Mayor of city in England 'bans' Trump

The mayor of Sheffield, England, announced that he was "banning" President Trump from his city ahead of Trump's visit to the United Kingdom.

Sheffield's Lord Mayor Magid Magid put on a sombrero while making the announcement at a city council meeting,  BBC reported Wednesday.

The Green Party councillor on Twitter called Trump a "wasteman" -- a British  slang word for someone with no merit.

Magid even wore a matching T-shirt with the phrase.

He also declared July 13 to be "Mexico Solidarity Day," the same day when Trump is scheduled to arrive in the United Kingdom for his working visit with Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth II.

BBC noted that Magid does not actually have the power to ban anyone from the city without approval from the council.

Magid listed five reasons why Trump is a "wasteman," including pulling the U.S.

out of the Paris Climate Agreement, his travel ban targeting majority-Muslim countries and his defense of white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville, Va., last year.

Magid was born in an Ethiopian refugee camp and immigrated to Sheffield when he was 5 years old, BBC reported.

At 28 years old, Magid is the youngest mayor to be elected in the city.

The mayor also criticized Trump's zero tolerance immigration policy that has caused the "imprisonment of children at borders.

He also called on his supporters to stage protests against Trump and to donate to organizations combating his policies.

Thousands of people are expected to protest Trump's visit to the U.

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges - Duration: 4:44.

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges.

President Donald Trump's administration has withdrawn legal policies developed, by

former President Barack Obama which encouraged the use of racial categories to grant or deny

university slots.

The "affirmative action" racial policies were discarded on Tuesday, just before Independence

Day.

"Such racial policies are outrageously wrong," says Roger Clegg, president and general counsel

of the Center for Equal Opportunity, a nonprofit think tank which studies civil rights, immigration,

and integration.

He continued:

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country, that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

The new Trump policies are "good news," Clegg told Breitbart News in an interview

July 3.

"The Obama guidance [on affirmative-action policies] pushed schools to engage in race-based

decision-making, which is unfair as a matter of policy and inconsistent with what the Supreme

Court has said."

The Justice Department should also weigh in on and support the lawsuit Asian Americans

have brought, against Harvard University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

regarding discrimination in college admissions, he added.

"I hope when it gets to the Supreme Court, we'll have a five-justice majority to put

an end to this practice altogether," he asserts.

"Too many Asian Americans applying to elite schools are discriminated against on account

of their race," said Linda Chavez, who co-founded the CEO think-tank.

"That is the message of our new study, and it is past time that schools quit the morally

dubious means of using race or ethnicity as 'a factor' in selecting their student

bodies."

In May, Clegg's CEO highlighted the issue of elite schools discriminating against Asian-Americans.

According to a CEO study, "at Harvard University, which also uses race in admissions, Asian

Americans as a percentage of all undergraduates sharply increased to 21 percent and then significantly

dropped," remaining at about 17 percent since then.

In New York City, Asian-Americans have condemned a proposal by Mayor Bill de Blasio, to end

admission testing to the city's top high schools to increase black and Hispanic enrollment.

Currently, Asian American students predominate at the city's elite schools, a situation

de Blasio hopes to change by allowing some 45 percent of students in the elite schools

be black or Latino.

De Blasio defended his plan, writing at Chalkbeat, "Anyone who tells you this is somehow going

to lower the standard, at these schools is buying into a false and damaging narrative.

It's a narrative that traps students in a grossly unfair environment, asks them to

live with the consequences, and actually blames them for it."

Clegg, however, says when skin color and national origin are factors in deciding where a student

can attend school – a policy based on discrimination is, in fact, in effect.

To people such as de Blasio and other progressives embracing race-based policies, Clegg says:

Such policies are outrageously wrong.

What the Trump administration is doing is the opposite of racist.

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

Whether or not you're a fan of President Trump in other areas, I think all of us should

welcome this initiative.

Clegg says the Asian American lawsuit against Harvard and the anger over de Blasio's plan

in New York City show, it is not just white people who are discriminated against via politically

correct preferences:

We have a confluence of events here that makes this an important moment in the way the country

is going to move forward, on this issue of racial and ethnic preferences in education.

I think many non-conservatives who may have sympathy for the use of affirmative action

are growing increasingly uncomfortable, with the fact that Asian Americans are being discriminated

against in addition to whites.

It's wrong to discriminate against anybody – including whites.

"The only policy that makes sense going forward is one that reflects E Pluribus Unum,"

Clegg says.

Donald Trump Just Got The News He's Been Waiting For - Duration: 12:14.

Donald Trump Just Got The News He's Been Waiting For

2018 has been a good year for Trump overall.

The implementation of last year's historic tax cuts has given him a strong boost in approval.

And Trump just got some fantastic news that he's been waiting months for.

The results of the 2018 midterm elections are going to be directly tied to the people's

opinions of President Trump.

