Mayor of city in England 'bans' Trump

The mayor of Sheffield, England, announced that he was "banning" President Trump from his city ahead of Trump's visit to the United Kingdom.

Sheffield's Lord Mayor Magid Magid put on a sombrero while making the announcement at a city council meeting,  BBC reported Wednesday.

The Green Party councillor on Twitter called Trump a "wasteman" -- a British  slang word for someone with no merit.

Magid even wore a matching T-shirt with the phrase.

He also declared July 13 to be "Mexico Solidarity Day," the same day when Trump is scheduled to arrive in the United Kingdom for his working visit with Prime Minister Theresa May and Queen Elizabeth II.

BBC noted that Magid does not actually have the power to ban anyone from the city without approval from the council.

Magid listed five reasons why Trump is a "wasteman," including pulling the U.S.

out of the Paris Climate Agreement, his travel ban targeting majority-Muslim countries and his defense of white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville, Va., last year.

Magid was born in an Ethiopian refugee camp and immigrated to Sheffield when he was 5 years old, BBC reported.

At 28 years old, Magid is the youngest mayor to be elected in the city.

The mayor also criticized Trump's zero tolerance immigration policy that has caused the "imprisonment of children at borders.

He also called on his supporters to stage protests against Trump and to donate to organizations combating his policies.

Thousands of people are expected to protest Trump's visit to the U.

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges - Duration: 4:44.

Trump Moves to End Racial Discrimination by Colleges.

President Donald Trump's administration has withdrawn legal policies developed, by

former President Barack Obama which encouraged the use of racial categories to grant or deny

university slots.

The "affirmative action" racial policies were discarded on Tuesday, just before Independence

Day.

"Such racial policies are outrageously wrong," says Roger Clegg, president and general counsel

of the Center for Equal Opportunity, a nonprofit think tank which studies civil rights, immigration,

and integration.

He continued:

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country, that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

The new Trump policies are "good news," Clegg told Breitbart News in an interview

July 3.

"The Obama guidance [on affirmative-action policies] pushed schools to engage in race-based

decision-making, which is unfair as a matter of policy and inconsistent with what the Supreme

Court has said."

The Justice Department should also weigh in on and support the lawsuit Asian Americans

have brought, against Harvard University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill

regarding discrimination in college admissions, he added.

"I hope when it gets to the Supreme Court, we'll have a five-justice majority to put

an end to this practice altogether," he asserts.

"Too many Asian Americans applying to elite schools are discriminated against on account

of their race," said Linda Chavez, who co-founded the CEO think-tank.

"That is the message of our new study, and it is past time that schools quit the morally

dubious means of using race or ethnicity as 'a factor' in selecting their student

bodies."

In May, Clegg's CEO highlighted the issue of elite schools discriminating against Asian-Americans.

According to a CEO study, "at Harvard University, which also uses race in admissions, Asian

Americans as a percentage of all undergraduates sharply increased to 21 percent and then significantly

dropped," remaining at about 17 percent since then.

In New York City, Asian-Americans have condemned a proposal by Mayor Bill de Blasio, to end

admission testing to the city's top high schools to increase black and Hispanic enrollment.

Currently, Asian American students predominate at the city's elite schools, a situation

de Blasio hopes to change by allowing some 45 percent of students in the elite schools

be black or Latino.

De Blasio defended his plan, writing at Chalkbeat, "Anyone who tells you this is somehow going

to lower the standard, at these schools is buying into a false and damaging narrative.

It's a narrative that traps students in a grossly unfair environment, asks them to

live with the consequences, and actually blames them for it."

Clegg, however, says when skin color and national origin are factors in deciding where a student

can attend school – a policy based on discrimination is, in fact, in effect.

To people such as de Blasio and other progressives embracing race-based policies, Clegg says:

Such policies are outrageously wrong.

What the Trump administration is doing is the opposite of racist.

Trump is frequently accused of being divisive, but the only civil rights policy that can

make sense in a country that is as increasingly multi-ethnic and multi-racial as the United

States, is one in which we aren't treating people differently, according to skin color

and what country their ancestors came from.

Whether or not you're a fan of President Trump in other areas, I think all of us should

welcome this initiative.

Clegg says the Asian American lawsuit against Harvard and the anger over de Blasio's plan

in New York City show, it is not just white people who are discriminated against via politically

correct preferences:

We have a confluence of events here that makes this an important moment in the way the country

is going to move forward, on this issue of racial and ethnic preferences in education.

I think many non-conservatives who may have sympathy for the use of affirmative action

are growing increasingly uncomfortable, with the fact that Asian Americans are being discriminated

against in addition to whites.

It's wrong to discriminate against anybody – including whites.

"The only policy that makes sense going forward is one that reflects E Pluribus Unum,"

Clegg says.

Donald Trump Just Got The News He's Been Waiting For - Duration: 12:14.

Donald Trump Just Got The News He's Been Waiting For

2018 has been a good year for Trump overall.

The implementation of last year's historic tax cuts has given him a strong boost in approval.

And Trump just got some fantastic news that he's been waiting months for.

The results of the 2018 midterm elections are going to be directly tied to the people's

opinions of President Trump.

If Republicans do well, it will send a clear message that the people are standing with

President Trump.

But if they don't do well, it will send a loud-and-clear message that President Trump

will have a lot of work to do if he is to be re-elected in 2020.

And thankfully for Trump, some early news just dropped which shows it could forecast

strong Republican support during the upcoming midterms.

Arizona's 8th Congressional District hosted a special election on Tuesday.

The race was against Republican former state Senator Debbie Lesko and Democrat candidate

Hiral Tipirneni.

Democrats targeted in on this race, hoping to get an early win prior to the upcoming

midterms.

But they received nothing but bad news on Tuesday, with Lesko coming in with a sizable

win.

This is great news for President Trump, who sometimes requires positive results to actually

know where people are coming from.

With the media so biased against Trump, it can be extremely difficult to differentiate

actual facts compared against anti-Trump rhetoric disguised as facts.

As reported by The Daily Caller:

"REPUBLICAN FORMER STATE SEN.

DEBBIE LESKO DEFEATED DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE HIRAL TIPIRNENI TUESDAY IN THE SPECIAL ELECTION

TO REPLACE TRENT FRANKS IN ARIZONA'S 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP WON THE DISTRICT BY 21 POINTS DURING THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION,

AND LESKO WAS ABLE TO CARRY IT BY SIX POINTS, ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS.

LESKO WILL REPLACE FORMER GOP REP.

TRENT FRANKS, WHO RESIGNED IN DECEMBER OVER ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT.

FRANKS REPORTEDLY HAD PRESSURED A FEMALE AIDE TO CARRY HIS SURROGATE CHILD AND OFFERED HER

$5 MILLION.

"I'VE REALLY COME A LONG WAY AND THIS IS REALLY QUITE OVERWHELMING, IT'S VERY

SURREAL," LESKO SAID DURING HER VICTORY SPEECH.

"TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO I LEFT AN ABUSIVE HUSBAND AND I SURE AS HECK NEVER WOULD HAVE

DREAMT IN A MILLION YEARS THAT I WOULD BE RUNNING FOR CONGRESS TO BE A CONGRESSWOMAN.

I MEAN, THAT'S RIGHT, NOW I'M ACTUALLY RUNNING FOR CONGRESS, I WON!"

TIPIRNENI SAID SHE STILL PLANS ON RUNNING AGAIN THIS NOVEMBER, THE AP REPORTED.

SHE IS CONFIDENT THE MARGIN WILL CONTINUE TO SHRINK AND EVENTUALLY TIP THE SCALES IN

HER FAVOR.

"WE WEREN'T SURPRISED, WE'RE NOT SURPRISED," TIPIRNENI TOLD THE AP. "AND WE'RE STILL

WAITING TO SEE THE REST OF THE VOTES.

WE'RE NOT CONCEDING.

