Trump news on Youtube Feb 9 2018

- While President Trump has Promised

to avoid any new overseas deals while in office,

potential new arrangement between the Trump Organization

and a developer in the Dominican Republic

has raised concerns about the validity of that promise

and potential conflicts of interest.

Here's why this matters.

Over a decade ago, a deal was struck

between the Trump Organization

and the powerful Cap Cana group,

which is a real estate developer in the DR,

for a luxury project in the southeast part of the island.

Amid the recession and an ugly legal dispute

between the two parties, the project stalled

and the broken ground has since laid dormant.

So it came as a bit of a surprise when Eric Trump

visited the Cap Cana group to reignite the deal

less than two weeks after his father was inaugurated.

When the Trump family attorney had said,

"No new foreign deals would be made

"during the duration of Trump's presidency,"

the organization's lawyer had told me it's not a new deal,

insisting that it's a project to be developed over time.

But what's interesting is not the deal itself,

but what could appear to be a sign

of the influence of the Trump Organization

over a local government.

In October a height proposal was introduced

that dramatically increased the long-standing restrictions

on buildings in the coast from four stories to 22 stories.

The proposal was reportedly made in part

of the request of the Cap Cana Group, Trump's partner,

and would benefit hoteliers

who could pack more high-priced condos into them.

The country's tourism minister flatly denies

that the Trump campaign had anything to do

with the height increase proposal,

but if implemented, the organization

would definitely benefit from it.

The issue has become so charged

that the decision on whether to approve

the Trump-affiliated project has even reached

the desk of Dominican President, Danilo Medina

and government sources tell me

that when it comes to the height increase proposal,

it's on everyone's mind that it could help Trump

and herein lies the problem.

Even if indirect, the Trump Organization

has a lot of power in the DR,

as the presidents close the financial stake in the company,

and the U.S. bodes a great deal of influence

on its small neighbor.

And with properties in several countries around the world,

potential conflicts of interest pertaining to this president

should not go unnoticed.

BREAKING! TRUMP Just Made MAJOR STATEMENT on Superbowl! NBC IS PISSED!- BreakingNews24 - Duration: 30:12.

BREAKING!

TRUMP Just Made MAJOR STATEMENT on Superbowl!

NBC IS PISSED!

Since President Donald Trump isn't your typical Republican president ready to be the

mainstream media's punching bag he has done something other GOP presidents only dreamed

they could do, but lacked the spine to do so.

NBC who is televising today's Super Bowl, and in keeping with tradition also wanted

to interview the President of the United States before the big game.

But sources at NBC have now confirmed that their interview requests with President Donald

Trump have been turned down.

Although they have also confirmed that he still has an open invitation should he choose

to change his mind.

Don't hold your breath NBC!

Now keep in mind that when Fox televised the Super Bowl last year, Trump did sit down with

Fox's now former superstar anchor Bill O'Reilly at the White House.

But this year he doesn't care to sit down with "Fake News" NBC or any of their hack

partisan anchors.

Rightly So!

Trump's ongoing feud with the spoiled ball tossing NFL players maybe could have been

a factor in the decision to skip this years interview.

The President has taken the NFL to task for letting its employees run the show and the

players who kneeled during the national anthem throughout this year for social justice causes

that no one knows for sure are.

The first Super Bowl Presidential Sunday interview began with George W. Bush and continued with

Barack Hussein Obama in 2009.

Via Yahoo Sports:

BLOOMINGTON, Minn.

– Perhaps you are one of the football fans who boycotted the NFL this season either because

of player protests during the national anthem or because Colin Kaepernick, who started the

movement, was never added to a roster.

Perhaps you even stuck with your protest and didn't just claim you were done with the

NFL only to quickly return to watching a dozen hours every Sunday from the Barcalounger in

the corner.

If you are one of those dedicated protestors who are still holding out, Sunday is your

greatest challenge.

Can you skip the Super Bowl?

It's not just a game between New England and Philadelphia, after all.

This requires avoiding your brother-in-law's annual party where everyone drinks a ton of

beer.

It means walking away from your neighbor's vaunted seven-layer dip.

It calls for a full rejection of American society … staying home while everyone else

lives it up, even if it's just for the commercials or Justin Timberlake.

Will President Donald Trump tune into the Super Bowl?

Will Kaepernick?

"I believe the Super Bowl transcends," said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBC Broadcasting

& Sports.

Probably, although there will still, undoubtedly, be some people who tune out for personal reasons.

How many is the question.

Some have already come back, if not publicly, then at least privately.

Others will make a Super Bowl exception.

Still others will realize that very few players even kneel (other than the weeks after Trump

called them out) and none have done so in the playoffs.

To each their own.

Nielsen ratings have been down this season for the NFL, but Lazarus is not one who thinks

the sky is falling.

While he acknowledges social issues contributed, he also points out that it is but one contributor

in a very complex mix, including technology, demographics and injuries/retirements to star

players.

He also cites NBC's own data that suggests there isn't that big of a dropoff, if any

at all.

"I think more people are consuming football content," Lazarus said.

"I think there are some less watching the full game broadcast.

What's still underreported however, and Nielsen is working on it, is out-of-home viewing

[mainly people on their phone], which adds somewhere between 5 and 10 percent to the

overall viewing and that pretty much closes the gap.

"I think between that, the streams and linear, we've got similar number of people watching."

Nielsen requires selected people to chronicle the shows they are viewing.

It's done on the honor system.

How honest are these people?

People tend to lie about pretty much everything, so, for instance, are the ratings for "Keeping

Up With the Kardashians" actually much higher than the ratings suggest because people are

too embarrassed to admit they watch?

Conversely are the ratings for "PBS NewsHour" actually lower?

