Trump news on Youtube Dec 19 2018

I jam it sullivan on tuesday delayed the sentencing of michael Flynn after

threatening president Donald Trump's former national security adviser with

prison time the retired u-s army lieutenant general had been expected to

be sentenced in u.s District Court in Washington DC for lying about his

communications with Russian officials as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's

ongoing probe into foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election the

former national security adviser who was fired by Trump after just 21 days in the

position for lying to vice president Mike Pence about his conversations with

the Russian ambassador to the u.s appeared for sentencing at 11 a-m ET

supported by his wife son and several of his eight siblings flynn has come under

intense scrutiny by federal prosecutors over his lobbying firms failure to

disclose its work on behalf of foreign governments according to CNN Flynn was

jovial when he walked into the courtroom greeting his family and friends with a

smile and saying you made it however the news outlet reports that the

mood visibly shifted in the room after Sullivan condemned Flynn for acting as

an unregistered agent while serving in the White House and lying to

investigators saying Flynn had arguably sold your country out Sullivan went so

far as to question if Flynn's conduct rises to the level of treasonous

activity signaling a willingness to reject Mueller's recommendations the

judge also raised the possibility of prison time for Flynn I cannot assure

you if you proceed today you will not receive a sentence of incarceration he

told the former soldier Flynn's legal team ultimately took up Sullivan's offer

to delay the sentencing we are prepared to take your honor upon his suggestion

of delaying sentencing so he can sick out the last modicum of cooperation in

Virginia Flynn's attorney said according to CNN prosecutors said they had no

problems with delaying the sentencing the judge later walked back his remarks

saying I made a statement about mr. Flinn acting as a foreign agent in

the White House Sullivan added that he realized his

comments were not correct CNN reports Flynn on Tuesday also did

not take Sullivan's offer to withdraw his guilty plea admitting in court that

he was aware that lying to the FBI was illegal when he was questioned On

January 24 about his conversations with Russian ambassador Sergei kiss Lea in

the weeks before Trump took office Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 to

a charge of line to the FBI he has been cooperating with investigators in a

sentencing memo filed last week Mueller recommended to judge ammaji Sullivan

that Flynn should receive no jail time because he had provided investigators

with substantial assistance and more than a dozen interviews because he

cooperated early with this special counsels office it said a sentence at

the low end of the guideline range including the sentence that does not

impose a term of incarceration is appropriate and warranted Muller is Dean

in two memos filed ahead of Flynn's original December 18 sentencing date

revealed that Flynn had sat for 19 interviews with the special counsel or

other Justice Department officers one memo which was heavily redacted in the

court papers filed last week detailed some of the evidence that Flynn had

provided his early cooperation was particularly valuable because he was one

of the few people with long-term and firsthand insight regarding events and

issues under investigation by the special counsels office

prosecutors said in the brief additionally the defendants decision to

plead guilty and cooperate likely affected the decisions of related

firsthand witnesses to be forthcoming with the SCO and cooperate on Tuesday

morning Trump wished his former national security advisor good luck in a tweet

and maintained there was no collusion between his 2016 presidential campaign

and Russia good luck today in court to General Michael Flynn the president

wrote on Twitter will be interesting to see what he has to say despite

tremendous pressure being put on him about Russian collusion in our great and

obviously highly successful political campaign there was no collusion three

offense in Mueller's Probe Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen

former Trump campaign adviser George papadopolis in Dutch lawyer Alex Van

dares Vaughn have pleaded guilty to the same crime of lying to investigators

specifically about their links to Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign in

the course of Mueller's investigation each received sentences that included

incarceration but none of those men sistah the special counsels office as

substantially as Flynn Mueller's team said another defendant

former Trump campaign deputy Rick gates also pleaded guilty to lying to

investigators in Mueller's Pro he continues to cooperate with pooler's

investigation which is ongoing but has no set sentencing date currently gates

faces up to six years in prison the president has vehemently denied any

collusion with Russia during the presidential campaign and has repeatedly

railed against Mueller's investigation into the matter he has also said when he

was campaigning for president that he had no business interests in Russia

however Cohen alleged in federal court last week that he engaged in

negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow well into the campaign claiming

