Just now President Putin denied having anything to do with the election

interference of 2016. Every US intelligence agency has concluded that

Russia did. My first question for you sir is: who do you believe?

and some others, they said they think it's Russia.

I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia.

I will say this, I don't see any reason why it would be.

And a key sentence in my remarks

I said the word would instead of wouldn't. The sentence should have been:

"I don't see any reason why I wouldn't" or "why it wouldn't be Russian."

The president just tweeted a moment ago this, quote, "so many people at the higher

ends of intelligence loved my press conference performance in Helsinki.

Putin and I discussed many important subjects our earlier meeting. We got along well,

which truly bothered many haters who wanted to see a boxing match.

Big results will come.

Is Russia still targeting the U.S.?

Thank you very much. No.

You say you agree with US intelligence that's Russia meddled in

the election in 2016. Yeah and I've said that before Jeff I

have said that numerous times before and I would say that that is true yeah.

But you haven't condemned Putin specifically do you hold him personally responsible

Well I would because he's in charge of the country just like I consider myself

to be responsible for things that happen in this country.

The President, as both he and President Putin said

discussed election meddling. I think we've made

very clear what our position is on that front.

James Comey Just Confirmed Trump's Worst Fears About The Deep State

Donald Trump has warned Americans that there is a Deep State within the federal government

actively working to sabotage his presidency.

Illegal leaks, biased FBI agents and covert spying campaigns were just the tip of the

iceberg.

Former FBI Director James Comey sent out a message that just confirmed President Trump's

worst fears about the Deep State.

For months, the so-called "mainstream" media has peddled fake news that there is

no such thing as the Deep State.

Journalists and pundits mocked President Trump for his assertions that shadowy forces embedded

in the bureaucracy were plotting in secret to sink his administration.

The fake news tried pushback on Trump claiming that top ranking FBI and intelligence community

officials – especially the Obama holdovers who remained in place while Trump's nominee

waited to be confirmed – were straight shooters who never let their hatred of Donald Trump

interfere with their ability to perform their jobs.

That laughable assertion began to collapse as the true story of James Comey's time

at the FBI became known.

Comey used spies against Trump's campaign and utilized the fake news Christopher Steele

dossier as the primary evidence to obtain a FISA warrant to wiretap Trump campaign aide

Carter Page.

Comey – as well as his defenders in the media – claimed that all of these actions

were legitimate and were not tainted by his hatred of Donald Trump.

The final blow to Comey's credibility was a recent tweet where Comey declared that every

American who didn't vote for the Democrats this fall was a traitor to America.

The disgraced former FBI Director tweeted:

This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders' design that

"Ambition must … counteract ambition."

All who believe in this country's values must vote for Democrats this fall.

Policy differences don't matter right now.

History has its eyes on us.

If Comey doesn't want to have his actions viewed through the prism of partisan politics

than he should never have revealed his true colors to the world.

This tweet is all the evidence Trump supporters need to prove that every decision Comey made

as FBI Director should be judged based on how they advanced his goals of destroying

Donald Trump.

Comey's social media posting also completely vindicates Trump's May 2017 decision to

fire Comey.

When Comey informed Trump that the FBI Director would give Trump "honest loyalty" he was

lying.

Comey's loyalty was to the Deep State and the plot to force Trump from office.

The FBI Director at any point in time could have stated that Donald Trump was not under

investigation.

But his public refusal to comment on the matter fed the media narrative that the FBI was actively

investigating President Trump for collusion with Russia.

Multiple lawmakers – including Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley – have implied that

Comey and other Department of Justice officials have made it clear behind closed doors that

Trump is not a target of the investigation.

Comey would never repeat in public what he was willing to say behind closed doors.

The argument that Comey made these comments in classified briefings does not hold water

since a)Comey was more than willing to leak confidential memos to his friends – a decision

which has landed him under investigation and b) Comey's tweet shows his decision to remain

silent and Trump's status and allow a cloud of suspicion to hover over his administration

was made out of partisan animus.

Comey's actions prove that not only is the Deep State real, but that the intelligence

community at the highest levels of the FBI were a cesspool of bias and Trump Derangement

Syndrome.