WE'RE STILL WAITING FOR VOTES TO BE COUNTED — SO THIS ISN'T OVER."

THE AP CALLED THE RACE FOR LESKO AFTER STATE OFFICIALS SHARED THE RESULTS OF 155,000 MAIL-IN

BALLOTS, REPRESENTING ALMOST 75 PERCENT OF THE VOTES CAST.

No President can ever be sure how the midterm elections will go.

The 2010 midterm elections were terrible for then-President Obama.

But Donald Trump's approval rating is currently higher than Obama's was at that point.

Only time will tell how the President will do.

Do you think Republicans will do well in the upcoming midterm elections?

TRUMP DROPS THE HAMMER ON OBAMA – THIS IS IT! - Duration: 13:32.

TRUMP DROPS THE HAMMER ON OBAMA – THIS IS IT!

The more that comes to light about spy gate, the more clear it becomes that Barack Obama

was willing to stop at nothing to try and take Donald Trump down.

Right Wing News reported that The Hill's John Solomon just revealed to Fox News host

Sean Hannity that the Obama administration tried to take over the FBI's investigation

of the Trump campaign.

He explained that Obama's FBI began spying on members of the Trump campaign to gather

the intelligence that ultimately justified the collusion investigation, weeks or even

months before the FBI had a formal predicate.

If this is true, Trump is about to drop his presidential hammer down on Obama and his

minions.

"That's very important.

The rules say you can't use sources until you have a predicated investigation.

The predication is July 31, 2016," Solomon told Hannity.

"I'm putting finishing touches on a column that I think will come out tomorrow.

And it will reveal two really important things," Solomon said.

"The efforts to begin targeting and reaching out to Trump campaign officials to gain intelligence

on Russia that would ultimately justify the investigation began weeks and maybe months

before the FBI had a formal predicate.

And that's very important the rules say you can't use sources until you have a predicated

investigation."

"The investigation is July 31, 2016.

My sources and documents that I will be able to make public tomorrow will show that there

were contacts going on by people identified as informers, informants, people who provided

information began much, much earlier than July 31st.

That's the first part," he continued.

"The second part is as the investigation was just starting to ramp up there are internal

FBI documents showing FBI agents talking about the White House trying to take over the investigation.

Fears that the Justice Department were going to leak for political reasons and their own

personal fear."

It's time for Trump to take action and launch an official investigation into Obama so that

he can finally be punished for his illegal activities.

OVER:POLITICAL SHOWDOWN LOOMING OVER TRUMP S SUPREME COURT PICK - Duration: 10:32.

back to Fox top story now the battle over president Trump's US Supreme Court

nominee progressive groups already launching a multi-million dollar

campaign to warn senators of the consequences of siding with the

president and his choice the head of an abortion rights group telling reporters

quote this will be a 50-state campaign our members are fired up our phones are

ringing off the hook and we are all ready to fight this fight but

conservative groups are also spending big on campaigns telling red state

Democrats senators they'll pay for opposing a Trump nominee let's bring in

the power panel Shelby Holiday Wall Street Journal's

senior video reporter Tiffany Kraus co-founder and managing editor of the

beat DC well Democrats are fired up will it backfire I don't know it will

backfire I mean really Democrats don't have any leverage here I mean that's the

end of the day I think you call to anybody to tell them that well I think

they're gonna try what they can because whatever they're spending I mean it's

not enough I do I think it is you know we champion this America first and you

know how great our country is we don't want to see the Republicans have control

over everything I look you know I'm very left hairiest you know that but I've

always championed a healthy exchange of ideas and ideology and I think when you

have this administration have the Congress yeah they have the Senate the

house and the Supreme Court I don't think that's dangerous so how is that

different than leading up to a presidential election under Barack Obama

how is that different than wanting to choose who the Democrats wanted and they

had at one point both chambers of Congress as well well I mean that's a

great question to ask and I also think to your point about them having no

leverage this massive amount of money that will be spent in all 50 states the

question is how much how much could it possibly do because right now Democrats

don't even have the 50 votes to block President Trump and his pick and what

they'll also have to do is get some Republicans on board that's really

unclear if they could do that as well at this point and I think there's so much

speculation right now but but president Trump's moving quickly he wants to have

his pick announce next week have some hearings in August have it all walked

out before the midterms but the big question here is

will this carry over into the midterms the Democrats want that to be an issue

it might just be a done deal by so we learned earlier this this hour from the

weekly standards guest who was with me senior writer John McCormack said what's

interesting about Susan Collins for Republicans is that well she probably

will vote for the nominee she just wants to know that they wouldn't actively work

against Roe versus Wade but she doesn't believe other members who were

conservative on the court would overturn Roe vs. Wade so it's kind

of a semantics of argument right now well I think it's really important for

people to realize that the Supreme Court is just not just about roe v-- wade I

mean there are a lot of policy issues that impact your life that call and

before this court and to make that the whole you see working up because I

different her hats have not been where you are right now this is this is a

broader thought on the issue I think there are some Democrats who've been

there but the people with the you know loudest bully pulpit get the microphone

and the most attention I think people have to realize this is a broader issue

I mean you're gonna have issues like affirmative action which white women

have benefited overwhelmingly from that could land back before this court the

Voting Rights Acts and I'm sure know you know patriotic Americans want to

disenfranchise people from voting so those are all super important issues and

I do think I'm not sure that it's just to your point I agree that the

Republicans do play a role and I think it's not just Susan Collins but I think

you've got Lisa Murkowski out there as well who could also influence this pick

I'm not sure they will I think you know Republicans do a better job of falling

in line with the party then Democrats do perhaps but I don't know that the fight

is so you know it's interesting when you talk about women benefiting from

affirmative action a lot of people don't talk about that I know you drew it along

the lines of race but it's diversity in general too you might even argue the

LGBT community as well real quickly before we head into break so you've got

a couple of Republicans but you've got Democrats in ten states for president

Trump one better up for re-election and you also have Democrats who voted for

Neil Gorsuch so well some of those are the same areas but one great exactly and

the president's already reaching out to them and I think that's a really

powerful thing when he brings me to the White House talks on Santa Monica right

all right Donna they put it appears that abolishing ice is quickly becoming a

litmus test for Democrats lawmakers on the Left are calling for the elimination

of that customs agency but President Trump says that's only going to hurt

them in the midterm elections stay close hi everyone i'm dana perino we expect to

hear from President Trump during our hour and he says he's gonna focus on

choosing a Supreme Court nominee this week and will see if he gives us any

more clues about his shortlist Plus Democrats divided on Capitol Hill over

whether the party is shifting too far to the left and whether they should

continue calls to abolish ice will debate that and we are broadcasting live

from our new and improved studio studio J so join us top of the hour on the

daily briefing let's get into it on abolishing ice it apparently is becoming

a litmus test for Democrats after the stunning primary win by

Alexandria OKC El Cortez over a 10 term incumbent in New York's 14th

congressional district she and several other Democrats are calling for the end

or a revamp of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency that list