If Republicans do well, it will send a clear message that the people are standing with

President Trump.

But if they don't do well, it will send a loud-and-clear message that President Trump

will have a lot of work to do if he is to be re-elected in 2020.

And thankfully for Trump, some early news just dropped which shows it could forecast

strong Republican support during the upcoming midterms.

Arizona's 8th Congressional District hosted a special election on Tuesday.

The race was against Republican former state Senator Debbie Lesko and Democrat candidate

Hiral Tipirneni.

Democrats targeted in on this race, hoping to get an early win prior to the upcoming

midterms.

But they received nothing but bad news on Tuesday, with Lesko coming in with a sizable

win.

This is great news for President Trump, who sometimes requires positive results to actually

know where people are coming from.

With the media so biased against Trump, it can be extremely difficult to differentiate

actual facts compared against anti-Trump rhetoric disguised as facts.

As reported by The Daily Caller:

"REPUBLICAN FORMER STATE SEN.

DEBBIE LESKO DEFEATED DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE HIRAL TIPIRNENI TUESDAY IN THE SPECIAL ELECTION

TO REPLACE TRENT FRANKS IN ARIZONA'S 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP WON THE DISTRICT BY 21 POINTS DURING THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION,

AND LESKO WAS ABLE TO CARRY IT BY SIX POINTS, ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.

LESKO WILL REPLACE FORMER GOP REP.

TRENT FRANKS, WHO RESIGNED IN DECEMBER OVER ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT.

FRANKS REPORTEDLY HAD PRESSURED A FEMALE AIDE TO CARRY HIS SURROGATE CHILD AND OFFERED HER

$5 MILLION.

"I'VE REALLY COME A LONG WAY AND THIS IS REALLY QUITE OVERWHELMING, IT'S VERY

SURREAL," LESKO SAID DURING HER VICTORY SPEECH.

"TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO I LEFT AN ABUSIVE HUSBAND AND I SURE AS HECK NEVER WOULD HAVE

DREAMT IN A MILLION YEARS THAT I WOULD BE RUNNING FOR CONGRESS TO BE A CONGRESSWOMAN.

I MEAN, THAT'S RIGHT, NOW I'M ACTUALLY RUNNING FOR CONGRESS, I WON!"

TIPIRNENI SAID SHE STILL PLANS ON RUNNING AGAIN THIS NOVEMBER, THE AP REPORTED.

SHE IS CONFIDENT THE MARGIN WILL CONTINUE TO SHRINK AND EVENTUALLY TIP THE SCALES IN

HER FAVOR.

"WE WEREN'T SURPRISED, WE'RE NOT SURPRISED," TIPIRNENI TOLD THE AP. "AND WE'RE STILL

WAITING TO SEE THE REST OF THE VOTES.

WE'RE NOT CONCEDING.

WE'RE STILL WAITING FOR VOTES TO BE COUNTED — SO THIS ISN'T OVER."

THE AP CALLED THE RACE FOR LESKO AFTER STATE OFFICIALS SHARED THE RESULTS OF 155,000 MAIL-IN

BALLOTS, REPRESENTING ALMOST 75 PERCENT OF THE VOTES CAST.

No President can ever be sure how the midterm elections will go.

The 2010 midterm elections were terrible for then-President Obama.

But Donald Trump's approval rating is currently higher than Obama's was at that point.

Only time will tell how the President will do.

Do you think Republicans will do well in the upcoming midterm elections?

Maxine Waters Took Her Awful Plan To Terrorize Trump Officials To The Next Level - Duration: 11:40.

Maxine Waters Took Her Awful Plan To Terrorize Trump Officials To The Next Level

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters shocked Americans when she called for liberal mobs

to terrorize Trump cabinet officials if they saw them in public.

Even Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer called for her to back down.

But instead, Waters took her campaign to an awful new level.

Instead of calling off the dogs, Waters is doubling and tripling down on her comments.

A former aide told The Hill that Waters believes the Democrats have been playing "nice guy"

politics and that it's time to step up their opposition to Donald Trump.

The Hill reports:

"She's definitely pushing people into a place of discomfort," said the former

aide, adding that Waters is "slowly but surely getting the Democrats to play the game

the way Trump plays it."

The former staffer said that Trump's 2016 mimicking of Serge Kovaleski, a New York Times

reporter who has a physical disability, "ignited her fire."

"That was the moment that really spurred her to speak out against him," the former

staffer said.

"It was a moment that I think snapped her into accepting this is now our reality and

accepting her role as an emerging soldier against this administration."

Democrats are heeding Waters advice.

A gang of unhinged liberals stalked Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and her husband Senate

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell at an event they attended.

The wild-eyed mob confronted Chao as she was getting into a car, but Chao refused to be

bullied and got right back in her tormentor's faces.

Liberal mobs then confronted Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt

at a restaurant where a woman confronted him and angrily demanded he resign.