Notes on an Interpreters' Notes - The Trump-Putin Helsinki incident - Duration: 7:11.

Hello. Ewandro here. I wanted to add my two cents to the conversation

going on about the incident involving the interpreter to President Trump

regarding the Helsinki summit. There's now talk of that interpreter being

subpoenaed and asked to testify before Congress and at some point being

pressured to divulge information gained or content or information gained as a

result of her exposure to that high-level meeting which again goes and

runs contrary to a basic tenet of interpreting, which is of course

confidentiality. But I don't want to talk about the legal implications in this

case. Rather I want to take advantage of this incident for what it

gives us and for the opportunity it presents us to help people understand a

bit better how interpreters do their job. Because from the questions being asked

it is evident that there's a lot of ignorance out there. For example there's

now mention of the interpreter eventually being asked to submit her notes in the

hope that those notes are going to help clarify what the content of the meeting

was. There are many things wrong with this plan, and here's why. Number 1: Those

notes are no longer in existence, most likely. Any interpreter worth her salt at

the end of such a high caliber meeting would have disposed of those notes

appropriately. Number 2: Unlike stenographers, interpreters don't share a

common set of icons and symbols or a language that they use to take those

notes. The notes are not something that an interpreter

would look at and say 'oh yeah, she means this...

and that. This is what they're talking about.' It's not a language. It is

just a set of very random icons, abbreviations, upward and downward arrows

and so on that interpreters will use in a way that makes sense to them, and no-one

else. It's very cryptic and very economical even.

If you look at a page there's not much there, and it's because

they're just aids to memory. They're just there to trigger your thinking and

most likely just to help you understand what the logic of the conversation is,

where I'm coming from and where I'm going to, what came first in what came

second, if I'm reconstructing a speech from a long page of annotations.

Sometimes interpreters will take 5 to 8 minutes of non-stop speech before

they even are given a chance to start getting that back across in a different

language. So the notes are totally and utterly useless to anybody else looking

Even if they are produced they're not gonna help anybody.

Abbreviations, for example the letter E, could mean Empowerment. It could be Energy and

it could be elections. But in the course of one same conversation the same letter

will be used to mean different things to the same interpreter, because it's all

context driven. Even for that interpreter who took them those notes are not

gonna be valid and useful for much longer, because from that meeting she

went into another one and another one because she's on mission, following a

large team of aides and advisors and authorities around, and she doesn't have

the time to keep those notes and reflect on them. She's not keeping those notes to

write a report later. Once the meeting is over she shakes that all off, dusts it

all off, moves on to the next assignment where she's already busy preparing the

terminology, piling up information getting the specifics, and

that takes a lot of attention and a lot of bandwidth. So you don't have the

luxury of contemplating your notes a second time to actually make sense of

them. In a couple of hours if you look at the page you won't be able to even

make sense of what the notes were supposed to mean to you. Number 3,

most importantly, is that if that interpreter is ever

forced to come before Congress and divulge or share information,

confidential information gained in the course of that meeting, I wouldn't be

surprised if she claimed not to have any recollection. And I would totally believe

her, because I've been in that exact situation where you try your

best to get the message across and so on but you're not concentrating on content.

We're not hearing secrets or keeping them in retaining them for later

consumption, to convey them to someone else after the fact. We're too busy

with half of our mind just listening to a language, trying to

understand the units of meaning coming our way. Another third of your

mind going to reprocessing that in a different language. And the third that's

left of your mind is just checking on yourself and on your language and your

grammar and your style to make sure it all makes sense and comes across in an

elegant and an intelligible fashion. Interpreters are also very skilled at

remembering but also forgetting, because they need to void their mind

the minute the meeting ends, to actually get ready for what comes

next. So interpreters will not retain secrets

that's not what we do. Interpreters are not in for the message, you know,

content-wise. They are in for the logic and the units of meaning and making sure

that they work as a conduit that is actually making it possible for the

other two people or more in the room to communicate. That's number three.

