Trump news on Youtube Jun 15 2018

SOUTHHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — Kim Kardashian West and Alice Marie Johnson, the woman President Donald Trump freed from life in federal prison, say they won't stop advocating for other people serving long sentences for non-violent drug offenses

The women appeared together in an interview NBC's "Today" show aired Thursday after they met face to face for the first time

Johnson says she plans to continue to work on behalf of inmates still behind bars."I plan on continuing to magnify this issue

I can't stop," she said. "I've lived it, I've walked with them, I've cried with them. My life is completely intertwined forever with those were left behind

"NBC reports that Kardashian West says she's already brought other cases to the White House, using her status as a reality TV celebrity for the greater good

Kardashian West says people are asking her if she's getting into politics, "and I say 'no, I'm still doing me.'""To me this has nothing to do with politics, this has to do with people," she said

"I hope maybe this inspires more people to talk to the people in power, that you can have an effect over them for the greater good of other people

"Johnson said she didn't know her sentence had been commuted until Kardashian West broke the news to her in a call to her prison

"She said you can go home, you can go home now. Are you ready to go home? When she said that I went into full-fledged Pentecostal holy dance

I was dancing. I was jumping. I was screaming. I was doing everything."She said a simple thank you to Kardashian West isn't enough

She's working on living out her thank you by helping others. She showed a photo of Kardashian West and her husband Kanye that she keeps in her Bible

After commuting Johnson's life sentence and granting a posthumous pardon to boxing's first black heavyweight champion, Jack Johnson, at the request of actor Sylvester Stallone, Trump invited professional athletes with friends behind bars to bring those cases to his attention as well

The president then insisted that he's also interested in using his near-limitless clemency power on behalf of people who don't have celebrity supporters

But by operating outside the usual Justice Department clemency protocol, he's drawn criticism that he's playing favorites

Advocates for policy changes, such as the Sentencing Project and the American Civil Liberties Union, are calling on Trump and Congress to focus instead on changing the system

Several measures stuck in Congress would reduce sentences for non-violent drug offenders.

FBI RESPONDS TO DOJ IG REPORT 6/14/18 | DONALD TRUMP NEWS TODAY - June 14, 2018 - Duration: 19:19.

you and turn it over to Chris Rey the FBI director morning everybody thanks

for being here on such short notice as you all know of course the Justice

Department's Office of the Inspector General issued its report today about

DOJ and FBI activity in the run-up to the 2016 election let me say up front I

appreciate the Inspector General's work on this important review thought to take

a few minutes to talk about the report and then I'm happy to take a few

questions the FBI's mission is to protect the

American people and uphold the Constitution but to carry out that

mission were entrusted with a lot of authority so our actions are subject to

close oversight from the courts from our elected leaders and from independent

entities like inspector general and that's how it should be that kind of

examination that kind of oversight makes the FBI's stronger as an organization

and makes the public more safe with that in mind let me briefly address the

findings in the inspector general's report I take this report very seriously

and we accept its findings and recommendations it's also important

though to know what the Inspector General did not find this report did not

find any evidence of political bias for improper considerations actually

impacting the investigations under review the report does identify errors

of judgment violations of or even disregard for policy and decisions that

at the very least with the benefit of hindsight we're not the best choices

we've already started taking the necessary steps to address those issues

first we're gonna hold employees accountable for any potential misconduct

we've already referred conduct highlighted in the report to our

disciplinary arm Oh PR which is the FBI's independent

Office of Professional Responsibility we need to hold ourselves accountable for

the choices we make and the work we do we're doing that fairly but without

delay in the way that people should expect we're gonna adhere to the

appropriate disciplinary process and once that process is complete we won't

hesitate to hold people accountable for their actions second we're gonna make

sure that every FBI employee understands the lessons of this report because

change starts at the top starts with me we're gonna require all of our senior

executives from all around the world to convene for in-depth training

specifically focused on learning the lessons that we should learn on this

report then we're gonna train every single FBI employee both new hires and

veterans alike on what went wrong so these mistakes will never be repeated

third we're gonna make sure that we have the policies the procedures and the

training that are needed for everyone to understand and remember what is expected

of all of us that includes drilling home the importance of objectivity of

avoiding even the appearance of personal conflicts or political bias in our work

ensuring that recusal x' are handled correctly and effectively and

communicated to all the right people making all of our employees fully aware

of our new policy on media contacts which I used last November and making

painfully clear that we will not tolerate non-compliant ensuring that we

follow all DOJ policies on public statements about uncharged conduct or

ongoing investigations and ensuring that our employees adhere strictly

to all policies and procedures about the use of FBI systems networks and devices

I've also directed our associate deputy director to lead a review of how the FBI

handles sensitive investigations and to make recommendations on how those should

be staffed structured and supervised in the future so that every sensitive

investigation is conducted to the FBI's highest standards we're gonna continue

also to work with the Department to gauge our progress in each of these

areas the OIG report makes clear that we've got some work to do but let's also

be clear on the scope of this report it's focused on a specific set of events

back in 2016 in a small number of FBI employees

connected to those events nothing nothing in this report impugns the

integrity of our workforce as a whole or the FBI as an institution as I said

earlier fair and independent scrutiny is welcome an appropriate accountability is

crucial we're gonna learn from this report and we're gonna be better and

stronger as a result but I also want to be crystal clear about the FBI that I

get to see in the past ten months I've been able to visit over 30 of our FBI

field offices around the country and a whole bunch of our league at offices

overseas I visited with folks from every FBI Division at headquarters and in

office after office meeting after meeting I see extraordinary people doing

extraordinary work again and again I hear remarkable stories frankly

inspiring stories about the work the men and women of the FBI are doing to

protect the American people and uphold the Constitution just in the past

several months we've disrupted terrorist attacks in places ranging from the

Sherman's Wharf in San Francisco to a crowded shopping mall in Miami in March

we charged a ring of Iranian state-sponsored hackers with stealing

terabytes of data from scores of American companies universities and

government agencies in Austin we deplored more than 600 of our people to

assist in the investigation of the package bombings down there this year

alone we've rescued one thousand three hundred and five kids from child

predators some of them as young as seven months old we've arrested more than

4,600 gang members violent gang members in just the past several months our FBI

lab has closed thousands of cases through fingerprint analysis and DNA

analysis and our hostage rescue team has deployed something like 27 different

times on missions around the country I could go on and on the FBI's men and

women are doing all that work with the unfailing fidelity to the Constitution

and the laws that it demands the bravery that it calls for and the integrity that

the American people rightly expect as FBI director I'm laser focused on

ensuring that our folks get to continue that great work and do it with the

fidelity and bravery and integrity that we've always had as I've been saying

since as far back as my confirmation hearing I'm a huge believer in the

importance of process of doing this job by the book in every respect and I

expect all our employees to do the same I've tried to emphasize that at every

opportunity in my view the FBI's brand over the past 110 years

is based less on all of our many many successes than it is on the way in which

we've earned those successes following our rules following the law following

our guidelines staying faithful to our core values and

our best traditions trying to make sure we're doing the right thing but to doing

it in the right way treating everybody with respect and

following the facts independently and objectively no matter who likes it that

is the best way that in my view is the only way to maintain trust and

credibility with the people we serve I appreciate this chance to respond to

the IGS report and I would also refer you for more detail in our written

response that's attached at the end of the expect returns report and with that

I'm happy to take a few questions pick Euler that singled out and the report

has been referred to OPI which what are you referring to in particular I can't

comment on any specific personnel matter I would just say that there are a number

