The media thought they had the silver bullet that would finally get Donald Trump impeached.

CNN and other outlets were pushing the idea that a secret $130,000 payment made by Trump

attorney Michael Cohen to porn star Stormy Daniels was a criminal violation of campaign

finance laws.

But Trump shut down this scheme to impeach him in a way that will leave you speechless.

Rudy Giuliani – who is now the President's attorney – appeared on Sean Hannity's

show and shocked everyone when he revealed that Trump reimbursed Cohen the $130,000.

The media pounced.

But they jumped the gun.

Giuliani drove the final nail in the impeachment talk when he declared that Trump made the

payments out of his own money—which were made to spare Melania Trump public embarrassment.

Buzzfeed reports:

"IT'S NOT CAMPAIGN MONEY.

NO CAMPAIGN FINANCE VIOLATION," GIULIANI TOLD HANNITY.

"[THEY] FUNNELED THROUGH A LAW FIRM, AND THEN THE PRESIDENT REPAID IT."

IN A CONVERSATION WITH BUZZFEED NEWS, GIULIANI LATER SAID THAT COHEN, TRUMP'S LONGTIME

PERSONAL LAWYER, "HAD COMPLAINED TO SOME PEOPLE" AFTER THE 2016 ELECTION THAT HE'D

NOT BEEN FULLY PAID BY TRUMP.

AT SOME POINT — GIULIANI SAID HE DID NOT KNOW WHEN OR WHERE SPECIFICALLY — COHEN

MET WITH TRUMP AND TOLD HIM OF HIS COMPLAINT.

GIULIANI SAID THAT TRUMP TOLD COHEN, "WE'LL COVER YOUR EXPENSES," AND AGREED TO PAY

HIM $35,000 A MONTH "OUT OF HIS PERSONAL FUNDS" OVER THE COURSE OF A YEAR-LONG PERIOD

THAT BEGAN IN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS OF 2017 AND HAS SINCE ENDED…

… "MICHAEL SAW AN OPPORTUNITY TO SETTLE IT FOR NOT VERY MUCH MONEY, AND HE TOOK IT,"

GIULIANI SAID.

CALLING IT "A PAYMENT TO REMOVE PERSONAL EMBARRASSMENT TO MELANIA [TRUMP]," GIULIANI

SAID, "I DON'T THINK THEY THOUGHT ABOUT IT AS A CAMPAIGN THING" — ALTHOUGH HE

ACKNOWLEDGED THAT OTHERS MIGHT DISAGREE.

Guiliani revealed that he and Trump spoke prior to the interview and that the President

was pleased with how he shut down the nonsensical talk that the payment to Daniels constituted

a campaign finance violation.

Trump lowers flags for Capital Gazette victims - Duration: 0:52.

President Donald Trump has ordered American flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor

the victims of the Capital Gazette shooting.

Trump issued the order in a presidential proclamation Tuesday, saying: "Americans across the country

are united in calling upon God to be with the victims and to bring aid and comfort to

their families and friends."

Five people were killed at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland, after a shooter opened

fire in the newsroom last week.

In the days after the attack, Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley asked Trump to order American

flags to be lowered in remembrance of the victims.

But Buckley told reporters the White House initially denied his request.

He said Monday: "This was an attack on the press.

It was an attack on freedom of speech.

It's just as important as any other tragedy."

Ever since he became the GOP nominee, the Democrats have floated multiple conspiracy

theories about Donald Trump.

And the media lapped them up and obediently reported on all of them.

But Trey Gowdy destroyed two of the left's biggest lies in just one interview.

Gowdy appeared on Tucker Carlson's show to discuss the House Intelligence Committee's

investigation into Russia.

The left has pounded on their drums that Trump is a puppet of Putin and therefore he and

his campaign must have colluded with Russia.

Gowdy emphatically dismissed their speculation as nonsense.

The Blaze reports:

"So it does seem in light of the foreign policy developments of the past month or so,"

Carlson began, "where the United States has assumed a hostile posture toward Russia,

that most people have kinda decided y'know, how would Trump be doing the bidding of Vladimir

Putin when he and Putin are so at odds.

So why given that, is this going forward?"

"Well, I think some of the folks initially who thought that was the motive behind,"

Gowdy explained, "you have to accept as accurate that Donald Trump colluded and coordinated

with the Russians and that they had a motive to help him.

So all of those assumptions had to be made before you can then say, 'but he's taken

a more belligerent stance towards Russia, therefore that must not be true.'

"I start at ground zero,' he continued.

"What happened in 2016, whether it was Russia or another foreign actor, did they try to

interfere with our election, what was our response in 2016?

Not two months ago, 2016, what did we know, what did we do about it?

The felonious dissemination of classified material to me is always relevant.

Whether it's in the headlines or not, it's always important.

And the issue of unmasking is important."

Democrats – such as House Intelligence ranking member Adam Schiff – have also boasted that

they are certain members of the Trump campaign will be indicted over this investigation.

But Gowdy swatted down those statements as irresponsible.

The Blaze also reports:

"So unless I'm missing something," Carlson said, "the only crime that we're pretty

certain occurred, in the U.S., was the leaking of Michael Flynn's conversations with the

Russian ambassador, is that part of the investigation?"

"I would say the hacking of the DNC would also constitute a criminal act," Gowdy responded.

"So, and the FBI would have jurisdiction over both of those.

But I don't think Congress is well equipped to investigate crime.

In fact, I know we're not.

So, the constitutional injury or things that are of significant public interest, there

is a role for Congress to play.

We're dreadful at investigating crime, and we should not attempt to do so.

Which is why you don't hear me alleging that people committed crimes."

"That doesn't stop some of your colleagues, I notice," Carlson interrupted.

"It doesn't, and that disappoints me," Gowdy replied, "because I think you ought

to wait until all the evidence is in and then ask the jury to draw whatever conclusion you

want.

But we only have one reputation, and it is so easy to accuse someone of a criminal act,

and we do it unfortunately in modern day culture a lot.