Going back to the whole politics of it, if you want my opinion, I don't think an

interpreter should be put in that situation. I know there are legal

constraints in this case and again it's a matter of what takes precedence over

what. And not only because of what it means to the interpreter in question,

but because of what it means to the whole system. You don't want to undermine the

system of confidence that is in place to a point where next time a

high-level figure walks into a private room to have a high-level meeting he or

she might be doubtful as to whether s/he can trust the interpreter. So those

were my two cents and again I just wanted to go back to some technicalities

of interpreting to help you understand, those of you who are not interpreters,

how the whole thing happens and how it's done. I am Ewandro Magalhaes, a

Recently Obama launched a new plan to take out Trump, but it ended up being the biggest

mistake of her life.

Ever since Donald Trump took office, Michelle Obama has lobbed pot shots at his administration.

Obama roared when Trump rolled back her Soviet-style school lunch mandates.

And she has made racist comments about how people don't trust the GOP because it's

run by a bunch of old white men.

But Obama took her campaign to undermine the Trump administration to a new level ahead

of the 2018 midterms.

The former First Lady joined A-List Hollywood celebrities like Tom Hanks, Faith Hill and

Tim McGraw, Lin Manuel Miranda, Chris Paul and Janelle Monae to start up a new voter

registration organization called When We All Vote.

When We All Vote is billed as a "nonpartisan" group so they can obtain nonprofit status

with the IRS.

But don't let them fool you.

When We All Vote is a hardcore, left-wing activist group that will work hand-over-fist

to drag liberals to the polls in the midterm elections in order to create a blue wave to

wash the Democrats into power.

"Voting is the only way to ensure that our values and priorities are represented in the

halls of power," the former First Lady wrote in a press release.

"And it's not enough to just vote for president every four years.

We all have to vote in every single election: for mayor, governor, school board, state legislature

and Congress.

The leaders we elect to these offices help determine just about every aspect of our lives

and our democracy.

So the future of our families, our communities and our country belongs to those of us who

show up, cast our votes, and make our voices heard."

The Democrats are serious about winning back Congress so they can block Donald Trump's

agenda and ultimately impeach him.

And the left is leaving nothing to chance.

That's why liberals are bringing out the big guns.

Michelle Obama and a gang of A-list celebrities is as close to royalty as you can find in

the Democrat Party.

But there is one fatal flaw in this plan.

Americans are not registered to vote because they have no interest in participating in

the political process.

It takes candidates – Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama, Ron Paul or Donald Trump – to turn

Americans who didn't care about politics into voters.

And that only happens in Presidential election years.

If the left is counting on registering voters to win in November's midterms, then the

chances for a blue wave are even smaller than anyone thought.

Republicans should take heart that the left is deploying one of their biggest names on

a political mission with little upside.

Fact-checking Trump's DNC servers rant - Duration: 2:43.

You've already heard plenty about President Donald Trump's news conference with Russian

President Vladimir Putin on Monday.

But during Trump's comments about Russian election interference, he made some claims

that didn't spur quite as many headlines.

And we should fact-check.

"You have groups that are wondering why the FBI never took the server.

Why haven't they taken the server?

Where is the server?

I want to know, where is the server?

And what is the server saying?

Dan Coats came to me and some others — they said they think it's Russia.

I have President Putin; he just said it's not Russia.

I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be, but I really do want to see the

server.

... What happened to the servers of the Pakistani gentleman that worked on the DNC?

Where are those servers?

They're missing."

OK, so there's a lot happening there.

It's hard to know exactly what the president is talking about because he speaks in fragments

and doesn't get super specific.

Regardless, we should set some things straight.

Trump seems to be making one of two claims, if not both: That the DNC servers are missing,

or that the servers of a specific person who worked for the DNC are missing; and that there's

something to be suspicious of there.

So, going the DNC route: The DNC servers aren't missing.

They never were.

After the committee was hacked, it hired a private firm to investigate.

The firm made copies of the servers, as is typical in cyberattack investigations, and

eventually provided them to the FBI.

Former FBI Director James Comey testified getting forensics from the private firm was

an appropriate substitute for direct access.

Then there's the argument that servers belonging to a specific person who worked at the DNC

are missing.

Trump references a "Pakistani gentleman."

He's likely talking about Imran Awan, a subject of conspiracy theories that tried to tie him

to the DNC email hack.

The president has tweeted about him before.

