Trump news on Youtube Feb 24 2018

Our top story this afternoon...

The First Daughter of the United States, Ivanka Trump, is somewhere over the Pacific Ocean

at this hour... flying to South Korea to attend the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter

Olympics.

North Korea is sending another high level delegation to PyeongChang,... but the chances

of the U.S. and North Korean delegates meeting are said to be slim to none.

Our Blue House correspondent Hwang Hojun starts us off.

With the grand finale of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics just a couple of days away, Ivanka

Trump, the eldest daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, will arrive in South Korea on

Friday, leading the U.S. delegation.

The delegation includes the White House press secretary, the commander of U.S. Forces Korea

and a U.S. senator.

A senior adviser to her father, Ivanka Trump is scheduled to dine with President Moon Jae-in

at the Blue House soon after she arrives.

Her meeting with President Moon is garnering much attention as she will likely be carrying

a personal message from President Trump that may mention the possibility of dialogue between

the U.S. and North Korea.

A high-level delegation from the North will once again head to the South on Sunday,....

also to attend the closing ceremony.

Kim Yong-chol,... the Vice Chair of the Workers' Party of Korea's central committee, will lead

the eight-member delegation.

Kim's visit to South Korea is stirring controversy because he's suspected of being the mastermind

of two deadly attacks on South Korea in 2010 - the sinking of the Cheonan warship, killing

46 South Korean soldiers,.... and the shelling of Yeonpyeong-do Island, killing four South

Koreans.

So, while their stays will overlap,... the prospects of them meeting, let alone having

direct contact, seems highly unlikely; especially as both the Blue House and the White House

have ruled it out.

Dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea was incorrectly anticipated by some during

the opening ceremony of the quadrennial event, in which U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's younger sister Kim Yo-jong attended.

It was later reported that a secret meeting between the U.S. and the North Koreans was

canceled by Pyongyang at the last minute.

On Thursday local time, Pence slammed Kim Yo-jong, while giving an address at the Conservative

Political Action Conference, saying, quote, "the sister of Kim Jong-un is a central pillar

of the most tyrannical and oppressive regime on the planet."

He was unapologetic on the fact that he stayed seated when the North Korean athletes entered

the stadium, saying the U.S. quote "doesn't stand with murderous dictatorships."

BREAKING: President Trump Just Made HUGE Announcement - Duration: 8:09.

BREAKING: President Trump Just Made HUGE Announcement During the meeting with Parkland students

at the White House on Wednesday President Trump said arming teachers is a step that

can be taken to make schools less-attractive targets for attackers, Breitbart reports.

"Gun-free zone to a maniac—because they're all cowards—a gun-free zone is 'let's

go in and let's attack because bullets aren't coming back at us.

By adopting a policy where "20 percent" of teachers were armed would reduce or eliminate

the perception of weakness, making schools a riskier target to strike."Newsweek reported,

As well as arming teachers, Trump also said that his administration was going to be "very

strong on background checks," suggesting that he could raise the minimum age for purchasing

a firearm.

He also proposed opening more mental hospitals.

Arming teachers is a slippery slope and raising the minimum age to purchase a firearm is not

the answer, frankly, it goes against the 2nd Amendment and once you "adjust" an amendment

it becomes that much easier to do it again and again, until finally people will see a

whole new list of Bill of Rights.

The High School students that the President was talking too seemed to embrace the idea

of arming teachers in the hopes of preventing further school shootings.

"I'm not here to debate, but I lost my sister.

And like Mr. President said, if you could find 20% of maybe retired law enforcement

officers, or a teacher who could go through discreet training to carry a firearm around

his waist, it could've been a very different situation."

~ Hunter PollackDuring the almost two-hour session, Trump left the floor open for suggestions

to prevent school shootings.

One parent floated the idea of concealed-carry for teachers—an idea the president discussed

at length with support, noting the administration would look "very strongly" at the option.

His Thursday morning tweets seemed to double down on his earlier comments, even as he criticized

media coverage, FOX News reports.

"I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental

Health.

Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks!

Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue—I hope!"