of instances in the report where there's conduct that's highlighted we've had

that referred to are as I say our disciplinary arm our OPR there's a

process for that it's a tough process it's a rigorous process and we expect

that process to be followed and once that process is complete we won't

hesitate to hold people accountable

all these only Peter struck is being referred for an investigation to see if

that's a violation of policy if that investigation ongoing in are there

besides Peter struck who were being investigated in frontline well again I'm

not gonna talk about any particular personnel matter because I don't think

that would be appropriate as I said at the beginning I'm committed to doing the

right thing in the right way and by the book and by the book there's not a clue

talking about pending personnel matters with all of you much as you might like

for me to ask that yeah thanks you said there's nothing in the report that

includes the integrity of yet yeah its workforce as a whole but the report does

say that there is a culture of leaking at the FBI do you disagree with that

finding in the report and what do you plan to do about it if you do it well as

I said we accept the findings of the report and the recommendations there

going a number of things on that regard first we issued a new media policy

that's much stricter and much more clear than what had been in place before

second we're going to be doing intensive training on exactly those issues things

like the one that you alluded to that includes contacts with the media third

we're gonna make painfully clear to everybody that we won't tolerate

non-compliance and then last I've asked our OPR to take a hard look at whether

or not they think the penalties that exist right now are sufficient to deal

with that kind of contract yeah sure

maybe actually about sort of a reputation in the FBI certainly the FBI

has taken a lot of hits from the president his tweets and I'm what is

called certain things he said about certain investigations members of

Congress have certainly hit at you guys are now sterling this report you know

take some issues but with the FBI and a lot of what we've been hearing is that

you know people are worried that the reputation of the FBI has suffered as a

result of all the activity in the last several months and I'm just wondering if

you think that's the case and if so what you intend to do to try and fix some of

the perception perhaps that the public may have of the FBI now well that's a

subject that's near and dear to me I guess I would say a couple things one is

there's no shortage of opinions about us out there I will tell you that the

opinions that I care the most about are the opinions of the people who actually

really know us and know us through our work so I'm focused on what a jury's

think on our agents take this fan I'm focused on what a judges think when we

give them a search warrant I'm focused on what victims and their families think

when they are asked who do you trust to get your child back I'm focused on what

do our state local law enforcement partners think when they think who do

they trust who do prosecutors want to work with on cases to me it's the work

that matters if I look at things like that I look at how our recruiting is

doing I look at how our retention is doing our recruiting we get about 12,000

plus people for example trying to be special agents every year our admission

rate our selection rate 5% that's better than the admission rate at Harvard Yale

Princeton or Stanford and it's not a fluke you know we just recently hired a

whole new crop of honors interns so the young people coming out of college who

have lots of choices about what they want to do with their careers we have

the highest number of applicants we've ever had for our honours intern program

want to know what that admission rate was 5% I look at things like that I look

at what people think when they know us and I look at what people think when

they express their views to their actions I look at our attrition rate our

attrition rate in the Asian population the FBI is zero

8% till my view the views that matter the opinions that matter or the views of

the people who know is through a work and when I go around the country and

around the world and I talked to our partners and I talked to the victims and

I talked to people who know us our brand is doing just fine there if you could

sum up your reaction and your from having read it in one word what is that

word and and how would you describe your emotional reaction to it

disappointed not that I can think of in person is something important Jesus

report criticized them all investigation investigation shorts appeals of all

investigation can have integrity and credibility and also some people are

criticizing you for making the status by by a shared document of conference

investigative documents and so how do you respond to the criticism that you

might be making mistake right now private by sharing investigating

well I think on the on the first point I'm not going to speak for the Office of

Special Counsel I would note that there are a number of things that we've done

both in terms of referring people to OPR but also in terms of reassigning people

to try to ensure that we're bringing the right kind of integrity to staffing and

all sensitive investigations as to the congressional question my view is we

have an obligation to be responsive to legitimate congressional oversight

that's part of our job as I said at the beginning we are entrusted with enormous

power so we should expect we're gonna get tough questions and we need to be

responsive and cooperate with that but but we also have an obligation to

protect sources and methods and not to compromise ongoing criminal

investigations and to adhere to things like grand jury secrecy and things like

that so the challenge is how do we make sure we do both we're committed to

trying to do both and I think we've struck the right balance so far

well again I'm not gonna comment on any other person's opinions no matter where

they're communicated what I am gonna do is talk about the opinions that I think

matter the opinions to me that matter are the opinions of the people that are

relevant to our work day in day out all across this country we have 37,000 FBI

employees agents analysts and staff has scores and passports officers that work

with them and every day every day all around this country around the world

those people are having to make important decisions that protect lives

the opinions of the people that they have to engage with on that work those

are the opinions that matter to me that's what I'm focused on as far as the

report goes there's some sobering lessons in there and we're gonna learn

those lessons and we're gonna act on those lessons and that's the way the FBI

is always handled these things in the past and that's what made the FBI's

stronger over the last 110 good faith in their oversight efforts given that

you've created that the FBI has disagreed with some of the

characterizations of meetings and various things that have come out I

think Congress has a job to do and we have a job to do and together we're

trying to work through the various issues that are presented by the

tensions between congressional oversight and as I said earlier protection of

sources methods tradecraft ongoing investigations and things like that

we're committed to trying to work through those things from Congress yes

the people who are involved where I've been referred to OPR but can you tell us

how many have been referred to OPR as a result of this room I can't that's not a

topic I can comment on I really want to be careful I know why you're asking the

question that I respect that but it's really important to me to make sure that

we don't compound the mistakes that are found in this report by deviating from

our process and so I think it's very important that we respect the

appropriate process that it be done right as I said earlier by

the book and once that process is complete we will not hesitate to hold

people account the lessons are the importance number one the importance of

trying to make sure that we avoid even the appearance of bias in all of our

work that objectivity and the appearance of objectivity matters there's lessons

in there about contacts with the media and appropriate engagement with all of

you there's lessons in there about the appropriate uses of devices there's a

number of things in the IG has a number of I think nine recommendations at the

end and I think those are the lessons that we're trying to learn from this

report we take it very seriously and we accept the findings and the

recommendations thank you

BREAKING: President Trump Has Been Nominated For Nobel Peace Prize- Here's Who Nominated Him! - Duration: 5:01.

It's really happening folks!

Even though the Nobel Peace Prize was cheapened by the fact that Al Gore and an empty suit

like Barack Hussein Obama each have one, it looks like now the committee is trying to

make amends by awarding it to a person who actually deserves it.

Yesterday, two Norwegian MPs called for President Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

after his long-awaited summit with Noth Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

This would be the second time President Trump has been nominated.

"What's happening now is historic," Amundsen told state broadcaster NRK.

"A process is underway to ensure world peace in the future.

It's a fragile process, but we must, of course, do what we can to help this process

bring good results.

I think that we can do by sending a clear signal by giving Trump the peace prize."

Norwegian Lawmakers Christian Tybring-Gjedde and Per-Willy Amundsen who are both of the

conservative Norwegian Progress Party wrote a nominating letter calling for President

Trump to be given the award by the Norwegian Nobel Committee to support this "historic"

peace process.

The nomination letter goes on to compare Trump's actions to those of American President Theodore

Roosevelt.

Whom they note was given the prize in 1906 for his efforts to bring peace between Russia

and Japan at the end of the Russian-Japanese War.

This comes after 18 Republican lawmakers signed their names to a letter nominating Trump for

the prize.

The letter correctly stated that the president worked "tirelessly to apply maximum pressure

to North Korea to end its illicit weapons programs and bring peace to the region."

"The summit in Singapore has made US President Donald Trump "a man of peace," according

to two Norwegian parliamentary representatives (from the Frp party), and as NRK reports,

they have nominated him for the most gifted award of all of them.

Representatives Christian Tybring-Gjedde (Frp) and Per-Willy Amundsen (Frp) believe it qualifies

Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

"What's happening now is historical.

A process is underway to ensure world peace in the future.

It's a fragile process, but we must of course do what we can to help this process bring

good results.

I think that we can do by sending a clear signal by giving Trump the peace prize."

And amid all the left's dismay at just what was agreed, the two Norwegian parliamentarians,

however, do not believe that a peace-winning nomination is too early.

"It's not a binding agreement, but it's an initiative to visit both ways, it's an

initiative to end the disaster going on and to put a damper on the military exercises

the United States has with South Korea.

As such, this is a push to Donald Trump to continue what he has already started," says

Tybring-Gjedde.

"It would not be the first time giving the peace prize to anyone involved in a process.

It has happened before.

Obviously, we will follow the process carefully, but at least you have arrived, I think is

worth a peace prize, "says Amundsen.

The Norwegian nomination follows a group of 18 GOP lawmakers led by Rep. Luke Messer of

Indiana, who signed a letter formally nominating President Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize

in May.

"We can think of no one more deserving of the Committee's recognition in 2019 than

President Trump for his tireless work to bring peace to our world."

Mission Accomplished?

The Nobel Committee received peace prize nominations at Donald Trump in both 2016, 2017 and 2018.

However, this year the alarm went off, and the Nobel Institute linked the police because

they thought they had received a fake nomination for Trump.

Trump's nomination this year will be for the 2019 Nobel.

"In this situation, Trump is obviously a man of peace.

He tries to get something that others have not gotten, and when he makes it, he deserves

fame," says Tybring-Gjedde.

Amundsen adds that he thinks the summit and the agreement between Trump and Kim, go right

into Nobel's testament.

"This goes straight into the core of the Nobel testament.

It's about disarmament and about creating peace.

These are the results that count."

South Korean President Moon Jae-in has also one of the heads of state calling for Trump

to be given the prize.

Both the Norwegian and American letters of nomination are for the 2019 prize since the

2018 award period ended in February.

According to the Nobel Prize's website, a nomination is considered valid if submitted

by persons in certain categories.

Those categories include members of national assemblies and national governments of sovereign

states as well as current heads of state.

There are 330 candidates for the 2018 prize, which will be announced in October.

There is no doubt that President Trump is worthy of the prize, but the question remains,

will the committee look beyond its left-wing bias and do the right thing?

We'll just have to wait and see.

BREAKING FOX NEWS 6/14/18 | 5PM | DONALD TRUMP NEWS TODAY - June 14, 2018 - Duration: 34:23.

frightening hello everybody I'm Jesse waters along with kimberly guilfoyle

marie harf dana perino and greg gutfeld it's five o'clock in New York City and

this is the five

breaking news we are awaiting a press conference from FBI director Christopher

Rea in response to the scathing Justice Department Inspector General report

we'll bring it to you when it happens among the many new revelations the IG

report blasts former FBI director James Comey for how he handled the Hillary

Clinton email probe saying he broke protocol the White House is responding

to stunning developments the president was briefed on the IG report earlier

today and it reaffirmed the president's suspicions about commis conduct and the

political bias among some of the members of the FBI all right let's bring in

special report anchor Bret Baier Bret I'm sure you have not read the entire

thing or you probably know me please really look Jessie and we're all

printing what really jumps out at used so far from what you've seen from the

report one the big loser James Comey this haiji really goes after

the former FBI director for his decision-making to the other loser Peter

struck and Lisa page and those text messages that are that surface more of

them in this report the biggest of which will be I'm sure graphs thought upon by

President Trump and his supporters and that is seven words that's that is an

answer to a text from Lisa Paige to Peter struck Trump's never going to

become president right right and struck then responds no no he won't

we'll stop it well that in and of itself even though we don't have the full

context of what they're talking about they're just that in a vacuum will

create major fuel to to the issue of of what was happening behind the scenes the

the other thing though to note is that overall at 30,000 feet the IG says that

they couldn't document political bias within the FBI on the decisions made

early in the Clinton email case it does raise questions though about the bias

that they did find and how that affects the case after

July when the FBI director Comey comes out with that bad news statement yeah

and it seems like the report really tees up the next IG report about the Russia

investigation especially off of these new page struck texts let's take it

around the table kimberly guilfoyle alright so you know brett i think there

was a lot of you know people saying there's gonna be significant evidence in

here it's obviously quite voluminous but in terms of the level of discussion that

preceded this do you think that the takeaway what you're hearing from behind

the scenes is that this was something that they over promised under-delivered

or how would you characterize it yeah i think first of all depending on your

political point of view I'm just talking pure politics you'll look at this and

and there'll be people who say oh it's a nothing burger and though the other

people who say it's really chock-full of damning things I think what you'll hear

from the FBI director Chris Rea is that this is a big problem within the FBI and

they're going to probably announce some kind of actions that they're taking if

you look at trey Gowdy and what he put out in this in this statement that he

put out he says he's alarmed angered and deeply disappointed and goes on to

detail in pretty scathing terms what he sees and he's a guy who's defended the

FBI even in the most recent Spygate stuff well Juan Williams took a really

good day to take off and we have Marie harf

in his place let me take it away hi Brett well Jim Comey already responded

in a New York Times op-ed where he endorsed the I G's efforts but said he

disagreed with some of the findings in it what do you think's next for Jim

Comey does he keep speaking out does he go quiet is he investigated further by

DOJ what happens for him next I bet you he kind of goes into the night it's

interesting that he's out of the country at the time the IG report is coming out

he obviously made his rounds on the media including on special report he

made the book tour he kind of laid the groundwork for his defense and obviously

has this letter to the New York Times but the stuff in here suggests that you

know he made some big mistakes in the eyes of the instructor general of the

Justice Department and and no matter if you look at it from

a clinton perspective that that there are folks who think he costs hillary

clinton the election or a trump perspective and how he dealt with the

president Trump after the after the election I mean he took it on the chin I

mean they said he committed serious violations of FBI policy and processed

and then damaged the credibility of the investigation and the institution itself

so pretty tough stuff coming out of the IG report Dan well Brett James Comey

statement in reaction to this right away but first a tweet and then an op-ed in

The New York Times he says look I respect the IG I think they did a great

work here reasonable people can disagree so he's moving on now the struts

attorney he did put out a statement as well but he didn't address these text

messages and I'm curious if you think that that might happen and then my other

question is Michael Horowitz the inspector general had a lot of

bipartisan support lots of credibility across

administration's congressman Ratcliffe said today that he has read the report

he's been briefed on it and he still maintains confidence in Michael Horowitz

which I guess means that this next IG report which is on the actual Clinton

emails themselves and that investigation would at least have some credibility

yeah and I think these are questions that I'm going to ask chairman Gowdy and

Goodlett and they'll be on in the next hour on special report I think that

there is a lot here that tees up as Jesse mentioned the next iteration of

the AG's efforts and the second text the part that says no no he won't be

President we'll stop it that was just released last in the past few days weeks

and the first part where the quotient has asked will he be President was

released but the second part was not you know that tells you something about

transparency and where this document back-and-forth is going up with Capitol

Hill and an oversight I think to your point people will look at this and there

will be Republicans who look at it and say it just didn't deliver and I think

others will look at it and say there's a lot in here yet to be mined okay now

from the fives inspector general yes Greg Gutfeld

this is a stunning read bread it's blowing my mind hey I heard a rumor that

the FBI is gonna change their name to fw beef feds with benefits is that true

there's there is a section yeah a report that deals specifically with that about

tickets from media organizations and invites to golf outings yes yes I do

have a serious question there was a part there where we found out that Comey used