Awan worked IT for House Democrats, not the DNC.

He came under investigation by the Inspector General's Office, which said he and some of

his family members, who worked with him, accessed congressional servers without authorization.

The case ended up in the hands of police and the FBI.

The Washington Post reported the investigation might have uncovered breaches of protocol

but no theft of information.

This month, Awan pleaded guilty to a charge of lying on a loan application unrelated to

his job.

In his plea deal, the U.S. Attorney's office said the government found no evidence that

he removed data from House servers, stole or destroyed info, or improperly accessed

or transferred info.

And there were no missing servers there, either.

So, while it's not entirely clear what the president was talking about at his news conference,

the bits and pieces he mentioned paint a very inaccurate picture.

specific firm commitments Kim is made on dismantling that nuclear program

surrendering his program the State Department refuses to offer a timeline

only acknowledging there's still a lot of work to do to accomplish this

analysts have also said that satellite images show continued North Korean work

on some of its weapons productions facilities secretary Pompeo says the US

has secured at least a commitment from North Korea for the return of the

remains of American service members that were killed during the Korean War that's

expected in the next couple of weeks he says now here at the Security Council

there are efforts from China and Russia to ease sanctions against North Korea to

reward it for already negotiating though South Korea's foreign minister has

rejected that idea the Trump administration has also said it is

pushing continued enforcement of existing sanctions against the Kim

regime and it has refused to enact additional sanctions against North Korea

now we asked the State Department while the Secretary of State is here at the

United Nations whether he would meet with any representatives from the North

Korean government the State Department would only say that that is not on the

schedule and they'll update us on any type of changes to that schedule if they

administration's push to engage Moscow in a way that could lead to better

relations but the President as you pointed out John said yesterday that

doesn't mean that this administration will be soft on Russia look at the

sanctions I've put on look at the diplomats I threw out look at all of the

things that I've done nobody else did what I've done Obama didn't do it

Obama was a patsy for Russia he was a total patsy look at the statement he

made when he thought the mics were turned off okay the stupid statement he

made nobody there's a big deal about that president once again being animated

about some things have happened in the recent past meanwhile Secretary of State

Mike Pompeo who clearly would take the lead on any new talks describe the

president's thinking this way he's trying to take opportunities places

where we find we can work together and put America in a position to do the

things he wants to do on behalf of the American people and that's the idea here

at the White House they want the president to continue to advance our

Vladimir Putin invitation to Washington what is the White House saying about

the the White House will tell you they weren't exactly thrilled by the reaction

portfolio ambassador Bolton has a portfolio he can't be expected to know

at a conference or a damning indictment of the information flow within the

understands precisely who it is we're dealing with in Russia he gets it

Hugo good morning to you good morning so should that interview calm the

president's critics well it should but I think you and I know Sandra that it's

not going to nothing has calmed them in the 18 months since he was inaugurated

so you know the truth is that the president's performance in Helsinki was

weak and it was disappointing through a lot of people and that you know the

thing however to remember is that the critics while they might be right on the

performance having been weak they're absolutely it's it is absurd as Mike

Pompeo said to say that somehow that performance proved that the President

Putin has some sort of dirt on President Trump that it is some sort of hold you

know president Trump is absolutely right when he talked about the things that he

has done to counter Russia the things that he didn't mention there

was just a few days before the Helsinki summit he was excoriating Germany for a

business deal on a gas pipeline which he said was enriching Russia

he's boosted American troop levels to counter Russia he sent deadly weapons to

the Ukrainians including sophisticated anti-tank weapons these are not the

actions of someone who seems to be a puppet of the Moscow you know DNI

director Dan coats and sort of what appeared to be a bit of a light moment

depending on how you look at it learned of this upcoming meeting with Putin in

Washington perhaps this fall on that stage there but nonetheless a meeting

with Putin in Washington is the White House perhaps giving everybody something

to look forward to - maybe distract from the Helsinki

summit I don't think that this is intended as a distraction I mean after

the last several days have been a certain amount of damage limitation

because of the way the Helsinki wants but I suspect that you know President

Trump is just not going to be deflected from his efforts to have a better