includes senators Kirsten Gillibrand Elizabeth Warren Kamala Harris all

possible 2020 candidates but President Trump is slamming their position saying

it will hurt them at the polls I hope they keep thinking about it because

they're going to get beaten so badly between Maxine Waters and Nancy Pelosi

and getting rid of ice and having open borders and the biggest thing you have

open borders all it's going to do is lead to massive massive crime that's

going to be their platform open borders which equals crime

I think they'll never win another election so I'm actually quite happy

about how our panel vac Shelby Holliday Tiffany cross Y is this catching fire on

the Democratic Party well first I just want to say I think

the president's premise is ridiculous you can certainly have the rule of law

in order in this country that doesn't mean open borders I haven't heard a

single Democrat call for open borders I think it's catching a fire in the

party because there are people have seen the evidence of what happens when you

have an agency run amuck and we've seen that with ice and it's not just

Democrats calling for the abolishment of ice you've had over 20 agents penned a

letter to secretary Nielsen calling for the abolishment and the Congressional

Hispanic Caucus is actually not calling for the abolishment of ice they

circulated a memo what their talking point saying that's not their position

Shelby neither is Bernie's Anders I mean this debate is making

Bernie Sanders look pretty moderate right now because he's not out there

saying get rid of it altogether I think first of all you have to look at some of

the people who are calling to abolish ice probably want to run for president

this might have something to do with a potential campaign but I think the

president is has a point that if you and I also think the president does a good

job baiting Democrats into taking these kind of stances because he moves right

on an issue they move left and you can turn around and say they want open

borders so it's a tricky dance and I think it'll be interesting to see how

Democrats handle that dance heading in almost is in Sydney ariaz abolish ice is

these two words Nancy Pelosi I mean your party seems to be divided along

generational lines I mean there's some real issues within the Democratic Party

right now yeah we're seeing a generational shift in the Democratic

Party and I think this is another issue because you know for some reason I do

think that people like Nancy Pelosi and even Chuck Schumer on some issues will

walk in the middle of the road because they think there's some house on a suede

look representative Maxine Waters called it even stronger than that I agree I

said they're only in it for that listen I agree and I was really disappointed

with the way they handled the Maxine water situation it took them two point

five seconds to shift from the hash tag trust black women to shutting maxine

waters down so I I don't agree with their stand points on that I think they

have to go hard or go home you know there are a lot of people

energized your base don't worry about trying to sway Trump supporters that's

not going to happen we've seen this as red meat for this base this is the very

thing the bay there run on so is there room now for the Republican Party I mean

are we gonna see some defections I'm looking at polling and how people are

potentially walking away from the party we don't know where they're gonna go yet

right but it's going so far left that's the question and also I'm not sure that

I'm not sure that it's wise of Democrats to totally about abandon the middle and

move left because when you look at some of the races that we've seen special

elections Georgia is a great example the Democrats who run a moderate campaign

and who are fiscally conservative but are okay countering Trump on certain

issues they got some of the Republicans who are uncomfortable with Trump that

seems like it would be a good model in the midterms yet we don't see any

candidates doing that everyone moving to the left

Alexandria okay zo Cortez just really quickly she picks up on this issue

what is so fiery about the ball that she's carrying forward is it the

generational is it diversity what is it that Democrats feel like they are

lacking I think it's both again I do think I understand your point about the

middle but I think sometimes Democrats can come across like they think they're

going to magically slay the Trump supporters which they're not I think

when you saw the upset that happened in New York it's everything you said its

diversity she's young she was a candidate you have to respect the hustle

she went door knocking she didn't take her constituency for granted and she

represents the next generation and a lot of people who are on the younger side

don't feel heard by the Democrats and they do feel like the leadership doesn't

represent them and they they would like to see more fire from some of this

leadership on the average so how do you change it because Joe Crowley had been

around for ten terms and Hillary Clinton had that inevitability I mean that seems

to be the point though it's that Democrats kind of go forth with

inevitability perhaps but I think you have to change if I'm making room I do

think it's time for new leadership on Capitol Hill you have to make room for

the next generation and this is not a new fight I mean if you were called

during the Obama election there was a big debate there he said that voters

wanted to move car smell and he wasn't sure if Hillary Clinton had it I'm not

even making that up last word it'll just be a fascinating

midterm debate to watch we were talking about how quickly the news changes and

we wave-wave but I I it's impossible to know the news and the sentiments to

predict the blue wave I do I think people are tired of seeing some of the

same rhetoric we've seen out of this administration we haven't seen it yet so

I don't know all right thank you ladies we'll be right back

Conway: TRUMP ТО ANNOUNCE HIS SUPREME COURT NOMINATION NEXT MONDAY - Duration: 10:21.

and yesterday the president tweeted quote the liberal left also known as the

Democrats want to get rid of ice who do a fantastic job and want open borders

crime would be rampant and uncontrollable make America great again

joining me now to discuss as concentrated frankly Kellyanne Conway

all right good evening Kellyanne I have to tell you something I just wrote it

down again when they say ice isn't doing what it was created to do what do they

think ice was created to do surf off and date well that's an excellent question

that nobody is asking them I think it's time to tamp down the emotion go for

some of the information if you quizzed most of those people including elected

officials as to why ice was created in the first place in response to 9/11 and

what it is supposed to be doing and by the way what it does do at the White

House we're working on that exact document so that people get information

ice provides so many services that are critical to everyone's security in this

country Janine do you know and Kirsten Gillibrand is jumping on the abolished

eyestrain up in New York where she's the United States Senator the ice has

removed 40 criminal aliens in in recent weeks I mean she's she's gone against

the security of her own people when she calls for this nonsense Cynthia Nixon

and after who happens to be running for governor against Andrew Cuomo and

pulling him to the left is saying there are terrorist organization that you've

got it backwards they stop terrorists from coming into the country they also

seized thousands of pounds of narcotics and they get rid of child smugglers and

they detect people who are transnational gang members I mean the president is

putting it this way it's a binary choice you're there for open borders and the

crime that comes with that or you're for a sovereign nation that has physical

borders and and less crime and let me say one more thing you see this argument

now with the Democrats you've got some of the older more senior Democrats

saying well I don't think abolishing Isis is a good idea and you got

Democrats disingenuously talking about immigration reform when President Trump

brought the to the table in the Cabinet Room for one

solid hour in January all they wanted to talk about was the dreamers was daca

they didn't want to talk about immigration reform the president's the

one with a 70 point immigration plan that he boiled down to four points it's

been up for a vote in Congress they're being disingenuous and that when they

say they want to do this well clearly I mean the president was willing to go

with daca and they weren't I mean think about it when Obama was president and he

had the ability in the house in the Senate he didn't do anything and you

know they want to make it an issue or so it seems and never resolve it so they

can they can say that's Republicans are against it but what I don't understand

Kellyanne it's like saying to people we don't want this police force and

immigrants should be able to come in we don't want to know who they are what

their records are if they have a record we just you know don't care anymore do

people not understand the in pain oh actually finances here that's right well

I think the average American does I think Americans do understand the impact

on their financial security on their their everyday security but also you see

this mark pet mark Penn was Hillary Clinton's pollster and chief strategist

he came out with a Harvard Harris Poll where he asked a question about

abolishing ice do you know not abolishing ice keeping ice as it is got

try partisan support majorities of Republicans Democrats and independents

all agreed that abolishing ice is not a good idea so these Democrats who are

just trying to out left each other for 2020 having done absolutely nothing in

2017 or 2018 that I can point to they're already thinking about 2020 folks do

something in 2018 that's meaningful so they're going they're saying abolish ice

but basically they're you know they're instead of advising consent they're

doing obstruct and distract instead of abolish ice they should be thinking

about how to protect our borders and there are a lot of Democrats I think

getting very nervous about where the party is truly going and and and let's

see who's following them leftward off the cliff well I think that you know

when the president said in that that recent interview he said you know what

it's a great issue if they want to go forward with that then you

both know the president has great instincts he really gets it he's an

outsider president he made it everyone said he wouldn't make it I mean he gets

it that Americans the in addition to a cotton the economy they want safety and

security and by saying we want open borders run abolish ice we want

something who said they wanted something kinder and they don't want a deportation