that Trump and members of his family were personally briefed on the deal

Flynn's court appearance follows an eventful week in the Mueller

investigation last week Cohen who was previously one of the president's most

loyal and ardent defenders in business and politics pleaded guilty to lying to

Congress last year about his contacts with Russia during the 2016 presidential

campaign Mueller also informed a federal judge last week that he has voided his

cooperation agreement with Paul Manafort the longtime Republican consultant who

spent five months says Trump's campaign chair during the 2016 campaign Mueller

accused men afford of lying to the FBI as well as his team two months after

reaching a plea deal in the Russia probe mana Ford was previously thought to be a

star cooperator in the ongoing Pro Man affords attorneys dispute the claims

that he lied Trump has been upping his relentless criticisms of the

investigation in Mueller's team recently accusing the prosecutors of vicious

telling witnesses to lie about facts in comparing the probe to the McCarthy

period named for former Senator Joseph McCarthy Republican Wisconsin who

accused hundreds of Americans of being communists or communist sympathizers in

the 1950s

Embattled Trump Foundation forced to dissolve itself under court supervision - Duration: 4:30.

President Trump's embattled charitable foundation has agreed to dissolve itself under judicial supervision as part of a lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood

The Trump Foundation had previously sought to dissolve on its own terms but has now signed a stipulation that requires it to do so with monitoring by the court and oversight by the attorney general's office, which must review and approve disbursements of remaining funds to make sure the recipients are legitimate

"Today's stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year," said New York Attorney General (NYAG) Barbara Underwood in a statement

"Under the terms, the Trump Foundation can only dissolve under judicial supervision – and it can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations approved by my office

" The attorney general's lawsuit alleged that the president and his three eldest children, who served as members of the foundation's board, repeatedly used charitable donations for personal, political and business gains, including legal settlements, campaign contributions and even to purchase a portrait of Trump to hang at one of his hotels

The alleged conduct, Underwood said, "amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr

Trump's business and political interests." Yet an attorney for the Trump Foundation had a sharply different take on the matter

In a statement released in response to the attorney general's comments, Trump Foundation attorney Alan Futerfas accused Underwood's office of "politicizing" the matter

"Contrary to the NYAG's misleading statement issued earlier today, the Foundation has been seeking to dissolve and distribute its remaining assets to worthwhile charitable causes since Donald J

Trump's victory in the 2016 Presidential election," Futerfas' statement said. "Unfortunately, the NYAG sought to prevent dissolution for almost two years, thereby depriving those most in need of nearly $1

7 million." Futerfas went on to contend that in the past decade the foundation has distributed about $19 million to 700 different charitable organizations

Shortly after the Futerfas statement was released, Underwood shot back with a follow-up statement of her own, insisting that the foundation wanted to dissolve itself, but that the dissolution required government oversight

"Given the Trump Foundation's egregious pattern of illegality -— including repeatedly using charitable assets for unlawful purposes -— that was unacceptable," an Underwood spokesperson said in the follow-up statement

"That's why AG Underwood's suit demanded dissolution under court supervision, with our office's oversight of how the charitable assets will be distributed — and that's exactly what we achieved with the Trump Foundation's concession today

The lawsuit is also seeking restitution, as well as prohibiting Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr

from serving on the boards of charities for the next 10 years. An attorney for the president has argued that the case is politically motivated, an argument the judge rejected as recently as last month when he turned down an attempt to get the case dismissed

Rudy Giuliani Admits Trump Has Been LYING About Campaign Finance Violations - Duration: 4:11.

On Sunday, Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, appeared on ABC news with George Stephanopoulos

to talk about Donald Trump's increasing legal problems.

Uh, Giuliani though throughout the interview seemed to suggest that yes, Donald Trump has

been lying this whole time about the payments made to stormy Daniels.

What he knew when he knew it, and if he was even involved as it stands right now, Trump

has changed his story about half a dozen times.

The latest is that hell yeah, we made the payments.

It's just that that was a private transaction, you know, person, a paying person, be some

money for no particular reason whatsoever.

So they're not even denying that the payments took place in Trump's not even denying that

he knew had happened.

So Giuliani is having to go through and play cleanup because he's, he's doing his best

to not be the worst lawyer in the country, but he's still failing spectacularly.