The unhinged liberal ranted at Pruitt, "Hi, uhm, I just wanted to urge you to resign because

of what you're doing to the environment."

"This is my son.

He loves animals.

He loves clean air.

He loves clean water."

"We deserve somebody at the EPA who actually does protect our environment, someone who

believes in climate change and takes it seriously for the benefit of all of us, including our

children.

So, I encourage you to resign before your scandals push you out," she concluded.

The woman wrote about the encounter on social media, saying:

"EPA head Scott Pruitt was 3 tables away as I ate lunch with my child.

I had to say something.

This man is directly and significantly harming my child's — and every child's — health

and future with decisions to roll back environmental regulations for the benefit of big corporations,

while he uses taxpayer money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

He's corrupt, he's a liar, he's a climate change denier, and as a public servant, he

should not be able to go out in public without hearing from the citizens he's hurting."

While Waters remarks are inspiring liberals to harass Trump officials in public, the President

is making Waters the new face of the Democrat Party, and it is making many Democrat strategists

nervous that their party will be defined by unhinged mobs engaging in un-American bullying

tactics and will cost them the midterm elections.

'Borat' Creator Sacha Baron Cohen Trolls Trump With Independence Day Warning - Duration: 4:05.

Is Sacha Baron Cohen working on a film about President Donald Trump?   The man behind "Borat" and "Da Ali G Show" released a clip on Twitter on Wednesday that implies the president is the subject of his next project

The clips, which features old footage of Trump slamming Baron Cohen, doesn't reveal much

"This third-rate character named Sacha Baron Cohen, I only wish he that would've been punched in the face so many times right now, he'd be in a hospital," Trump says in the clip

A message from your President @realDonaldTrump on Independence Day pic.twitter

com/O2PwZqO0cs— Sacha Baron Cohen (@SachaBaronCohen) July 4, 2018  The footage is a slightly doctored version of a video Trump posted in in 2012, after Baron Cohen ― in character as General Admiral Aladeen from "The Dictator" ― dumped an urn of what appeared to be ashes on Ryan Seacrest at a red carpet event for the Oscars

Trump also tweeted about the event, calling Baron Cohen "a moron who should have been pummeled

"  As Trump speaks in the clip posted by the actor, a number of messages appear on the screen including, "He's back as you've never seen him before

"   When Trump urges Baron Cohen to "go to school, learn about being funny," messages on the screen warn that "Sacha graduates soon

"  Then, it switches to a Trump University logo.   No other details have been released, so it's not yet known if Baron Cohen has something in the works or if he's just trolling the president

Trump was one of the unwitting targets of "Da Ali G" show in a 2003 episode in which Baron Cohen's character tried to pitch him on a product called ice cream gloves

Trump walked out when he realized it was a prank.  I never fall for scams. I am the only person who immediately walked out of my 'Ali G' interview— Donald J

Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 30, 2012  However, Baron Cohen told James Corden in 2016 that Trump was with him for 7 minutes

"Is that a long time for an Ali G interview?" Corden asked.  "Yes," Baron Cohen said

"Quite a long time."   Baron Cohen also targeted Trump in the 2016 film "The Brothers Grimsby

In Your Face Pelosi! Trump's Tax Cuts Are Showing HISTORIC Gains! - Duration: 4:46.

In Your Face Pelosi! Trump's Tax Cuts Are Showing HISTORIC Gains!

The "crumbs" that Nancy Pelosi complained about regarding President Trump's tax cuts,

are Making America GREAT Again in a big way.

In just six months since Trump's historic tax cuts took effect, women, minorities, and

small businesses are WINNING and THRIVING!

From Washington Examiner

When Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December, congressional Democrats denounced

the legislation as a reckless attempt to help wealthy corporations at the expense of everyone

else.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., famously dismissed the law's benefits to

most taxpayers as "crumbs."

Six months later, many of the groups Pelosi and other Democrats warned would be worse

off as a result of the tax reform legislation — including minorities, women, and small

businesses — are not only thriving, they are experiencing some of the most notable

economic growth in the country's history.

In January, the black unemployment rate was 7.7 percent, but by May, it had dropped to

5.9 percent, the lowest unemployment rate recorded for African-Americans since the Bureau

of Labor Statistics began to report such figures in 1972.

This rate is made even more impressive considering that prior to President Trump's time in

office, African-Americans had never experienced an unemployment rate below seven percent.

Hispanic and Asian unemployment rates are also at historic lows.

Hispanic unemployment in 2018 is on pace to be the lowest annual average ever, and the

unemployment rate for Asians has dropped by nearly a full percentage point, from 3 to

2.1 percent, since January.

That rate is now sitting at its lowest point in BLS records, which date back to 2003.

Women are also enjoying groundbreaking economic gains.