The United States government already has countless "data agencies" that collect data on United

States civilians and then files the data for Law Enforcement agencies nationwide.

Creating more data collection for more detailed background checks, well lets just say that

will blow up in our faces.

Straight from FBI.gov on the many different "data collection" agencies:National Instant

Criminal Background Check System (NICS) The National Instant Criminal Background Check

System, or NICS, is all about saving lives and protecting people from harm—by not letting

guns fall into the wrong hands.

It also ensures the timely transfer of firearms to eligible gun buyers.

National Crime Information Center (NCIC) The National Crime Information Center, or NCIC,

has been called the lifeline of law enforcement—an electronic clearinghouse of crime data that

can be tapped into by virtually every criminal justice agency nationwide, 24 hours a day,

365 days a year.

It helps criminal justice professionals apprehend fugitives, locate missing persons, recover

stolen property, and identify terrorists.

It also assists law enforcement officers in performing their duties more safely and provides

information necessary to protect the public.

National Data Exchange (N-DEx) System The N-DEx system is an unclassified national information

sharing system that enables criminal justice agencies to search, link, analyze, and share

local, state, tribal, and federal records.

N-DEx is also a strategic investigative information sharing system that fills informational gaps

and provides situational awareness.

Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP) The Virtual Command Center/Special Interest Group

(VCC/SIG) program is a secure, Internet-based information sharing system available to agencies

around the world that are involved in law enforcement, first response, criminal justice,

anti-terrorism, intelligence, and related matters.

SIG and VCC members can access or share sensitive but unclassified information anytime and anywhere.

Both services are available on the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal to all LEEP users.

Biometrics Next Generation Identification (NGI) Collected by nationwide Fusion Centers.

Today, the term "biometrics" is not limited to fingerprints.

It also includes palm prints, irises, and facial recognition.

In an effort to harness new technologies, and to improve the application of tenprint

and latent fingerprint searches, the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)

Division developed and incrementally integrated a new system to replace the Integrated Automated

Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS).

This new system, the Next Generation Identification (NGI), provides the criminal justice community

with the world's largest and most efficient electronic repository of biometric and criminal

history information.

A fusion center is an information sharing center, many of which were jointly created

between 2003 and 2007 under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Office of Justice

Programs in the U.S. Department of Justice.

The National Security Agency (NSA) is a national-level intelligence agency of the United States Department

of Defense, under the authority of the Director of National Intelligence.

Blunt truth, civilians are monitored 24/7 all in the name of safety, people such as

Edward Snowden have risked their lives to provide the intel to show that the government

violates citizens legal rights as they "spy" on the public, all in the name of "safety".

As you can see, more agencies and more data collecting is not the answer, nor is it even

needed as clearly the government agencies collect everything, including the biometrics

through public safety and traffic cameras placed in every city and town in this nation.

Truth is, bad people do bad things and no amount of "data" will be able to prevent

an evil person from carrying out there intent.

Violating and stripping people of their amendments is not the answer.

Firearms are not an "epidemic" as mainstream media would have you believe, in the grand

scheme of things, firearm fatalities do not even break the top 10 causes of death in the

United States every year.

You want to know the leading causes?

Health is the # 1 killer in the United States EVERY YEAR.

People are so blind to the what poisons are actually in their foods, especially fast food.

the amount of chemicals and synthetics that is foods these days causes heart failures,

heart diseases and especially cancer.

Where is the outrage?

The FDA, aka government is well aware of what is in our foods, but they do nothing about

it, a lot of congressmen are deep in the food industry greed and paid off to look the other

way.

Sound ridiculous?

Google "aspartame" in the USA and that is just 1 epic cancer causing ingredient that

is allowed in the USA but banned almost everywhere in the world.

JUST IN: President Trump CAVES To Liberals On Gun Control - Duration: 5:43.

JUST IN: President Trump CAVES To Liberals On Gun Control

President Donald Trump directed Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday to finalize plans

to ban bump stocks, Breitbart reports.

