Trump news on Youtube Dec 19 2018

Melania Trump and her husband, President Donald Trump, have unveiled their official White

House Christmas portrait ahead of the holiday.

The festive photo was shared on FLOTUS's Instagram account on Tuesday and shows the president

and first lady holding hands in the Cross Hall of the White House, which is filled with

Christmas trees decorated with red ball ornaments.

Melania, 48, looks stunning in a shimmering sequin gown by Céline, which she paired with

pointed-toe stilettos.

The first lady's form-fitting dress features long sleeves, a mock turtleneck, and a hemline

that stops right above her ankles.

Her caramel-colored hair is worn down in loose waves around her shoulders, which has become

somewhat of her signature style.

While she is dazzling in white, her 72-year-old husband is donning a classic black tux and

a smile on his face as he poses with his wife.

'Merry Christmas from President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

@realdonaldtrump & @FLOTUS are seen Saturday, December 15, in their official 2018 Christmas

portrait, in the Cross Hall of the White House in Washington, D.C.

(Official White House Photo by Andrea Hanks),' reads the caption on the Instagram post.

The White House released two official portraits, and the second is a close-up version of the

full-length photograph that was shared on Melania's Instagram page.

In the second image, the couple's smiles are outshining the holiday decor, which can still

be seen in the background.

The couple chose to pose in front of the traditional Christmas trees in the Cross Hall instead

of the red cranberry trees that were mercilessly mocked on social media.

When this year's White House Christmas decorations were first unveiled, critics calls the red

trees 'creepy' and compared them to everything from the red handmaids dresses worn by the

women forced into sexual slavery in The Handmaid's Tale and the blood that flows down the hallway

in the 1980 horror film The Shining.

However, Melania made it clear during a recent interview that she is a fan of red trees,

which were a part of her 'American Treasures' holiday decor.

'We are in the 21st century and everyone has different tastes, but I think they look fantastic,'

she said.

'I hope everyone will come over and visit it.

In real life, they look even more beautiful.'

White House photographer Andrea Hanks took the official White House portrait last Saturday

during the Congressional Ball that was held in the grand foyer of the White House.

Melania was by her husband's side as they made a grand entrance as the band played Hail

to the Chief.

Trump addressed the crowd with a four-minute speech celebrating his two years in office,

claiming 'no administration has done more in the first two years than the Trump administration.'

He welcomed the audience to enjoy the 'special' grandeur of the White House adding that he

and Melania love living there.

'To me, it's a happy place,' he said, adding that it 'is an incredible place to be.'

He later wished the crowd a happy Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year and passed the mic

to Melania, who he commended for doing 'a job well done' with the decorations.

'Welcome to the White House.

Enjoy the evening.

Merry Christmas and happy and healthy New Year,' the beaming first lady said.

Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence were also in attendance at the

ball, as were the president's daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner.

The president was all smiles in his tuxedo and didn't break a sweat as he talked about

his 'great' two years in office, despite the looming probe by special counsel Robert Mueller

into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential elections.

However, Melania and Trump didn't linger for long and headed back upstairs just 29 minutes

after arriving.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, body language expert Judi James revealed that while

their poses seemed similar to the previous year, there was some striking differences.

When quizzed about how it compared to last year's snap, she said: "Eerily nothing

seems to have changed about their body language apart from Melania's style of dress and the

fact that they are now many paces closer to the viewer.

"In 2017 the pair posed close to the White House door as though barely able to believe

they were residents.

"Now fully integrated, the 'Imposter Syndrome' look appears to have worn off although their

body language is almost identical to the year before."

She added: "The couple stand rigid and formal with a suggestion of more shoulder tension

back in 2017.

"Trump's smile back then looked hugely over-congruent, a rigid rictus of a grin that is slightly

more relaxed in 2018."

Donald Trump Jr. attended the soiree with his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, who posted

a picture of the couple on Instagram.

By the time Christmas Day comes and goes, Trump will have attended 21 Christmas parties

for a total of 52 hours, according to New York Magazine.

White House sources have revealed that Trump hates attending Christmas parties as part

of his presidential duties — especially when it comes to taking photos and shaking

hands.

'It's just a lot,' one senior White House official told the site.

'They're hosting all these people, half of whom they don't know.'

'He just gets impatient.

He likes to go, go, go.

Sitting through things, he gets restless.'

Embattled Trump Foundation forced to dissolve itself under court supervision - Duration: 4:30.

