Director Michael Moore Was Russian Pawn In Anti-Trump Protest At Trump Tower

On Friday, the office of special counsel Robert Mueller announced that a grand jury indicted

13 Russian nationals, along with 3 Russian entities, accused of "supporting the presidential

campaign of then-candidate Donald J. Trump … and disparaging Hillary Clinton."

Investigators also found the Russians organized rallies against Trump in New York City and

Charlotte.

According to court documents, "At the same time, Defendants and their co-conspirators,

through another ORGANIZATION-controlled group, organized a rally in New York City called

"Trump is NOT my President" held on or about November 12, 2016.

Similarly, Defendants and their co-conspirators organized a rally entitles "Charlotte Against

Trump" in Charlotte, North Carolina, held on or about November 19, 2016."

See footage below of New York City event on November 12, 2016.

Here is NBC's report on the New York City event:

"Not My President's Day" rallies were staged in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles,

Atlanta, Philadelphia and more than two dozen other cities across the nation in a spirited

display of defiance against a president who has been in power for just one month.

In Trump's hometown, a huge throng rallied outside the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan,

with the crowd blanketing the southwestern corner of Central Park and singing "We Shall

Overcome."

Many carried signs that read "Not My President" and "Resist" and chanted "No Ban, No

Wall" — a reference to Trump's executive order on travel by immigrants and his still-unbuilt

wall along the Mexican border.

Progressive director Michael Moore appears to have been used unwittingly to bring attention

to a Russian-led protest against the President-elect.

Moore actively participated and promoted the New York City protest organized by the Russians.

Moore live broadcasted the protest on his personal Facebook page.

"I'm in the middle of thousands -tens of thousands?- of American voters outside

Trump Tower demanding he step aside.

He got the least votes," tweeted Moore.

Earlier in the day, the director attempted to meet with Trump.

As reporter Michael Finnegan pointed out, Moore had "no luck," meeting with the

President-elect.

Moore, a vocal critic of Trump, has long claimed the New York billionaire conspired with Putin

to become president.

Investigative Reporter Uncovers How Trumps Favorite Nickname for CNN Got Started

The origin of the infamous fake news phrase hurled back-and-forth between mainstream

media outlets and President Donald Trump appears to have been uncovered by an investigative

journalist.

At a recent TedX Talk at the University of Nevada, investigative journalist and author

Sharyl Attkisson revealed how the 45th president weaponized the term and used it against mainstream

media outlets.

As reported by PJ Media, Attkisson noted that the term fake news has been around for

ages in the form of phrases such as false media narratives and tabloid journalism.

However, the new fake news term began taking shape in 2016 when mainstream media

outlets began pushing viewers to focus on false narratives supposedly pushed by conservative

media outlets.

Attkisson began searching further to uncover the origins of the term, discovering that

a non-profit organization named First Draft appeared to be the about the first to use

fake news in its modern context.

First Draft claims to use research-based methods to fight mis- and disinformation online.

But, as noted by Attkisson, the organization had a major donor in the form of Google more

on that later.

On September 13, 2016, First Draft announced a partnership to tackle malicious hoaxes and

fake news reports, Attkisson said during her TedX Talk.

The goal was supposedly to separate wheat from chaff, to prevent unproven conspiracy

talk from figuring prominently in internet searches.

To relegate todays version of the alien baby story to a special internet oblivion.

Then, according to Attkisson, former President Barack Obama interjected himself into the

conversation of outing malicious media outlets.

He insisted in a speech that he too thought somebody needed to step in and curate information

of this wild, wild West media environment, she added, insisting that mainstream media

had now received its marching orders.

Fake news, they insisted, was an imminent threat to American democracy, she continued.

The investigative journalist then asked the crowd to ponder this possibility: What

if the whole anti-fake news campaign was an effort on somebodys part to keep us from

seeing or believing certain websites and stories by controversializing them or labeling them

as fake news?

As mentioned earlier, Google was a big donor to the small non-profit First Draft.

Attkisson discovered that Googles parent company, Alphabet, was headed by a man named

Eric Schmidt.

Schmidt, as reported by PJ Media, was a major supporter of former Secretary of State and

2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

According to Attkisson, (T)he whole thing smacked of the roll-out of a propaganda campaign,

but it inevitably backfired as Trump began flipping the term and using the fake news

moniker against the media outlets who originally aimed it at him and his party.

But something happened that nobody expected.

The anti-fake news campaign backfired, she said.