It's just unfair to the individual no matter who's doing it."

The left's baseless conspiracy theories about Trump and Russia have received plenty

of play in the media.

CNN has made this evidence-free claim the centerpiece of their network.

But Gowdy struck down two of their most outrageous claims.

going to continue to stick with that list

president schedule is clear this morning which I'm told could be an indication

that he has got plenty of time to meet with a couple of more Supreme Court

considerations yesterday the president met with four potential nominees here at

the White House Fox News is told that those four potentials are Amy Kony

Barrett of the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals judge Brett Kavanaugh of the DC

Circuit Court of Appeals which is often referred to as the farm team for the

Supreme Court judge Raymond Catholic of the Sixth Circuit and a mph the par also

of the Sixth Circuit were all here yesterday in the Oval Office yesterday

speaking with the dutch prime minister the president said he will meet with two

or three more candidates before making his decision certainly he is moving at

full speed to have his nominee in place for that Monday evening announcement

listen here they are outstanding people they are

really incredible people in so many different ways academically in every

other way and I had a very very interesting morning other judges that

we're told are on the shortlist and could be coming to the White House today

Joan Larson also of the Sixth Circuit that would make three Possible's from

the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Thomas Hardiman the Third Circuit

Court of Appeals Hardiman was a candidate last year along with Catholic

to replace Scalia or at least fill the vacancy for Scalia but the president

eventually ended up going with Judge Neal Gorsuch the president is expecting

a big fight regardless of who his nominee is with roe versus wade at the

center of opposition to anybody that the president fixed Democrats certainly

don't want to see a judge on the court that could potentially overturn roe

versus wade even some Republicans arrack like Susan Collins of Maine are saying

that she would like the president to pick somebody who is committed to not

overturning roe versus wade but the president's got the ultimate decision on

all of this Eric clearly that's a big issue John meanwhile in terms of

International Affairs North Korea Secretary of State Mike Pompeo going to

North Korea again third trip this week will they have a timetable for

denuclearization I don't think that the talks are that far along but but what's

interesting about the Pompeo trip he's headed there on the fifth on Thursday at

the same time that US intelligence is getting reports that North Korea has

been making some improvements at a nuclear site White House officials are

very reluctant to talk about that this morning out in the White House driveway

sarah sanders the press secretary wouldn't talk about it would only say

that talks with North Korea are progressing listen here I'm not going to

confirm or deny intelligence reports I'm not going to comment on that but we had

good meetings just a couple days ago with ambassador Kim and as you know

Secretary of State's headed to North Korea we're continuing to make progress

in those conversation and the goal is this

it's always been and that's d nuclearization that's what we're going

to continue pushing for the president Trump remains upbeat about where things

are going tweeting this morning quote many good conversations with North Korea

it is going well in the meantime no rocket launchers or nuclear testing in

eight months all of Asia is thrilled only the opposition party which includes

the fake news is complaining if not for me we would now be at war with North

Korea there's been talk that the president might meet Kim jong-un on the

sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York City in September

I'm told that that is possible though there are no plans at this point for

that to happen that certainly would be something I hear

in New York City and finally on the other side of the world NATO the

president again warning our NATO allies that they've got to spend more yeah and

that the day after he makes the big announcement as to who a Supreme Court

nominee will be on Tuesday morning the president is headed for Brussels and

that annual NATO summit it promises to be just as uncomfortable as the g7

summit in Lima Bay Quebec was with the president sending letters to a lot of

our NATO allies telling them that they need to pony up and pay the 2% of GDP

that they have promised to fund the alliance according to foreign policy

magazine that letter said in part it is increasingly difficult to justify to

American citizens why some countries do not share NATO's collective security I

therefore expect to see a strong recommitment by whatever country to meet

the goals to which we all agreed an official with the National Security

Council here at the White House told Fox News the president is committed to the

alliance as he has stated repeatedly the president has also been clear we expect

our allies to shoulder their fair share of our common defense burden and to do

more in areas that most affect them there is no better way to signal NATO's

resolve than for every ally to allocate the resources necessary to share their

burden of our collective defence and here's what Sarah Sanders had to say

about the whole thing this morning the United States puts over four-and-a-half

percent of the GDP in to NATO and he wants other countries to step up they

have a commitment to meet the two percent threshold and he wants to see

them do at least that in some countries could do that by tomorrow and

asking that they step up and be part of the solution it's a little bit more

burden sharing instead of putting all the pressure on the United States to

carry the way there are 28 member nations in NATO 22 of them 22 of 28 are

not meeting the commitment of 2 percent of GDP to defense they include some very

large countries including France Germany Italy Spain the Netherlands Canada and

Belgium Eric which just happens to be where NATO is headquartered in a

beautiful new two billion dollar building yeah a big new building there

to our top story of the morning and the race to replace Justice Kennedy on the

Supreme Court let's bring in Byron York the chief

political correspondent of the Washington Examiner to weigh in on this

Byron good morning to you good morning senator so yesterday the White House the

president says four potential nominees have been interviewed now on to a fifth

what is this battle shaping up to look like well the president has sent himself

a pretty tight deadline he's got to announce this the thing in less than a

week from today he's scheduled a big primetime announcement from next Monday

so he's got to move fast I think one thing that we must remember here is the

president is choosing again from that list of Supreme Court nominees that he

major in the campaign he refined it a little bit last December 25 names on the

list it's the kind of thing that he could pick anyone and get the support of

most Republicans because it's these these judges have already been examined

their past has been examined the Federalist Society that conservative

legal group has given them their stamp of approval so a lot of the work for a

selection has already been done and some of these some of these nominees or

potential nominees that the president is looking at he looked at last year for

the for the Neo Gorsuch nomination so the president really is not starting

from scratch here I spoke to Judge Andrew Napolitano on the story last

night Byron and he really spoke to the significance of this moment in this

decision listen to this John McCain regrettably won't be voting so it's

be very very tape I wish it weren't look I'm pro-life but I wish it weren't on

just one issue abortion is a very small part of what

the Supreme Court does and if he appoints someone who's in their 40s or

50s that person could serve for a long time and we need to examine their

