs to quell dissent immediately, or begin working with President Trump to strike

a compromise.

And it may be too late to quell dissent.

Hardline opposition to President Trump is beginning to crumble among Congressional Democrats,

many of whom represent states or districts that Trump won or came close to winning in

2016.

With the 2020 elections just around the corner, many Congressional Democrats are going to

be casting votes with an eye on swing voters which will be crucial for their re-election.

And Hassan barely won election to the Senate in the first place.

Schumer can't keep his caucus in line behind the "no deals" pledge he effectively made

earlier in the shutdown.

And if the Senate passes a bipartisan bill to construct even parts of Trump's wall,

the House will be under even more pressure to do the same.

It's unclear what the final details of such a compromise bill will look like, and whether

it can pass the GOP-held Senate and the Democratic House.

But it's obvious that many Democrats are beginning to break ranks with Chuck Schumer

and Nancy Pelosi.

We will keep you up to date with any new developments in this ongoing story.

Trump sees 'decent chance' of N. Korea's denuclearization - Duration: 1:58.

president Trump apparently disagrees with his top intelligence chiefs who say

North Korea he held the North's lack of nuclear and missile tests the return of

remains of some American troops killed during the Korean War and the safe

release of American hostages calling it a whole different story

compared to the previous Obama administration President Trump said he

looks for to see the North Korean leader at their next summit easing Jay Arirang

-------------------------------------------

Leopold went on MSNBC and said during a phone interview that he had seen some of the documents;

In fact,

there's another explanation about why Leopold's and Cormier's sources claimed they saw

documents that said Trump directed Cohen to lie, while the special counsel's office still isn't lying about saying they don't have any such

documents in their possession. That's because, in this explanation, the documents the leakers viewed actually do say Trump told Cohen to lie;

it's just that the documents they viewed weren't real.

This kid needs to pack up his crap, head back to New York, hire some good lawyers, and then

try to fight these investigations that are threatening to take him and his entire family

down.