race let's reimagine ice whatever that means

hey Janine guess what they say they're from open borders but none of them has

the guts to go and put the bill they go out to the protest they don't go in the

well the Senate they don't go in the house and introduce rules that say we're

going to reimagine borders we're going to reimagine the fact that Congress made

it a crime to enter the country illegally none of them have the guts to

do that where's the piece of legislation it's cheap and easy to go wave a sign

and go scream into a megaphone it's harder work to come back here to

Washington and actually do your jobs and you know what this president he's on

task every single day and he ran successfully on issues like illegal

immigration like having borders and security and he always talks about the

drugs that are pouring in also he's on top of that as well well she's about

people president huge issue you know President Obama this past weekend that's

why your President Obama this past weekend told the Democrats you got to do

more than mope they've gone from hope to mope and they're wondering where he is

why he's not a stronger voice why isn't he speaking up and speaking out on the

number of these issues other than $400,000 speeches so they're just

arrested we're not paying attention to that we're just going to get borders

sovereign nation with borders all right I want to ask you about Supreme Court

nominees I'm curious to women in the group the group is a very small group

maybe five maybe seven what do you think well don't forget the list is 25 and

that's really the key here this president has been transferred the

president down to five year maybe two we've got Amy Barrett and Joan Larson

what do you think of them well I'm not going to come in individual choice I can

tell you that everyone that the president is considered checks all the

boxes for brillian and capable a judicial temperament not

putting their own personal feelings where the Constitution belongs the law

the judiciary interprets the laws it does not make the laws we got too many

judges today making things up as they go along the executive executes them the

legislative branch should be making them but it's a it's the interpretive

function of the judiciary that's so important here this president said he

wants academic and professional credentials and I think anyone you see

on the list are people of great intellect and great experience honorable

men and women on the president's list and look the president put out his list

and then he added to the list Janine this man is so transparent and

accountable in such an important decision I want to tell you somebody who

spent some time with him today as well on this issue I just have to tell you he

understands the gravity as he has said nominating to the Supreme Court is one

of the most important things that any president does every prayer every all

the nominees all the justice on the Supreme Court out out last anyone's

presidency of eight years but in many ways some of these jurists out outlast

the presidents who actually nominated they understand he understands that

you're talking about 30 40 45 years of jurisprudence and he takes the decision

very with with great gravity and responsibility now other people are

advising but it is his decision to make and he's been very respectful some night

state senators on the right in the left you know who are advising and consenting

as well well I have a feeling that the president will probably as with Gorsuch

get the person on the Supreme Court that he wants anyway Kellyanne Conroy so good

Maxine Waters Took Her Awful Plan To Terrorize Trump Officials To The Next Level - Duration: 11:40.

Maxine Waters Took Her Awful Plan To Terrorize Trump Officials To The Next Level

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters shocked Americans when she called for liberal mobs

to terrorize Trump cabinet officials if they saw them in public.

Even Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer called for her to back down.

But instead, Waters took her campaign to an awful new level.

Instead of calling off the dogs, Waters is doubling and tripling down on her comments.

A former aide told The Hill that Waters believes the Democrats have been playing "nice guy"

politics and that it's time to step up their opposition to Donald Trump.

The Hill reports:

"She's definitely pushing people into a place of discomfort," said the former

aide, adding that Waters is "slowly but surely getting the Democrats to play the game

the way Trump plays it."

The former staffer said that Trump's 2016 mimicking of Serge Kovaleski, a New York Times

reporter who has a physical disability, "ignited her fire."

"That was the moment that really spurred her to speak out against him," the former

staffer said.

"It was a moment that I think snapped her into accepting this is now our reality and

accepting her role as an emerging soldier against this administration."

Democrats are heeding Waters advice.

A gang of unhinged liberals stalked Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and her husband Senate

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell at an event they attended.

The wild-eyed mob confronted Chao as she was getting into a car, but Chao refused to be

bullied and got right back in her tormentor's faces.

Liberal mobs then confronted Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt

at a restaurant where a woman confronted him and angrily demanded he resign.

The unhinged liberal ranted at Pruitt, "Hi, uhm, I just wanted to urge you to resign because

of what you're doing to the environment."

"This is my son.

He loves animals.

He loves clean air.

He loves clean water."

"We deserve somebody at the EPA who actually does protect our environment, someone who

believes in climate change and takes it seriously for the benefit of all of us, including our

children.

So, I encourage you to resign before your scandals push you out," she concluded.

The woman wrote about the encounter on social media, saying:

"EPA head Scott Pruitt was 3 tables away as I ate lunch with my child.

I had to say something.

This man is directly and significantly harming my child's — and every child's — health

and future with decisions to roll back environmental regulations for the benefit of big corporations,

while he uses taxpayer money to fund a lavish lifestyle.

He's corrupt, he's a liar, he's a climate change denier, and as a public servant, he

should not be able to go out in public without hearing from the citizens he's hurting."

While Waters remarks are inspiring liberals to harass Trump officials in public, the President

is making Waters the new face of the Democrat Party, and it is making many Democrat strategists

nervous that their party will be defined by unhinged mobs engaging in un-American bullying

tactics and will cost them the midterm elections.

F&F: TRUMP TO PUSH 'AMERICA FIRST' AT NATO SUMMIT - Duration: 15:15.

- president Trump prepares for the 2018 NATO summit next week remember this when

he said this last year he put the world leaders on notice they got to get their

act together NATO members must finally contribute their fair share and meet

their financial obligations over the last eight years the United States spent

more on defense than all other NATO countries combined well this year's

message no different as Trump declares again that the US will not be the

world's piggy bank so what other America first messages

does the president need to send or does he have to talk about unification as

successful NATO's been for the last 60 70 years the American he's co-chairman

of the american conservative union match slapped to weigh in matt interesting the

president really has pushed nato to step up and modernize and believe it or not

they have but he's also really focused on who's press spending 2% of the GDP on

defense where does he draw the line between I like the improvement but

you're not there yet look this has been an unmitigated success for president

Trump he has made a huge difference within the NATO alliance we have big

progress on spending but I think Brian he could be a victim of the fact that

there's so much progress still to be made but there's been a tremendous

amount of change in progress that has been made simply because he stood up and

broke this consensus this consensus that yeah will all work together as an

alliance but America the American taxpayer will pick up all the bills yeah

there is a huge development there in that since the president took over they

have developed a substantial NATO Force to deploy within 30 days the Allies have

all spent more on their defense they also focus on cyber threats as one unit

and we know what they've done in the past in Iraq and Afghanistan as the

threats have spread out and they've also reaffirmed their commitment because of

the spread and the aggression of Russia but Matt in the end knowing that the

president's going to see Russia is important to spend two-thirds of the

time talking about the success in NATO

one-third about where they need to go so you go into Russia knowing that the

Western free world is behind you as you sit down with Vladimir Putin is that

important to you yeah I think absolutely and I think it would be better this time

with this NATO meeting that they send a message that they support Donald Trump

in his desire to work with but be tough with Putin what did not happen with the

g7 Bryan is that our allies seem to almost want to hobble and hurt President

Trump as he was ready to jump a plane and go have this historic summit in

North Korea I want these allies to help America when America is taking bold

steps to bring peace to the globe and too many times it looks like they're out

to get us and we're paying all the bills July 6th with tariffs start going into

play and China and other nations how important is it to be talking along the

way what do you think the results gonna be well I think the same thing is true

here which is it's very important for President Trump to stand up and break

the consensus all the smart people said this is the way you have to conduct a

trade policy and what and the same thing he's doing with making sure there's

burden-sharing and proper payments with NATO allies

when it comes to trade America shouldn't be a sucker anymore

we shouldn't have to take it in the shorts because they love tariffs and

we've been soft on tariffs he simply wants reciprocity and the American

worker pays the bill when I don't get better deals and so I think that this

economic policy gotcha is very akin to foreign policy yeah well every cornel

doing some really good work with Germany trying to come up with some days on the

scenes great clap thanks so much thanks Brian all right

meanwhile the media attacking one of the presidents Supreme Court contenders

because of her faith Amy Barnett is a went to Notre Dame she is very Catholic

he does pick a women she woman should be noted as the aunt Lydia of the Supreme

Court how dare she be very Catholic is the left using the Supreme Court to play

identity politics well debate it next and slowly zoom out on her picture

org huh here are some quick headlines for you starting with a Fox News Alert

Russian forces have killed the son of Isis leader Abu Bakar al-baghdadi Iraqi

intelligence says that he was killed during a missile attack while hiding in

a Syrian cave and to another alert a couple fighting for their lives this

morning after being exposed to a deadly nerve agent British authorities say it

might be linked to that attack on the ex Russian spy and his daughter back in

March with that same chemical locals say the victims are Charlie Raleigh and Dawn