Because during the interview with George Stephanopoulos, he told him that, yeah, Trump story has changed

a lot, but he wasn't under oath when he said any of these things.

So it doesn't matter.

You know, he can lie to the public as long as he's not lying under oath and everything's

cool at that point, right?

No, no.

Rudy, no.

Do you realize that everything your client, Donald J Trump says on Twitter, says in an

interview that can all be used against him because it's all about credibility.

So when this thing, if this thing finally goes to a trial and the prosecutors would

easily be able to prove that, look, he lied here, here, here, story changed.

Story changed.

Story Change.

That's not going to bode well for you.

Your interview with George Stephanopoulos where you say that it's okay for him to lie

because he wasn't under oath.

That's not going to bode well for you.

You've destroyed your own credibility as well as the credibility of your client.

I mean, this is legal malpractice at its finest and yet Trump still thinks you are doing a

hell of a job.

Giuliani went on to say that part of the reason Trump story keeps changing is because his

memory's just really bad.

He then said that he himself, Giuliani was there at some of these things and even he

can't recall exactly what happened.

So I guess at this point we're just dealing with two demented, possibly Alzheimer's suffering

senior citizens who, gosh darn it, they just can't remember what kind of crimes they were

committing.

Which day is a crazy day.

A lot of crimes.

Ah, I don't even know.

That's the best defense that Rudy Giuliani can come up with to defend the president of

the United States.

You know, sometimes this administration just makes it a little too easy on the opposition,

and Giuliani certainly isn't doing the president

any favors.

Trump's "Boarder" Tweet, the White House Christmas Reception - Monologue - Duration: 3:30.

Let's get to the news.

President Trump misspelled the word "border" today

when tweeting about border security.

Now, I don't want to get on Trump about every misspelling,

but come on.

I understand how you can misspell "Melania," but...

the wall is the actual love of your life.

President Trump tweeted on Friday that his budget director

will replace John Kelly

and become acting White House chief of staff,

adding, "Mick M will do a great job."

Oh, no. He thinks it's Mickey Mouse, doesn't he?

Oh, no.

"Looking forward to working with my childhood hero.

Steamboat Willie. That's what we used to call him."

In an interview yesterday when asked if President Trump

would potentially sit down with Special Counsel Robert Mueller,

Rudy Giuliani responded, "Over my dead body."

Okay, so, how's two weeks ago?

[ Laughter ]

President Trump and First Lady Melania

attended a Christmas reception today at the White House

but not before Melania had the room swept for mistletoe.

[ Laughter ]

[ Audience oohs ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Eh. All right. That worked out.

[ Applause ]

New York governor Andrew Cuomo today called for the

legalization of recreational marijuana in the state.

I guess he figures if you're moving really slow,

the trains will seem faster.

[ Laughter ]

[ Applause ]

White House senior adviser Stephen Miller said yesterday

that the Trump administration is going to do

whatever is necessary to build the border wall.

And if that doesn't work, maybe you could build something

that seems like a wall...

when you're far away.

Maybe no one will get close enough to notice it's fake.

I mean, it's risky.

But maybe.

According to "The New York Times,"

the Russian effort to influence

the 2016 election on social media

used tactics to try to suppress Democratic voters

from turning out on Election Day...

though in the end she wrote this joke all by herself.

-But I'm trying to figure out how we get them

to have Pokémon Go To The Polls.

[ Laughter ]

-[ Russian accent ] "We can stop hacking now.

It's all over."

[ Normal voice ] A cat was returned to its owner in Canada

this weekend after it accidentally crawled into a box

and was shipped 700 miles away.

Said the cat owner, "Yeah, uh, accidentally."

[ Laughter ]

Starbucks has announced they'll be adding nitro cold brew on tap

at all of its locations by the end of next year...

while Dunkin' announced, "What are ya, the mayor?

Just drink it!"

According to a new survey, one in four teens say

they used marijuana at least once in the past year...

while the other three in four teens

know a narc when they see one.

"Hey. I'm taking a survey."

"Okay, buddy."

And finally, the California farm that recently recalled

Romaine lettuce for possible E. coli contamination

is now recalling cauliflower

and other lettuces grown on the farm.

All in all, it's been a pretty tough year

over at Outbreak Farms.