his private email to conduct I think it was non classified business which may be

why he couldn't damn Hillary for doing the same thing because it's like

mutually assured destruction everybody's guilty of doing the same thing could

that be part of the reason why he decided not to proceed further I tell

you what these you're trying to be funny but these are really good nuggets of the

report that had not been kind of put out there Comey is using a private email

even though it's unclassified to deal with the email investigation of Hillary

Clinton and the IG says that's not a good thing I've got the guts Feld

diaries over here you're on page 70 job with the interview the other day the

president yeah Andy will be looking forward to 6:00 p.m. for another great

special report all right see you guys all right Kimberly like we talked about

some of these nuggets that are coming out and it's gonna take probably another

24 hours to get all of them her emails were penetrated by a foreign agent and

that we really didn't know because Comey himself said it was possible that that

happened and now we learned that it actually did happen and one of those

emails was considered secret which means disclosure of that email reasonably

could be expected to cause serious damage to the national security of the

United States yeah I think this is significant because the match was made

at the time oh well it's possible but there was no nailing it down but

obviously they knew and we're not honest about it and essentially what I call

that as a cover up like why if you knew that in fact that they had been

penetrated and they have been red etc via access by a foreign agent that is

significant it is a security breach of the highest order and something that is

very disconcerting for us for national security but there you go

Hillary Clinton the rules of law do not apply it to her or to mr. Comey birds of

a feather flocking together right another weasel move by the director

Murray some of the nuggets that I'm really interested deal with struck

because they keep coming we'll stop it meaning will stop the trump presidency

when you pair that with they need to protect the country from Donald Trump

and we need an insurance policy in case he is elected and now FBI agents are

calling Trump supporters retarded at least five FBI agents exchanging anti

Trump Pro Hillary text messages the IG says there was willingness to take

official action to impact Trump's electoral prospects that sounds pretty

serious to me it says and I think they demonstrated incredibly bad judgment but

the IG also found that there was no evidence that political bias or improper

motivation affected the Hillary email investigation so what I've always said

is these people should not have been doing this it was stupid it looks bad

and the IG actually found that that it looked bad it called into question the

investigations impartiality but there's no evidence that their personal views

impacted it because they're not dumb enough to leave the paper trail you and

a lot of folks on the conservative side have been waiting for this report and

basically putting a lot of faith in what comes out of it they found it very

clearly I think so I think we've been downplaying he said it was probably

gonna be a well-know a big air ball go ahead I think I think it's important

this is selective history fake news I think that it's important that they did

not find evidence that the political bias impacted the investigation they

also found that they had no way no ability to prosecute Hillary Clinton

under the five statutes they examined so I'm not an attorney but the Department

of Justice looked into the question that that a lot of

Republicans and Trump supporters keep bringing up and found in fact that they

did the right thing that's actually not true what what the IG report says Dana

is that witnesses meaning prosecutors at the DOJ are FBI investigators didn't

think that this would be a prosecutable case it doesn't mean the IG concluded

that that was the fact that just meant some attorneys disagree well and to

further that I think one of the things call me did was so they the IG says

insubordinate insubordination but who did that really benefit right I said it

Loretta Lynch who was the Attorney General because he then took it out of

her hands for making a charging decision that I'm sure President Obama and

Loretta Lynch did not want to do to their nominee of course if this gets me

back to the original point of how do we even know any of this why have we spent

so much time and so much money on all of this and it goes back to Hillary

Clinton's decision yeah to subvert the process to have her own email system to

have a private server and we are so that was in 2015 her epic kind of mine is

2015 500 pages it's why doesn't she pray she should you might say is that at

least she uncovered this you know the struck and page email situation and

their bias against the president I've been looking backwards for a long

time on the show we I remember we said I was I don't know when it was its which

II was like talking about gender we kept it's not about the female it's about the

email right that's what we kept saying I points show this yes it is like the

white oh it's it also it how amazing it must be to be Anthony Weiner he might be

one of the few people who's happy he's in jail because the fact is if it wasn't

for his laptop and his lap I Trump would have been elected and guilty I mean he

kept we should be thanking Anthony Weiner

he kept Hillary out of office that's really about him in Houma but I was

there they are also it is amazing again this is more evidence that Donald Trump

can turn people into emotional high school freshman struck in Paige they

were like the characters in the David Bowie song heroes

you know they're up against the wall they're fighting the only two men there

- they're gonna stop Trump and do anything they can it was so deeply

emotional for them they were like they were like star-crossed lovers in a in a

romantic song I want one final point starlets liberal exactly god I think

it's weird timing that the day that this report comes out but the media gets a

gift in this state of New York suing Trump over the Trump foundation it's

incredibly well played it's be a coincidence

no it's not it's it's it's party and media working and in the hands and it's

it's and it's just to me just so obvious and wrong it is and to go to jail about

Carlos danger they found that they sat on these emails for I think a month and

Strock was behind those slow walking those up to James Comey Me's office yeah

it's when you say this is really sad isn't it though you know we read this

and you become almost desensitized but this is really egregious you're talking

about you know the FBI that is you know held to the highest regard in terms of

justice and supposed to be truth seeking in fact finding without any ideological

bent and you see people here that we're only hell-bent on undermining the term

campaign and preventing a presidency you see a candidate in Hillary Clinton that

completely just disregarded the law destruction of evidence and really just

creating a situation that undermines the confidence not only in our political

process and campaigns and elections but in our highest investigatory agencies

and what you're seeing here is a modified redacted report by Ron

Rosenstein who was allowed to do this and he's actually in the middle of all

that so how is this you know coming out of clean hands we actually don't know

what all the evidence is because some of it has been removed well and I think

some members of Congress are trying to request the original documents before

they were changed or allowed to have been looked at by other people

all right we're breaking developments on the DOJ is IG report coming right up and

we're also awaiting the FBI's press conference at 5:30 we're gonna have that

for you live plus watch this White House reporter here

screaming at press secretary Sarah Sanders over immigration packed our of

the five don't go a day after president chomp labels fake news the enemy of the

country White House reporter Brian Karen loses it on press secretary Sarah

Sanders over separating undocumented children from their parents take a look

at this tense moment come on Sarah you're a parent don't you have any

empathy for what these people are going through they have less dry trying to be

serious but I'm not gonna have you yell out at firm Jill please Allah and and

they have these people have nothing hey Ron I know you want to get some more TV

it's a serious question these people have nothing they come to the border

with children and children oh my goodness alright so getting a little

intense there are greg in the press briefing

room so what do you make of I was waiting for him to throw a shoe but

judging from his judging from his apparel I don't think he wears them

he's the Press Club hobo all he needs is a little bindle you know where the

little bindle the hobos used to have yeah we were always told that Trump it's

true there was never anything you could put in the bingo it's true uh they

always said that Donald Trump would be a terrible influence on his side the

Republicans and their half right he's he's been a terrible influence on the

media now because they think they judge Trump's behavior and say that it you can

say and do whatever you want now and including being a complete jackass which

he was that was a purely and emotional and a dishonest response on his part

their kids are not being held in cages maybe you saw that as a meme on Twitter

but that's not reporting strange man there's no policy about family

separation just so happens if you're gonna put you're gonna do with the

parents you got to get the kids away and they're trying to get him to a relative

a living relative or a friend in United States that's what they're trying to

here well they're not putting him in cages in nut bag sorry any other

though I hope he does that shoes all right yeah everybody should everybody

should have shoes okay they approach you you like big shoes and a fan of

elisabeth shue should we move on let's go to some common sense and children

being separate from their parents is one that you can go through all of the

policy points and there it's quite logical you can see the the laws the

executive orders how HHS Health and Human Services and DHS Department of

Homeland Security tries to deal with this issue but there's also as Greg's

talked about there's the emotional part of it and it is strong and you have it

running rampant I do think the White House needs to get in front of this a

little bit because that among it wasn't just being a jerk that people are like

are you kidding me you are ripping babies out of the arms of their mothers

and this is crazy and just to say like you're ridiculous that's fake news I

actually think that online in particular this is spreading quite rapidly but with

you're using false pictures I mean I think that your point that the president

needs to give a speech yes eight Baptists it should be on the

teleprompter or whatever it should be a detailed speech about what he is for

what he is not for and he's signaled that he's willing to go for this new

compromise that the House Republicans have come up with it actually you know

it could pass and that would be very good but the other thing is again I go

to the root cause the drug cartels are really fueling this they have figured

out a way to make a nice little bit of side money becomes not just like on the

money they're like oh we could get money by getting like your life savings and

he'll give it to me and I'll tell you how to go in the coyotes send the people

there and that's what's actually the pots the problem like we have to deal

with the root cause of it and deal with the fact that we have some people here

that need to be taken care of and returned to their home how dare you call

them coyotes yeah I think why you charge about five grand a head at the border

right these families get a discount and how do you know if they're even related

when some guy brings over some young kid you don't know I don't know if they're

being trafficked so you want to keep separating they're trying to do what's

best for the kids also deter people from bringing people across the border you

know what's a great deterrent you don't never have to separate a family at the

border a wall how about just building a wall there

won't be people coming across you would have to separate anybody

this guy is an emotional wreck he embarrassed himself he doesn't belong in

that room it's like a Kosta I don't care if you have opinions like that be an

analyst go debate it on CNN in primetime but don't pretend to be a nonpartisan

correspondent and then melt down like that and embarrass your integrity these

people don't belong there their jokes they start need the ripping press passes

away you're gonna act like a wild animal and you don't belong there and if that

was a Republican conservative reporter yelling at a female deputy press

secretary we have 45 so I think the data is absolutely right it is a very

emotional issue and I do think that Sarah Sanders needs a better answer than

to ignore it she needs to think about it and talk about it and a need to give her