Each time advocates cried fake news, Donald Trump called them fake news until hed

co-opted the term so completely that even those who (were) originally promoting it started

running from it including the Washington Post.

Attkisson provided the audience with warning signs that massive corporations may be

trying to manipulate their views and opinions.

The first warning sign she described is when media outlets attempt to reshape or outright

censor facts as opposed to reporting them.

And the second sign to remain aware of is when multiple media outlets are reporting

the same stories and pushing the same narratives and using identical phrases.

When interests are working this hard to shape your opinion, their true goal might

just be to add another layer between you and the truth, Attkisson said in conclusion.

White House Says Trump Is Open To Improving Gun Background Checks - Duration: 0:59.

The White House says President Donald Trump is open to improving the federal background

check system for gun purchases.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement Monday that Trump recently

spoke with Sen. John Cornyn about a bipartisan bill he introduced.

That legislation aimed to make the National Instant Criminal Background Check System more

effective.

The Fix NICS Act would offer financial incentives to states and federal agencies that upload

information to the federal system about people who are supposed to be banned from buying

a gun.

It was introduced last November after a shooting at a Texas church.

The suspect in the shooting was able to buy a gun because the U.S. Air Force didn't report

his past general court-martial for domestic violence.

The press secretary said:

After the Florida school shooting in February, some lawmakers, students and teachers have

all urged Trump and Congress to pass gun control legislation.

President Trump To Host Honored Guest Who Snubbed Obama 2 Years Ago - Duration: 2:55.

President Trump To Host Honored Guest Who Snubbed Obama 2 Years Ago

While the mainstream press continually portrays former President Barack Obama as if he was

a beloved leader revered the world over, the reality is vastly different.

There are plenty of folks on our American shores that are none too keen on Obama's

legacy, and the same can be said for a number of other world leaders.

So for now, President Donald Trump is continually trying to reconstruct the bridges Barack burned

around the world, and he's about to extend another olive branch to a leader that essentially

wanted nothing to do with Obama.

In fact, when Obama invited this powerful world leader to the White House, he snubbed

the invitation just 2 years ago.

But when Donald Trump made him the same offer, he immediately accepted.

The Washington Examiner shares the details.

President Trump will welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House

on March 5, marking the second time Trump will have hosted Netanyahu in Washington.

"The president has a great relationship with the prime minister and looks forward

to meeting with him," a White House official said in a statement provided to the Washington

Examiner.

Under Obama's leadership, the United States gradually descended from its lofty perch of

a strong world leader to one that seemingly didn't know which way was up.

With all of Barack's bowing down to world leaders, America looked very weak.

Other world leaders were quick to pick up on those changes, and our nation's standing

on the world stage was seriously damaged.

Trump is doing his best to fix that, and the reaction of other world leaders has been quite

telling.

Netanyahu was among the first world leaders who visited Trump at the White House after

Inauguration Day…

Trump's recognition in December of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel drew condemnation

from Palestinians but earned widespread praise from Israeli leaders and their supporters

in the U.S.

The president announced plans to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to

Jerusalem in fulfillment of a campaign promise.

Despite the attempts of the Left and the mainstream press to portray him as some kind of deranged

and unhinged leader, other nations have welcomed Trump with open arms.

His common sense and no-nonsense approach to things have resonated, and it's becoming

crystal clear that the United States is once again operating from a position of strength.

That's a big win no matter which way you slice it, and it's safe to say that things

will improve on that front as throughout Trump's tenure.

POTUS Trump BLASTS 'Very Insecure Oprah' — Urges Her To Run So She Can Be 'Exposed'

President Trump blasted Oprah Winfrey Sunday evening, saying he hopes that she runs for

the White House so she can be 'exposed,' and 'defeated.'

"Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview

a panel of people on 60 Minutes.

The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect.

Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!" tweeted

Trump

The Hill reports:

Winfrey had interviewed a group of Michigan voters for a "60 Minutes" segment that

aired Sunday night.

Half of the group had voted for Trump and the other half had not.

Speculation that Winfrey might run for president emerged after she delivered an emotional speech

at the Golden Globes last month.

However, she has denied that she was considering a presidential bid.

Trump has weighed in on a potential run by Winfrey before, saying that he didn't think

she would run but that if she did, he would beat her.

As the left continues to float their Oprah for President fantasies and the media continues

to fan the flames, it's always important to do somewhat of a reality check, reported

The Gateway Pundit's Carter.