May's 3.3 percent unemployment rate for women is lower than any rate recorded since

2000 and is on pace to be the lowest annual rate since 1953.

Tax reform has improved other aspects of the economy as well.

BLS reports wage growth for the first quarter of 2018 was greater than at any time since

the recession of 2008, and numerous welfare programs are experiencing dramatic enrollment

decreases.

For example, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports total Medicaid and

Children's Health Insurance Program enrollment dropped by 728,000 from December 2017 to March

2018, the most recent month for which data are available.

By contrast, in the four-month period prior to the tax cuts (September 2017 through December

2017), enrollment increased by 163,000.

Similarly, enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly referred

to as food stamps, decreased by more than 1.1 million from December 2017 to the end

of March 2018.

Pelosi and other opponents of the tax reform legislation continue to insist the cuts primarily

benefit corporations, whose tax rate under the bill fell from 35 percent to 21 percent.

Cutting the corporate tax rate was necessary to make America more competitive with the

rest of the industrialized world, which has for many years offered much lower corporate

tax rates.

But corporations weren't the only businesses to benefit from the law.

Various changes affecting small business owners — including the creation of a 20 percent

deduction for qualified business income for pass-through businesses — have helped spur

confidence among small businesses, who employ about half of all private sector workers.

The National Federation of Independent Business reports that its Small Business Optimism Index

in May reached the "second highest level in the NFIB survey's 45-year history."

And NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan said optimism among small businesses "is

on a stratospheric trajectory thanks to recent tax cuts and regulatory changes."

As difficult as it may be for Pelosi and other advocates of higher taxes and more government

control to admit, the successes of the Republican tax reform legislation clearly illustrate

that when people are empowered to keep more of their own money, everyone in society benefits.

TRUMP TO ANNOUNCE SUPREME COURT PICK JULY 9TH - Duration: 13:19.

breaking right now Fox News is learning President Trump is close to selecting a

new Supreme Court pick good morning everyone I'm Sandra Smith live inside

America's newsroom on this July 5th July 5th idea and I stay off yesterday I'm

Leland Vinod in for Bill Hemmer a source telling Fox News that the president has

wrapped up the interview process and days from now he is set to announce his

nomination to the highest court in the land the highest correspondent in the

land chief White House correspondent John Roberts live from the North Lawn

John were only a couple of days away from this things obviously can change

where is the diss president in his decision process now Leland and Sandra

good morning to you I told that there could still be some more short

conversations that occur over the next few days as the president makes his

final decision but the day has wrapped up the formal interview process

interviewing six judges Monday and Tuesday of this week he spoke with one

of them twice which accounts for the seven conversations that the White House

was talking about earlier in the week it was throwing of throwing us off a little

bit we didn't know if he had seven candidates or seven conversations turns

out he had six candidates and seven conversations I am told that Judge

Raymond Catholic is stock is rising he is an appellate judge from the Sixth

Circuit Court of Appeals appear appointed by President Bush in 2008 he's

51 years old so he could potentially sit on the bench for three decades he's

described as a strict constitutionalist got his law degree by the way at the

University of Michigan so it's not the typical Harvard or Yale pedigree I'm

told by some conservative groups that there is a bit of concern that his

judicial record is a little bit light but that he does appear to be a reliable

conservative judge also still in the running is Brett Kavanaugh from the DC

Circuit Court of Appeals he is said to be most in the mold of neo gore said she

was appointed last year some conservative groups have been engaged in

a whispering campaign to try to torpedo him because of an opinion that he wrote

on an Obamacare case some conservatives believe that he paved the way to save

Obamacare other conservatives though say that

that criticism is wholly unfair and Judge Amy Kony Barrett still in the

running though I'm told her stock is falling a little bit she's drawing a

tremendous amount of fire from Democrats who feared that she would overturn Roe

vs. Wade I'm told that the president would like to appoint a woman and that

nominating her would likely put Democrats like Joe Manchin Joe Joe

Donnelly and Heidi Heitkamp in a box that they would find it very difficult

to vote against a woman so she is still a possibility now a word about Senator

Mike Lee of Utah he is on the president's list of 25 and the President

did speak to him on Monday Lee described that conversation as a

quote interview sources tell Fox News that the president really called Lee to

ask what who he thought he should put on the bench and I'm told by multiple

sources that Lee is not in the running to replace Kennedy strongest horses in

the race at this point Cavanaugh Catholic and Barrett we expect an

announcement on Monday if it follows the Gorsuch model we should hear who the

next we're hopefully going to hear before then but we will be introduced to

the nominee to replace the Justice Anthony Kennedy 8 p.m. or so on Monday

night Leland alright so we have that domestically going on obviously a lot of

coverage of that you have the White House now also looking forward for

secretary pompey's trip he's overseas heading to North Korea what is the White

House saying about objectives and expectations well this really is a very

important meeting Leland and could determine how the conversation goes

forward with North Korea if it goes forward at all secretary Pompeo left

Andrews Air Force Base very early this morning just before 2 a.m.