thinking on a broad array of things the impact of this decision could impact the

president's legacy could impact this country for decades totally right

judgement politie knows right they're looking for somebody who is in their 40s

or 50s at which could mean a very very long career on the court I mean it's

it's pretty interesting that Donald Trump has gotten two nominations in his

first two years in office and you have to remember this was the issue that won

the president a lot of support of a lot of social conservatives the President

had a checkered personal life but they supported him because he said I'm gonna

nominate conservatives to the Supreme Court and also by the way to the federal

courts of appeals which he has done in record numbers so this issue appointing

conservatives that the Supreme Court is one of the reasons Donald Trump got

elected and he knows that and moving on to another big news item for the week is

heading into the holiday we know that Mike Pompeo the Secretary of State will

be making and paying a third visit to North Korea he'll be departing the day

after the holiday July 5th and as you heard John Roberts reporting on the lawn

of the White House a few moments ago the significance here and the interesting

aspect to this meeting and when it's taking place is US intelligence just

revealing that North Korea's making improvements to one of its nuclear sites

what do you expect out of this visit well this is an absolutely critical time

for this North Korea potential deal because it's time to find out whether

the north is actually serious about denuclearization we had a lot of talk we

had the summit last month we need to see if they're actually serious you're right

John mentioned these reports about that North Korea might actually be increasing

its production of fuel for nuclear weapons or something along those lines

we don't know exactly what that means right now but

we do know that it is time for secretary Pompeo and the rest of the US government

to see actual signs that the north is serious about this remember the

president has always said we'll see he said well I hope they'll do this I'll do

this we'll see well it's time for us to see we will see what happens when Mike

Pompeo heads out that way a day after the fourth meanwhile President Trump

warning that we will do something if the World Trade Organization does not start

treating the u.s. properly and all of this as we know is the that the

president has weighed in repeatedly that NATO allies have not lived up their

commitments to pay more toward defense spending what do you expect to see the

president do next on this front biron could the president ever Telegraph

a pitch any more the NATO summit this year's NATO summit is going to be a lot

like last year's NATO summit where President Trump told NATO allies that

they have to spend more the idea being they should spend 2 percent of their GDP

on defense Germany is about 1.2 percent right now

by far the biggest the economy in in Europe and the president has been

pushing this line wherever he goes and he's gonna do it again in sending this

letter - - to the NATO countries is simply just re-emphasizing that in

response some of them have actually started spending more on defense some of

them have kind of promised to do so some of them have hemmed and hawed about it

but they're not gonna get any relief the president is going to keep pushing this

issue all ahead of next week's NATO summit in Brussels buyer in New York

work out it's possible also Axios is reporting some White House officials are

so optimistic about the progress of those talks that there could be a second

meeting with kim jeong-hoon in new york this September during the UN General

Assembly and that the regime would first have to show progress for that meeting

to happen so we're looking for measurable things these are some of the

things that I guess we didn't get with Iran Lisa well yeah and secretary mattis

said I think it was about two weeks ago that he hasn't seen any steps that North

Korea has taken to dismantle their weapons so that is concerning so I think

a lot of Americans including Congress would like to see some sort of plan that

North Korea actually wants to denuclearize and that they're going to

be honest in that way so I think within that plan has to be a means for anywhere

anytime inspections and transparency because that was one of biggest pieces

of criticism regarding their ran deal is that we didn't have any time anywhere

inspections and people work lack of transparency was a massive issue well

and you know you talk about what the president offered kim jeong-hoon and

that was security basically you can stay alive because when things start to

change and you do business with us it could get dicey we're offering you

security I mean he made some great and valid points about where they are

located in the world that what those beaches could be if they weren't firing

Canon's you know the great real estate developer says wow look at that

beachfront property I could see a condo there the fact of the matter is that

there are a lot of images you know coming back and forth satellite images

trying to see what is going on are they expanding are we getting clear Sonya no

no we're not getting any sort of clear sign and and there are articles about

you know are they expanding their ballistic missile capabilities as

they're saying these things satellite image just trying to see what they

contain you see what they're doing and you know I think the US needs a clear

roadmap of what there is and they need a way to verify that it's slowing down at

the same time this is gonna be a slower process than anyone would like and we've

made no way over the past couple decades so having to wait a little bit longer is

reasonable but we need real evidence yeah it's interesting the way you put it

because 25 years of failed diplomacy versus one year of seeing what's going

on with denuclearization but it has to be measurable well I think the big news

over the weekend was that there are are indications from photographs that Kim

jong-un has continued to try to develop his nuclear weapons and we thought that

in the aftermath of what the president described as a good meeting we would see

some good-faith actions by the Kim regime but that hasn't happened so it's

kind of confusing cuz you just hope that we're getting a straight story but the

evidence doesn't back up that this is that we're on a good path you know

what's interesting to Abby I mean we can we can do a lot of guesswork about what

might be going on we can look at those satellite images but at the end of the

day Kim jong-un has somebody to answer to just like everyone else even though

he's a dictator they have a habit of killing each other over there at the top

I wouldn't the pressure is like on him on the ground and there's a reason why

he ultimately came to that negotiating table and they grant may come from that

pressure the president made it clear very early on he set the expectations he

said everyone's gonna want this solved after the first meeting this is going to

take some time I mean we got to learn from history I mean I was reading this

morning back in the 80s the ending of the Cold War and the meetings that

Reagan had would Gorbachev they met a number of times and the media I was

reading something like the New York Times pieces and they were very critical

at that point about the way that Reagan was handling those meetings with with

Gorbachev and I was trying to think about the bigger

picture and what we can learn about today and maybe just having some

patience obviously we need to be very careful and make sure that they are

following through on their promises but they're likely gonna have another visit

when the UN meets in September and and maybe more progress after that but I

think we should all be hopeful that ultimately something good does come from

this real quickly anybody on the couch does a year seem long or not long

it seems short in terms of what it feels like has happened so far I mean you know