President Trump had previously positioned himself as a champion for gun rights, throughout

his campaign and the first year as President of the United States but unfortunately he

is caving to liberals calling for gun control.Under current Federal Law, a person must be a minimum

of 18 to purchase a shotgun or rifle and must be 21 to purchase a handgun.

In the United States, anybody who wants to buy a gun from a federally licensed firearms

dealer (FFL) is subject to a background check.

Since 1998, when the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, went online.

AFF News article on NICS as well as a comprehensive list of government data collection agencies.

National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) The National Instant Criminal

Background Check System, or NICS, is all about saving lives and protecting people from harm—by

not letting guns fall into the wrong hands.

It also ensures the timely transfer of firearms to eligible gun buyers.

To purchase a firearm, a person is required to fill out the 6 page ATF form 4473. which

includes 16 questions relating to your background, drug use, and criminal history. The FFL dealer

obtains your current State Drivers License to fill out their portion of the ATF form

and then they are required to contact NICS and provide the information on the ATF form,

including your social security number.

The information is then ran through NICS to obtain either a "cleared" or "not cleared"

for firearm ownership.

Anything that makes a person too high-risk to possess a firearm, in the eyes of the law

which includes criminal and mental health history, dishonorable military discharges,

unlawful immigration status, an open warrant, a documented history of domestic violence,

and drug use.

The information is ran through 3 different data bases to obtain clearance or denial for

the individual.

If the check comes back clean, the FBI gives the sale a green light.

If it doesn't, the purchase is denied.

Sometimes the FBI seeks more information in order to make a final determination.

In those cases, the check is transferred to the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services

Division, where an examiner reaches out to local law enforcement and other state agencies. So

the argument that anyone can buy a "gun" and it is so easy and no real checks are in

place, is complete lies and propaganda.

So what are these evil "Bump Stocks" that mainstream media and anti-gun groups keep

going after and what do they actually do?

First thing to know is that a bump stock DOES NOT convert a semi-auto firearm into a full

auto machine gun.

That is a lie and a misconception my very uneducated people on firearm knowledge and

firearm mechanisms.

A bump stock is an accessory for a firearm, an accessory, not a "conversion device."

In other words, the devices are add-on accessories that allow a gun owner to briefly mimic automatic

fire but they do not convert the gun into an automatic firearm.

Bump stocks do not improve accuracy, in fact, it is the opposite, they are extremely inaccurate

and more of a spray-n-pray novelty as well as destroy the barrels due to intense amount

of heat.

As Breitbart previously reported, The devices are made for cheap thrills, literally.

They are $200 devices that can be affixed to a gun to allow the gun owner to mimic automatic

fire at the range.

Consider Vasquez–the former ATF official and Marine quoted earlier–who said: "[Bump

stocks are] for those guys who want to look like super ninja when they're out on the

range — they're the people my peer group makes fun of.

If you want a machine gun, join the Marines."

All this comes come together to reinforce the earlier point–bump stocks do not convert

semiautomatic firearms into automatic weapons.

Rather, they are for novelty and they work best for short bursts that mimic automatic

fire at the gun range.

Moreover, they render the gun less accurate.

How a bump stock actually functions: Bump stocks are simple pieces of equipment that

replace the stock of a rifle and add a small "support step" in front of the trigger.

The shooter rests his finger on this step and pulls forward on the barrel or forward

grip to press the trigger against his finger.

The recoil of the shot then propels the rifle backwards into a gap in stationary stock where

the loose fit gives the rifle freedom to bounce forward.

This, along with sustained forward pressure on the rifle, has the effect of 'bumping'

the trigger back into the shooter's unmoving finger.

So long as a shooter maintains forward pressure, the rifle will continue to fire at a rate

much faster than could be accomplished with even the quickest possible series of manual

trigger pulls.

As Breitbart reports, the Bump Fire Stock has only been used in 1 high profile case

in the United States and it is mainstream media and corrupt politicians that are pushing

the anti-gun groups agenda to ban them:

Bump stocks were not used in the February 14 attack in Florida.