President Trump's embattled charitable foundation has agreed to dissolve itself under judicial supervision as part of a lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood

The Trump Foundation had previously sought to dissolve on its own terms but has now signed a stipulation that requires it to do so with monitoring by the court and oversight by the attorney general's office, which must review and approve disbursements of remaining funds to make sure the recipients are legitimate

"Today's stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year," said New York Attorney General (NYAG) Barbara Underwood in a statement

"Under the terms, the Trump Foundation can only dissolve under judicial supervision – and it can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations approved by my office

" The attorney general's lawsuit alleged that the president and his three eldest children, who served as members of the foundation's board, repeatedly used charitable donations for personal, political and business gains, including legal settlements, campaign contributions and even to purchase a portrait of Trump to hang at one of his hotels

The alleged conduct, Underwood said, "amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr

Trump's business and political interests." Yet an attorney for the Trump Foundation had a sharply different take on the matter

In a statement released in response to the attorney general's comments, Trump Foundation attorney Alan Futerfas accused Underwood's office of "politicizing" the matter

"Contrary to the NYAG's misleading statement issued earlier today, the Foundation has been seeking to dissolve and distribute its remaining assets to worthwhile charitable causes since Donald J

Trump's victory in the 2016 Presidential election," Futerfas' statement said. "Unfortunately, the NYAG sought to prevent dissolution for almost two years, thereby depriving those most in need of nearly $1

7 million." Futerfas went on to contend that in the past decade the foundation has distributed about $19 million to 700 different charitable organizations

Shortly after the Futerfas statement was released, Underwood shot back with a follow-up statement of her own, insisting that the foundation wanted to dissolve itself, but that the dissolution required government oversight

"Given the Trump Foundation's egregious pattern of illegality -— including repeatedly using charitable assets for unlawful purposes -— that was unacceptable," an Underwood spokesperson said in the follow-up statement

"That's why AG Underwood's suit demanded dissolution under court supervision, with our office's oversight of how the charitable assets will be distributed — and that's exactly what we achieved with the Trump Foundation's concession today

The lawsuit is also seeking restitution, as well as prohibiting Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr

from serving on the boards of charities for the next 10 years. An attorney for the president has argued that the case is politically motivated, an argument the judge rejected as recently as last month when he turned down an attempt to get the case dismissed

Rudy Giuliani Admits Trump Has Been LYING About Campaign Finance Violations - Duration: 4:11.

On Sunday, Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, appeared on ABC news with George Stephanopoulos

to talk about Donald Trump's increasing legal problems.

Uh, Giuliani though throughout the interview seemed to suggest that yes, Donald Trump has

been lying this whole time about the payments made to stormy Daniels.

What he knew when he knew it, and if he was even involved as it stands right now, Trump

has changed his story about half a dozen times.

The latest is that hell yeah, we made the payments.

It's just that that was a private transaction, you know, person, a paying person, be some

money for no particular reason whatsoever.

So they're not even denying that the payments took place in Trump's not even denying that

he knew had happened.

So Giuliani is having to go through and play cleanup because he's, he's doing his best

to not be the worst lawyer in the country, but he's still failing spectacularly.

Because during the interview with George Stephanopoulos, he told him that, yeah, Trump story has changed

a lot, but he wasn't under oath when he said any of these things.

So it doesn't matter.

You know, he can lie to the public as long as he's not lying under oath and everything's

cool at that point, right?

No, no.

Rudy, no.

Do you realize that everything your client, Donald J Trump says on Twitter, says in an

interview that can all be used against him because it's all about credibility.

So when this thing, if this thing finally goes to a trial and the prosecutors would

easily be able to prove that, look, he lied here, here, here, story changed.

Story changed.

Story Change.

That's not going to bode well for you.

Your interview with George Stephanopoulos where you say that it's okay for him to lie

because he wasn't under oath.

That's not going to bode well for you.

You've destroyed your own credibility as well as the credibility of your client.

I mean, this is legal malpractice at its finest and yet Trump still thinks you are doing a

hell of a job.

Giuliani went on to say that part of the reason Trump story keeps changing is because his

memory's just really bad.

He then said that he himself, Giuliani was there at some of these things and even he

can't recall exactly what happened.

So I guess at this point we're just dealing with two demented, possibly Alzheimer's suffering

senior citizens who, gosh darn it, they just can't remember what kind of crimes they were

committing.

Which day is a crazy day.

A lot of crimes.

Ah, I don't even know.

That's the best defense that Rudy Giuliani can come up with to defend the president of

the United States.

You know, sometimes this administration just makes it a little too easy on the opposition,

and Giuliani certainly isn't doing the president

any favors.