for Kim jong-un to totally change the way he outwardly operates and to have

what so many experts have called this PR flurry where he's trying to go out and

make all kinds of signals that he's coming to the table and and that's been

better than before well in the end we obviously have to see evidence at the

same time and you can call President Trump a lot of things he's not a sucker

so I don't think he's somebody that's gonna get you know hosed for lack of a

better word in this whole situation what you expect to happen in that year of

time how much are you promising will get done will they be fully denuclearized

within a year I don't know what they've absolutely agreed I don't know I don't

know what they don't know I think that takes a lot more time than a year and

I'm sure we'll get more information on this and we also have new information on

the planned summit between President Trump and Russia's Vladimir Putin

national security adviser John Bolden is saying that the two leaders will have

the opportunity to discuss Syria and fighting Iran's influence in the region

among other issues when they meet on one-on-one on July 16th take a listen

we'll see what happens when the two of them get together there are

possibilities for doing a larger negotiation on helping to get Iranian

forces out of Syria and back into Iran which would be a significant step

this one is is de-escalating you have thousands of nukes pointed at each other

we don't need to be living in that world anymore so de-escalating that but most

importantly is Iran and getting Iran out of Syria because that continues to be

the greatest threat on the world stage Iran the number one sponsor actual

directly because they're shooting at our guys on a place where that you know

we've been trying to rat out Isis and we've done a beautiful job of doing that

but now we've got a ram via proxy on the ground against us in Syria and that's

not something that I had really heard talked about until I went to Jerusalem

recently right on and that was like part of the triangle that they wanted to

surround all sides of Israel and that was one side weaken that side of it and

then you can have something against Israel and then you've got Hezbollah the

other and then the Gaza Strip Melissa what do you make of do you think there

will be a willingness on behalf of Russia to cooperate and work with the

Trump administration on this I think there might be in exchange for something

else that they want obviously I mean it's all about getting something that

you want I just don't know that I mean I've heard a lot of people outline the

idea that that meeting with Russia could be about getting Iran out of Syria I

know what motivation Iran would have to go along with that I don't know that

Russia has the power to convince them to do that well I think the big news this

week and in fact was that John Bolton the national security adviser state said

it's not a priority for us to get Bashar al Assad out as the leader of Syria

right that's a signal I think to the Russians who are invested in aside have

been his principle defenders along with Iran okay we're all time but boy what a

horrible thing to say you're okay with this dictator who was

slaughtered and poisoning dictators and then basically owning I think I think

what you're what he's saying is the situation is is a disaster and how can

we make the best out of what we are dealing with here right when I don't

think is helpful is when you have the president tweeting though that Vladimir

Putin continues to say there was no collusion in our elections he tweeted

that right after the summit was announced because that counters and that

undermines what our intelligence there was no illusion when she was that

there was no meddling and we know that's a bipartisan agreement that there was

meddling so keep your message consistent in the administration with the State

Department the CIA the president makes sure you're on the same page because you

want to go into the summit with the Russians as strong as your posture but I

want to ask one about your comment regarding de-escalation because a lot of

Democrats want us to believe that President Trump is weak on Putin but

when you look at energy independence you look like beefing up missile defense

when you look at these aggressive sanctions of the Trump administration is

placed on Russia but that doesn't that those don't align so what's your take on

that how Democrats continue to say that he's weak on Russia is somehow Russia's

Putin when the actions simply don't demonstrate that oh well I think if you

go back to the g7 meeting I think he proposed that you include Russia

suddenly make them a player what do you think shines and the beefing up missile

defense and energy independence I think there's been some steps this is a strike

by Russia I thought when you threw out some of the Russian agents who are I

guess right so they've been some but over overall

the question that that lingers in the mind is why does he make excuses for

Putin who is so you know I would say because this goes back to that same

thing and I'm not saying who's right is that the left is focused on words and

the right is focused on outcome and so the left I think gets hung up in his

language and what he says and signal that sends and why it's important to see

this and stand up and say that and that on the right everybody wants to see

what's the end result and and the rhetoric changes too because we saw that

with Kim jong-un where he's rocket men and then they were friendly when it

served his purpose but anyway so we've got to move on

so the rallying cry to abolish ice tiers to be splitting Democrats I'm sure we'll

have more on that just ahead of the midterms ahead why president Trump hopes

the Democrats never stopped calling to do away with the agency and where all

this is going to go stay tuned we should protect families that need our help and

that is not what ice is doing today and that's why I believe you should get

rid of it

there appears to be a growing divide among Democrats over the rallying cry to

abolish ice several prominent Democrat lawmakers find themselves at odds with

their liberal colleagues over whether to get rid of the Immigration and Customs

fences and other barbed wire Democratic senators Kirsten Gillibrand Elizabeth

Warren and Kamala Harris have all publicly jumped on abolish ice bandwagon

President Trump is defending the agency and saying the anti ice movement will

cost the Democrats in the midterms you get rid of ice you're gonna have a

country that you're gonna be afraid to walk out of your house I love that issue

of they're gonna actually do that they're seriously talking about that cuz

they you are gonna have a country that's crime ridden why do you think that's a

winning issue abolish ice is it a good idea for the Democrats yes well that's

the question are you creating an opening for people who would say that you are

working against law enforcement trying to rein in drugs out of law immigration

drugs gangs and the like the contrary thing and I think you saw it from the

range of politicians Democrats up there and there are more Democrats who believe

in reform is the fear that ice is no establish 15 years ago Melissa right

after 9/11 instead of becoming something that keeps terrorists and bad guys and

drug dealers out has become like an enforcement force if you will that goes

in and raids homes raids jobs makes people uncomfortable in their own land

and so there's a large backlash against ice but if the politics of it is with

the president we're hearing though from a number of Democrats we're hearing

abolished ice using to dick durbin who called all of ice in

but it yeah I mean I I'm thinking about the morale of these men and women some

of the very best that this country has to offer that puts they put themselves

on the front line to protect us they deal with immigration they deal with

human trafficking they deal with counterterrorism is that a winning

message because you look at polls on this I've looked at a recent one you got

almost 70% of the country who say we should not apologize right but you don't

hear you were wrong and saying that it's the majority of Democrat Harris came out