relationship with Russia he sometimes does that in a very clumsy way here but

you know there's also the fact that the his administration and the White House

spring surprises on its own administration so sure that information

presumably took mr. Coates by surprise and that is the kind of thing which

administration's should try not to have as big surprises what did she make it

the president really taking on Obama there he's made the point many times

that he's been tougher on Russia than Obama ever was but he said Obama was a

patsy for Russia yeah you know that's that's not it not a completely wrong

assessment you you he referred to the tape where President Obama was

reassuring the Russian Prime Minister that after the election and he had no

more elections to to run he could be kind of easier on Russia when it came to

the Ukraine President Obama refused to send the kind

of weaponry that President Trump has then he sent sort of pretty much useless

things like blankets you know if the truth is that President

Obama was in the way that in his actual policies softer on Russia than Trump has

been the the odd thing is that there's a big gulf between the rhetoric and the

actions with Obama the actions were softer and the rhetoric was a bit

women who work in high demand industries across our nation thank you and I want

to thank the leaders in government in business and education who came together

for the launch of this landmark workforce initiative the president

pledged to fight for the Forgotten men and women of America and that is exactly

what he's done and that is what today is all about we want to open new pathways

for all Americans to secure better jobs and bigger paychecks I'm honored that

the president has asked me to lead the White House's effort to spur job

creation and economic opportunity through vocational education and

workforce development over the past year and a half our administration has taken

action to expand apprenticeships increase access to STEM education for

all K through 12 students and ensure that our workforce programs deliver real

results for our citizens we are also working with members of Congress many of

whom are here today to pass important legislation such as the Perkins Career

and Technical Education bill to modernize workforce development and

support over 11 million students and workers across the country in my travels

over the past 17 months it has been an amazing honor to meet with men and women

across our nation who helped build our cities pioneer new industries and start

businesses with a little more than their grit and imagination their talent is

unmatched their drive inspiring and their tenacity is truly what makes

America's workforce the best in the world last week in Syracuse New York I

met several recent high school graduates who join us today Lilly law William

DeJesus and Robert Felder Lily William Robert will you join us

through the pathways and Technology program they each graduated with more

than 20 college credits and experience interning in fields such as science

manufacturing and electrical engineering

last week robbers Roberts grandmother was with him

and Robert I hope you don't mind me sharing this story but I personally was

just blown away by the way she looked at you with such

pride and admiration and that's an admiration everyone in this room shares

Lily William Robert you are truly an inspiration to us all your ambition your

grit your perseverance it's really inspiring so thank you for being here

America's vocational education whether for high school students like Lily

William and Robert or for mid to late career workers should be as innovative

dynamic and successful as our people and that is why today the president is

launching a national workforce strategy we're calling upon government in the

private sector to equip our students and workers with the skills they need to

thrive in the modern economy I want to thank all of the companies and trade

associations who are here with us today and joining for the launch of this bold

initiative thank you for your partnership over the previous weeks and

months as we have prepared for this important day and this is really just

the beginning really thank you with that it is now my honor to introduce the 45th

chairman of the American Trucking Association along with Johnny Taylor

president of the Society for Human Resource Management they've been

fantastic and really worked hard with us everyone here today is united by the

same goal to train recruit hire American workers thanks to our tremendous

economic successes and we've had a lot of them and we've never had and I have

to tell you as a country we have never been more successful that we are exactly

right now today the numbers coming out are beyond what anyone ever thought

possible and so there's never been a better time to hire and grow in America

we've created 3.7 million jobs since the election in the month of June alone we

grew the workforce by more than 600,000 workers I say that if I ever mentioned

this if I ever mentioned this during the campaign they would have said there's no

way there's no way no way that could happen well it's happened and far more

than we ever thought we're in the longest positive job growth streak in

American history african-american unemployment has reached its lowest

level in American history Hispanic unemployment is at its lowest level in

American history Asian unemployment has reached its

lowest level in American history women's unemployment oh this is too bad Maryland