a better face and then the president needs to take charge of it and do what

greg has I think Sarah Sanders just needs they they need they owe her better

at the White House a bit better that is right all right okay no personal attacks

not nice we're minutes away from the FBI's response to the DOJ watchdog

reports stay with us Hunnic catherine herridge is that the Justice Department

with the latest Catherine I haven't talked to you in a couple of hours it's

London to check back in with you and get your thoughts now we are at 5:30 right

before this press conference that the FBI is going to hold it's right that's

right Dana and thank you this is the five hundred page report it was 17

months in the making and there are a handful of key takeaways number one for

FBI director James Comey the Inspector General found that when he gave a

statement in July 2016 about the Clinton email case and when he recommended

against criminal charges the Inspector General found that that was

insubordination that he had gone outside the chain of command

he had not notified his leadership attorney general Loretta Lynch for

deputy Sally Yates and that when he made that decision it was not really his to

make that should have fallen to the Justice Department number two these text

messages between FBI agent Peter struck and FBI lawyer ELISA page this really

hung like a cloud over the Clinton email investigation the Inspector General

found that there was no documented evidence that political bias infected

the Clinton email investigation so in other words that it changed the steps

that they took in the investigation prior to commis statement in July 2016

but just last month a new text message was uncovered between struck and page

where they talked about stopping Donald Trump and the Inspector General said

that in the latter stages of the email case agent struck made the priority the

Russia investigation and not the Clinton emails and that explained why there was

such a delay to go through newly discovered emails that have been found

in late September on Anthony Weiner's laptop that he shared with his wife

Clinton aide Wilma Aberdeen on Attorney General Loretta Lynch the Inspector

General found that she showed bad judgment when she met with Bill Clinton

on that Arizona tarmac in June of 2016 and that she clearly did not understand

the implications and sort of the bad optics it would have not only for the

public confidence in the Justice Department and FBI but also for the

integrity of the email investigation Dana we're about 45 seconds away from

the press conference we've gotten word that they're almost ready can you tell

me anything more about what Peter Struck's lawyer said today and if we'll

hear anything more from him especially about that most right seemingly damning

text message okay so Peters trucks lawyers position is that any delay in

the final stages of the Clinton email investigation was down to just basic

miscommunications between struck deputy FBI director Andrew McCain

and director james comey it was not because I go by you and turn it over to

Chris Rae the FBI director wearing everybody thanks for being here on such

short notice as you all know of course the Justice Department's Office of the

Inspector General issued its report today about DOJ and FBI activity in the

run-up to the 2016 election let me say up front I appreciate the Inspector

General's work on this important review I want to take a few minutes to talk

about the report and then I'm happy to take a few questions

the FBI's mission is to protect the American people and uphold the

Constitution but to carry out that mission were entrusted with a lot of

authority so our actions are subject to close oversight from the courts from our

elected leaders and from independent entities like inspector general and

that's how it should be that kind of examination that kind of oversight makes

the FBI's stronger as an organization and makes the public more safe with that

mind let me briefly address the findings in the inspector general's report I take

this report very seriously and we accept its findings and recommendations it's

also important though to note what the inspector general did not find this

report did not find any evidence of political bias for improper

considerations actually impacting the investigations under review the report

does identify errors of judgment violations of or even disregard for

policy and decisions that at the very least with the benefit of hindsight

we're not the best choices we've already started taking the necessary steps to

address those issues first we're gonna hold employees accountable for any

potential misconduct we've already referred

I'm doc highlighted in the report to our disciplinary arm OPR which is the FBI's

independent Office of Professional Responsibility we need to hold ourselves

accountable for the choices we make and the work we do we're doing that fairly

but without delay in the way that people should expect we're going to adhere to

the appropriate disciplinary process and once that process is complete we won't

hesitate to hold people accountable for their actions

second we're gonna make sure that every FBI employee understands the lessons of

this report because change starts at the top starts with me we're gonna require

all of our senior executives from all around the world to convene for in-depth

training specifically focus on learning the lessons that we should learn on this

report then we're gonna train every single FBI employee both new hires and

veterans alike on what went wrong so these mistakes will never be repeated

third we're gonna make sure that we have the policies the procedures and the

training that are needed for everyone to understand and remember what is expected

of all of us that includes drilling home the importance of objectivity of

avoiding even the appearance of personal conflicts or political bias in our work

ensuring that recusal x' are handled correctly and effectively and

communicated to all the right people making all of our employees fully aware

of our new policy on media contacts which I used last November and making

painfully clear that we will not tolerate non-compliant ensuring that we

follow all DOJ policies on public statements

about uncharged conduct or ongoing investigations and ensuring that our

employees adhere strictly to all policies and procedures about the use of

FBI systems networks and devices I've also directed our associate Deputy

Director to lead a review of how the FBI handles sensitive investigations and to

make recommendations on how those should be staffed structured and supervised in

the future so that every sensitive investigation is conducted to the FBI's

highest standards we're gonna continue also to work with the department to

gauge our progress in each of these areas the OIG report makes clear that

we've got some work to do but let's also be clear on the scope of this report

it's focused on a specific set of events back in 2016 in a small number of FBI

employees connected to those events nothing nothing in this report impugns

the integrity of our workforce as a whole or the FBI as an institution as I

said earlier fair and independent scrutiny is welcome an appropriate

accountability is crucial we're gonna learn from this report and we're gonna

be better and stronger as a result but I also want to be crystal clear about the

FBI that I get to see in the past ten months I've been able to visit over 30

of our FBI field offices around the country and a whole bunch of our league

at offices overseas I visited with folks from every FBI Division at headquarters

and in office after office meeting after meeting I see extraordinary people doing

extraordinary work again and again I hear remarkable stories frankly

inspiring stories about the work the men and women of the FBI are doing to

protect the American people and uphold the Constitution

in the past several months we've disrupted terrorist attacks in places

ranging from the Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco to a crowded shopping mall

in Miami in March we charged a ring of Iranian state-sponsored hackers with

stealing terabytes of data from scores of American companies universities and

government agencies in Austin we deplored more than 600 of our people to

assist in the investigation of the package bombings down there

this year alone we've rescued one thousand three hundred and five kids

from child predators some of them as young as seven months old we've arrested

more than 4,600 gang members violent gang members in just the past several

months our FBI lab has closed thousands of cases through fingerprint analysis

and DNA analysis and our hostage rescue team has deployed something like 27

different times on missions around the country I could go on and on the FBI's

men and women are doing all that work with the unfailing fidelity to the

Constitution and the laws that it demands the bravery that it calls for

and the integrity that the American people rightly expect as FBI director

I'm laser focused on ensuring that our folks get to continue that great work

and do it with the fidelity and bravery and integrity that we've always had as

I've been saying since as far back as my confirmation hearing I'm a huge believer

in the importance of process of doing this job by the book in every respect

and I expect all our employees to do the same I've tried to emphasize that at

every opportunity in my view the FBI's brand over the past 110 years

is based less on all of our many many successes than it is on the way in which

we've earned those successes following our rule

following the law following our guidelines staying faithful to our core

values and our best traditions trying to make sure we're doing the right thing

but to doing it in the right way treating everybody with respect and

following the facts independently and objectively no matter who likes it that

is the best way that in my view is the only way to maintain trust and

credibility with the people we serve I appreciate this chance to respond to

the IGS report and I would also refer you for more detail in our written

response that's attached at the end of the spectrums report and with that I'm

happy to take a few questions the killer that singled out and the report has been

referred to OPI which what are you referring to in particular I can't

comment on any specific personnel matter I would just say that there are a number

of instances in the report where there's conduct that's highlighted we've had

that referred to are as I say our disciplinary arm our OPR there's a

process for that it's a tough process it's a rigorous process and we expect

that process to be followed and once that process is complete we won't

hesitate to hold people accountable

just to follow on that and any can talk about the specific kind of security to

say that they're combing these in agent Peters truck is always perfect

✅ Strzok, Page Texts: 'We'll Stop' Trump From Being President - Duration: 4:00.

FBI agent Peter Strzok texted fellow bureau official Lisa Page in August 2016 that "we'll stop" Donald Trump from ever becoming president, according to the newly released Justice Department inspector general's report

The report said Page texted Strzok, "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!"  "No. No he won't. We'll stop it," Strzok responded

"We were deeply troubled by text messages sent by Strzok and Page that potentially indicated or created the appearance that investigative decisions were impacted by bias or improper considerations," the report stated

TRENDING: Trump To Leave Summit Early, Nuclear Talks Moving 'More Quickly Than Expected'  Further, the Strzok text "is not only indicative of a biased state of mind but, even more seriously, implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate's electoral prospects

" Advertisement – story continues below  Republican lawmakers condemned the sentiments in the texts by FBI officials who are supposed to impartially enforce the nation's laws

"In Louisiana, we call that bias, we don't call that objective," Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., told Fox News on Thursday.  House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S

C., said in a statement that the report shows "an alarming and destructive level of animus displayed by top officials at the FBI

" Do you think Strzok and Page should face criminal charges?  "Peter Strzok's manifest bias trending toward animus casts a pall on this investigation … His bias impacted his decision making and he assigned to himself the role of stopping the Trump campaign or ending a Trump Presidency," Gowdy said

The former federal prosecutor added: "This is not the FBI I know."  In texts released by the inspector general in December, Strzok described Trump as a "loathsome human" and an "idiot," and found the prospect of him being president "terrifying

" Advertisement – story continues below  Page, his then mistress, responded, "There is no way he gets elected."  Strzok fired back: "I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office …that there's no way he gets elected — but I'm afraid we can't take that risk

It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you're 40."   RELATED: Dick Morris: IG Report Cuts Ground Out from Under Mueller  Andy apparently referred to then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who served under former FBI Director James Comey

JUST IN Trump Put All Gov't Workers On 30 Day Notice With Sudden Executive Order Overnight - Duration: 10:02.