with a poll the majority of Democrats don't want to abolish is erect and the

reality is Democrats just don't want to

there are a number of Democrats that are calling for a bus yeah that we showed

them on the screen but I say most are talking and I think they're reluctant to

Abby because they see this as creating a political opening weird it could be the

fans could be flamed by President Trump and make it into ice was doing much of

the same job under former President Obama more people than we see as you

heard from Durbin a question then becomes president Trump's policy how is

he using ice as a user to raise oh he's trying to prosecute people that come

over here illegally and Democrats don't want that to happen because if you were

against President Trump separating parents in the effort to prosecute them

for crossing the border but then you were also against President Trump trying

to keep families together in prosecuting people that come over illegally the

crossing the border then the only other option is catch and release and even DHS

secretary under Obama jeh Johnson you can't separate the parents in trying to

propagate them for breaking the border this is about them together that's how

in the abolished ice and I think the point that one was making is that

there's a small group of Democrats who want to abolish ice and by them going

out and talk about it it makes it seem like all Democrats want to abolish ice

right I think it's true though that most people want to reform ice so because but

here's my key point the president has made

integration and I think he wants this for the midterms for political use into

an issue of crimes and criminals that so many crimes are committed by people who

are so what you have now is ice acting as if all this immigration issue is

about controlling very minimal people who come over here what's your that's

not the issue the issue is about people who are seeking asylum because of

Robert Mueller's witch hunt against Trump has been going on for over a year.

It has so far produced no real evidence connecting the President to collusion with Russia.

And a major Trump ally just revealed a genius strategy to shut down Robert Mueller.

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz knows his way around legal proceedings.

He has long been an ally to President Donald Trump, and has given helpful advice despite

the immense opposition he has faced.

While speaking to Fox News, Dershowitz stated that Trump's best legal maneuver with Mueller

would be to challenge a potential subpoena from special counsel Robert Mueller.

With how partisan Mueller's investigation has been, this is a bold move.

While Mueller is supposed to be investigating supposed Russia collusion, his investigation

has gone into different territories.

In fact, the recently released questions Mueller plans to ask Trump show that he has a major

interest in non-Russian related affairs, looking for answers relating to many of the people

Trump fired, and non-collusion related tweets of the President.

There's no telling what Mueller will try to unearth, and potentially misrepresent just

to spite the President.

While President Trump is working to bring peace to North Korea, build a wall on the

southern border, and lower taxes, the Democrats are dead-set on impeaching him.

Robert Mueller is their tool to do that.

That's why they are overly concerned with passing legislation to protect Mueller, and

let his investigation go on for as long as he likes.

But with Trump's legal team on the case, he could end up forcing the investigation

to a close.

There are 25 people on President Trump's list of potential Supreme Court justices and five on his shortlist

One of them makes an exceeding amount of sense — both for him personally and for this moment in politics

Amy Coney Barrett is thought to be one of the leading contenders and is almost surely one of the two women Trump has now said is on his shortlist ahead of the announcement of the pick on July 9

She's the one female candidate who was on pretty much everybody's shortlist, in fact

And she checks a lot of boxes. Like his previous pick, Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, she's young (46), good on her feet, telegenic, unmistakably conservative and, with seven children, has the kind of family you want sitting behind you during tense confirmation hearings

Unlike Gorsuch, of course, she's a woman — a fact that could help mitigate the onslaught of questions about whether she would help overturn Roe v

Wade. Barrett is also from Indiana, which could apply pressure on its vulnerable Democratic senator, Joe Donnelly, to vote for her

As far as reinventing the court for decades to come, she's everything Trump's base could want

But she also gives something Trump something less tangible: The opportunity to stoke a culture war

Barrett has served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for just eight months, and it took a while to confirm her last year in what wound up being a mostly party-line vote

That may seem like the opposite of what you want — Gorsuch, after all, was confirmed by a unanimous voice vote in 2006 — but looked at another way it makes a lot of sense

Barrett, after all, has been confirmed by almost the same Senate we have today. Donnelly was one of three Democrats who voted for her, along with every Republican

That means her record was thoroughly examined, and there shouldn't be many surprises

And if you're Trump, you might actually consider how that played out as a positive

The main knock on Barrett, after all, was that she was supposedly too religious. As I detailed at the time: At one point, the Senate Judiciary Committee's ranking Democrat, Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif

) told the Catholic nominee that "the dogma lives loudly within you, and that's of concern

" Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) pressed her on her definition of the phrase "orthodox Catholic

" Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) had concerns too. The pushback earned cries of foul from those who argued Feinstein and others were applying a religious test, which the Constitution expressly prohibits

The president of the University of Notre Dame, where Barrett was a professor, sent Feinstein a letter rebuking her line of questioning

"I am one in whose heart 'dogma lives loudly,' as it has for centuries in the lives of many Americans, some of whom have given their lives in service to this nation," the Rev John I

Jenkins wrote. "Indeed, it lived loudly in the hearts of those who founded our nation as one where citizens could practice their faith freely and without apology

" The president of Princeton University also raised concerns. Feinstein later clarified again that she opposed religious tests

Barrett was eventually confirmed, but were Trump to pick her again, it's not difficult to see liberal activists — who are spoiling for this fight — pushing their elected officials to press forward on this line of questioning

Indeed, it would be almost unavoidable, given the line of questioning is really all about Roe, and that's the central issue right now with this vacancy

Democrats will be poking and prodding for any hints about how the nominee would rule on cases involving Roe, and with Barrett that means talking about her past commentary on the intersection of religion and the law

In a series of tweets Monday, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) mentioned Barrett's stance on Roe v

Wade without getting into her religiosity. Barrett has a built-in defense, though: Her other past comments

Back in 2013, she said she believed Roe v. Wade would not be overturned. "I think it is very unlikely at this point that the court is going to overturn Roe, or Roe as curbed by [Planned Parenthood v

] Casey. The fundamental element, that the woman has a right to choose abortion, will probably stand," she said

"The controversy right now is about funding; it's a question of whether abortions will be publicly or privately funded

" She wasn't technically saying she wouldn't overturn Roe herself, but she was suggesting it was settled law — a debate which will be at the heart of all those stare decisis questions we're sure to keep hearing

That at least gives her something to point to suggest she's not some crusader bent on uprooting 36 years of precedent

Trump is going to get a fight over this pick, so he might as well choose the battle he wants

And this is exactly the kind of battle he generally relishes: One that invites his opponents to overreach

PRESIDENT TRUMP FIRES A WARNING SHOT

President Trump on Sunday both praised his base and warned his opponents.

