President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani has said that the rebuttal he is preparing to special counsel Robert Mueller will seek to discredit the President's many familiar foes who were involved in various stages of the investigation

'You're d**ned right we are. I can't imagine how we wouldn't' target the various personalities involved, Giuliani told the Huffington Post on Friday, after Trump announced the 'major counter report'

 FBI lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, high DOJ official Bruce Ohr and his Democrat consultant wife Nellie, and British ex-spy Christopher Steel, who authored the 'dirty dossier' for Hillary Clinton's campaign, are all said to be prime subjects of Giuliani's report

'I could write a whole book,' Giuliani said of the various players involved, saying he planned to lay out an argument that the investigation was tainted by partisanship and illegitimate surveillance of the Trump campaign from the very beginning

' 'We will be doing a major Counter Report to the Mueller Report. This should never again be allowed to happen to a future President of the United States!' Trump added

 Giuliani confirmed the draft report is approximately 87 pages at present, but noted it could run longer or shorter when released, depending on what Mueller publishes and what responses Trump's team includes

 The report will likely make the case that Mueller's probe has its origins in the dossier that Steele was hired to write by lawyers for Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee, alleging links between Trump and Russia

  Steele's contact at the Department of Justice was Bruce Ohr, whose wife Nellie Ohr was hired to conduct opposition research on Trump for Democrat-financed consultancy Fusion GPS, which also contracted the Steele dossier

Giuliani will likely argue that that the Democrat-financed Steele dossier was funneled into the DOJ by Ohr and formed the main evidence that partisan FBI investigators used to obtain surveillance warrants on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page - a claim investigators have denied

Strzok and Page will also come under scrutiny in Giuliani's report. Strzok led the FBI's investigation into Russian election interference before becoming the top agent on Mueller's team after the special counsel was appointed

Text messages between Strzok and lover Page, an FBI lawyer, revealed strong anti-Trump sentiments and a cryptic reference to an 'insurance policy' against a Trump presidency

Strzok was fired and Page resigned from the FBI, and in testimony they both strongly denied that any political bias affected their work

Giuliani's report is also likely to take aim at fired FBI Director James Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, painting them as partisans who planted the seeds of the Russia investigation to damage Trump's candidacy and presidency, which they deny

In addition to the attack on the probe's legitimacy, Giuliani said he also plans to make legal arguments, including that Trump is immune from obstruction charges while acting in his legal capacity as president

 Trump's firing of Comey in May 2017, which led to the appointment of Mueller, could not be obstruction of justice, Giuliani argued

  'As a matter of law, there can't be obstruction in this case,' he told HuffPo

Responding to the charge that prior to firing him Trump had asked Comey to go easy in investigating his national security advisor Mike Flynn, Giuliani said that Trump had merely made a polite request because he believed Flynn's innocence

'In obstruction, you don't have 'please.' It's usually: 'I'll break your legs,' Giuliani said, noting that Comey had continued investigating Flynn

'It's sure as hell not very effective obstruction.'

President Donald Trump gave Robert Mueller and the White House press corps a brush back

pitch on Friday.

Speaking to reporters the president said that it was he, and not his attorneys, that answered

questions from Mueller and that they were simple, The Daily Mail reported.

President Trump says that he responded to the special counsel's written questions

— not his lawyers— and that he did so quite easily.

'They were my answers — I don't need lawyers to do that,' he told a reporter

asking about a Washington Post story that quoted one of his attorneys.

Rudy Giluliani had said that the president's attorneys were working with him on the answers

to make sure he didn't fall into a perjury trap.

'There are some that create more issues for us legally than others,' he told the

Post.

Trump gave him a brush back as he unexpectedly invited reporters into the Oval Office on

Friday for a bill signing.

'My lawyers aren't working on that, I'm working on that.

My lawyers don't write the answers, I write the answers,' he insisted.

Without revealing the content of the questions, Giuliani told The Post that some of them were

'unnecessary' or 'irrelevant' and others were 'possible traps.'

The president acknowledged Friday that a person could be 'tripped up' by questions with

apparently simple responses based on whether it was sunny or it was raining.

'It was raining therefore he told a lie.

He perjured himself,' Trump mimicked.

'You have to always be careful when you answer questions from people who probably

have bad intentions.'

The Post and others reported that Trump is in a dark mood, and that's why he's kept

his distance over the past week, barely leaving the White House, and sent out tweets accusing

Mueller of witness intimidation.

'I'm not agitated.

It's a hoax,' Trump said Friday, slapping the rumors down.

He told assembled press, 'I'm very happy with the White House.'

'I'm extremely happy,' he repeated.

'I'm very happy with almost all of my Cabinet.

You know changes are made because they're always made after the midterms.

But it's all fake news.'

Reports this week also claimed that Trump was thinking of booting his Homeland Security

Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who was in the Oval Office on Friday for Trump's remarks.

He admitted that he was considering it in an interview with The Daily Caller and said

he'd make a decision shortly.

Nielsen was still in her job on Friday as the president set his sights on an old target.

He alleged in tweets ranging over several hours that the special counsel's office

is full of 'thugs' who are intimidating potential witnesses and refusing to probe

Democrats' bad acts.

'The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess.

They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts,' he claimed in a rage on

Thursday morning.

'They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with

the answers they want.'

Where the president derived the information from is unclear, but the charge coincided

with reports that he'd been meeting with his legal team this week in Washington to

review written responses to questions posed by the special counsel that Trump intends

to submit to Mueller.

He is also working with a new acting attorney general, Matt Whitaker, who he put in charge

of the Russian meddling investigation when he dismissed ex-Justice Department

head Jeff Sessions.