There were many people offended by players kneeling during the national anthem.

There were many people who did not want politics to enter their sports entertainment.

They all have the right to be offended and the right to allow that to determine what

they do and don't watch.

It's a free and rollicking country.

However, social protests are very difficult to maintain over a long period of time.

They require incredible discipline and America is an undisciplined country.

Which is why they usually fizzle, quickly.

President Trump does many interviews.

There is no reason why he needs to sit down and give the NFL, or NBC any more ratings.

No Patriotic America Loving person should be watching the Super Bowl anyways until the

NFL puts a stop to these asinine protests.

Although everyone in the US has the right to protest, you don't have the right to

do so when you are on the clock, especially when the people protesting injustice are getting

an average salary of 2.5 million dollars, don't you agree?

Please share if you are boycotting

the

Super Bowl….

TRUMP TO ESTABLISH NATIONAL VETTING CENTER FOCUSED ON TRAVELERS, - Duration: 3:30.

TRUMP

TO ESTABLISH NATIONAL VETTING CENTER FOCUSED ON TRAVELERS, IMMIGRANTS TO US

CNN Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump is

expected to sign a national security memorandum on Tuesday establishing a National Vetting

Center aimed at improving vetting of those looking to enter the US, two administration

officials told CNN.

The presidential memorandum will give the Department of Homeland Security and other

agencies six months to establish the center, which administration officials said is intended

to streamline vetting and improve the flow of information between various federal agencies.

The memorandum Trump is expected to sign on Tuesday will not establish any new authorities

or call for any new funding to establish the vetting center, which will be an effort between

DHS, the State Department, Justice Department and intelligence agencies, a National Security

Council official said.

Trump touts economy as market tanks Its unclear how this effort will change

the way travelers and immigrants to the US are vetted.

While the centers efforts are largely expected to focus on visa applicants, immigrants and

others looking to enter the US, the center will also look to streamline vetting of certain

individuals who are already in the US, including those subject to deportation proceedings,

according to the National Security Council official.

Anticipating concerns from civil liberties groups, the memorandum will also establish

a standing privacy and civil liberties panel, which will have some oversight over the National

Vetting Centers activities.

The membership of that panel will also be determined during the six-month period.

The National Vetting Center is part of the Trump administrations broader efforts to

tighten immigration screenings, following Trumps calls for extreme vetting

during his presidential campaign.

Trump has repeatedly pointed to the need for tighter immigration controls, amplifying his

calls in the wake of terrorist attacks even when the terrorist in question was born in

the US or was radicalized after entering the United States.

Trump has also repeatedly mischaracterized US vetting procedures, suggesting during the

campaign and into his presidency that some individuals have entered the US without proper

vetting.

In railing against the current US visa lottery program, Trump has suggested individuals are

randomly selected for entry to the US, leaving out the background screening procedures they

must first pass.

The vetting center will be overseen by a board of governors that will likely include Cabinet

members, the official said.

CNNs Elise Labott contributed to this report.

Man at Center of Russian Investigation I Never Spoke With Trump - Duration: 4:23.

Man at Center of Russian Investigation I Never Spoke With Trump Any Time in My Life

More than two decades after penning an academic paper examining the tensions between the executive

branch and Congress over national defense secrets, Carter Page is now at the center

of a controversy involving similar issues.

It is true that congressional leaks may be used as potent political devices, wrote

Page, who now finds himself in a heated battle over the role of Congress, the handling of

classified information and suspected Russian collusion.

Page, who served as a foreign policy adviser for the Trump campaign in 2016, gave an interview

Tuesday to ABCs Good Morning America, in which he discussed the specifics of his

role.

He revealed that he never spoke with then-candidate Donald Trump.

Youve been under surveillance since October 2016, said ABC host George Stephanopoulos.

Since that time, have you ever spoken to Donald Trump?

I never spoke with him since, Page answered.

I never spoke with him any time in my life.

Man At Center Of Russian Investigation: I Never Spoke With Trump 'Any Time In My Life'

Youve never spoken with Donald Trump in your life? Stephanopoulos pressed.

No email, no text, nothing like that?

Never, Page said.

However, the former campaign advise has remained in the spotlight, particularly with the Friday

release of a controversial House Intelligence Committee memo compiled by Republicans that

alleges the Obama DOJ abused the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act to surveil the Trump campaign.

The four-page document produced by intelligence committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes accuses

senior DOJ officials of relying on information from the unverified Trump-Russia dossier to

obtain warrants to spy on the campaign.

The dossier itself, though, was paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the

Clinton campaign, who were looking to dig up dirt on the

Though Page has been at the center of the memo, some law enforcement officials have

admitted that his role is less prominent if nonexistent in regard to special counsel

Robert Muellers investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia.

Page, who has viciously denied accusations of being a Russian spy, has been open about

his ties to Russia, and has even gone so far as to call himself a Kremlin adviser in a

2013 letter that he later made public.

Over the past half year, I have had the privilege to serve as an informal adviser

to the staff of the Kremlin in preparation for their presidency of the G-20 Summit next

month, where energy issues will be a prominent point on the agenda, the letter read.

The main issue is a perennial misunderstanding about Russia thats continued throughout

much of the past century, particularly in Washington, Page told NBC News last week.

Moreover, some on Capitol Hill have deemed the controversial memo misleading, with the

House Intelligence Committee voting unanimously to release a document rebutting its accusations.

That document will be going to Trump, who can choose whether or not he wants the information

to be released.

Though Page testified last year before the intelligence committee as part of the Russia

investigation, he admitted in a recent interview that the GOP memo is even worse than I

could have possibly imagined, according to The Hill.