He said that they "better just take it easy."

That threat came in the wake of being asked about people in his administration being publicly

harassed.

He dismissed some of the encounters as being done just for "publicity."

"I hate to say it.

Some of them do it for publicity," he said on "Sunday Morning Futures" on Fox News.

But then he noted: "You know, there's probably never been a base in the history

of politics in this country like my base.

I hope the other side realizes that they better just take it easy."

This tough talk comes after several in his administration and even supporters have experienced

public harassment.

Democratic Representative Maxine Waters has encouraged people to assail Trump staff when

they see them.

This rhetoric has intensified since Trump announced his "zero tolerance" immigration

policy that has resulted in migrant children being separated from their families.

The president signed an executive order that reunites families and children but the details

on how the administration will actually get more 2,000 kids back with their families are

still being worked out.

Trump defended his actions saying that Democrats are hypocritical on issues of tolerance while

Democrats lashed out at the president saying he uses mean nicknames and riles up his supporters

at rallies.

Two weeks ago, protesters from Democratic Socialists of America forced Homeland Security

Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to leave a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., complaining

loudly about the White House's immigration policies.

And protesters harassed Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, a key Trump supporter, outside

a film screening last month.

The movie was "Won't You Be My Neighbor," a documentary about the mild-mannered children's

TV pioneer Fred Rogers.

Last month, the owner of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Va., asked White House press

secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave because she worked for the president.

Sanders tweeted about the incident from her official White House account.

And last week 20 protestors marched around the CityCenterDC apartment building of White

House adviser Stephen Miller.

They handed out "Wanted" fliers.

Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has encouraged the public to keep going after the Trump administration

and supporters.

Some Democrats have denounce her call.

Waters warned would-be assassins on Saturday that if they intend to target her, they "better

shoot straight."

She made this comment while delivering an address at an immigration rally held in Los

Angeles.

Waters told an enthusiastic crowd that despite all the abuse she's seen over the past several

weeks, she will not be deterred in opposing Trump.

"I know that there are those who are talking about censuring me, talking about kicking

me out of Congress, talking about shooting me, talking about hanging me," Waters said

during the rally.

"All I have to say is this, if you shoot me you better shoot straight, there's nothing

like a wounded animal," she added to cheers from the crowd.

He is expected to testify about it in court very soon and reveal all that he knows about

this case.

Campbell has already given the Department of Justice insurmountable evidence of Clinton

and Obama's corruption, involving information about kickbacks and money laundering with

Russian officials.

Now, however, new evidence has surfaced revealing that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been

working with Clinton and Obama to sweep this entire scandal under the rug.

President Donald Trump's White House been plagued by traitors since he took office,

and now, it seems that Sessions was one of them all along.

Freedom Daily reported that during testimony last week, Sessions tried to suggest there

was no connection between Uranium One and the nuclear bribery case.

He argued that the criminal charges weren't filed until 2014, while the Committee of Foreign

Investment in the United States (CFIUS) approval of the Uranium One sale occurred in October

2010.

"The way I understand that matter is that the case in which Mr. Mikerin was convicted

was not connected to the CFIUS problem that occurred two to three years before," Sessions

testified to the House Judiciary Committee.

However, investigative records show FBI counterintelligence recorded the first illicit payments in the

bribery/kickback scheme in November 2009, a year before the CFIUS approval.

Fed-up with the travesty of justice that seems to occur whenever Clinton is involved, Trump

issued a huge warning to Sessions and the entire Justice Department.

He said that unless Sessions finally takes action to prosecute Clinton, he will be forced

to step in and take drastic measures.

"A lot of people are disappointed in the Justice Department, including me," Trump

told reporters.

"This is real collusion and dishonesty," Trump wrote on Twitter after former DNC Chair

Donna Brazile revealed that Clinton's campaign was controlling DNC operations and fundraising

well before winning her primary.

"Major violation of Campaign Finance Laws and Money Laundering – where is our Justice

Department?" Trump wondered.

"People are angry," Trump continued on Twitter.

"At some point, the Justice Department, and the FBI must do what is right and proper.

The American public deserves it!"

"The saddest thing is because I'm the President of the United States, I'm not

supposed to be involved in the Justice Department, I am not supposed to be involved in the FBI,"

Trump lamented.

"I'm not supposed to be doing the kinds of things I would love to be doing and I'm

very frustrated by it."

I can only imagine how annoying this must be for President Trump.