Nor were they used in the Texas church attack (November 5, 2017), the Alexandria attack

(June 14, 2017), the Orlando attack (June 12, 2016), the San Bernardino attack (December

2, 2015), the Umpqua Community College attack (October 1, 2015), the Lafayette movie theater

attack (July 23, 2015), the Chattanooga attack (July 16, 2015), the Emanuel African Methodist

Episcopal attack (Jun 17, 2015), the Santa Barbara attack (May 23, 2014), the Fort Hood

attack (April 2, 2014), the D.C. Navy Yard attack (September 16, 2013), the Aurora movie

theater attack (July 20, 2012), the Gabby Giffords (January 8, 2011) attack, or the

Virginia Tech attack (April 16, 2007), among others.

In fact, the October 1, 2017, Las Vegas attack is the only high profile public attack in

which a bump stock was used criminally.

All the facts point to, the blunt truth and that is, this is NOT about bump stocks, it

is about the crack in the door to allow the snake inside, so they can go after the 2nd

amendment and ban ALL guns.

President Trump Shuts Down Obama's Most Prized Financial Possession, Sends Liberals Scrambling - Duration: 3:05.

President Trump Shuts Down Obama's Most Prized Financial Possession, Sends Liberals

Scrambling While members of the liberal echo chamber

look back glowingly on Obama's presidency as if it was flawless, the story back here

in reality is quite different.

Obama dropped a number of policies that hampered our nation as a whole, and they were completely

glossed over by a mainstream press that was more concerned with how enchanting his rhetoric

was during a speech or how sharp his golf game looked while on vacation.

Thankfully, President Donald Trump has been breaking out the dustpan whenever he can to

clean up Barack's liberal mess, and he just managed to sweep up another huge pile.

In short, Obama can officially kiss his financial legacy good-bye forever.

Daily Caller has the news.

The Trump administration unveiled a proposal Wednesday morning that would begin a substantive

roll back of the broad, Obama-era banking regulation Dodd Frank.

The Department of the Treasury released a 57-page proposal that does not fully repeal

Dodd Frank, keeping a crucial provision that allows the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation

(FDIC) to take control of an insolvent bank and restructure it using federal money.

The main purpose of Dodd-Frank was to prevent the failure of major banks.

The thinking behind that is that such a thing would lead to a massive financial crisis.

While Dodd-Frank may have prevented that from happening, it doesn't come close to address

the real issue.

When financial powerhouses aren't held accountable for their actions, they'll continue building

the house of cards as high as it can possibly go with nary a thought given to the possibility

that it can come tumbling down at any second.

Trump's proposal is a big step in the right direction, and the GOP-led Congress is on

board.

The proposal does address banks filing for Chapter 14 bankruptcy, arguing for a more

predictable, fair and streamlined process.

"The Chapter 14 framework would preserve the key advantage of the existing bankruptcy

process—clear, predictable, impartial adjudication of competing claims—while adding procedural

features tailored to the unique challenges posed by large, interconnected financial firms,"

the proposal states.

Under the proposal, shareholders, management level employees and creditors would be on

the hook for all losses under the bankruptcy filing.

In short, those responsible for the mess would be held accountable for their actions.

Isn't that the way it's supposed to be in the first place?

The Obama administration didn't seem to think so, but his successor's business background

knows that accountability is crucial in order for any economy to survive.

Beginning Of The End? 2nd Amendment Under Fire As Trump Makes Startling Announcement - Duration: 6:07.

Beginning Of The End?

2nd Amendment Under Fire As Trump Makes Startling Announcement

In the wake of the Florida school shooting, liberal pundits are calling for extreme bans

on gun ownership.

Now, it looks like the beginning of the end for our Second Amendment after President Donald

Trump made a stunning announcement, leaving many wondering, "Is he about to cave?"Most

of you know the facts.

Stricter gun control has never prevented violence.

In fact, the cities with the tightest gun control laws suffer the most.

Criminals do not follow gun laws and, thanks to "gun-free" zones, are able to kill

without fear.Yet, in the aftermath of this recent shooting, outlets like CNN have pushed

for extreme gun control.

They are even advocating for a complete ban on all firearms.

It's clear they are manipulating this attack and the emotions of many Americans to push

their toxic agenda.