this is very sad has reached its lowest level in only 65 years but within about

two weeks I think we'll be able to say in American history because it's moving

quickly okay 65 years is not so bad right

consumer and business confidence has reached its all-time highs the highest

ever recorded and 95% of manufacturers are optimistic about the future that's

the highest number ever recorded so a lot of good things are happening out

there every day we are lifting our forgotten Americans off the sidelines

out of the margins and back into the workforce we are giving a second chance

at life to the six hundred and twenty thousand former inmates who reenter

society each year there's nothing like a great great jobs market to take care of

that situation it's incredible what's happened with people that were in prison

that previous to this could not get themselves a job and now they're being

hired and people are loving them it's been really incredible to see

but to keep this momentum going to continue this economic miracle and

that's what it is it's a miracle what's happened in the last year and a half we

must invest in job training and vocational education I mean the fact is

that companies are pouring back into our country companies that frankly left 10

and 20 years ago and they're coming back and we need people to work for those

companies we need talented people we need people with training that's why in

a few moments I will be signing an executive order to establish the

National Council for the American worker that's a first this council will be made

up of top officials across the government

we're also establishing an outside Advisory Board of industry leaders and

experts which we will announce in the coming weeks very shortly a lot of

people want to be on that board very badly have some great people going on

that board together their task will be to develop a national workforce and

strategy to equip Americans of all ages and at all stages of their career with

the skills they need to thrive in the modern economy whether it's a high

school student looking to land their first job first job ever and they've got

a lot of enthusiasm and they lose that enthusiasm when they don't land that job

but now they're all landing jobs or a late career worker who wants to learn a

new trade we want every American to have the chance to earn a great living doing

a great job that they love where they wake up in the morning and they can't

get to work fast enough a lot of these people know that feeling that's why

they're in the position they're in and that spirit I'm proud to announce an

exciting new challenge and the beginning of a new national movement we're asking

businesses and organizations across the country to sign our new pledge to

America's workers today 23 companies and associations are pledging to expand

apprenticeships that's an interesting word for me to be saying right the

apprentice I never actually put that together until

just now that was a good experience I will tell you that and that's range

Ivanka I never associated but here we are can't get away from that word it's a

great word for on-the-job training and vocational education they will sign the

pledge committing to train and retrain more than 3.8 million American students

and workers for new jobs and rewarding careers

this is only day one and we far exceeded our initial goal of 500,000 students and

workers we thought it was going to be 500,000 and disclose to 4 million and by

the time the day ends it'll probably be well over 4 million in the days and

months ahead we hope that hundreds of companies and organizations will join us

in this effort I want to thank all of the wonderful companies and associations

who are about to sign the pledge and we're about to introduce I applaud your

civic leadership it's incredible know so many of you I know how committed you are

you're great people and your commitment to training and recruiting American

BREAKING Trump Signed His Latest Executive Order

On April 10th of this year, the President officially signed an executive order that

will aid in reducing poverty in the United States by promoting financial opportunity

and economic mobility.

However, it has largely been under-reported on.

The White House press office did, however, release a statement on it saying,

"By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United

States of America, and to promote economic mobility, strong social networks, and accountability

to American taxpayers, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1.

Purpose.

The United States and its Constitution were founded on the principles of freedom and equal

opportunity for all.

To ensure that all Americans would be able to realize the benefits of those principles,

especially during hard times, the Government established programs to help families with

basic unmet needs.

Unfortunately, many of the programs designed to help families have instead delayed economic

independence, perpetuated poverty, and weakened family bonds.

While bipartisan welfare reform enacted in 1996 was a step toward eliminating the economic

stagnation and social harm that can result from long-term Government dependence, the

welfare system still traps many recipients, especially children, in poverty and is in

need of further reform and modernization in order to increase self-sufficiency, well-being,

and economic mobility.

Sec. 2.

Policy.

(a) In 2017, the Federal Government spent more than $700 billion on low-income assistance.

Since its inception, the welfare system has grown into a large bureaucracy that might

be susceptible to measuring success by how many people are enrolled in a program rather

than by how many have moved from poverty into financial independence.

This is not the type of system that was envisioned when welfare programs were instituted in this

country.

The Federal Government's role is to clear paths to self-sufficiency, reserving public

assistance programs for those who are truly in need.

The Federal Government should do everything within its authority to empower individuals

by providing opportunities for work, including by investing in Federal programs that are

effective at moving people into the workforce and out of poverty.