The Central Florida Post conducted a poll with the help of Dixie Strategies, wherein

they found that president Donald Trump would "trounce" Oprah in the must-win state

of Florida.

The numbers break down as follows:

President Donald Trump would win with a whopping 47.91% to Winfrey's 23.95%, with a theoretical

third party candidate getting 14.83% and 13.31% of voters undecided.

Trump slams Oprah, hopes to see her 2020 run to 'expose and defeat'

President Donald Trump went after very insecure Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, tweeting

that he hopes to see her run for president so she can be exposed and defeated.

"Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview

a panel of people on 60 Minutes," Trump tweeted Sunday night.

"The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect.

Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!"

Winfrey appeared on CBS 60 Minutes leading a discussion with 14 people from Grand

Rapids, Mich.

Half of people from the group voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential election, the other

half did not.

The same group was interviewed on the program last year.

"One year into Donald Trump's presidency, Americans remain divided, often unwilling

to listen to what the other side has to say," Winfrey said.

Winfreys potential run for presidency was the subject of speculations following her

speech at the Golden Globes last month.

Her longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham said, It's up to the people whether she runs,

but added that she would absolutely do it."

Winfrey, for her part, denied considering a run in 2020.

She recently told CBS 60 Minutes Overtime that God has not yet told her to run for president.

If God actually wanted me to run, wouldn't God kinda tell me?

And I haven't heard that," Winfrey said.

Trump said last month that if Winfrey runs, he would beat her.

Yeah, Ill beat Oprah.

Oprah would be a lot of fun, he said, although adding that I know her very well.

I like Oprah.

I dont think shes going to run.

Trump urged to impose tariffs, quotas on steel, aluminum imports - Duration: 2:56.

Trump urged to impose tariffs, quotas on steel, aluminum imports

The Commerce Department has recommended that President Trump impose tariffs or quotas on

steel and aluminum imports from major supplying countries to protect U.S. national security.

Trump has 90 days to review the Commerce report and determine whether or not to follow Ross'

recommendations.

In a 262-page Commerce Department report published Friday, the ?agency gave Trump three choices

to protect the U.S. steel industry.

One is an across-the-board tariff of 24 percent on imports from all countries to the U.S.,

and another is a 53 percent tariff on ?imported steel from China, Brazil, South Korea, Vietnam,

and India, among other countries.

A third option is to impose a global quota that would limit countries to shipping 63

percent of the steel they shipped to the U.S. in 2017.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the surge of foreign metal imports has created a national

security risk? and left the American manufacturing community struggling.

?"Excessive steel imports have adversely impacted the steel industry," he wrote Friday.

"Numerous U.S. steel mill closures, a substantial decline in employment, lost domestic sales

and market share, and marginal annual net income for U.S.-based steel companies illustrate

the decline of the U.S. steel industry."

?Trump has regularly floated the idea of imposing tariffs and quotas on steel imports in an

effort to resuscitate U.S. production, a proposal that critics claim would hurt American consumers

and businesses.

The president faced backlash late last month for approving tariffs of up to 30 percent

on solar panels and washing machines.

Ross ?has also recommended ?that Trump impose ?a 7.7 percent tariff on all aluminum ?imports,

or a stiffer tariff ?of 23.6 percent placed on ?major exporters like China, Venezuela,

and Russia?.

A third option would be quotas equal to 86.7 percent of their 2017 exports.

BREAKING Trump's Going After the Clintons! - Duration: 18:51.

BREAKING: Trump's Going After the Clintons!

It went over the heads of most of the media, but just before Christmas, President Trump

made a move that very well may signal the beginning of the end for the Clintons and

their fellow swamp-dwellers.

Over the weekend, President Trump signed a new executive order explicitly declaring a

national "state of emergency."

At stake is putting an end to human rights abuses and corruption that harm innocent victims

around the world and damage American interests and national security.

The executive order is full of legal-speak, but Trump also wrote a letter to Congress

explaining the order and his reasoning.

That letter reads:

I hereby report that I have issued the enclosed Executive Order (the "order") declaring

a national emergency with respect to the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security,

foreign policy, and economy of the United States posed by serious human rights abuse

and corruption around the world.

The order blocks the property and interests in property of persons listed in the Annex

to the order.

It also blocks the property and interests in property of any foreign person determined

by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State and the Attorney

General…

The Annex to the order lists the 13 people Trump is specifically targeting with the order,

though others will certainly be impacted by it.

