Trump news on Youtube Sep 22 2018

The nation's top office announced this afternoon...

President Moon will travel to New York on Sunday.

There he will to attend the UN General Assembly and hold a number of bilateral summits on

the sidelines.

Arirang's Cheongwadae correspondent Hwang Hojun has our top story.

First, he briefed the South Korean people, immediately after his return from North Korea.

And now, President Moon Jae-in will have a chance to address a global audience on the

results of his three-day summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

"President Moon Jae-in will embark on a 3-night, 5-day trip to New York from September 23rd

to the 27th to attend the 73rd UN General Assembly."

According to Nam, President Moon will arrive in New York on Sunday late afternoon, local

time.

On Monday morning, he will attend an event to raise awareness of the global drug abuse

issue, co-sponsored by 28 countries.

He is scheduled to hold a bilateral summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, which is

when they are expected to sign their countries' revised Free Trade Agreement.

Soon after, a separate meeting is scheduled with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres,

which will mark their fourth encounter since President Moon took office.

On Tuesday, President Moon will give a policy speech to about 250 U.S. experts and opinion

leaders from thinktanks including the Council on Foreign Relations, the Korea Society, and

the Asia Society, where he is expected to discuss the strides that have been made in

inter-Korean relations over the past year,... and his vision for future steps that South

Korea and the U.S. can take together to achieve irreversible peace on the Peninsula.

President Moon will deliver a keynote speech at the UN General Assembly, once again, on

Wednesday afternoon; he will likely return back to Seoul on Thursday night Korea time.

While this will be the second time President Moon has appeared at the international forum

since his inauguration, his presence in New York this time will likely draw a lot more

international attention since the 2018 Inter-Korean Summit Pyeongyang is still fresh in people's

minds.

The spotlight will especially be on President Moon's bilateral meeting with President Trump,

where he'll brief his U.S. counterpart on the results of the summit, and quite possibly

relay a personal message from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un regarding the quote 'corresponding

measures' mentioned in the Pyeongyang Joint Declaration.

Separate one-on-one meetings with other government leaders will also likely take place.

Twitter Reacts to Trump Attacking Christine Blasey Ford | Heavy.com

Trump finally went on the offensive against Christine Blasey Ford on Friday morning, questioning the credibility of her story, defending the "facts" that Brett Kavanaugh has laid out, and accusing her lawyers of being "radical left.

On Friday morning, Trump finally broke his relatively respectful demeanor regarding Christine Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegation against Brett Kavanaugh.

He posted a series of tweets questioning her motives, calling Kavanaugh's statements defending his integrity "fact", and then suggesting that Ford's lawyers are a part of a "radical left.".

These words came the night after a Las Vegas rally, leading up to which Trump had an interview with Sean Hannity in which he asked why Ford had waited over 30 years to come out about her story, seemingly unaware that it's incredibly uncommon for sexual assault victims to speak out about their attack immediately after.

As one would expect, Twitter exploded with commentary immediately after, with a majority of users condemning his words as thoughtless, especially in relation to a victim of alleged sexual trauma.

Here are all of the most intense Twitter reactions and memes in response to the president's seeming dismissal of a sexual assault allegation against a Supreme Court nominee.

Trump Might Be Tweeting Himself Straight Into Obstruction Charges - Duration: 3:55.

Our final question tonight comes from Roger Sampson.

Roger Sampson asks, "Do you think this is an odd way to defend himself that his dumb

lawyers got him to do?

In other words, stuff Trump admits in public domain on Twitter then becomes inadmissible

in court?".

Now, Roger Sampson, this was actually in response to conversations we had been having, several

people have been having on Twitter, talking about Donald Trump's tweets and the things

he accidentally admits in tweets, whether or not that is part of his legal strategy

then trying to argue that these cannot be admissible in court.

They 100 percent can.

Donald Trump's tweets are public record.

They are official Presidential statements according to the court rulings.

That's why he's not allowed to block people on Twitter.

I don't think if it is their legal strategy that it's a very good one, but more importantly

all of these tweets are being given attention by the special prosecutor's office.

We know that because people who have already had to testify or answer questions with him

have said that they've specifically been asked questions about tweets that the President

has sent out.

Any time Trump goes on there, and says something stupid, and accidentally admits to, I don't

know, obstruction of justice, that is 100 percent admissible.

It's not just actually because he's the President.

To give a little bit more back story on this, and to kind of issue a warning to anyone out

there who wants to say something crazy on Twitter, courts have ruled that something

that you say on social media is absolutely admissible in courts, and further more it

is a legitimate reason that employers can use to fire you.

If an employer does not like what you say on social media, even if it has nothing to

do with the company, nothing to do with your job, you can still be fired for it.

If you say something horribly offensive, they can fire you.

If they're just looking for some kind of reason to get rid of you, and they go through, oh,

this guy was out partying on a Tuesday night.

They could unfortunately do that.

The laws in this country have become kind of so stretched that employers don't really

have to have a viable reason to get rid of you.

Some states, like where I am state of Florida, you're allowed to fire somebody without reason,

without cause.

You don't have to tell them why.

You can just walk up and say, "You're fired".

Can I ask why?

You can, but I don't have to tell you.

Bye.

Employees in this country have very few protections at all.

Tweets, Facebook posts, anything on social media happens to be one of those new ways

that employers are using that submitting it if they have to in court if an employee files

a lawsuit against wrongful termination, which is why these things have been upheld.

I tell you that just to say that yes, our tweets can be held against us in the court

of law.

Donald Trump's tweets, which now are considered legally protected, hell yeah, those can be

used against him in a court of law or in an investigation or anything like that.

This is one of those times when luckily the President is held to the same standard as

the rest of the public, so everything that man has put on his Twitter feed is absolutely

something that I believe is of interest to Robert Muller, and based on people who have

already talked to Muller, he is 100 percent paying very close attention to the President's

Twitter feed.

Now, that's all the questions we have for today, but again, if you have a question you

want us to answer on the show, send it using the hashtag "Ask ROF".

Send it to me directly at Farron balanced or send it to the show at Ring of Fire Radio.