Now, some wonder if President Trump is caving to gun control demands.

In a recent tweet, he called for stronger requirements for gun ownership, including

an age limit, denying young American adults their constitutional right.

This latest announcement has gun owners outraged and people questioning what's next.I will

be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health.

Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks!

Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue – I hope!"

Donald Trump tweeted. This comes as a surprise after President Trump's initial reaction

to the Parkland shooting.

In his address to the nation, Trump focused on comforting the victims and addressing the

real causes of mass shootings.

He especially focused on mental health and rebuilding our communities, and not once did

he mention guns.

Our administration is working closely with local authorities to investigate the shooting

and learn everything we can.

We are committed to working with state and local leaders to help secure our schools and

tackle the difficult issue of mental health.

Later this month, I will be meeting with the nation's governors and attorney generals,

where making our schools and our children safer will be our top priority.

[Source: Buzzfeed] His latest statement comes after he met with

families of the victims from Florida.

While some in attendance recommended better solutions — like arming teachers with concealed

firearms — the President still floated these much more liberal-sounding ideas.

During the almost two-hour session, Trump left the floor open for suggestions to prevent

school shootings.

One parent floated the idea of concealed-carry for teachers—an idea the president discussed

at length with support, noting the administration would look "very strongly" at the option.

His Thursday morning tweets seemed to double down on his earlier comments, even as he criticized

media coverage.

[Source: Fox News] Let's look at the President's recent statement.

Background checks are already in place.

People with criminal records cannot legally purchase firearms.

We also have long waiting periods and other hurdles that law-abiding citizens must endure.

"Mental health" checks won't do much, as not everyone with mental health problems

has those issues documented.

You also have to consider how gun sellers will be able to access health records in order

to sell guns.

Does that mean the government will compile a database on every American's mental health?

How is that going to happen, unless the government violates our privacy?

After all, your health is supposed to stay between you and your doctor.

What about people who had mental health issues in the past, like depression or other problems,

but are free and clear today?

That blight on their record might deny them access to firearms for the rest of their life.

Their rights will be infringed, and they will be much less safe.

Knowing this, it might actually discourage some from seeking help.

Why should teenagers, with no desires to do harm, be punished because of Nikolas Cruz?

There are plenty of Americans under the age of 21 who safely use firearms.

Most people learn about gun safety as children.

To deny them access to guns is a clear attempt by liberals to prevent future generations

from arming themselves.

Furthermore, isn't it a bit hypocritical to say 18-year-old men are able to be sent

off to war but can't be trusted with a firearm?

So, why would Trump suggest that?

And, we all know about bump stocks.

These devices do not turn firearms into "automatic weapons."

Even the Obama administration reviewed them and determined they did not need to be banned.

In fact, under certain circumstances, they are a useful aid for people with disabilities.

Banning them means many Americans will be denied the basic right to self-defense.

It's clear all the recommendations in Trump's recent tweet are terrible.

They will not prevent mass shootings.

They will only deny Americans access to firearms.

The only things that will prevent future deaths in schools are armed security and law enforcement

that actually responds to tips.Nikolas Cruz would have never been able to kill those people

had the FBI done their job.

And, if a few teachers were armed at Parkland, the death toll would have been null.

Perhaps President Trump knows these suggestions won't be enough for Democrats and this is

all a bluff as part of the "art of the deal."

If not, hopefully, Trump and the GOP will come to their senses before the Second Amendment

is destroyed for good.

Trump's DC Hotel Fined Millions For Stiffing Contractors - Duration: 3:16.

If you're wondering how a guy like Donald Trump, with as many failures as he's had throughout

his entire professional career, has been able to make so much money, well, here's a good

hint.

He doesn't pay his bills.

According to a new report, shortly before his inauguration in 2017, in December of 2016,

a lien was placed against Trump Properties for work done on their D.C. hotel for which

they failed to pay a nearly $3 million tab to a construction company that was working

on HVAC, water services, and sewer services for the construction of that hotel.

The day before Trump's inauguration, so on January 19, 2017, Donald Trump had to personally

make a phone call to the owner of the construction company to settle this $3 million debt.