Sturgis and police say it's unlikely that they were targeted Steve down to

you alright Ainsley thank you some of the

media already going after one of the president's potential Supreme Court

picks targeting judge Amy Barrett apparently for her faith

Amy Barnett is a went to Notre Dame she is very Catholic it's kind of a dubious

position but I'm sure that whoever you know if he does pick a women she'll be a

woman she'll be known as the aunt Lydia of the Supreme Court reported ties that

she has an interesting religious group that for example labels heads of

household the men the heads the women the handmaidens so are they using the

Supreme Court to play identity politics here to debate we've got Fox News

contributor David Webb and run for America co-founder David bursting

morning good to see you today it's gonna be the dueling David so isn't it too

early to be picking on any one person until we find out who the person is on

Monday David well look I mean I think this is an incredibly important

appointment as we know and this is someone who is in her 40s could be there

for 40 years and so I think it is important that people understand every

aspect of her including her faith well then what is it about her faith you

don't like well look I think it is important there are some things out

there about the group that she's part of that you know but it's not a well-known

group this group people people of praise right and so I think it's important for

people to understand so you should be able to answer these questions I don't

think anyone should be unfairly attacked for their beliefs whether they're

Catholic or whether there's any other religion I mean being a devout Catholic

should not disqualify her of course not we have plenty of devout Catholic Joe

Biden Tim Kaine you know that on the Democratic side you know people said

this about Kennedy years ago they were afraid he was going to have a direct

line to the Pope and people use that too spread fear about Kennedy we've been

doing this for some time David well I mean let's look at this it's nice to say

they shouldn't but here's the reality they will I remember Judge Bork for

example what was done to him I remember Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill who's

going to be the Anita Hill for whatever justice is nominated by the president

you hear it there in this in the SOT we played before we started the segment

this is what they're going to do they're gonna attack her Catholic faith they're

gonna attack anything about her and if it's a man they're gonna attack

something about him the left has lost the ability in too many ways to have any

form any sense of let's examine somebody's background I like somebody

with the judicial record for better or worse so we can look at their record

because you can at least see what they've written in their opinions they

don't care about that that would be a fair examination to say how they ruled

how they've written on a certain interpretation of law but that's all

what we've heard so far they're putting together opposition research based on ad

hominem attacks and that is actually one of the reasons many Americans have

turned around and said to the America the Democrats to the leftist movement

within Democrat Party we no longer want you in charge and David it is true the

Oppo research is floating around there and usually you don't hear about it

until after the nomination is actually announced but I think the plan on the on

the political left is let's blow them up now as best we can so that the president

will go I got to pick somebody else well I think that I think this president will

actually be emboldened by the by the criticism of this of this candidate so I

wouldn't necessarily think that that if that's the plan it'll work but I do

think the look the left has a serious issue with the base here who does not

want to see them take this take this fight sitting down and they have to be

extremely cognizant of that as they as they go into this fight they can't just

they can't be seen as you know even at this stage this early letting these

people go through and David you you know as well politically the president needs

some Democrats to come over and he got three with a judge Gorsuch there are six

Democrat senators who live in states that Trump won

president with significant amounts and then it's gonna apply so much pressure

to them because he wants it's all sewed up before the midterms which would make

them very vulnerable no I agree with David on this respect the real pressures

within the Democrat Party if you look at Alexandria Cortes versus Chuck Schumer

and Nancy Pelosi the party's imploding because she's begun to raise money for

other progressive candidates so that's driving their party in their narrative

so those Democrats in those ten vulnerable states what are they going to

do they're going to have to go along with who controls the money and that's

in Pelosi's hands in the end the president's gonna get his pick the left

has to decide right how much they want to lose in this fight going forward all

right well we'll know the name officially on Monday

David David thank you very much that was so easy I didn't have to forget

anybody's name all right coming up on this Thursday a 92 year old woman

accused of killing her own son the reason you'll never believe it's a it's

an insane story it's coming up next and remember when senator Jon Tester

faced off against President Trump over his VA pick a couple of months ago well

get ready for round two today the president's going to test his backyard

and happy birthday to et Falco she is 55 years old today

I'm going to teach you to always thank the men and women in uniform who keep us

safe and secure and free we owe them a great debt of gratitude for their

sacrifice that affords you my son the chance to be anything you want to be

maybe even a soldier than they it takes you to always celebrate this day as our

nation's founders wanted us to together as a great American family United in

love of our country Billy Boy you were blessed to be born in the greatest

country in the world and that makes me the luckiest father in the world listen

to how his voice is shaking that's John Stamos talking about his three-month-old

son Billy John Stamos was the host of Capitol forth on the one of the Capitol

building for the second year that was a big show on PBS that you saw last night

and he was so emotional talking about why this is the greatest nation on earth

they had a lot of great entertainers as well and he was talking about the

message he was giving to his son who was in attendance the same message he

learned from his father and from his grandfather about how this is the

greatest patience boys act a little bit a few times it's really fighting back

the tears got emotional his son was born as he said three months ago yeah give

great speech music certainly worked I also like to add - he's not aging and it

kind of bothers me he actually is getting done ok it was always a handsome

man and that was even more handsome as he is today now it now at that bears his

son and as he married is that his wife it's his wife yeah why so we were in a

restaurant I remember in the West Village long time ago and I was there

with some friends and my friend Amy he you know he was famous for the line

mercy right he would say no full house and he saw her and he said mercy Wow

we were walking in and he was walking out so that does he have a follow

applying to mercy very pretty see whose it mm-hmm

no his follow up line is I'm John Stamos that's it that'll work right meanwhile

let's talk about what the president's going to be doing today he's going to

Montana not because it's a beautiful place and it is it's because there's a

vulnerable seat for Democrats and it's John tester the president's not a fan of

his especially where after he went after Ronnie Jackson who was going to be the

next VA secretary on his alleged drinking and pill-popping

according to senator test who didn't find who was going after

camera after camera to make sure he didn't get that position not to mention

he's a Democrat president you know obviously Republican and he wants Matt

Rosendale to get that position or get that post and Congressman Greg Jian 40

is also out there in Montana and he wants him to get reelected so what can

the people of Montana expect tonight well here's the president a couple of

months ago taking a shot at John tester senator Jon Tester of a really great

place Montana who voted by the way in favor of sanctuary cities whose weak on

the border didn't vote for tax cuts what they said about this great American

doctor Ronnie Jackson an admiral in the Navy and tester started throwing out

things that he's heard well I know things about tester that I could say too

and if I said him he'd never be elected again

so I think that's going to be a pretty good preview of what the president's

going to be doing between now and the midterm elections he's going to go out

to all these states where there are vulnerable Democrats and he's gonna

rally the base and he's gonna give those candidates about a half a dozen sound

bites that they can run non-stop in TV ads and on social media until well this

would be testers third term and he is a Democrat the president won by 20 points

in that state in 2016 so that tells you a lot about the state but you were

saying I was saying that if Ryan Zeki didn't become Secretary of the Interior

he would have been going for this seat and he probably would have been favored

to take it would tester has as his advantage he's a farmer and he relates

to a lot of people in the agricultural rural communities but what they have now

Rosa Dell he's got to go sell tests his voting record interesting the Supreme

Court justice will probably be up in this fall

well test her go ahead and his last big vote will he remind the people of

Montana that he sided with the president or remind the people of Montana that he

never sides with the president where he goes on this it's a lot of pressure to

do that the president's gonna be meeting with people in the agricultural

community out there to try to convince them even though tester is a farmer and

he's also gonna meet with small business owners

anyway I think John testers ears are gonna be ringing tonight right just

she's not gonna be in the state there you go my family we tried to go Tomatoes

every year and we didn't get him so November was probably like two or three

maybe yeah that's all you go for and then we just rip them off and put them

in the Sun and hope they ripen that was like those Tomatoes yeah we scored

tomatoes whose cut what does that have to do he's a farmer he's no but I mean

if you were the Agri coach you can grow anything and that really it depends on

the climate no reason yeah anyway hey Julian

time for some news all right I have no response to that so let's just move on

good morning and now let's start with this story because

The clips, which features old footage of Trump slamming Baron Cohen, doesn't reveal much

"This third-rate character named Sacha Baron Cohen, I only wish he that would've been punched in the face so many times right now, he'd be in a hospital," Trump says in the clip

In Your Face Pelosi! Trump's Tax Cuts Are Showing HISTORIC Gains! - Duration: 4:46.