What's interesting is that many of those people have ties to the Clintons, the Clinton

Foundation, or Clinton associates.

Zerohedge spoke to an attorney who was consulted on the order.

He said the move targets not only the Clintons, but every corrupt politician in Washington

who has made shady deals with foreign bad guys.

"Virtually every lobbyist in DC has got to be in a cold sweat over

the

scope

of

this EO," he said.

Is Trump Administration leveraging trade pressure to North Korea pressure? - Duration: 2:26.

With yet more import restrictions on the horizon from Washington, this time in the name of

America's national security, the lines are being blurred between issues of geopolitics

and trade.

South Korea, a key U.S. ally, faces the prospect of tariffs tougher than those on other U.S.

partners, which raises some questions about what the Trump administration is trying to

do.

Our Cha Sang-mi takes a closer look.

The United States' ever stronger trade protection policies are causing concern for its trading

partners,... and South Korea -- considered a strong ally of the U.S. -- is no exception.

The U.S. has been using a variety of tactics to restrict imports, from anti-dumping rules

to recent safeguard measures against Korean-made steel and washing machines.

And with the recent thaw in relations between the two Koreas, some say too much pressure

on trade may hurt mutual cooperation on security.

"Theoretically, the national security and trade issues should be separate, but the Trump

Administration's policies demonstrate that the national security issue impacts the trade

issue."

The expert says Seoul and Washington do not see the links between the two issues in the

same way.

Another expert says trade and national security are two sides of the same coin, and that President

Trump may be trying to kill two birds with one stone by restricting imports from South

Korea.

"U.S. government or Mr. Trump are considering a solution all together - the North Korea's

nuclear threat problem and South Korea's trade continuous surplus against the United States

in a single shot."

The expert says the true intentions of the U.S. are revealed in the import restrictions

Washington continuously imposes on Seoul, taking into account the U.S. trade deficit

with South Korea is nowhere near the size of its deficits with Japan and China.

And it all comes back to the KORUS FTA, a six-year-old trade deal between Seoul and

Washington.

Experts say that taking into account Trump's remarks about withdrawing the United States

from the agreement back in September, and difficulties cooperating in terms of renegotiation,

the economic pressure could grow in the future.

Cha Sang-mi, Arirang News.

Seoul to give Ivanka Trump warm reception for South Korea trip - Duration: 2:17.

Ivanka Trump will be in South Korea for the Olympic closing ceremony.

Her visit could be a chance to convince Washington to allow inter-Korean talks.

Kwon Jang-ho explains how the Moon administration could be driven by a singular purpose when

welcoming America's first daughter.

Seoul is preparing a warm welcome for Ivanka Trump for her trip to South Korea later this

week.

She is set to arrive on Friday and stay for three nights.

The main purpose of her visit will be to lead the U.S. delegation at the closing ceremony

of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics on Sunday, where she is expected to be seated next to

President Moon Jae-in.

Foreign ministry officials have said that a separate meeting between the two is also

likely over the weekend.

There's also talk that President Moon, or another senior official, such as Seoul's foreign

minister Kang Kyung-wha, might accompany Ivanka Trump to Olympic events to support Team USA.

Seoul is also reportedly arranging events that are in line with her role as an advocate

for women's rights and empowerment.

It's unusual for the family member of a world leader to receive such treatment -- a foreign

ministry official has said that there are no official guidelines to help them prepare.

But Seoul's lavish reception of Kim Yo-jung , North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's sister,

who came as part of the North Korean delegation for the opening ceremony, has led to pressure

to provide similar hospitality to the U.S. first daughter.

Ivanka Trump is also considered to have her father's ear, and Seoul is looking to court

her potential influence, at a time when South Korea looks to orchestrate talks with North

Korea.

But observers aren't expecting too much from the visit.

"I don't think there should be any expectation, I think this should be about creating a good

mood and understanding.

I think we need to be careful not to go too far in overestimating her influence over the

President.

But at the same time I don't think it hurts the South Korean government to have a good

relationship with some of the closest advisors to President Trump, and Ivanka Trump clearly

is one of them."

When U.S. Vice President Mike Pence came for the opening ceremony, he met with a group

of North Korean defectors to highlight North Korea's human rights abuses.

A similar event might also be on the cards for Ivanka Trump to make a similar statement

and keep the pressure on Pyongyang.

Kwon Jang-ho, Arirang News.