Donald Trump, if you ever wanted a story that really paints a clear picture of what kind

of a horrible person he is, this is it.

Donald Trump doesn't like to pay his bills.

He owed this contractor, who, by the way, was a Trump supporter and voted for Trump,

owed him $3 million and refused to pay until this group went to court to get him to pay

up.

And the sick, sad, twisted thing is that this guy, who Trump owed $3 million, still claims

to be a Trump supporter even though he stiffed him on a $3 million bill and wouldn't pay

up until the courts got involved.

But that's how Donald Trump operates.

He is not an honest human being.

He's certainly not an honest businessman, yet people in this country, for some reason,

seem to think that he's one of the best there is.

No.

You have to pay your bills, because guess what?

Recent reports have shown us that average American citizens are beginning to go to prison

for failure to pay their private debts.

Not court fees, not things like that that you could be thrown in jail for, but just,

if you're behind on your credit card payments, they're starting to put those people in prison.

Yet, you get a guy like Donald Trump who can owe $3 million to a construction company and

nothing happens.

He gets to make a phone call himself and say, "Hey, we'll figure this out.

I've got to go.

I'm about to be inaugurated as President of the United States."

Not to mention the fact that during this whole time, weren't Eric and Don Jr. the ones supposed

to be running the company?

Trump himself had said, long before this lien was even placed in the court, that he had

already handed over control of the companies to Eric and Don Jr.

So either he was completely lying about that, or Eric and Don Jr. are even dumber than we

thought.

Personally, I think both of them happen to be true.

Marco Rubio and President Trump Stumble Through Gun Control Debates: The Daily Show - Duration: 5:50.

Rubio tried his best to explain his positions,

but you could tell that he was totally

out of sync with the rest of the room.

On the issue that you've raised about the background checks,

relate directly to what you said about the assault weapons ban.

It's not the loopholes; it's the problem

that once you start looking at how easy it is

to get around it, you would literally have to ban

every semi-automatic rifle that's sold in America.

(cheering and applause)

Fair enough. Fair enough.

Okay. Okay. Uh...

Okay. I see I just, uh, made your point.

Okay. Okay.

That was such an epic fail.

Like, Rubio said the solution like it was the problem.

Yeah? You know what this reminded me of?

It reminded me of the reaction a lot of men had

to the #MeToo movement. You know, when people were like,

"If we carry on like this we're gonna live in a world

"where men can't even hit on their female staff, huh?

"Oh, that-that is what we want?

"Okay. Okay, fair enough.

I misunderstood. I-I misunderstood. Okay."

(cheering, applause)

Now... now, usually, town halls are just an opportunity

for politicians to spin the narrative

and get their own talking points out, but these kids--

these kids held Rubio's feet to the fire so hard

that they got him to do something

that most conservatives hate:

evolve.

I traditionally have not supported re...

looking at magazine clip size.

And after this, and some of the details I've learned about it,

I'm reconsidering that position, and I'll tell you why.

(applause)

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie-- I'm-I'm surprised that

these heckling teenagers got Rubio to change his mind.

Maybe bullying isn't that bad after all.

In fact, in fact, maybe that's how you get

the rest of America's lawmakers to do anything.

Move the floor of Congress

to the middle of a coliseum, right? Yeah, and then,

best believe they'll start getting things done.

And then every time they try and filibuster,

we'd just be like, "Release the lions!"

And McConnell will be like,

"I don't want to be eaten by a lion again. Come on, guys.

"Let's just figure this out. Come on. Ba...

Hey, slow down, buddy, I'm all skin. Ba..."

Now, President Trump didn't come the town hall in Florida,

but he did host his own listening session

in the Mar-a-Lago of the north: the White House.

And, for once, the president came fully prepared,

even bringing a note

to tell him what emotions to feel.

See there, number five: "I hear you."

And you know what?

I feel bad for Donald Trump.

Because you know we would have never seen that note

if he just had bigger hands. We would have...

We wouldn't have seen those words.