In Your Face Pelosi! Trump's Tax Cuts Are Showing HISTORIC Gains!

The "crumbs" that Nancy Pelosi complained about regarding President Trump's tax cuts,

are Making America GREAT Again in a big way.

In just six months since Trump's historic tax cuts took effect, women, minorities, and

small businesses are WINNING and THRIVING!

From Washington Examiner

When Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in December, congressional Democrats denounced

the legislation as a reckless attempt to help wealthy corporations at the expense of everyone

else.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., famously dismissed the law's benefits to

most taxpayers as "crumbs."

Six months later, many of the groups Pelosi and other Democrats warned would be worse

off as a result of the tax reform legislation — including minorities, women, and small

businesses — are not only thriving, they are experiencing some of the most notable

economic growth in the country's history.

In January, the black unemployment rate was 7.7 percent, but by May, it had dropped to

5.9 percent, the lowest unemployment rate recorded for African-Americans since the Bureau

of Labor Statistics began to report such figures in 1972.

This rate is made even more impressive considering that prior to President Trump's time in

office, African-Americans had never experienced an unemployment rate below seven percent.

Hispanic and Asian unemployment rates are also at historic lows.

Hispanic unemployment in 2018 is on pace to be the lowest annual average ever, and the

unemployment rate for Asians has dropped by nearly a full percentage point, from 3 to

2.1 percent, since January.

That rate is now sitting at its lowest point in BLS records, which date back to 2003.

Women are also enjoying groundbreaking economic gains.

May's 3.3 percent unemployment rate for women is lower than any rate recorded since

2000 and is on pace to be the lowest annual rate since 1953.

Tax reform has improved other aspects of the economy as well.

BLS reports wage growth for the first quarter of 2018 was greater than at any time since

the recession of 2008, and numerous welfare programs are experiencing dramatic enrollment

decreases.

For example, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports total Medicaid and

Children's Health Insurance Program enrollment dropped by 728,000 from December 2017 to March

2018, the most recent month for which data are available.

By contrast, in the four-month period prior to the tax cuts (September 2017 through December

2017), enrollment increased by 163,000.

Similarly, enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly referred

to as food stamps, decreased by more than 1.1 million from December 2017 to the end

of March 2018.

Pelosi and other opponents of the tax reform legislation continue to insist the cuts primarily

benefit corporations, whose tax rate under the bill fell from 35 percent to 21 percent.

Cutting the corporate tax rate was necessary to make America more competitive with the

rest of the industrialized world, which has for many years offered much lower corporate

tax rates.

But corporations weren't the only businesses to benefit from the law.

Various changes affecting small business owners — including the creation of a 20 percent

deduction for qualified business income for pass-through businesses — have helped spur

confidence among small businesses, who employ about half of all private sector workers.

The National Federation of Independent Business reports that its Small Business Optimism Index

in May reached the "second highest level in the NFIB survey's 45-year history."

And NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan said optimism among small businesses "is

on a stratospheric trajectory thanks to recent tax cuts and regulatory changes."

As difficult as it may be for Pelosi and other advocates of higher taxes and more government

control to admit, the successes of the Republican tax reform legislation clearly illustrate

that when people are empowered to keep more of their own money, everyone in society benefits.

what do you think about this?

TRUMP TO ANNOUNCE SUPREME COURT PICK JULY 9TH - Duration: 13:19.

breaking right now Fox News is learning President Trump is close to selecting a

new Supreme Court pick good morning everyone I'm Sandra Smith live inside

America's newsroom on this July 5th July 5th idea and I stay off yesterday I'm

Leland Vinod in for Bill Hemmer a source telling Fox News that the president has

wrapped up the interview process and days from now he is set to announce his

nomination to the highest court in the land the highest correspondent in the

land chief White House correspondent John Roberts live from the North Lawn

John were only a couple of days away from this things obviously can change

where is the diss president in his decision process now Leland and Sandra

good morning to you I told that there could still be some more short

conversations that occur over the next few days as the president makes his

final decision but the day has wrapped up the formal interview process

interviewing six judges Monday and Tuesday of this week he spoke with one

of them twice which accounts for the seven conversations that the White House

was talking about earlier in the week it was throwing of throwing us off a little

bit we didn't know if he had seven candidates or seven conversations turns

out he had six candidates and seven conversations I am told that Judge

Raymond Catholic is stock is rising he is an appellate judge from the Sixth

Circuit Court of Appeals appear appointed by President Bush in 2008 he's

51 years old so he could potentially sit on the bench for three decades he's

described as a strict constitutionalist got his law degree by the way at the

University of Michigan so it's not the typical Harvard or Yale pedigree I'm

told by some conservative groups that there is a bit of concern that his

judicial record is a little bit light but that he does appear to be a reliable

conservative judge also still in the running is Brett Kavanaugh from the DC

Circuit Court of Appeals he is said to be most in the mold of neo gore said she

was appointed last year some conservative groups have been engaged in

a whispering campaign to try to torpedo him because of an opinion that he wrote

on an Obamacare case some conservatives believe that he paved the way to save

Obamacare other conservatives though say that

that criticism is wholly unfair and Judge Amy Kony Barrett still in the

running though I'm told her stock is falling a little bit she's drawing a

tremendous amount of fire from Democrats who feared that she would overturn Roe

vs. Wade I'm told that the president would like to appoint a woman and that

nominating her would likely put Democrats like Joe Manchin Joe Joe

Donnelly and Heidi Heitkamp in a box that they would find it very difficult

to vote against a woman so she is still a possibility now a word about Senator

Mike Lee of Utah he is on the president's list of 25 and the President

did speak to him on Monday Lee described that conversation as a

quote interview sources tell Fox News that the president really called Lee to

ask what who he thought he should put on the bench and I'm told by multiple

sources that Lee is not in the running to replace Kennedy strongest horses in

the race at this point Cavanaugh Catholic and Barrett we expect an

announcement on Monday if it follows the Gorsuch model we should hear who the

next we're hopefully going to hear before then but we will be introduced to

the nominee to replace the Justice Anthony Kennedy 8 p.m. or so on Monday

night Leland alright so we have that domestically going on obviously a lot of

coverage of that you have the White House now also looking forward for

secretary pompey's trip he's overseas heading to North Korea what is the White

House saying about objectives and expectations well this really is a very

important meeting Leland and could determine how the conversation goes

forward with North Korea if it goes forward at all secretary Pompeo left

Andrews Air Force Base very early this morning just before 2 a.m.

he'll be meeting with Kim Jong Unidas top deputies there were two days the

meeting comes amid intelligence reports that North Korea is making improvements

in its uranium enrichment facility at Yongbyon and at two other locations last

weekend the National Security Advisor John Bolton said no one in the

administration is quote overburdened by naivete when it comes to North Korea and

the spokeswoman for the State Department Heather now heard saying that when he

gets there secretary Pompeo is going to make it clear what North Korea is

expected to do to live up to its side of the deal listen here

the US government keep in close eye on North Korea and the Secretary has been

very clear and very blunt with the North Koreans about what he expects and I'll

leave it at that he's going to stay overnight Pompeo will for the very first

time in Pyongyang he'll also have a stop in Japan on the way back to brief Shinzo