It must examine Federal policies and programs to ensure that they are consistent with principles

that are central to the American spirit — work, free enterprise, and safeguarding human and

economic resources.

For those policies or programs that are not succeeding in those respects, it is our duty

to either improve or eliminate them.

(b) It shall be the policy of the Federal Government to reform the welfare system of

the United States so that it empowers people in a manner that is consistent with applicable

law and the following principles, which shall be known as the Principles of Economic Mobility:

(i) Improve employment outcomes and economic independence (including by strengthening existing

work requirements for work-capable people and introducing new work requirements when

legally permissible);

(ii) Promote strong social networks as a way of sustainably escaping poverty (including

through work and marriage);

(iii) Address the challenges of populations that may particularly struggle to find and

maintain employment (including single parents, formerly incarcerated individuals, the homeless,

substance abusers, individuals with disabilities, and disconnected youth);

(iv) Balance flexibility and accountability both to ensure that State, local, and tribal

governments, and other institutions, may tailor their public assistance programs to the unique

needs of their communities and to ensure that welfare services and administering agencies

can be held accountable for achieving outcomes (including by designing and tracking measures

that assess whether programs help people escape poverty);

(v) Reduce the size of bureaucracy and streamline services to promote the effective use of resources;

(vi) Reserve benefits for people with low incomes and limited assets;

(vii) Reduce wasteful spending by consolidating or eliminating Federal programs that are duplicative

or ineffective;

(viii) Create a system by which the Federal Government remains updated on State, local,

and tribal successes and failures, and facilitates access to that information so that other States

and localities can benefit from it; and

(ix) Empower the private sector, as well as local communities, to develop and apply locally

based solutions to poverty.""

The executive order continues to describe in great detail and length how the administration

intends on curbing poverty.

But most importantly it focuses on several key factors in achieving this outcome,

improve employment outcomes and economic independence; promote marriage and family as a way of escaping

poverty; address the challenges of hard-to-employ populations;

provide more flexibility to States, while ensuring accountability for achieving outcomes;

streamline services to more effectively use taxpayer resources;

reserve benefits for those truly in need; consolidate duplicative programs;

facilitate greater sharing of information between States and localities; and

empower the private sector to find solutions to poverty

In the fine print of the executive order, the administration makes it clear they will

be increasing work requirements for those utilizing subsidized government benefits,

focusing on using taxpayer dollars for their intended purpose, as well as empowering state

and local authorities to provide services to those in need.

This executive order is going to be yet another notch under the belt of the administration

in curbing poverty and decreasing unemployment.

For the third straight month, the United States has maintained a 4.1 percent unemployment

rate which is the lowest it has been since 2000.

These are near record low numbers at a time when businesses are dealing with a shortage

of labor.

President Trump brought this order about because despite the labor shortage federal government

assistance benefits are being used at an all-time high.

In 2016 alone, a total of 16 million able-bodied individuals were enrolled in the Supplemental

Nutrition Assistant Program (SNAP).

While in January 2018 74 million were enrolled in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance

Program (CHIP).

These numbers continue to increase and something must be done about it which is exactly why

the President introduced and signed this executive order.

By focusing on creating more opportunities for Americans to work it will lead to more

income in their pockets and less of a need for governmental assistance programs.

That means they'll be less likely to vote Democrat.

This is what provides people a pathway to financial freedom and the middle class and

that is what this administration is all about.

Especially given the fact the statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau indicate that 97 percent

of full-time workers eventually move out of poverty.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson released a statement saying that he was "deeply grateful"

to the U.S. military and the intelligence community for capturing the militant.

attack and that officials "will spare no effort to ensure that justice is served,"

Tillerson said.

"I spoke with some of their family members to underscore the U.S. government's unwavering

As the political firestorm over his summit with Putin continues, President Trump has

weighed in on his country's monetary policy.

In an interview with CNBC that was broadcast on Thursday, Trump said he was unhappy about

the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike amid his efforts to boost the economy.

"…..I'm not thrilled, because you know, we go up, and every time we go up, they want

to raise rates again, and I don't really, uh, I am not happy about it……"

His remarks break more than 20 years of White House tradition of steering clear of comments

on central bank policy and the value of the dollar.