he'll be meeting with Kim Jong Unidas top deputies there were two days the

meeting comes amid intelligence reports that North Korea is making improvements

in its uranium enrichment facility at Yongbyon and at two other locations last

weekend the National Security Advisor John Bolton said no one in the

administration is quote overburdened by naivete when it comes to North Korea and

the spokeswoman for the State Department Heather now heard saying that when he

gets there secretary Pompeo is going to make it clear what North Korea is

expected to do to live up to its side of the deal listen here

the US government keep in close eye on North Korea and the Secretary has been

very clear and very blunt with the North Koreans about what he expects and I'll

leave it at that he's going to stay overnight Pompeo will for the very first

time in Pyongyang he'll also have a stop in Japan on the way back to brief Shinzo

Abe a on the content of the talks so we'll see the president it's still very

optimistic about all of this Leland but North Korea certainly making moves that

have caused some people to doubt their sincerity even some Republicans doubting

that as well John Roberts North Lawn of the White House John thank you Sanders

thanks a little more for more on all this we go to Steve Hays editor in chief

for the Weekly Standard and a fox news contributor Steve good morning to you

morning Sandra all right so Monday night's gonna be a big night we're

learning as John Roberts just reported 8:00 p.m. Monday July 9th we expect to

have the president name his pick to fill the vacant seat expectations are rising

he apparently has narrowed it down here but judge

Raymond Kessler's you just heard stock is rising Cavanaugh Barrett what are

your expectations well I think people think conservatives think that Catholic

is a terrific intellect and a fantastic writer he's high on the list of a lot of

outside conservative groups people that I've spoken with so I think the three

that that John Roberts mentioned as sort of finalists if we're putting him in

that category would please all manner of conservatives notwithstanding the

criticism of Brett Kavanaugh that you've seen from some conservative groups this

is going to be a big decision for the president he's apparently already

completed these six interviews with six judges that process is over you know

we're all of kind of wondering here we are Thursday the day after the holiday

if the president knows yet who is going to pick just a few days left Steve this

is this is going to have a lasting impact on on this White House and this

president's legacy it will and you know what's mostly interesting about this is

is the president sort of inclination to make judgments and decisions on on a

visceral basis this is a president who trusts his gut he makes gut decisions

and you do wonder after those those rounds of interviews whether the

president doesn't have in his own who he wants to pick that said the

president doesn't sit on those decisions very often when he makes a decision we

usually learn about it shortly after he makes the decision so it could be that

he's still doing some final consultations as we head into the

weekend what does the fight look like as far as Democrats jumping in after his

pick is named Monday night well I think to a certain extent it depends who the

pick is exactly what contours the the fight will take but we know that it will

be a big bloody fight I mean I just think we're looking as we look forward

at what's about to unfold here we're looking at a fight that will be sort of

unmoored from facts I think Democrats and critics of the administration will

use the the records will had however extensive they might be for whoever is

chosen as sort of a jumping-off point to make attacks on the candidate but that

won't be limited the the attacks won't be limited to those actual factual

records you're gonna see spin you're gonna see I think misleading arguments

you've already seen some in the case of Amy Kony Barrett with the n-double-a-cp

and others going after her for something she didn't actually do I think we can

expect that that's just the beginning that we're likely to see a lot more of

the same it feels so fast but yet you know the president already had his list

two years ago so it was really coming down to these interviews which he has

now completed so we will wait that big announcement happening Monday night it

will be a big one indeed meanwhile day after the holiday here July 5th Mike

Pompeo on his way to North Korea what do you think he hopes to accomplish there

well that's a good question he's got two days of meetings which as you pointed

out was longer than he had spent before I hope that we hear more about complete

verifiable irreversible denuclearization something that the administration hasn't

spent a lot of time on since the president tweeted that North Korea was

no longer a nuclear threat I think the president's public statements make this

job that Mike Pompeo has now all the more difficult because the president has

basically taken his victory lap and said we've gotten what we wanted from North

Korea they've made these commitments to us North Korea isn't a nuclear threat

any longer and Mike Pompeo char just to go to Pyongyang to sit down

across the table with North Korean leaders and to say well despite what the

president said we do still see you as a threat your promises aren't good enough

and what we need now is a regime of verification so that we can understand

that the promises that you've made are actually being kept I think it's a very

difficult decision in any case because of the 30 years of history we have with

North Korea but it's especially difficult now given the public rhetoric

coming out of the administration yeah we'll see if he comes back with any sort

of tangible evidence of their efforts to denuclearize Steven Hayes thank you you

bet thanks Andrew all right well we have much more on the Supreme Court pic and

Secretary Mike Pompeo is trip to North Korea with today's headliner Ari

Fleischer will be joining us live at 10:30 thank you for that Fox News Alert

overseas is the race against time continues in Thailand rescue teams

fighting to save a soccer team trapped inside a cave they are draining water

from inside the cave but those efforts may be washed away as another storm is

headed to the cave area one of the other rescue possibilities having these young

soccer players swim out is court challenging obviously the zero

visibility it's a confined space

be terrifying but the children are aware of the caves and are the caves I've been