Abe a on the content of the talks so we'll see the president it's still very

optimistic about all of this Leland but North Korea certainly making moves that

have caused some people to doubt their sincerity even some Republicans doubting

that as well John Roberts North Lawn of the White House John thank you Sanders

thanks a little more for more on all this we go to Steve Hays editor in chief

for the Weekly Standard and a fox news contributor Steve good morning to you

morning Sandra all right so Monday night's gonna be a big night we're

learning as John Roberts just reported 8:00 p.m. Monday July 9th we expect to

have the president name his pick to fill the vacant seat expectations are rising

he apparently has narrowed it down here but judge

Raymond Kessler's you just heard stock is rising Cavanaugh Barrett what are

your expectations well I think people think conservatives think that Catholic

is a terrific intellect and a fantastic writer he's high on the list of a lot of

outside conservative groups people that I've spoken with so I think the three

that that John Roberts mentioned as sort of finalists if we're putting him in

that category would please all manner of conservatives notwithstanding the

criticism of Brett Kavanaugh that you've seen from some conservative groups this

is going to be a big decision for the president he's apparently already

completed these six interviews with six judges that process is over you know

we're all of kind of wondering here we are Thursday the day after the holiday

if the president knows yet who is going to pick just a few days left Steve this

is this is going to have a lasting impact on on this White House and this

president's legacy it will and you know what's mostly interesting about this is

is the president sort of inclination to make judgments and decisions on on a

visceral basis this is a president who trusts his gut he makes gut decisions

and you do wonder after those those rounds of interviews whether the

president doesn't have in his own who he wants to pick that said the

president doesn't sit on those decisions very often when he makes a decision we

usually learn about it shortly after he makes the decision so it could be that

he's still doing some final consultations as we head into the

weekend what does the fight look like as far as Democrats jumping in after his

pick is named Monday night well I think to a certain extent it depends who the

pick is exactly what contours the the fight will take but we know that it will

be a big bloody fight I mean I just think we're looking as we look forward

at what's about to unfold here we're looking at a fight that will be sort of

unmoored from facts I think Democrats and critics of the administration will

use the the records will had however extensive they might be for whoever is

chosen as sort of a jumping-off point to make attacks on the candidate but that

won't be limited the the attacks won't be limited to those actual factual

records you're gonna see spin you're gonna see I think misleading arguments

you've already seen some in the case of Amy Kony Barrett with the n-double-a-cp

and others going after her for something she didn't actually do I think we can

expect that that's just the beginning that we're likely to see a lot more of

the same it feels so fast but yet you know the president already had his list

two years ago so it was really coming down to these interviews which he has

now completed so we will wait that big announcement happening Monday night it

will be a big one indeed meanwhile day after the holiday here July 5th Mike

Pompeo on his way to North Korea what do you think he hopes to accomplish there

well that's a good question he's got two days of meetings which as you pointed

out was longer than he had spent before I hope that we hear more about complete

verifiable irreversible denuclearization something that the administration hasn't

spent a lot of time on since the president tweeted that North Korea was

no longer a nuclear threat I think the president's public statements make this

job that Mike Pompeo has now all the more difficult because the president has

basically taken his victory lap and said we've gotten what we wanted from North

Korea they've made these commitments to us North Korea isn't a nuclear threat

any longer and Mike Pompeo char just to go to Pyongyang to sit down

across the table with North Korean leaders and to say well despite what the

president said we do still see you as a threat your promises aren't good enough

and what we need now is a regime of verification so that we can understand

that the promises that you've made are actually being kept I think it's a very

difficult decision in any case because of the 30 years of history we have with

North Korea but it's especially difficult now given the public rhetoric

coming out of the administration yeah we'll see if he comes back with any sort

of tangible evidence of their efforts to denuclearize Steven Hayes thank you you

bet thanks Andrew all right well we have much more on the Supreme Court pic and

Secretary Mike Pompeo is trip to North Korea with today's headliner Ari

Fleischer will be joining us live at 10:30 thank you for that Fox News Alert

overseas is the race against time continues in Thailand rescue teams

fighting to save a soccer team trapped inside a cave they are draining water

from inside the cave but those efforts may be washed away as another storm is

headed to the cave area one of the other rescue possibilities having these young

soccer players swim out is court challenging obviously the zero

visibility it's a confined space

be terrifying but the children are aware of the caves and are the caves I've been

indicated very often Greg Kot live in London Greg and we talked yesterday

we're still trying to figure out what they were going to do what the rescue

plan was do they have one yet well they're still trying to figure that out

legal in again as you noted it is a race against time it is a race against water

or efforts made to save this young soccer team and their coach stuck in

that cave in northern Thailand the latest forecast from the weather

service in the area is that heavy rain is predicted as early as Saturday there

is more thinking about getting these kids out soon that would mean them

swimming and possibly using scuba gear for portions of the extrication 's and

that is very very tricky but it seems like more and more officials are willing

to take a little bit more of a risk the water is being pumped out of the flooded

cave so far 34 million gallons have been drained the water level in the cave is

going down by about a half an inch an hour but all that could be basically

washed away if those new rains come in again the

other options are drilling a tunnel to reach them or waiting until the rains

and the water subside but either of those options could take months and the

folks look like they don't want to do that Leland yeah so much of the decision

process is based on the health of these young men inside the cave we've seen

that video of them what do we know about their condition so far so good another

day of hearing about them and seeing them and it seems like they are in fact

in good shape they're getting a lot of attention now seven rescue workers Thai

Navy SEALs and others are with them all the time at any given time being swapped

out there's food and medicine and other things that they need they're said to be

chatting joking they want the latest news about the the World Cup soccer

tournament and the feeling is that emergency teams could get more food and

more supplies to them if they think if there is the possibility they could be

in there for the long haul but the real worries the psychological effect as well

they've been down there now for 12 days in the dark also if those waters

start rising then literally their breathing space could be cut off again

all the while the family's up top waiting hoping praying like I guess the

rest of the world back to you Lila yeah 8 p.m. there in Thailand already tonight

Gregg Pal cot in London Greg thanks and Wow it you think about the parents

outside the cave seeing that video of their kids inside and knowing there is

nothing they can do but efforts are ongoing to get them out and and they're

asking about the World Cups so they're in a situation where they can be

discussing that we I wish I wish I had that presence of mine yeah yeah hope for

the best for them we'll keep monitoring that situation there meanwhile two

people being exposed to the same nerve agent that put into X Russian spy and

his daughter in the hospital what police are saying both incidents have in common

President TRUMP PAYS TRIBUTE TO EACH BRANCH OF MILITARY - Duration: 12:13.