(cheering, applause)

But seriously, though... seriously...

seriously, the guy... the guy's a stable genius

but he can't remember to say "I hear you?"

It's a listening session.

Like, I feel like Trump just brought the same notes

he has been using every time he talks to Melania.

Just like, "Donald, are you having an affair?"

"First off, let me just say, I hear you."

Now, yesterday, people mocked Trump for needing crib notes

to sound like a human being, but to be honest,

I prefer Trump using notes.

Because when doesn't use them, like today,

he starts saying shit like this.

I think a concealed permit for having teachers

and letting people know that there are people in the building

with gun, you won't have, in my opinion, you won't have

these shootings, 'cause these people are cowards.

They're not gonna walk into a school

if 20% of the teachers have guns.

It may be ten percent or maybe 40%.

And what I'd recommend doing is the people that do carry,

we give them a bonus. We give them a little bit of a bonus.

(audience groans)

Man. Am...

America... America really is a special place.

For years... for years, teachers have been asking for more pay,

and politicians have said they don't have enough money,

but now the president's like, "Uh, if you're willing

to cap some fools, we're gonna make it rain, yeah."

And I... I like how President Trump

calls it a bonus, too.

Can you imagine teachers after a shooting being like,

"Oh, my God, I-I can't believe I had to shoot someone."

It's like, "Yes, it's the hardest thing

"you'll ever have to do. And that's why

"you've earned this Jamba Juice gift card.

There you go. Get yourself something nice."

Like, there are so many practical issues with this plan

that I don't even know where to begin. But, honestly,

it's not even worth going through them all.

Because once you decide that Ms. Flanderson

needs to be locked and loaded during English class,

you're not trying to solve the problem anymore,

you're admitting defeat.

And, look, I get... I get that people are worried

about school shootings. And I get that some people

think that if teachers have guns

they can keep their students safe.

But you do realize there are organizations

that are training teachers to use guns,

and it might not be the perfect solution that you think.

-Drop your gun! -REPORTER: This is the point of view

of an elementary school principal.

(gunshots)

Firing at a mock gunman during a simulated school shooting.

During this training I saw one person

shoot what would have been a student in a scenario.

When you see that, does it make you second-guess

this choice to have guns in schools?

No.

It's an accident, we might take one,

but we might have saved 30, 40 other kids.

(audience groans)

Good lord.

America just went from "No child left behind"

to "Sometimes little Timmy gotta get got."

Like, I'm just saying if I was sending my kids to school,

I wouldn't want the principal to have the same rules as Omar.

Psst, President Trump, We Can See Your Empathy Card - Duration: 4:45.

YESTERDAY, PRESIDENT TRUMP MET WITH SURVIVORS FROM LAST WEEK'S

FLORIDA TRAGEDY AND HE LISTENED TO THEIR HEART WRENCHING

STORIES, AND THEIR IDEAS ON GUN CONTROL.

MANY PEOPLE NOTICED THAT TRUMP WAS HOLDING A NOTE CARD.

TAKE A LOOK.

HE HAD WRITTEN REMINDERS TO SAY THINGS LIKE, "WHAT WOULD YOU

MOST WANT ME TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE?"

AND, "I HEAR YOU."

(LAUGHTER) >> James: BUT IT'S NOT

UNUSUAL FOR SOMEONE TO HOLD REMINDER CARDS.

ALTHOUGH IT WAS A LITTLE CONCERNING THAT HIS TALKING

POINTS WERE FACING AWAY FROM HIM.

YOU KNOW HE'S LOOKING DOWN AT THE BLANK BACK-SIDE OF THAT CARD

GOING, OH NO, I FORGOT MY LIST OF COMMON HUMAN EMOTIONS.

(LAUGHTER) .

>> James: BUT I THINK THIS IS ONE OF THOSE

TIMES-- IN FACT, IT'S THE FIRST TIME-- AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M

SAYING THIS, BUT I THINK WE SHOULD PRAISE DONALD TRUMP HERE.

SITTING THERE ON CAMERA, LISTENING TO THOSE KIDS "BEING

ENGAGED," HE WAS TRULY ACTING PRESIDENTIAL.