The Justice Department got all it needs to prosecute Hillary Clinton and get to the bottom

of the whole Uranium One case and solve it once

and for all, and yet, it

idly and does nothing.

attack but the plot was foiled after a months-long investigation they say Pitts

had written Facebook posts with disturbing messages including we as

Muslims need to start training like this every day we need to know how to shoot

guns throw grenades hand-to-hand combat what would hit them at their core have a

bomb blow up in the 4th of July parade and this to our military men and women

chop off heads and hands Pitts also talked about traveling to Philadelphia

to plan an attack similar to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing now cities around

the country obviously beefing up security in preparation for the 4th of

July including right here in New York City but as of now NYPD says they know

of no credible threat Steve Ainsley and Pete back to you alright Todd thank you

very much this is the second time in six years that the FBI has

in Ohio has stopped a homegrown attack back in 2012 there are those half a

dozen guys who wanted to blow up a bridge when a bunch of people were on it

and so hats off I know we talk a lot about the FBI and the trouble they had

once upon a time on the seventh floor at eight FBI headquarters in Washington DC

but hats off to the men and women who stopped this plot they got somebody

inside talking to this guy good job we continuously said that that the field

offices are amazing and what they're doing to keep our country safe is just

phenomenal and we thank them so much you have the president who wants to make

sure that he's keeping a close eye on everyone who comes across our border who

comes into this country and that's exactly why because we don't want to

become like Europe where everyone can come in and an Isis grows here in our

country it's very scary this guy is sick he wanted to put explosives in in

remote-control cars so that kids would would turn them on and shrapnel would

cover them and kill them that man is sick on the depths of depravity that go

into thinking you that that's a means to some sort of a glorious end it's a

reminder of the enemy that we face and how dedicated they are to a distorted

view of the world they hate who we are for what we represent the freedom in

this country and and great men and women in law enforcement are gonna allow us to

go to these parades on Independence Day safely he said their holiday is coming

up yeah hates this country yeah no man all right that's why extreme vetting

makes sense as well sure you need to know who's coming and that's something

that the president started talking about a couple of years ago when he was

running for president and then there were the calls for build the wall and

now in this country we're having a real debate about immigration and what paths

are going to take are we going to continue down the zero-tolerance policy

plan that the president has laid out and we've had for a couple of months now or

will we go back to the more relaxed approach to law enforcement at our

southern border like it used to be the president United States clearly feels

that with all these top Democrats calling for the abolition of eyesore

look we got to you know get rid of it and come up with something new he thinks

this is a politically potent topic that could turn some people who are on the

political left who are concerned about their security when it's time to pull

the lever Election Day this year they're gonna

think you know what I'm gonna vote for security

he said they better be careful because that's a losing message this was his

tweet he said many Democrats are deeply concerned about the fact that their

leadership wants to denounce and abandon the great men and women of ice thereby

declaring war on law and order these people will be voting for Republicans in

November and in many cases joining the Republican Party that's right so it's

either the political leopard it's also those independents who don't know which

way to go there maybe don't agree with everything the president says or does

but it's also these Trump Democrats in states who crossed over because they

believed he represented their interests if you look even more at the left and

they say they reveal themselves to me more every day and we see that from

liberals who are who are coming out and talking about how they've become

conservatives in light of what the left has become this is a great example of

that abolish the law enforcement agency that enforces our laws and replace it

with nothing and don't build the wall and keep chain migration and keep the

lottery system and keep catch and release right doesn't sound like much of

a plan to me what the next couple of items we're going to talk about have to

do with the tone in the United States right now in civility there's a story

that this morning the EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt somebody came up to him

started yelling at him it when a child on our health that's right said how dare

you you should resign because of what you've done to the environment as her

husband was filming it then of course famously Sarah Sanders was booted out of

the red hen in Lexington Virginia and now listen to this the these comments

from MSNBC are from the Washington Post conservative columnist conservative

blogger Jennifer Rubin talking about how Sarah Sanders should be harassed forever

Sarah Huckabee has no right to live a life of no fuss no muss after lying to

the press after inciting against the press these people should be made

uncomfortable and I think that's a life sentence frankly she pushed very hard

for Mitt Romney but she's saying that Sarah heavy Sanders should be harassed

for life basically should be a life sentence well Ben Shapiro concerns she's

the conservative blogger peril Washington Post that's

then shapiro reacted last night on laura ingraham show listen she's obviously

engaged in the endorsement of thug tactics and then this is the desperation

to which the left and some people formerly of the right have been driven I

mean Jen Rubin is a person who not only endorsed Mitt Romney and pushed very

hard from his MIT Romney just a few years ago she was suggesting that roe

v-- wade needed to be overturned now she says that any judge who's appointed to

the Supreme Court by President Trump cannot want to overturn roe v wade there

there's a certain derangement obviously that's said in with a lot of people

where they have reversed principles that they supposedly once held specifically

because they don't like Donald Trump which I find not only puzzling but

morally vacuous II the level of insanity to which the left evolves every day is a

testament to how much President Trump is in their heads and in a testament to how

their utopian idealism under President Obama has absolutely collapsed right it

all comes down to Trump and Jennifer Rubin had our own personal swipe at me

recently as well on Twitter by the way I tweeted something about President Trump

and and another person comment and then she wrote the only thing missing is the

red and black banners mm-hmm what are you referring to are you calling me a

Nazi what is you and it so it's amazing so the ends justify the means for them

And he just took it to a new level after ending a major Democrat's career in five minutes.

The latest assault launched by Democrats was on Trump's personal physician, Dr. Ronny

Jackson.

After nominating him as the VA secretary, the left began attacking him with false accusations.

They tried to attack the character of Dr. Jackson, despite the fact that he was extremely

well respected by all prior to Trump's presidency.

Former Presidents Obama and George W. Bush both had great things to say about him.

But that didn't matter, as soon as he was nominated for a position in Trump's cabinet,

they all turned on him.

Leading the charge with the false accusations was U.S. Senator Jon Tester of Montana.

And Trump isn't going to let him get away with it.

While speaking on Thursday's edition of Fox & Friends, President Trump went after

Tester, telling him that the people of Montana respect and admire him, and aren't going

to like what he said about Jackson.

Bringing up the voters of Montana is something that should put fear into the heart of Sen.

Tester.

Trump is extremely popular among the voters of Montana.

In 2016, he won the state with over 20% more voters than Hillary Clinton.

With the Trump wave leading towards mistrust in "conservative-leaning" Democrats, especially

in states like Montana, it would be in Tester's best interest to be on Trump's good side.