JUST IN Trump Put All Gov't Workers On 30 Day Notice With Sudden Executive Order Overnight

President Trump has just issued a series of executive orders that potentially gut federal

employee unions' ability to negotiate with agency leaders and represent workers, as well

as reducing the time it takes for an agency to fire people for poor performance or misconduct.

I view this as a very good thing.

For far too long, government employees have felt safe from repercussions for not working

or for misbehaving.

This puts an end to that.

It looks like President Trump has had it with slackers in the federal government and he's

fixing that.

Shape up or ship out.

Trump is billing this as the first step toward broad civil service reform.

Three executive orders were issued that are aimed at making it easier to fire poor performers

and it orders harsher treatment of union representatives.

This step is long overdue and it will go a long way to eradicating corruption in the

government ranks.

It also sets the powerful unions back on their heels.

They will no longer operate like the mafia within our government.

"Today, the President is fulfilling his promise to promote a more efficient government

by reforming civil service rules," said Andrew Bremberg, director of the President's

Domestic Policy Council.

"Every year, the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey shows that less than one-third of federal

employees believe poor performers are adequately addressed by their agency.

These executive orders make it easier to remove poor performing employees, and ensure that

taxpayer dollars are more efficiently used."

The first thing on the agenda is reducing the time it takes to fire poor performers

and employees suspected of misconduct by standardizing the length of Performance Improvement Plans

to 30 days across the federal government.

Right now it varies agency to agency and takes somewhere between 60 and 120 days usually.

"A GAO report shows that it takes six months to a year to remove someone from government,

and can often take another nine months on appeal," an official said.

"[This] also encourages agencies to fire someone for misconduct when they've been

engaged in behavior that warrants it, instead of just suspending them."

Talk about cleaning house.

The official said the administration would also make performance a more important factor

than seniority when agencies undertake layoffs.

According to DML News:

"The second executive order directs federal agencies to renegotiate contracts with unions

representing government employees so as to reduce waste.

The anonymous administration official expressed hope that, for example, agencies could stop

having to pay expenses on both sides when unions undertake appeals on behalf of fired

workers."

"The third order aims to cut down on "official time," in which government workers who have

roles in the union, like helping colleagues file grievances, are allowed to perform those

roles during normal working hours for which they draw their usual salary.

(An analogous concept exists for private-sector unions.)

The order limits official time to 25 percent of their hours during the year."

Administration officials said they estimate the changes to labor relations policies could

save "at least" $100 million in taxpayer money.

That's very good news.

When asked about potential increased costs as a result of the decrease in official time,

which is often used to mitigate disputes before a grievance or civil litigation is filed,

an official claimed such actions would actually decrease.

Again… winning.

"Litigations and grievances, we expect those to be reduced quite substantially, although

our cost savings estimate doesn't factor that in," the official said.

"Once those are factored in, the savings would only be increased, not decreased."

And boy howdy, the unions are ticked over this.

American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox said in a

statement that the executive orders are a "direct assault" on union members' legal

rights.

"This is more than union busting—it's democracy busting," he said.

"President Trump's executive orders do nothing to help federal workers do their jobs

better.

In fact, they do the opposite by depriving workers of their rights to address and resolve

workplace issues such as sexual harassment, racial discrimination, retaliation against

whistleblowers, improving workplace health and safety, enforcing reasonable accommodations

for workers with disabilities, and so much more."

Someone get that guy a tissue.

Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) praised the move in a statement, calling it an important step

toward a more effective federal government."The hallmark of the American civil service is

our commitment to hire the best and the brightest to serve our fellow Americans," he said.

"These executive orders strive to make the federal government more efficient, not only

for the taxpayer, but for our great federal workers.

We have thousands of federal employees who work very hard for the nation; it's important

that their work is not frustrated by the poor performance of a small few."

That's exactly right.

Hire the best and fire those who do not do their jobs.

In a call with the media, AFGE officials said the union will consider all possible actions

to fight the executive orders, including litigation.

"My lawyers are already looking at what possible violations of the law are contained

within the executive orders, and we will take action accordingly," said AFGE General Counsel

David Borer.

"We haven't seen the final version yet, but we're preparing our analysis and we

will respond aggressively."

Tony Reardon, national president of the National Treasury Employees Union, said in a statement

said the executive order is not only an assault on unions but on "the nation's civil service

laws.

Rather than promote efficiency in the federal sector, the administration is demanding federal

workers lose their ability to challenge unfair, arbitrary and discriminatory firings and other

actions.

This would begin the process of dismantling the merit system that governs our civil service."

No sir, this begins a system that requires government employees to be responsible not

only for their work but their actions.

It's part of the Trump Doctrine and a welcome change.

Ted Cruz Just Gave Trump A Big Unexpected Birthday Gift That's Huge For America And Libs Will Hate - Duration: 4:52.

Ted Cruz Just Gave Trump A Big Unexpected Birthday Gift That's Huge For America And

Libs Will Hate

President Trump got a nice early birthday present from Ted Cruz.

It was something unexpected from the former competitor who tried to take down Trump for

the top spot on the Republican card of the 2016 election.

Cruz wasn't successful in outing Trump to square up against Hillary Clinton, but Cruz

took his defeat with his head held high.

He's not sending praise towards Trump for multiple "wins" that Donald has accomplished.

The DCNF reported that Cruz was talking at the 2018 Road to Majority conference and that's

when he started speaking about Trump's victories in terms of faith, family, and life.

Ted Cruz has had his fair share of victories, limelight, and media coverage, but it was

very unexpected to see his conversation go from one topic over to President Trump and

the accomplishments.

There are some people who favor Cruz over Trump, or Trump over Cruz, and some people

who like both.

Trump's supporters likely found it wonderful that the Texas senator was speaking so highly

of President Trump and his administration.

That type of support is important because accomplishments should be acknowledged, regardless

of which party people represent.

In this case, it's one top Republican praising the president and that's how it should be.

Acknowledgement of accomplishments is important and supportive and Ted Cruz just showed what

he's capable of.

The DCNF wrote: "Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas praised

the Trump administration Thursday for seven major victories he said it accomplished "for

faith, for family — for the values that we share."

Cruz made the remarks at the 2018 Road to Majority conference hosted by the Faith & Freedom

Coalition.

He lauded the current presidential administration for making significant advances for the protection

of religious liberty, individual rights concerning education and family, the defense of the unborn

and foreign policy that reversed Obama-era deals.

"Let's start with number one — judges," Cruz said.

"Principled, constitutionalist judges."

Cruz mentioned the Trump administration's victory concerning the nation's courts with

the appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch, as well as the Supreme Court's recent ruling

in the Colorado bakery case.

"The so-called Colorado civil rights commission demonstrated an antipathy, an animosity to

faith that was visceral," Cruz said.

The Supreme Court, however, ruled that "you cannot discriminate against religious faith,"

Cruz said, instead of ruling they must be forced to violate their consciences.

"That is not narrow," Cruz added.

"That is a bedrock principle of our First Amendment and of our nation."

"A second victory concerns life," Cruz continued, lauding the Trump administration's

"return of the Mexico City rules," which prevented the U.S. from providing foreign

aid to fund abortions in other countries.

Other facets of the administration's victory for life, according to Cruz, include the new

Health and Human Services rules preventing tax funding for health clinics that provide

abortions, as well as the dismissal of the litigation against the Little Sisters of the

Poor and the repeal of the "abhorrent so-called contraceptive mandate in Obamacare."

"Here's a really good rule of thumb," Cruz said.

"If you're litigating against nuns, you've probably done something wrong.

It's a wonderfully reliable checklist."

The third victory for Cruz was the historic tax cut Congress passed in December, which

he said provided more money for the majority of American citizens by "cutting taxes on

small businesses, cutting taxes on farmers, cutting taxes on families."

Cruz then advocated for the implementation of a flat tax and declared Americans "should

abolish the IRS."

The Trump administration scored a fourth victory, according to Cruz, with the repeal of the

Obamacare individual mandate.

He acknowledged, however, that the repeal of the Affordable Care Act was "the Republican

Party's biggest unkept promise" and urged the party to keep fighting for that outcome.

(RELATED: Trump Rings In 500 Days In Office)

The final three victories Cruz said the Trump administration achieved for the nation and

its values were the passage of "school choice" legislation, Trump's decision to move the

U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and Trump's "right decision to withdraw from the disastrous

Obama Iran nuclear deal."

Cruz listed off seven major victories that he seemed to appreciate.

If he finds them to be worthy of mentioning and supporting, then many Americans might

feel the same way, especially if the victories are beneficial to as many people as possible.

Trump and his team have constantly worked hard towards making better decisions that

put America first.

Some of Trump's critics have bashed him with a barrage of babbling nonsense, but he

and his team push through the generic mess created by the mainstream media and those

who despise him.

Some of Trump's biggest critics seem to spend too much time being part of the problem

instead of joining forces to become part of the solution.

awaits the potential bombshell report from the IG and the Clinton email matter

so we're watching both we're waiting for both and when they get underway we'll

bring it to you live from Washington 27 now past the hour Sandra all right bill

thank you well the a team is back Jessica Tarlov Judge Andrew Napolitano

and Charlie hurt we are all looking down because we are all getting some

information based on a report out from Bloomberg a few moments ago that former

FBI director James Kofi Comey deviated from FBI and Justice Department

procedures in the handling of the email investigation into Hillary Clinton the

Inspector General report their reporting says Comey damaged quote the perception

of the FBI and the department as fair administrators of justice judge you've

had a chance to run through this report your thoughts as we are still awaiting

the official release of this IG report I have seen what the rest of us have which