indicated very often Greg Kot live in London Greg and we talked yesterday

we're still trying to figure out what they were going to do what the rescue

plan was do they have one yet well they're still trying to figure that out

legal in again as you noted it is a race against time it is a race against water

or efforts made to save this young soccer team and their coach stuck in

that cave in northern Thailand the latest forecast from the weather

service in the area is that heavy rain is predicted as early as Saturday there

is more thinking about getting these kids out soon that would mean them

swimming and possibly using scuba gear for portions of the extrication 's and

that is very very tricky but it seems like more and more officials are willing

to take a little bit more of a risk the water is being pumped out of the flooded

cave so far 34 million gallons have been drained the water level in the cave is

going down by about a half an inch an hour but all that could be basically

washed away if those new rains come in again the

other options are drilling a tunnel to reach them or waiting until the rains

and the water subside but either of those options could take months and the

folks look like they don't want to do that Leland yeah so much of the decision

process is based on the health of these young men inside the cave we've seen

that video of them what do we know about their condition so far so good another

day of hearing about them and seeing them and it seems like they are in fact

in good shape they're getting a lot of attention now seven rescue workers Thai

Navy SEALs and others are with them all the time at any given time being swapped

out there's food and medicine and other things that they need they're said to be

chatting joking they want the latest news about the the World Cup soccer

tournament and the feeling is that emergency teams could get more food and

more supplies to them if they think if there is the possibility they could be

in there for the long haul but the real worries the psychological effect as well

they've been down there now for 12 days in the dark also if those waters

start rising then literally their breathing space could be cut off again

all the while the family's up top waiting hoping praying like I guess the

rest of the world back to you Lila yeah 8 p.m. there in Thailand already tonight

Gregg Pal cot in London Greg thanks and Wow it you think about the parents

outside the cave seeing that video of their kids inside and knowing there is

nothing they can do but efforts are ongoing to get them out and and they're

asking about the World Cups so they're in a situation where they can be

discussing that we I wish I wish I had that presence of mine yeah yeah hope for

the best for them we'll keep monitoring that situation there meanwhile two

people being exposed to the same nerve agent that put into X Russian spy and

his daughter in the hospital what police are saying both incidents have in common

President TRUMP PAYS TRIBUTE TO EACH BRANCH OF MILITARY - Duration: 12:13.

going down down pick up my baby turn it around time yeah congratulations

by the way to Joey Chestnut who we just saw right in that duck

eating situation he's 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes a new world record

do you really in your heart of hearts believe someone should be congratulated

for eating hot dogs fast one please

did you have a hot dog yesterday I don't really eat hot dogs exactly so you can't