Donald's making major changes – Americans will be seeing 3 new faces a lot in 2019.

After the intense 2018 midterms, Trump has been making some major changes to his White

House, like most Presidents do.

And he's got 3 big ones that have been highly anticipated.

Firebrand U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley announced she is departing for personal reasons.

Now we know Trump is picking a rising star to take her place.

President Donald Trump will name State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert as U.N. Ambassador

to replace Nikki Haley, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

Nauert, who was also a former Fox News anchor, has enjoyed the trust of Secretary of State

Mike Pompeo, Ivanka Trump, and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Her close relationship with key Trump players is a good sign.

She will not be a loose cannon, or fall prey to anti-Trumpers, who still lurk in D.C.

But that's not all.

Once the midterms settled, we learned that Attorney General Jeff Sessions was leaving

his post.

While Sessions successfully led the DOJ—especially in confronting illegal immigration—he made

a huge mistake early on.

He recused himself from the FBI's Russian probe, leading to the ongoing Mueller mess.

That was enough for Trump to ask for his resignation.

Word has reached us that Trump has picked his replacement.

And—shocker—he's been Attorney General before!

President Donald Trump confirmed Friday that he will nominate William Barr as his new Attorney

General.

Barr served as Attorney General during the George H.W. Bush administration from 1991-1993,

unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate.

He is currently an attorney for Washington, DC law firm Kirkland and Ellis.

Barr once wrote that Trump was right to fire James Comey from the FBI.

It appears he has a similar view on the Justice Department as the president.

The fact that Barr served another respected, conservative president is a good sign.

He has experience and know-how to lead the DOJ effectively.

Perhaps he will have the guts to fire Mueller and bring this ridiculous Russian witch hunt

to an end.

But then the biggest shoe dropped today, and this one's been a long time coming.

President Trump has not been getting along great with his Chief of Staff John Kelly.

Word has come down that he will be officially stepping down and making way for another man

already in the White House.

His expected replacement is Nick Ayers, the young chief of staff to Vice President Mike

Pence.

Ayers is a 36-year-old political wunderkind; Kelly is a 68-year-old decorated vet.

President has been telling aides to reach out to Ayers if they need things.

Clearly, President Trump is looking to fix a few problems in the White House.

He had a Chief of Staff who was so fixed in his ways, he would not follow Trump's direction

and their relationship was pretty broken.

Now he's got a young guy with lots of energy and new ideas, but also respect for the President.

He also had an Attorney General who was an experienced politician but didn't have the

foresight to head off the Mueller witch hunt.

Now he's got someone more supportive of Trump with experience as the Attorney General.

Big changes for the White House for 2019 – and they're looking like smart moves

so far.

Subpoenas For Trump Coming Soon In Emoluments Lawsuit - Duration: 3:51.

It's not very often that we actually get to report on any good news happening in this

country, but earlier this week we got some really good news from a federal judge who

ruled that the emoluments case lawsuits against Donald Trump in both Maryland and the district

of Columbia.

Not only can they go forward, but they can go ahead and start with subpoenas and the

discovery process.

This means that this case is pretty much going to be headed to trial in the very near future.

And you know what though, even if it doesn't end up heading to trial, the fact that discovery

has begun might be all that we need because the, uh, um, attorneys, General Maryland and

district Columbia, they know exactly what they're doing.

They know that they don't have to bring this to trial to be successful.

All they have to do, all they had to do was get to that discovery point where they could

then subpoena documents from the Trump organization documents that had been without a scrutiny

for years and now they have access to them.

That is what this judge ruled this week.

It's time.

Go for it.

Make it happen, and in case you're not familiar with these emoluments cases, what's happened

is that Donald Trump's properties that he owns, he still has a financial stake in them.

He still owns them for all we know.

He might even still be running them, but he gets a cut of the profits.

So when you have foreign dignitaries coming and staying in these hotels are on these properties

or even at his golf courses, uh, any money spent there eventually makes its way back

to Trump in the form of profits.

So it is illegal according to the emoluments clause of the US Constitution for a sitting

president to take any form of emoluments, cash, gift, whatever it is, from a foreign

dignitary, by them staying in Trump's hotels and paying, you know, their nightly rate,

that profit goes back to Trump.

That is an illegal emoluments.

Sounds complicated.

Sounds silly at times, but that's the law.

That's why presidents are supposed to divest everything they have.

They're not supposed to have interest in any business in the United States to avoid these

constitutional problems.

Donald Trump didn't do that.

He still gets the profits.

Now, what could happen from this, and this is a long shot, probably never would have

a chance of ever really happening, but I'm going to throw it out there just in the off

chance it does.

If these lawsuits are successful, Donald Trump would be forced to sell off his businesses

to get rid of any financial stake that he hasn't any Trump property around the world.

He'll never do that.

He already sees the walls closing in on him with a muller investigation, with all of the

other investigations than New York investigation.

But this one, this one has a lot of power to force him to leave office on his own because

when it comes down to whether or not he wants to make money or be president, Trump is going

to choose money every single time.

Hell, that's why he ran for president.

He's making a ton of money right now.

A lot of it off the backs of American taxpayers, so if they force him through these lawsuits

to sell off his properties and no longer have a financial interest in them, combined with

all of the other pressure coming on him from the other side, I firmly believe that if that

were to happen, he would step down and say, no, my businesses are too important.

I need to do this.

This is for the workers are those, uh, you know, companies, the businesses, I've got

to protect them so I'm doing this for them.

Whatever his excuses are, there is however slight the potential of this case, the force

that man to resign.