going down down pick up my baby turn it around time yeah congratulations

by the way to Joey Chestnut who we just saw right in that duck

eating situation he's 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes a new world record

do you really in your heart of hearts believe someone should be congratulated

for eating hot dogs fast one please

did you have a hot dog yesterday I don't really eat hot dogs exactly so you can't

see the joy in it it was it's the craziest thing

Julius he keeps putting doesn't swallow it just goes right down the esophagus

using peristalsis he's just following the rules apparently it's legal the way

fun to watch and enjoy the next day when we get to see the video and it's what

what we always see the day after independence I have actually do every

year on July 5th we talk about the hot dog Everson wrote about that he worried

about the Coney Island really look really close historian arguing the

parchment that you got to really look close I could get your next book yeah

absolutely so they had a Coney Island back then oh yeah everybody knows the

ferris wheel no wasn't as popular oh gods phony Island

hey there's so much going on today I hope we get it and done with in three

hours so let's get started Secretary of State Mike Pompeo heading

over to North Korea for the third time he's heading there he's drug flying all

night he's trying to hammer out some type of denuclearization timeline North

Korea likes the one where there is none he'd like to have one that's right his

third visit as Brian was saying since he became Secretary of State coming ahead

of his trip to Tokyo to meet with world leaders for the first time since the

historic Singapore summit okay so Mike Pompeo is on the airplane Gretsch incas

is in the bureau and he's gonna tell us a little bit about what we can expect

and Griff really his mission is come back with something that's right guys

good morning happy July of five look this may be his most important trip to

date to be honest with you boarded a flight just few hours ago at Joint Base

Andrews and his destination is a binding denuclearization agreement with Kim

jong-un but new questions are being raised about chairman Kim's commitments

that he made last month Singapore summit to dismantle because US intelligence

reports and satellite imagery showing if the regime has been working to conceal

its nuclear and ballistic missile programs but State Department

spokeswoman Heather Nauert says that the Secretary has been very firm the US

government keep in close eye on North Korea and the Secretary has been

clear and very blunt with the North Koreans about what he expects and I'll

leave it at that but now it has also said that there is no timeline for an

agreement as you mentioned Brian you know some see this as administration may

be softening their approach in Korean experts like Gordon Chang who was on a

little earlier this morning says there is real pressure on pompeia this time I

think this is a make-or-break trip for Trump administration policy you know the

Trump policy is based on the assumption that Kim jong-un has made a strategic

decision to give up his weapons but we've seen evidence over the last week

that shows that North Korea is racing ahead

Pompeyo will spend Friday and Saturday North Korea overnighting for the first

time there then he'll stop in Japan and South Korea on the way home to meet with

leaders to talk about exactly what he hammers out guys we'll see maybe third

time's a charm yeah you got a hope all right Griff thank you very much

so no timetable he's got to come back and show something and they say that the

North Koreans probably or disappointed super hardball right now before the

actual negotiations start well let's hope because the only thing that gets

their attention is let's bring everything back to the way it was

remember when the president wrote that letter and said hey we thought that we

have a shot at doing something but it's not going to happen let me know if

you're gonna get serious then they got serious we had some talks it got

underway the president gave this his cell phone to Kim jong-un he does--he

unfold and that he's in if he continues to not do anything he'll blow up

anything that we've had and we'll go back there's got to be clear to him we'd

go back to strict sanctions again and you go back to the way things used to be

did they want that it was a broad commitment that he gave but not how or

when they're gonna plan to dien ook and that's what Pompeo is there to find out

right if if the president gave kim jong-un his cell phone number I'm

surprised he didn't call him while he was in New York this weekend the New

York Post does a pretty funny photo spread of a Kim jong-un look-alike

because it was suggested that he might come to New York City so it shows him

actually eating a hotdog I don't know about his Paris traces peristalsis power

structure that was Gorbachev and also he's down on the subway and somebody

goes I don't know who that but I hope he's here to fix the train

Steve that that's one thing you did bring up something serious there that's

when Kim jong-un's expected to come to New York City for the UN will they

actually meet in New York City maybe in our studio that was happening right

we're talking about New York City down in Washington the president had the

picnic the Independence Day picnic Milania was there the first lady Mike

Pence the vice president and his wife were there and some of the cabinet

members Melania dressed in a red white and blue and he's there and this is

something they do every year for about 500 military families and what was

interesting and has been observed in all the papers today is the fact that the

president honored each branch of the military by giving somebody in each

branch shout-out he even mentioned the space force nonetheless here's the

president yesterday at the White House Melania and I are honored to celebrate

American independence with the heroes who protect American independence but

our freedom exists only because there are brave Americans willing to give

their lives to defend it and defend our great country to every service member

here today and stationed around the world thank you for keeping America safe

strong proud mighty and free god bless you god bless our military and god bless

america there I go and the president United

States today is gonna be flying out to Montana to stump for the Republican

Senate and congressional candidates we're gonna tell you more about that how

he is going full anti Jon Tester tonight now The Washington Post wrote this big

story about how well traditionally there's a lot of celebrities on the

White House lawn and quoted Jimmy Fallon of saying how thrilling it was to speak

and and host for Barack Obama the president United States does the

Washington Post get it that the president doesn't care if celebrities

show up on the lawn in fact it would put him in an awkward position because for

the most part the Hollywoods against him and it's working because most of America

is not for Hollywood they like their movies not their opinions and for the no

Hollywood celebrities to show up does not bother the president

to makes him look his point of view look more pure through some of the things

that Hollywood was saying some of the protesters were saying it was

Independence Day you have lots of military men and women that were so

grateful for and some of them were out at the Statue of Liberty they wanted to

go and honor this country and thanked the military for their sacrifice lots of

parents were out there with their kids the Statue of Liberty normally close us

down at 6:15 it had to close at three o'clock yesterday as a precaution it was

evacuated because look at this there's a protester a woman that's not happy with

this president and doesn't like his zero pala zero tolerance policy and so she

goes up and stay it sits on the feet of the Statue of Liberty and had to shut it

down they did have to shut it down and 4,500 visitors had to be evacuated their

holiday plans were dashed according to one of the two police officers by the

way those guys are experts remember within the guy scaled Trump Tower one of

those two officers was there that day as well apparently according to the New

York Post today the one of the cops said that she threatened this 44 year old

immigrant threatened to push them off threatened to push their ladder down and

it took him a couple of hours but then she wound up being taken into custody

and she was arrested last year apparently she assaulted a cop well by

the way what point is she trying to make who did she win over not only does the

abolish ice have a very small constituency stopping people from going

to Liberty Island on the 4th of July and then having our 16 NYPD officials have

to stop what they're doing to go there knowing that there were always

vulnerable to a terror attack of July 4th Luke who was just awarded by the FBI

so the the whole movement rise and resist came up and said listen we plan

to banner drop today at the Statue of Liberty this action did not include the

climber on the Statue our action was completed when it was not part of our

action our first priority and concerns for the safety of the climber

right they want to say hey we're different but we support my first

priority is the is the health and safety of the NYPD officer there were 13 of

them that were involved in her rescue and you think well it's just at the feet

of the Statue of Liberty if you look at the view of it

really high up it was 25 feet up no I think 89 feet from the others where she

was and she said to the cops don't worry about me because I've tied myself to

this green bolt thing and they go that's the vent that is gonna pull off if you

fall and you are gonna go all the way down so anyway they eventually were able

to harness her and take her down and she was arrested right somebody who wasn't

arrested yesterday Julianne Moore because I was at work and then I was

asleep right so I was definitely possible to break the law

almost important to you guys morning let's start with a Fox News Alert

rescuers right now in a race against mother nature in Thailand as a monsoon

threatens the rescue of 12 voice crews draining water from the cave where a

boys soccer team has been trapped for nearly two weeks

heavy rain flooded the cave as they first wandered inside only divers can

get in or out right now the other issue most of the boys don't know how to swim

I'll certainly keep you posted Vice President Mike Pence has been meeting

with contenders for the Supreme Court vacancy it's not known which candidates

he's seen president Trump has interviewed seven so far he's set to

announce his decision on Monday Independence Day fireworks lady at the

skies home coast to coast to the Macy's fireworks show in New York City the

largest in the country with more than 3 million people attending the spectacle

how about this another Independence Day tradition the Nathan's hot dog eating

contest I find that so hard to watch Joey Chestnut down 74 hot dogs in 10

minutes beating his own world record that's more than 20,000 calories by the

way just a little side note world champion Wow America I mean I don't

think he eats that every day but I don't know yeah I was here one year actually

when I was on the roof of the on the top deck of the World Trade Center and it

was something to say right and they don't know when they're feeling today I

get the sense they don't hold on to the hot dogs for too long okay all right

thank you for that image about that meanwhile 12 minutes after the toffee I

remember when President Trump said this to world leaders NATO members must

finally contribute their fair share and meet their financial obligations well

you know what the president is about to double down on those financial

obligations match slap up next on that and a few months back we told you about

a Fallen Marines flag that was stolen from his father well this morning we

have an incredible update