see the joy in it it was it's the craziest thing

Julius he keeps putting doesn't swallow it just goes right down the esophagus

using peristalsis he's just following the rules apparently it's legal the way

fun to watch and enjoy the next day when we get to see the video and it's what

what we always see the day after independence I have actually do every

year on July 5th we talk about the hot dog Everson wrote about that he worried

about the Coney Island really look really close historian arguing the

parchment that you got to really look close I could get your next book yeah

absolutely so they had a Coney Island back then oh yeah everybody knows the

ferris wheel no wasn't as popular oh gods phony Island

hey there's so much going on today I hope we get it and done with in three

hours so let's get started Secretary of State Mike Pompeo heading

over to North Korea for the third time he's heading there he's drug flying all

night he's trying to hammer out some type of denuclearization timeline North

Korea likes the one where there is none he'd like to have one that's right his

third visit as Brian was saying since he became Secretary of State coming ahead

of his trip to Tokyo to meet with world leaders for the first time since the

historic Singapore summit okay so Mike Pompeo is on the airplane Gretsch incas

is in the bureau and he's gonna tell us a little bit about what we can expect

and Griff really his mission is come back with something that's right guys

good morning happy July of five look this may be his most important trip to

date to be honest with you boarded a flight just few hours ago at Joint Base

Andrews and his destination is a binding denuclearization agreement with Kim

jong-un but new questions are being raised about chairman Kim's commitments

that he made last month Singapore summit to dismantle because US intelligence

reports and satellite imagery showing if the regime has been working to conceal

its nuclear and ballistic missile programs but State Department

spokeswoman Heather Nauert says that the Secretary has been very firm the US

government keep in close eye on North Korea and the Secretary has been

clear and very blunt with the North Koreans about what he expects and I'll

leave it at that but now it has also said that there is no timeline for an

agreement as you mentioned Brian you know some see this as administration may

be softening their approach in Korean experts like Gordon Chang who was on a

little earlier this morning says there is real pressure on pompeia this time I

think this is a make-or-break trip for Trump administration policy you know the

Trump policy is based on the assumption that Kim jong-un has made a strategic

decision to give up his weapons but we've seen evidence over the last week

that shows that North Korea is racing ahead

Pompeyo will spend Friday and Saturday North Korea overnighting for the first

time there then he'll stop in Japan and South Korea on the way home to meet with

leaders to talk about exactly what he hammers out guys we'll see maybe third

time's a charm yeah you got a hope all right Griff thank you very much

so no timetable he's got to come back and show something and they say that the

North Koreans probably or disappointed super hardball right now before the

actual negotiations start well let's hope because the only thing that gets

their attention is let's bring everything back to the way it was

remember when the president wrote that letter and said hey we thought that we

have a shot at doing something but it's not going to happen let me know if

you're gonna get serious then they got serious we had some talks it got

underway the president gave this his cell phone to Kim jong-un he does--he

unfold and that he's in if he continues to not do anything he'll blow up

anything that we've had and we'll go back there's got to be clear to him we'd

go back to strict sanctions again and you go back to the way things used to be

did they want that it was a broad commitment that he gave but not how or

when they're gonna plan to dien ook and that's what Pompeo is there to find out

right if if the president gave kim jong-un his cell phone number I'm

surprised he didn't call him while he was in New York this weekend the New

York Post does a pretty funny photo spread of a Kim jong-un look-alike

because it was suggested that he might come to New York City so it shows him

actually eating a hotdog I don't know about his Paris traces peristalsis power

structure that was Gorbachev and also he's down on the subway and somebody

goes I don't know who that but I hope he's here to fix the train

Steve that that's one thing you did bring up something serious there that's

when Kim jong-un's expected to come to New York City for the UN will they

actually meet in New York City maybe in our studio that was happening right

we're talking about New York City down in Washington the president had the

picnic the Independence Day picnic Milania was there the first lady Mike

Pence the vice president and his wife were there and some of the cabinet

members Melania dressed in a red white and blue and he's there and this is

something they do every year for about 500 military families and what was

interesting and has been observed in all the papers today is the fact that the

president honored each branch of the military by giving somebody in each

branch shout-out he even mentioned the space force nonetheless here's the

president yesterday at the White House Melania and I are honored to celebrate

American independence with the heroes who protect American independence but

our freedom exists only because there are brave Americans willing to give

their lives to defend it and defend our great country to every service member

here today and stationed around the world thank you for keeping America safe

strong proud mighty and free god bless you god bless our military and god bless

america there I go and the president United

States today is gonna be flying out to Montana to stump for the Republican

Senate and congressional candidates we're gonna tell you more about that how

he is going full anti Jon Tester tonight now The Washington Post wrote this big

story about how well traditionally there's a lot of celebrities on the

White House lawn and quoted Jimmy Fallon of saying how thrilling it was to speak

and and host for Barack Obama the president United States does the

Washington Post get it that the president doesn't care if celebrities

show up on the lawn in fact it would put him in an awkward position because for

the most part the Hollywoods against him and it's working because most of America