Georgia the cops were responding to a call about a suspicious man the suspect

more beyond that but politically Sarah there are so many Democrats who have

made it pretty clear they're not going to vote for anybody the president

nominates look I think that's the the Democrats message right now which is

oppose everything and do nothing it's frankly gotten really sad that their

party has no message no leadership no solutions and they want to fight a

president who's trying to lead and who's doing amazing things for our country and

things that are really hard to argue with we have a booming economy he's

created a job after job after job the ISIS is on the run one day after the

next great things are happening across the globe and particularly in America

and this president is leading that effort and Democrats frankly they should

join him in all of the great things that are happening in this country instead of

fighting them particularly since they have no ideas of their own

Sarah quickly on that Supreme Court pick can you confirm that he's only

interviewing people that were on that list because there's been rumors of

adding a couple of additional names the president has said he's but he's

focused on on that list and right now is going to continue to stick

with that list look the main thing the president is looking for are people that

fit the the qualifications that you would want in a Supreme Court justice

tremendous intellect someone who will stick to upholding the Constitution and

somebody who has great judicial temperament those are the big things the

president is looking for in a candidate and he's got a great group to choose

from and I know he's gonna make the right decision and we're excited about

his announcement on Monday well Sarah we just heard that Oprah Winfrey doesn't

want to run for president because of she's watching what's happening to all

of y'all when you're eating at a restaurant Scott Pruett was at a

restaurant and someone came up a lady with her baby on her on her hip and her

husband filming it puts it on Facebook I'm talking about what he's doing to

environment and we've seen different people different lawmakers come out and

say basically that that Democrats should continue to harass you guys for working

for the president Jennifer Rubin the Washington Post columnist she's supposed

to be a conservative she was on MSNBC and this is what she said about you

always treat people with respect and I think it's a sad day in America when

Democrats only message is to attack people that support this president and

support this country and that are here working hard every single day to try to

make it better we show up with that goal in mind and I

think frankly if Democrats started thinking about it the same way we are

they'd be a lot better off but I think that it's it's honestly a sad day in

America for Democrats in the Democrat Party that their only message is one of

intolerance and one of attacking people who love this country and are trying to

do good things for it sir I was wondering since you were asked to leave

the red hand out in western Virginia have you gone to another restaurant

anywhere are you a little worried that that might happen again or or what I

I've been to one but I'm not going to locations to create to keep from

will say that the president has been clear on this message for a long time he

the United States puts over four-and-a-half percent of the GDP into

NATO and he wants other countries to step up they have a commitment to meet

the 2% threshold and he wants to see them do at least that

in some countries could do that by tomorrow and he's asking that they step

up and be part of the solution it's a little bit more burden sharing instead

of putting all the pressure on the United States to carry the weight all

TRUMP MEETS WITH DUTCH Prime Minister Mark Rutte IN at the White House - Duration: 5:17.

good afternoon hello everybody has a big group big group ketta me Awards bigger

well thank you very much it's a great honor to have the Prime Minister of the

Kingdom of the Netherlands that's the official title that sometimes very

elegant and beautiful but it's a great honor to have you

we've worked together and have a very very close relationship I think the

relationship with the Netherlands has never been better than it is now we'll

be meeting over the next two weeks again at NATO and we'll be discussing that

today also and we are discussing trade and the EU and lots of other things that

tremendous numbers are coming out of the United States and our government our

economy is very good probably the best it's ever been and we are very close to

making some very good trade deals of fair trade yeah I didn't want to say

good I want to say fair fair trade deals for our taxpayers and for our workers

and our farmers and a lot of good things are happening I think the EU we're gonna

be meeting with them fairly soon they want to see if they could work something

out and that'll be good and if we do work it out that'll be positive and if

we don't it'll be positive also because no we'll just think about those cars

therefore in here and look yourself a great you have to work but it'll be

it'll be positive but again mr. prime minister thank you very much for baby

it's good to be here and can I add to this that the relationship between the

Netherlands and the United States is over 400 years old we are allies we have

always been friends or to be friendly working closely together and our talks

today will no doubt concentrate on jobs and on security because the president

and I we are both convinced that as leaders our prime task is essentially to

make sure that our countries are safe and stable and that we have an economy

which is providing the jobs and the future growth for our people

and there are so many opportunities between the United States and

Netherlands to do more both in the area of security as well as any area of

having more jobs and having more trades and more investments already almost 1

million people 825,000 in a job in the u.s. because of Dutch investments and a

quarter of million people in a job because of us

investments in the Netherlands and our aim will be to increase those numbers to

be more successful so I'm really looking forward to our discussions that's great

and I will say that I just spoke with the president-elect of Mexico we had a

great conversation about a half an hour long we talked about border security we

talked about trade we talked about NAFTA we talked about a separate deal just

Mexico in the United States we had a lot of good conversation

I think the relationship would be a very good one we'll see what happens but I

really do believe it's going to be a very good one he had a very excellent

election did I would say even better than anticipated I told him a number of

years ago when I saw him campaigning for a different race frankly a different

year a different race I said he'll be someday he's going to be the president

of Mexico so he remembered that and it turned out to be correct we had a great

talk in the morning during the morning I interviewed and met with four potential

justices of our great Supreme Court they are outstanding people they are really

incredible people in so many different ways academically in every other way and

I had a very very interesting morning so between the President of Mexico and also

the I guess you would call him the president-elect but I think he'll do a I

think he's going to try and do very hard I think he's going to try and help us

with border we have unbelievably bad border laws immigration laws the weakest

in the world laughed at by everybody in the world and Mexico has very strong

immigration laws so they can help us until we straighten out our immigration

laws which have been bad for many many years decades and we're going to have

them taken care of but very interesting though was my four meetings will be I'll

be meeting with two or three more and we'll make a decision on the United

States Supreme Court the new justice that will be made over the next few days

and we'll be announcing it on Monday and I look forward to that I think the

person that is chosen will be outstanding thank you very much

everybody

over the next I'll be announcing that on Monday Monday WTO streeted the United

States very badly and I hope they changed their ways they have been

treating us very badly for many many years and that's why we were at a big

disadvantage with the WTO and we're not planning anything now but if they don't

treat us properly we will be doing something thank you everybody

appreciated