The White House later issued a statement, saying Trump respects the Fed's independence

and is not interfering with its policy decisions.

Then he went to Finland to meet Vladimir Putin.

so I have to separate children from their parents every single morning

but at least I know who to hand them back to at the end of the day.

He's a man that does and says exactly what he wants.

even if he does look like one of my jobbies after a night on the Irn Bru.

You know the American establishment is outraged by Trump's performance and it's no surprise.

for Trump's impeachment.

When I was ten years old, over a plate of rice, beans, and tortillas, I watched the

evening news in front of an old Emerson 19-inch tube TV.

On the screen was a man who looked like a grandpa, resembled the dad on "Father Knows

Best," and who spoke of a Shining City on the Hill — whatever that meant.

I didn't know who Ronald Reagan was at that time, but I knew he was an honorable man.

I knew that he cared for me and my family.

And I knew that even though I did not look like him, I wanted to be like him: fearless,

just, righteous — an American.

Ronald Reagan embodied for me what it meant to be a citizen of these great United States

of America.

We are a people who are strong yet compassionate, convicted yet tolerant, determined yet understanding.

I am a Republican today because of Ronald Reagan.

He instilled in me the principles that have guided my life, personally and politically.

I believe in fiscal conservatism, American exceptionalism, a moral rubric based on Judeo-Christian

industry and he has ridiculed those religious leaders who would deign to question him for

He mocks and laughs at those Christians who would question him.

I was one of the only Republican elected officials in the country to plead with the American

voters to abandon this charlatan prior to his election.

For my transgressions, I was summarily unelected from the Texas Legislature.

I have no regrets.

I always do what I believe is right.

That is not politically expedient, but it helps me sleep at night.

But verily I say unto you today, if we do not stop this man now, today, over 500 days

into his presidency, we will be equally culpable in what he has planned for our great nation.

President Trump thinks you are a fool.

He believes you will never abandon him.

And he believes that there is almost nothing that he can do that would cause you to abandon

supporting him.

But what he doesn't know is that you are not a fool.

You, like me, are an American.

And no man will own your heart and mind like this president thinks he owns you.

Today is the day we take back our America.

Today is the day we say "NO" to anyone who revels in abusing those weaker than them

for political points.

Today is the day we stand up and fight for the American values that Reagan taught us:

truth, justice, peace, civility, comity and righteousness.

This is who we are.

Not the sordid, ugly, Trumpists who require anger and vitriol.

We have the clarity and focus to do what is right to make our communities better and stronger.

This is who we are — not the contorted caricature that the alt-right has created of us.

Democrats have been trying to impeach President Donald Trump ever since he took office.

Now, they seem to be closer to accomplishing this goal than ever before.

The Hill reported that members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) have taken the lead in

efforts to impeach Trump.

The Black lawmakers say they are doing this because of Trump repeatedly stirring racial

controversies, citing examples such as the president personally attacking two members

of the caucus to casting equal blame on white supremacists and counterprotesters for fatal

violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, last summer.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), former head of the CBC, said he has been against Trump

ever since the real estate mogul began raising doubts about former President Barack Obama's

birthplace — and, by extension, his authority to be president.

"I don't know if the people around the country understand that he has launched … an

assault against African-American people starting with his refusal to accept the first African-American

president, by continuing to declare that he was from Kenya," Cleaver said.

"No other president in history has had to face that kind of criticism.

We've come to conclude that this is a part of his belief system."

Just under two-thirds of the 48-member CBC have voted in favor of impeachment in House

floor votes forced by Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), himself a CBC member.

"Members voted in support of debating impeachment of the president," said CBC spokeswoman

Kamara Jones, adding that "some of the members who voted against tabling that motion might

ultimately support impeachment itself."

When presenting his impeachment legislation, Green argued that Trump is "legitimizing

bigotry."

"Saying that certain countries of color are s-hole countries … and then saying it

as you're discussing a 'merit-based' immigration policy.

Is it really a merit-based policy, or a race-based policy masquerading as merit-based?"

Green said.

"This bigotry is being evinced in policy."