is not for Hollywood they like their movies not their opinions and for the no

Hollywood celebrities to show up does not bother the president

to makes him look his point of view look more pure through some of the things

that Hollywood was saying some of the protesters were saying it was

Independence Day you have lots of military men and women that were so

grateful for and some of them were out at the Statue of Liberty they wanted to

go and honor this country and thanked the military for their sacrifice lots of

parents were out there with their kids the Statue of Liberty normally close us

down at 6:15 it had to close at three o'clock yesterday as a precaution it was

evacuated because look at this there's a protester a woman that's not happy with

this president and doesn't like his zero pala zero tolerance policy and so she

goes up and stay it sits on the feet of the Statue of Liberty and had to shut it

down they did have to shut it down and 4,500 visitors had to be evacuated their

holiday plans were dashed according to one of the two police officers by the

way those guys are experts remember within the guy scaled Trump Tower one of

those two officers was there that day as well apparently according to the New

York Post today the one of the cops said that she threatened this 44 year old

immigrant threatened to push them off threatened to push their ladder down and

it took him a couple of hours but then she wound up being taken into custody

and she was arrested last year apparently she assaulted a cop well by

the way what point is she trying to make who did she win over not only does the

abolish ice have a very small constituency stopping people from going

to Liberty Island on the 4th of July and then having our 16 NYPD officials have

to stop what they're doing to go there knowing that there were always

vulnerable to a terror attack of July 4th Luke who was just awarded by the FBI

so the the whole movement rise and resist came up and said listen we plan

to banner drop today at the Statue of Liberty this action did not include the

climber on the Statue our action was completed when it was not part of our

action our first priority and concerns for the safety of the climber

right they want to say hey we're different but we support my first

priority is the is the health and safety of the NYPD officer there were 13 of

them that were involved in her rescue and you think well it's just at the feet

of the Statue of Liberty if you look at the view of it

really high up it was 25 feet up no I think 89 feet from the others where she

was and she said to the cops don't worry about me because I've tied myself to

this green bolt thing and they go that's the vent that is gonna pull off if you

fall and you are gonna go all the way down so anyway they eventually were able

to harness her and take her down and she was arrested right somebody who wasn't

arrested yesterday Julianne Moore because I was at work and then I was

asleep right so I was definitely possible to break the law

almost important to you guys morning let's start with a Fox News Alert

rescuers right now in a race against mother nature in Thailand as a monsoon

threatens the rescue of 12 voice crews draining water from the cave where a

boys soccer team has been trapped for nearly two weeks

heavy rain flooded the cave as they first wandered inside only divers can

get in or out right now the other issue most of the boys don't know how to swim

I'll certainly keep you posted Vice President Mike Pence has been meeting

with contenders for the Supreme Court vacancy it's not known which candidates

he's seen president Trump has interviewed seven so far he's set to

announce his decision on Monday Independence Day fireworks lady at the

skies home coast to coast to the Macy's fireworks show in New York City the

largest in the country with more than 3 million people attending the spectacle

how about this another Independence Day tradition the Nathan's hot dog eating

contest I find that so hard to watch Joey Chestnut down 74 hot dogs in 10

minutes beating his own world record that's more than 20,000 calories by the

way just a little side note world champion Wow America I mean I don't

think he eats that every day but I don't know yeah I was here one year actually

when I was on the roof of the on the top deck of the World Trade Center and it

was something to say right and they don't know when they're feeling today I

get the sense they don't hold on to the hot dogs for too long okay all right

thank you for that image about that meanwhile 12 minutes after the toffee I

remember when President Trump said this to world leaders NATO members must

finally contribute their fair share and meet their financial obligations well

you know what the president is about to double down on those financial

obligations match slap up next on that and a few months back we told you about

a Fallen Marines flag that was stolen from his father well this morning we

have an incredible update

Trump narrowing down SCOTUS candidates - Duration: 0:45.

President Donald Trump is reportedly getting closer to choosing a nominee to replace retiring

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Fox News reported Thursday that Trump has finished interviewing possible contenders

and is expected to announce his final decision to the public on Monday.

Kennedy announced his plans last month to step down from the bench.

At the time, Trump told reporters he planned to use the same list of names from which he

chose Neil Gorsuch, who was nominated to replace the late Antonin Scalia in 2017.

As of Thursday, an unnamed source with knowledge of the selection process told NBC News that

the pool of possible contenders had been narrowed down to three.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already said the Senate will vote on Trump's

nominee in the fall.

Donald Trump Shook Up Washington With One Major Announcement - Duration: 12:46.

Donald Trump Shook Up Washington With One Major Announcement

Donald Trump was sent to Washington to shake up the status quo.

Trump supporters want to see the swamp drained.

That finally happened when Trump rocked Washington with one huge announcement.

Trump has been dissatisfied with his National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster.

McMaster – a three star General – was one of Trump's globalist advisors.

He advocated for remaining on Obama's Iran nuclear deal and Paris Global Warming Accords.

McMaster also boxed the President in on sending more troops to Afghanistan.

So Trump fired McMaster on Thursday and replaced him with John Bolton.

Bolton has served in three previous Republican administrations as Assistant Attorney General,

Under Secretary of State, and U.N. Ambassador.

He is well known for his conservative views and has spent the last two years defending

Trump's America First agenda on trade.

He also shares the President's suspicions on globalist institutions like the United

Nations.

Politico reports:

"BOLTON IS A CONTROVERSIAL FIGURE ON THE INTERNATIONAL STAGE.

HE CHEERED ON THE 2003 INVASION OF IRAQ, CALLED FOR BOMBING IRAN TO STOP ITS NUCLEAR PROGRAM,

DISMISSED THE IDEA OF A TWO-STATE SOLUTION IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND DERIDED THE UNITED

NATIONS, WHERE HE ONCE SERVED AS U.S. AMBASSADOR IN THE GEORGE W. BUSH ADMINISTRATION.

LIKE TRUMP, HE HAS AN INTENSE WARINESS OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND HAS ALSO

QUESTIONED THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY'S CONCLUSION THAT RUSSIA INTERFERED IN THE 2016

U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION."

The foreign policy establishment will be horrified by Bolton's appointment.

That's because Bolton rejects the liberal world order that has benefited the global

elites at the expense of American sovereignty.

While some Trump supporters are wary of Bolton's past hawkishness, he told the President he

has no intentions of trying to talk him into starting any foreign wars.

What do you think of President Trump's decision to hire John Bolton?