are excerpts so this is Fox Alert you're coming up my iPhone which are excerpts

of the report which the Bloomberg News says are accurate and Fox News has not

confirmed that but if these are accurate they basically take Jim Comey to task

for violating internal DOJ Department of Justice regulations not for political

bias and certainly not for any criminal activity now again this is one paragraph

from 500 pages so what this refers to is this how did he violate DOJ policy by

standing in front of the microphone

but here's everything she did wrong I want to ask the a-team to hold on for a

second we're gonna go to bread breath bear fresh off his interview last night

with the president joining us now he's the anchor of special report Bret thank

you for being here I want to first ask you about this report it is just out and

it reveals and this is Bloomberg reporting that James Comey broke from

FBI procedures in the Clinton email investigation and this is what we were

expected to see in this IG report that's supposed to be out any minute or any

hour from now yeah Sandra Catherine Herridge is is

getting some of this as well and she's gotten a piece of that as well as the

concerns that they have about how this all came out step-by-step and what the

FBI's role was I think as we get the details of this pretty long report in

the next couple of hours will be as the judge said digesting what it means and

whether there were illegalities in other words whether there is a recommendation

to go forward you're going to see the IG up on Capitol Hill answering questions

tonight on special report will have chairman Gowdy and Goodlatte on to

digest the IG report in detail hey Brett how do you explain and again we're

digging through this report and and in it it says that while we did not find

that these decisions were the result of political bias on commis part and this

is what the judge pointed out we nevertheless concluded that by departing

so clearly and dramatically from FBI in department norms the decisions

negatively impacted the perception of the FBI in the department as fair

administrators of justice this is what the Inspector General apparently says in

this reports conclusions and that is really the big question why the American

people are so highly anticipating this report to find out if it is true that

bias exists as such high levels of the FBI or at least did yeah I think that's

the biggest question and commis role is obviously going to be center to a lot of

this in this report we're told it says that he was not at the role of

prosecutor he was the role of FBI director and yet he was playing the role

of prosecutor by determining should and should not go forward you

know I pressed him about some of that on that interview in which he was here in

studio about his book and he kind of dismissed the the fact that the IG even

though he'd talked to him didn't think that there was going to be anything or

much to it that said we could see a lot of substance here in the next few

minutes I want to bring in Bill Hemmer he is that unlock Island following the

US Open but he wants to get in on the conversation as well Brett yeah waiting

for you to come out here Brett the meantime though you mentioned that

interview with James Comey you also had interviewed the president on the way

back in Air Force one at a Singapore now with regard to North Korea what was your

sense coming out of Singapore and on that plane when when you look at Mike

Pompeo in Seoul South Korea yesterday he's in Beijing China today they had a

plan in which they were going to enact coming out of Singapore what is their

expectation for that either days or weeks to figure out whether or not the

plan they had on paper can be can be can be carried out yeah bill I think that

there's a little cleanup as far as the messaging after the the original meeting

you know that the fact that the president came out and said the North

Korean threat is over in a tweet needed to be cleaned up by Secretary of State

Pompeo obviously they haven't the North Koreans haven't given up anything as far

as tangible weapons or or actual material they have pledged to do that

and to start this process that maybe several different meetings down the road

I think that that's one of the things that they're calibrating now the

interview with the president he's pretty confident that Kim is committed to this

and seems to believe that they've started this process and it's it's

legitimate and when he refers back to his relationship what was your sense

about really what this relationship is all about now where do you think it is

an open channel of communication I mean is is this two men meeting for the first

time and and giving more than a handshake when they depart yeah they

said that the president told me that they've been meeting for three to four

months people inside the administration the North Koreans to set up this one

summit he suggested that his time Kim they connected he it was interesting

the exchange on human rights about appreciating his strength and I can

oppressed him on that that issue about Kim's past my sense is that the

President sees a lot of this stuff is messy and none of its going to be easy

or clean but if you want to get to the end point you're gonna have to work

around some of this history together and that was the sense I got from his

answers with you in that interview is that that I think that's right believe

no I agree and he believes that that listen it's a start of a process it may

take some time and also says that you know it's possible that it may not work

out and if it doesn't they will go back and pull everything off the table that

was offered and go back to status quo and a different pressure situation than

they had before and you also asked about Vladimir Putin on board Air Force one as

well and there is some rumblings that there could be a summit with the

Russians do you have any more intel on that as to whether or not the Putin

Trump issue is about to happen I think it will bill I mean I'm being told that

there are that there have been talks there have been telephone conversations

when and what sets that up and what are the stipulations and the expectations

for that summit or meeting we'll see but it seems that this personal diplomacy is

a thing that President Trump really enjoys yeah just one last thing on this

North Korea matter because you got to suspend some time with him you've been

looking for this interview for some time and and you got it and I just well what

was your sense of how he was or how did he feel like the wind was at his back

literally coming out of Singapore how would you frame that here he is walking

up the stairs and Air Force One this came together very quickly we have been

pressing to see if it was going to happen they said if you can get over

here at Air Force One we'll make something happen we obviously took them

up on that opportunity and he did have the wind at his back he felt like the

summit went very well in his mind it was an accomplishment on the world stage

I think there are a lot of questions about the substance the verification

what happens going forward but there was a confidence and he exudes that when he

talks about things sometimes you know the follow-up questions led lead to

other questions but it was an honor to finally finally sit down a bit yeah

great great stuff and great to see again hope to see you out here before the

weekend okay inside yeah that Sandra's got a bit but Sanders got a little more

for you right now great stuff in bread I wanted to ask you about the moment where

you asked the president following this summit where he thinks things stand for

the midterm elections will watch this together do you think the North Korea

this few days here has changed the dynamic in the midterm elections and

today where do you think the midterm elections in your head are so Brett I

saw a new show and I've seen 120 days ago we were down 16 points now

I see you Reuters has us up two and another one was up six and when it was

down three I think it's a whole different ballgame I think the economy

is so good I think the tax cuts have been incredible far greater than even I

thought they'd be the regulation cuts have been great me I've done more in 500

days than any president has ever done in their first 500 days history is against

me because history up for whatever reason you win the election and then

you'll lose lots of seats I think we're gonna do very well

I really do I think the economy is doing so well we're doing so well as a nation

I think we're gonna surprise people sounds like the economy is still the

message heading into the minute yeah I mean I think that will be and they're

going to hammer that home and that where the economy sits and how people feel

about you know where they are and they're their own personal financial

situation is going to affect the midterms obviously but there is this

growing confidence about where where he thinks the Republican Party can be I

don't know if it's completely shared on Capitol Hill there's still some scared

Republican lawmakers up there about how to campaign where to be but if you look

at the polls on the North Korea situation some 51 percent think he

handled that situation the right way so you know we'll see how this plays out

you know you certainly get when it came to North Korea when it comes to the

economy you certainly even listening to that that sound from your interview

Brett you get a great sense of optimism from the president and where he is and

and certainly it's not it's not foreign to it to all of us to see the president

Pat himself on the back and it can you know bring strong acknowledgment to what

he has done during this presidency but sitting there you really get that sense

that things are moving forward for him and he's happy with where things are

yeah I think so and you get the sense inside the administration that there is

this this growing confidence that things are starting to click a little bit more

they have a lot of question marks ahead there are some pitfalls up on Capitol

Hill as far as spending bills and immigration and some fiscal cliffs yet

to come before the midterm that could be big stumbling blocks but

right now in the mindset of this president he looks like he's pretty

optimistic great stuff fredbear thank you so much it was a big interview and

great stuff thank you for that bill back out to you on the South Fork of Long

Island you know Sandra you come join us we just

need a fourth and we're all good you know this show to host in this fancy new

studio here I got a question though what's the breeze out there how's that

going good quite a little breezy this morning I think it's having an effect

already I want to say 10 to 15 miles an hour yeah at times but what what they're

saying for this afternoon though is 30 miles an hour if that if that happens

you're gonna see these scores if it happens what will watch it but we're

hearing that Rory Jordan speith and Phil Mickelson are

about to come by the first fairway here so they're gonna tee off and the front

nine is the back nine for them because they went off number ten earlier today

all three are over par Phil's plus for Rory's plus six jordan Spieth is plus

six I mean if well these are the best

golfers in the world in the world I'm cheering on lefty in that grouping okay

all right I'll let you know how they do it I'll give you a heads up when they

come back okay all right much more in a moment here on what we're learning from

the inspector general's report what's inside of that that's coming up plus

Republicans becoming the party of Trump as former President Barack Obama faces

growing calls from Democrats to get back into the Speight lock a spotlight rather

our a team is going to take on that coming up next live come on back right

after this

as we approach the midterms president Trump taking control of the GOP and

basically warning fellow Republicans cross him at your own risk this becoming

abundantly clear following this week's primaries back with our a team Jessica

Tarlov Charlie hurt and Judge Andrew Napolitano also Melissa Francis with

Bill Hemmer out on sunny and warm Long Island we'll

hear from them in just a minute but first to you Jessica on the politics of

the situation and we did learn a lot from those primaries this week we did

absolutely and you've seen a mass proliferation of articles across all

media outlets saying you got to stick with Trump if you're a GOP candidate

here mark sanford came out he lost his primary and they said what happened and

he said you got to stick with trump if you want to make it Purvis certainly in

a district that he won overwhelmingly and even the slightest opposition to him

even if you end up voting with him but you say something like hey that Access

Hollywood tape that was a little inappropriate that's a problem

apparently what do you think'll wrote for GOP Ayers who spoken out against him

as the president solidified his grip on the Republican Party oh I think I think

without a doubt and I think a big reason for that is the economy the you know the

and it's the most important rule of politics if the economy is going well

incumbents do well and if it's going badly they do poorly but absolutely I

think that those primaries definitely showed that that Republicans are that

Trump has solidified his grip on the party but I also think that the lesson

another lesson that is important for Democrats to learn is that running a

campaign just bashing Trump while it's great in a primary and it makes a lot of

people feel good it's not a winning election that's not gonna win close

elections in swing that's been borne out by the special election results which

have overwhelmingly favored Democrats and when you look at those elections

they have been all politics is local focused yeah people obviously you speak

about the president and what policies you may disagree with but you have

candidates out there they're even saying these are the things we do agree with

him about certainly in the Rust Belt saying we do need to be tougher about

trade maybe these tariffs are at the end of the world for instance but X Y & Z

things are still problematic about the President's

agenda so I think Democrats are doing well I know the president thinks not

only is he's the most successful president in American history but that

the GOP is not going to have a problem history would tell another tale there

and the generic ballot but Democrats need to really focus on that local

obviously a lot to point out a lot can change between now and then including

today's IG report well yes and I agree with what both my colleagues have said

the lesson

GOP Reeling After Another Establishment Candidate Beaten by Pro-Trump Candidate - Duration: 3:42.

For months, the media and the left — can anybody tell the difference? — have insisted

that the 2018 midterm elections would be a referendum on President Donald Trump.

Confident that his election to the White House was just a fluke, many liberal pundits have

declared that voters would flee from the president.

So far, it looks like the opposite is happening.

A well-known career GOP politician has just received shattering news: Even though he's

the incumbent, a surprising challenger defeated him in the primary on Tuesday, sending a signal

that establishment politicians are not safe.

Congressman and former Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina was beaten by State Rep. Katie

Arrington in a close race.

"The Associated Press called the race just after midnight, with Arrington leading Sanford

by 51-47 percent margin and 99 percent of precincts reporting.

Sanford becomes the second incumbent to lose a reelection primary bid this cycle," reported

The Hill.

"Sanford had never lost an election until Tuesday, even after he was caught having an

affair in 2009 while governor.

But his willingness to question Trump, who is lionized by the GOP primary electorate,

proved politically fatal," that outlet continued.