THAT WAS A GOOD THING TO DO.

THIS IS PROGRESS.

I REALLY REALLY IS.

SO LET'S SEE HOW HE'S DOING TODAY.

>> PRESIDENT TRUMP, LINK BEING ARMS WITH THE NATIONAL RIFLE

ASSOCIATION, SHOWING SUPPORT WITH THE NRA.

>> JAMES: OH, YOU WERE SO CLOSE, DONALD!

SO CLOSE!

I KNOW WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GUN CONTROL, BUT AT THE VERY

LEAST, TRUMP'S TWITTER ACCOUNT SHOULD HAVE A MANDATORY 48-HOUR

WAITING PERIOD!

(LAUGHTER) >> James: HE THEN TWEETED

TODAY, "I NEVER SAID GIVE TEACHERS GUNS, WHAT I SAID WAS

TO LOOK AT THE POSSIBILITY OF GIVING 'CONCEALED

GUNS TO GUN-ADEPT TEACHERS WITH MILITARY OR SPECIAL TRAINING

EXPERIENCE.'" HAS TRUMP EVER MET A TEACHER?

IS (LAUGHTER)

>> James: LET ME TELL YOU, THE GUY WHO'S

BEEN TRYING TO EXPLAIN GEOMETRY TO TEENAGERS FOR THE LAST 35

YEARS IS PROBABLY NOT THE CALM COOL GUY YOU WANT ROAMING THE

HALLWAYS WITH A HOLSTER.

HE'S LIKE "NOP!

THAT'S THE RADIUS OF THE CIRCLE, NOT THE DIAMETER!"

TRUMP SAID HE WANTS TO ARM, "GUN-ADEPT TEACHERS WITH

MILITARY OR SPECIAL TRAINING EXPERIENCE."

IS THAT WHAT WE NEED?

FORMER NAVY SEALS TEACHING KINDERGARTNERS HOW TO

FINGER-PAINT CAMOUFLAGE ONTO THEIR FACES?

MOVING ON, A NEW REPORT FROM THE UNITED NATIONS SUGGESTS THAT

WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD DO 2.6 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF UNPAID

HOUSEHOLD WORK THAT MEN DO.

AND TODAY THEY REVEALED THAT MEN DO 2.6 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF

"CHANGING THE SUBJECT."

(LAUGHTER) >> James: YES!

SOME GUY JUST SAID YEAH.

WAY TO REALLY LOSE THE ROOM, BRO!

(LAUGHTER) YEAH AND ALL THE WOMEN WENT --

A U.N. OFFICIAL SAID, "IF WOMEN STOPPED DOING A LOT OF THE WORK

THEY DO UNPAID, THEN THE WHOLE ECONOMY WOULD COLLAPSE."

BUT WOMEN SAY THEY DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN.

BECAUSE THEN THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLEAN THAT UP, AS WELL!

(LAUGHTER) >> James: AND FINALLY IN

CANADIAN NEWS, AND AS THEY CALL IT IN CANADA, NEWS,

, A POLICE DEPARTMENT HAD TO ISSUE A CORRECTION AFTER ONE OF

THEIR OFFICERS MISINFORMED A GROUP OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABOUT MARIJUANA, TELLING THEM THAT SMOKING POT INCREASES THE

SIZE OF MEN'S BREASTS.

WELL, TECHNICALLY HE'S NOT WRONG GUYS.

IF YOU GET THE MUNCHIES AND EAT SEVEN BAGS OF DORITOS, YOUR

BOOBS WILL GET BIGGER.

THE OFFICER TOLD STUDENTS THAT MARIJUANA LOWERS TESTOSTERONE

AND REFERRED TO THE PHENOMENON AS, AND I PROMISE YOU WE'RE NOT

MAKING THIS UP.

"DOOBIES MAKE BOOBIES."

HE ALSO MENTIONED OTHER PHENOMENA LIKE, "A BONG WILL

SHRINK YOUR SCHLONG," "STONERS CAN'T GET BONERS," AND "SMOKIN'

THE GREEN DESTROYS THE PEEN."