That point is especially important.

The one key difference between Sanford and Arrington is that he was an anti-Trump establishment

player, while she sided with the president and was seen as closer to the people, having

worked her way up from a restaurant job to national politics.

In other words, the pundits were dead wrong about the 2018 primary: Instead of fleeing

from Trump, voters appear to be doubling-down on the "drain the swamp" candidates who

are on the same page as the president.

The incumbent Sanford "repeatedly criticized Trump both during the election and since the

president took office," The Hill reported.

"In 2017, he told Politico that Trump 'has fanned the flames of intolerance' and has

been one of the few GOP lawmakers to demand Trump release his tax returns," the news

magazine continued.

Now, it looks like voters are the ones who are "intolerant" of Sanford.

"That criticism became the centerpiece of Arrington's campaign — she blasted Sanford

as a 'Never Trumper' on the stump and in campaign ads, arguing that the district

would be best served by a Trump ally instead of an antagonist," The Hill explained.

In a last-minute endorsement, President Trump urged South Carolina residents to "Vote

Katie" on Twitter.

"Mark Sanford has been very unhelpful to me in my campaign to MAGA.

He is MIA and nothing but trouble," Trump wrote in his usual blunt style.

"I fully endorse Katie Arrington for Congress in SC, a state I love.

She is tough on crime and will continue our fight to lower taxes.

VOTE Katie!" the president tweeted.

So much for the tired and worn out "Trump hates women" rhetoric.

Arrington is now set to become the first South Carolina female in Congress, if she is able

to secure the seat in the November general election.

The president won that district by a 12-point margin in 2016.

"I've been at the bottom of bottom, and now I'm on the highest of highs," Arrington

said after the results came in.

In the end, this primary may have been less about citizens rejecting Mark Sanford, and

more about them being fed up with establishment politics overall.

That bodes well for upstart candidates who aren't afraid to support the president … and

it is a sign that the much-hated "swamp" of D.C. politicians better watch their backs

in November.

we have another special guest with us we have Donald Trump jr. the executive vice

president of the Trump Organization and son of President Donald Trump thanks for

being with me to be with you guys so when you when the president goes to the

White House do you get or do you get it I look do you get a promotion a really

big raise I can't I just got to do it Eric and I can agree to each other's

raise or something gonna work out I remember interviewing your mom and she

said my kids always said mom I wanted to get paid more money I want to get paid

more money because it was at a golf course

she said finally you sat her down one day and you said mom I would like a

raise and she said okay and you said I've been complaining about the amount

you're paying me all these years why are you giving me a raise now and she said

because you asked yes well I got that one from my father as well learn the

hard way sometimes I know you have to go out there and get it yourself we asked

for the IG report look how I can become the serious one here all of a sudden we

actually IG reports coming out today we have talked about all morning long what

we're expecting it's gonna be an indictment not an actual one but a

metaphysical one of the Clinton email scandal yes what do you expecting yeah

listen I sort of look at what I've seen from the outside bureaucracy I sort of

look at them as HR for a big corporation I mean they're not there for the little

guy they're there to protect the big corporation so I imagine it will be one

of those things that both sides will look at and be like see I told you so

so you know I'm hoping it's good because what's going on is a disgrace when you

see the things that we've seen in our government if you saw those things

happening in you know banana republics you'd say that's terrible but when

they're happening actually here in this country and you notice all the people

that were really loud a few weeks ago sort of went away they're kind of quiet

all of a sudden because I think they realize that people are on to them they

know what's been going on and what happened what's been really disgusting

it's gonna be hard to do is to marginalize it as a political document

when he was appointed Michael Horowitz by President Bush and reaffirmed by

President Obama it looks like politics could be out of

this and a year investigation could be into this so when they come to their

conclusion and present their case Comey mccabe Peter struck Lisa page and maybe

Bruce or according to some of these unredacted things that have been

released now could have their credibility questioned how does that

what does that mean in the big picture well listen I think if you want to

question their credibility they've done enough of that on their own

I mean just look at the double-talk all the things that they've said all the

things they've lied about I mean it's right out there I mean these are you

know public statements that they've made so you know I think their credibility is

shot and it's a shame to see that happened to some of these great

institutions like the FBI where the guys on the ground the boots you know the

guys actually doing the real work are incredible people they're hard-working

loyal patriotic Americans it's the problem is the lawyers at the top the

guys that have never carried a gun that are just you know you're a bureaucrats

they've really put a blight you know on those institutions and it's a shame and

hopefully we can get them some credibility back eventually there's an

old saying it all comes out in the wash and hopefully we'll find some answers if

there was mishandling of information in this investigation thanks to the

executives and the Obama administration hopefully it'll all come to light I'd

like to see it as you can imagine I've become a cynic after what I've seen over

the last couple years the robert muller investigation robert mowers approvals

now at 34 percent rudy giuliani on with laura ingraham last night said we're

gonna decide in the next couple of weeks whether the president sits down if the

your dad asks you what he should do what would you tell them listen I don't trust

these people as far as I could throw them I wouldn't sit down with them

because you know you can sit there and ask questions for 50 hours for a hundred

hours ask the same thing a thousand times and that's the kamas different

here now we got you you know the reality is the greatest investigative bodies in

the world have been looking at this for two years two years and they've come up

with nothing by the way the only thing they've come up is what they themselves

we're doing to try to set this up so you I wouldn't do it I think it'd be stupid

I don't think any Lee you know any proper lawyer would say hey you should

go do it because it's not about collusion anymore it's can we get him to

say something that may be interpreted as somewhat off or inaccurate and after

50,000 questions maybe you make a mistake and that's how we get you so and

that's ridiculous and that's not what this is all about I mean when are they

even talking about Russia collusion with that one anymore because they've given

up on that it's the constant attempt to try to find something to undermine this

president this duly elected president and again for me as an American and when

I'm around you know other parts of the country I mean people are coming up to

me being like what's going on is disgusting you also have that experience

with yourself too right how many hours have you testified in

front of God 25 hours in front of various congressional about is you know

millions in legal fees and all this stuff the difference is I can weather

that storm most of these other people on here can't they're younger

people they're working on a campaign so they beat them down they put them in

these situations where they're in and it's it's just not really fair it's

really custom I don't think it does what's nice about it is the mess that I

went through with probably the little you say the needle in the haystack that

created the precipice for all this other discovery that we found out hey look at

what they're doing it's really it's the other side it's the Democrats funding

these things it's the Hillary Clinton campaign spending millions of dollars to

foreign agents to come up with this nonsense dossier that's still totally

unverified and yet if you look at some of the other networks they run around

like this things the you know the Magna Carta let's get a big issue of this week

prior to today and of course that's the North Korea summit when you saw you're

dead shaking the hand of Kim jong-un there's a picture of it right there for

those of you who weren't around this week what's going through your mind when

you see that listen it's incredible and you know I know the guy I understand how

he works I even when they sort of pulled out of the summit I told a couple people

I was like this is exactly what's gonna happen he's gonna play hardball they're

gonna come back to the table and they're gonna get this thing done

that's what it is I mean he understands how to do these things and that's why

it's so interesting when I watch these government pundits oh my I've been

dealing with this issue for 30 years hey for 30 years you couldn't get in a

room with the guy you couldn't even have a meeting I'm not saying he's a nice guy

I'm not saying this but you have to have this dialogue I mean I see the other

side they're almost upset that we're not at nuclear war with North Korea right

now because it means that Trump was actually effective but guess what what

they've been doing for 60 years since the end of that war we can never

really ended but for 60 years totally ineffective so someone comes in takes a

different approach tries to do something else actually brings a business

mentality to this thing and guess what you have more progress in 16 months than

they had in 60 years and yet they continue to knock it so what he did this

week was incredible it's textbook Trump I mean he knows how to get people on his

side he knows how to breach those gaps and the gaps are very substantial but he

knows how to do that because he's done it for his entire career well the left

and mainstream media they had a heyday with that they wanted to turn it

negative even though but you can't have it both ways if you if you say no war

and then your dad is going over there and taking away nuclear weapons we have

this dictator and there complaining I really don't understand it

we had Cory Cory Booker was was talking about how basically if you aren't deeply

disturbed by your father and your father's era then you need to check your

own love listen to this and we'll get your reaction I'm telling you right now

if this country hasn't broken your heart you don't love her enough if you're not

deeply disturbed by what's coming you got to check your own love some people

call it patriotism that's a fine word but understand patriotism is love of

country and you cannot love your country unless you love your fellow country men

and women love is struggle and we know what a great leader Frederick Douglass

says if there is no struggle there is no progress and so let me tell you to all

the faithful here I'm a big believer before you tell me about your religion

for show it to me and how you treat other people very charismatic but does

not like your father he said at the beginning of that and I'm not really

sure what this means I'm telling you right now if this country hasn't broken

your heart you don't love her enough yeah listen it's ridiculous and I think

we're used to seeing Cory Booker and the histrionics and everything is drama and

yet you know two weeks ago we put forth prison reform legislation that he's been

fighting for for you know since the beginning of his career and all of a

sudden he's against it because anything that Trump does he'll be against it so

something that he's championed that he's done all of us and he's not for it and

he realizes I think that's a mistake but that's the problem with the other side

you know if Donald Trump walked across the Hudson River to New Jersey they'd

say Trump can't swim if he came out for oxygen they'd they'd be against it okay

they'd hold their breath so you know it's just honestly it's just noisy he

looks like he's auditioning to be a televangelist and you know we get that

we've seen the over drama we've seen the facial expressions in the hearings you

know I don't think it plays well with real people in this country I mean I get

he thinks it probably does but I think he's a terrible actor the Democrats are

trying to get a message across and try to find what the right one is because

it's been ineffective so far and you and it seems like the president's numbers

are going up and they are higher than President Obama's if you're a Democrat

what what matrix are you running on are you running with jabs are you running on

the economy are you I literally cannot think of a single matrix by which there

policies have proven to be successful and Trump's have it because he's winning

that's what he's doing right I just want you to hear what bob Corker said

yesterday whose was up for secretary stayed up for a running mate at times

been a critic of the president here he is calling out what he told me was

leadership yesterday in saying this we're in a strange place I mean it's

almost it's becoming a cultish it's not a good place for any party to end up

with a cult-like situation as it relates to a president

that happens to be of purportedly of the same party so he says because no one

wants to buck because leadership doesn't want to buck the president hey they're a

cult listen I think that's ridiculous I think you know if it's a cult it's

because they like what my father's doing you see real Americans actually winning

for a change conservatives actually getting things done and I mean I saw

this I'm a I saw this during daca when Schumer folded initially I had multiple

congressmen call me done what just happened I go what do mean what just

happened done I go well we won and I quote we don't win we give up because

the other side calls us a name they do this so I think Americans I address this

yesterday on my Twitter to corker you know Americans want to see someone who's

actually gonna have conviction not just talk about it you know with great sound

bites and then when it comes game time they sit there and fold they want

someone who's gonna be like my father and fight and actually want to win and

how about actually won to win elections how do you feel about the Adam Schiff

saying the other day that if he gets the majority in the house they're going to

investigate Jared and Ivanka yeah I think it's predicament at evey camera he

didn't love so he'll be out there he'll say all these things it all ends up

being nonsense 99% chance he's the guy leaking all these things that I dealt

with him in my testimony and every time he went to a bathroom break you know I

get to read about it on CNN seven hours later when we were out of there so you

know it that's what it is the other side there they have a platform of hate and

nonsense and nothing else and I think they're panicking because of it darn

your dad's birthday's today 70 it is what's your message for him well

hopefully he's watching I imagine he is but happy birthday dad I love you very

much you're getting absolutely no presence

because I figured five grandchildren is enough and when you get

when you get the most powerful guy in the world and you know anything's gonna

be a letdown so we love you and I look forward to seeing you soon so I don't

get to see him that much anymore that's the only brother happy by him one of his

ties for he doesn't have enough of those thanks so much

Hilarious: Watch as Trump Makes Fat Joke at Summit, Kim Is Not Amused - Duration: 2:14.

Call it the Singapore slam.

Whatever comes from President Donald Trump's summit in Singapore this week with North Korean

dictator Kim Jong Un, history is likely to remember it standing out for one reason at

least:

A fat joke told by the president of the United States, and the expressionless reception it

got from his rotund negotiating partner.

The joke came up as Trump and Kim were about to be seated for lunch on Tuesday, according

to USA Today.

Trump watched as the assembled media angled for the best view to record the historic occasion,

then he dropped a signature Trump line.

"Getting a good picture, everybody?" he asked.

"So we look nice and handsome and thin and perfect?"

When the camera went to Kim's face as he listened to the interpretation, it was clear

it wasn't exactly a laugh-out-loud moment for him.

Now, to be fair, Trump himself doesn't exactly cut a svelte figure on the world stage.

Though at 6-3, 239 pounds (according to The Washington Post in January) he's got a considerably

larger frame to work with than Kim who stands about 5-8, according to USA Today, and weighs

about 300 pounds according to Heavy.com.

(It's worth pointing out here that Kim runs a country where even the soldiers are starving.)

That's a pretty substantial body mass index difference between the two men, but Trump

could still have meant the line as a self-deprecating joke, not a jibe at the ponderous bulk of

the North Korean dictator.

But Kim might not have taken it that way.

And a good number of Twitter users didn't either.

Many, many Trump haters weighed in, of course.

They always do.

And naturally they hated it.

But quite a few Trump supporters thought it was funnier than Kim apparently did.

Considering Trump's sense of humor was honed over decades dealing with some of the biggest

egos in the world of business and entertainment, it's a good chance he knows pretty well

how far he can push a joke – even with someone he just met.

But even if it was a jab, it's not like Kim didn't have it coming.

He knows he's not starving to death like the people unfortunate enough to live in the

country he rules.

Dennis Rodman tears after Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump summit - Duration: 3:42.

former basketball star Dennis Rodman broke down in tears while being

interviewed on television about the historic summit between President Donald

Trump and North Korean leader Kim jong-un but I kept my head up high

brother I knew things were change I knew it I was the only one I never had no one

to hear me I didn't know what had to see me but I took those bullets I took all

that came at me and I'm still standing the NBA Hall of Famer who appeared on

Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 wore red make America great again hat and

sunglasses during an emotional appearance on CNN the 57 year old

claimed the president is so proud of him for his role in the extraordinary event

despite officials previously saying he would play no role in negotiations

Rodman is one of the few Westerners to have met Kim during visits to the

secretive country and landed in Singapore ahead of the meeting between

the two leaders on Tuesday which was aimed at eliminating North Korea's

nuclear weapons program during his interview Rodman repeatedly called the

summit amazing before breaking down in dabbing tears as they rolled down his

face he revealed he knew nothing about North Korea when he first arrived there

and originally thought he was only in the country to play a basketball and

make the people happy he added it turned out so much more

bigger than what I thought I just fell in love with the country Rodman who has

also met mr. Trump claimed the White House had already called him to say the

president is so proud of you and described Mr Kim as a big kid the

athlete bonded with mr. Kim over a love of basketball and appeared on mr.

Trump's Celebrity Apprentice in the bizarre interview Rodman also said in my

heart and soul when I first went to North Korea I was very honored to be

selected to go err once I went to North Korea I didn't

really understand what the whole situation was as far as being over there

when I met Kim jong-un I didn't know what to expect but once I got to know

the culture over there I felt at home the former basketball star took a swipe

at former US President Barack Obama saying he hadn't given him the time of

day he was referring to his efforts to act as a mediator between Kim and the

Obama administration which rebuffed him Rodman described how he was ridiculed

for meeting Kim in later predicting he would be an effective peacemaker Trump

and North Korean leader have met for the first time to discuss ways to end a

nuclear standoff on the Korean Peninsula with Kim promising major changes afoot

Kim said the world will see major change in that he and mr. Trump had decided to

leave the past behind he earlier described their meeting as a

good prelude to peace mr. Trump added on Tuesday that he absolutely would invite

the North Korean leader to the White House the roughly 40 minute meeting in

Singapore went better than anybody could have expected according to trump who was

pictured holding up a document bearing both leaders signatures the documents

contents are yet to be revealed

Donald Trump Was Just Double-Crossed By The Last Person He Ever Expected - Duration: 3:02.

The swamp has unleashed criminal investigations as their chief method of forcing Donald Trump

from office.

Federal prosecutors are terrorizing Trump associates in the hopes that the threat of

jail will force them to betray Trump.

And they may have struck pay-dirt as Donald Trump just got double-crossed by the last

person he ever expected.

Trump lawyer Michael Cohen has been the target of prosecutors ever since the FBI raided his

home and offices back in April.

Special counsel Robert Mueller tipped off federal prosecutors in New York to Cohen's

business dealings concerning a taxi medallion he co-owned, as well his payments to women

who allegedly had affairs with Trump.

Mueller and other prosecutors are scheming to use Cohen to further the attempts to drive

Trump from office.

And it appears Cohen may have flipped.

ABC News broke the story that sources close to Cohen believe he changed his legal team

over his desire to cooperate with investigators.

But is this what really happened?

Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman claimed: "Person close to Cohen says he hasn't flipped yet,

"he's sending up a smoke signal to Trump: I need help."

Cohen had previously written that he would never betray President Trump:

"A PERSON WHO DESERVES MY LOYALTY RECEIVES IT."- JOYCE MAYNARD I WILL ALWAYS PROTECT

OUR (PRESIDENT)"

Conservative commentator Erick Erickson theorized that Cohen changed his legal team because

his initial team of lawyers were not criminal defense attorneys.

Erickson believes Cohen did not switch his legal team in order to cooperate, but to fight.

One thing that is clear is this will have no impact on the Russia investigation.

Despite multiple fake news stories that used the Christopher Steele dossier as the basis

for claiming Cohen traveled to Prague to collude with Russians, Cohen has provided evidence

that he was in California visiting colleges with his son at the time.

Cohen wrote:

"BAD REPORTING, BAD INFORMATION AND BAD STORY BY SAME REPORTER PETER STONE (MCCLATCHY,

DC) NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES OR WAYS THEY WRITE IT, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO PRAGUE.

I WAS IN LA WITH MY SON.

PROVEN!"

Federal prosecutors first goal will be to determine if Cohen possesses any smoking gun

evidence to implicate Trump in campaign finance violations for payments to Stormy Daniels

and other women.

In addition, government investigators would employ Cohen as the gateway into investigating

Trump's financial empire.

Even if both of these avenues turn out to be dead ends, prosecutors will be looking

to flip Cohen so he will provide a diet of embarrassing personal details about Trump

that could be leaked to the press during the midterm elections.

The media could then whip these stories up in a series of "October surprises" that

the Democrats would use to boost their chances to win back Congress where they can finally

launch impeachment proceedings.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this story.

Expert's take on how Kim Jong-un could have looked at Trump's Hollywood style video - Duration: 3:22.

It's already been few days since the summit of the century wrapped up.

Still there's a lot of buzz surrounding it.

One of the most talked about subject is the video the U.S. commander in chief prepared

for the regime's leader.

Trump tried to show what a great place North Korea can become.

But did the message get through?

Lee Ji-won files this report from Singapore.

"There can only be two results.

One, of moving back.

One, of moving forward."

At their summit on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump presented his North Korean counterpart

Kim Jong-un with a five-minute long video,... which he also showed to the press later that

day... and tweeted out to the world.

He called it "A Story of Opportunity."

Showing golden sunrises, gleaming skylines and world monuments, with the North Korean

flag fluttering between them, the video narrates the bright future the U.S. says awaits North

Koreans and Pyongyang.

But at several points, mixed in, are black-and-white images of missile launches, and the regime's

militarization.

The point of the video was clear -- to convey to Kim that he has choices, each of which

comes with consequences, good or bad.

Many found the video bizzare, but a North Korea expert in Singapore says the decision

to play was understandable considering the President's experience in showbusiness.

But he added that it could have been seen as condescending.

"It is telling Mr. Kim in the least to imagine these scenarios.

But the thing is that, we need to give Kim, as the leader of his own country, the due

respect as someone who is intelligent and sophisticated and informed enough to imagine

for himself what the options are."

Kim's reaction to the video?

Only those at the summit know, but according to Trump, Kim seemed to like it.

"I showed it to them today.

Actually during the meeting.

Toward the end of the meeting.

I think he [Kim] loved it.

About eight of their representatives were watching it.

I thought they were fascinated by it.

I thought it was well done.

I showed it to you because that is the future."

In fact, the video did show consideration for its audience, with Korean text overlaid,

Korean narration and even some specifically North Korean vocabulary.

Professor Ong-Webb said the U.S. did not seem to have ill intentions in making the video.

But he added that the execution could have been better.

"It needs to be more sensitive going forward, because the whole situation is very sensitive.

We know how a little word or deed can derail the whole process.

Where every picture, every frame has a thousand words, and have tons of different meanings."

"But regardless of what Kim thought of the video, the expert said he is certain that

the North Korean leader has seen the economic and other possibilities for his people and

his regime... through the summit and his visit here.

Lee Ji-won, Arirang News, Singapore."
