SUPREME COURT DECLARES BORDER WALL RULING – MAJOR UPSET FOR TRUMP - Duration: 10:51.

SUPREME COURT DECLARES BORDER WALL RULING – MAJOR UPSET FOR TRUMP

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed a challenge by three

conservation groups to the authority of President Donald Trump's administration to build a

wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a victory for Trump who has made the wall a centerpiece

of his hardline immigration policies.

The justices' declined to hear the groups' appeal of a ruling by a federal judge in California

rejecting their claims that the administration had pursued border wall projects without complying

with applicable environmental laws.

The groups are the Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Defenders

of Wildlife.

Their lawsuits said construction operations would harm plants, rare wildlife habitats,

threatened coastal birds like the snowy plover and California gnatcatcher, and other species

such as fairy shrimp and the Quino checkerspot butterfly.

Brian Segee, an attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity, said he was disappointed

that the court would not hear the case.

"Trump has abused his power to wreak havoc along the border to score political points,"

Segee said.

"He's illegally sweeping aside bedrock environmental and public-health laws.

We'll continue to fight Trump's dangerous wall in the courts and in Congress."

Trump has clashed with U.S. lawmakers, particularly Democrats, over his plans for an extensive

and costly border wall that he has called necessary to combat illegal immigration and

drug smuggling.

Congress, controlled by the president's fellow Republicans, has not yet provided him

the amount of money he wants.

The president has threatened a government shutdown unless lawmakers provide $5 billion

in funding.

On Saturday, Trump said congressional leaders sought a two-week extension of funding ahead

of a Dec. 7 deadline to fully fund the U.S. government and that he would probably agree

to it.

Mexico has rejected Trump's demand that it pay for the wall.

Illegal immigration was a central theme of Trump's presidential bid, and he repeatedly

invoked the issue ahead of the Nov. 6 congressional elections as a caravan of migrants from Central

America made their way toward the United States.

Trump deployed 5,800 U.S. troops to the border.

The three conservation groups sued last year in San Diego after the Department of Homeland

Security authorized projects to replace existing border fencing at two sites in southern California,

as well as the construction of prototype border walls.

The dispute centers on a 1996 law aimed at countering illegal immigration that gave the

federal government the authority to build border barriers and preempt legal requirements

such as environmental rules.

That law also limited the kinds of legal challenges that could be mounted.

The groups argued that Trump's wall projects did not fall under that law, and that the

measure was unconstitutional because it gave too much power to unelected Cabinet officials

to avoid laws such as the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy

Act.

U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in February ruled that the administration had not exceeded

its powers.

The groups appealed the judge's decision to the Supreme Court.

The groups have said that giving the federal government unfettered power to waive applicable

laws and limit judicial oversight is ripe for abuse.

With such power, the plaintiffs argued, officials could theoretically give contracts to political

cronies to build walls with no safety standards using child migrant labor, and "kill bald

eagles in the process."

The Trump administration urged the justices not to take up the appeal.

A spokeswoman for the Justice Department on Monday declined to comment.

Trump criticized Curiel in 2016 in a different case, a lawsuit accusing his now-defunct Trump

University of fraud.

Trump, while running for president, accused Curiel of being biased against him because

of

the

Indiana-born judge's Mexican heritage.

Trump On Looming Debt Crisis: "Who Cares?" - Duration: 4:12.

The current national debt sits at about 21 point $6,000,000,000,000.

Now, if this had happened two years ago, Republicans would be up in arms right now about the fact

that the debt has been skyrocketing for the last two years, but because they have absolute

power in Washington DC, at least at this very moment, they don't seem to really care about

deficits anymore.

You see, Republicans only care about deficits when Democrats are sitting in the White House.

They run on deficits.

They make that the central piece of their campaign.

In fact, Donald Trump did exactly that, running in 2016 and now that he's president, he suddenly

doesn't care about the sky rocketing deficit.

In fact, according to new reports, he's actually told aides and other officials in the White

House that I don't care.

I'm not going to be here when it all blows up.

That's Donald Trump's thinking about how horrible the deficit is.

What does it matter?

Not going to be my problem.

That's for future generations to figure out and deal with.

I'll be long gone by then because after all projections do show that by the time of the

end of Donald Trump's alleged second term, uh, the debt is going to be out of control

and it's going to cause massive spending cuts, economic collapses, a, it's got to be basically

economic armageddon to an extent.

Is it something we can pull ourselves out of?

Absolutely.

We've done it plenty of times in the past.

We just have to have a responsible president and a responsible congress to understand what

needs to be cut and unfortunately we have Republicans in Congress right now who want

to cut all the wrong things rather than cutting the massive tax cuts that they gave to corporations

and billionaires.

They want to cut programs for the needy in the United States, food stamps, Medicaid,

social security, everything that helps keep people from going into abject poverty is what

they want to cut, but not the tax cuts for the wealthy, but that's a story for later

on.

The thing is Donald Trump's mentality right here is exactly how ceos in the United States

operate today.

Screw things up as much as you can.

You get what you personally can out of it and then you leave before the problem blows

up and the companies face because at that point you have no more liability.

You don't have to pay the costs.

You know if you're running a corporation and you poison 20,000 people and give them cancer

or if you're running an oil company and you have a massive oil spill because you cut safety

spending with your company, but now you're long gone and the oils everywhere or the pollutions

everywhere or the faulty product you approved is out there on the market killing consumers

everyday.

It doesn't affect you.

You got your golden parachute and you got your $600, million dollar severance and you're

out the door and Trump brought that same corporate mentality to the White House and that's why

all these republicans who for years, so it looks ruling the government local business.

Have you ever seen how a business is run in the United States these days?

Yeah.

Not exactly what we need at the federal level, but unfortunately that's what you gave us.

You gave us a guy who's trying to make as much profit off of the office of the presidency

as he can get as much clout, get as many supporters.

Then he's out the door when everything blows up in our faces and we're the ones who have

to pay the price.

We're the ones that have to clean up his mess, just like we did with George W. Bush.

It's not going to be easy.

It's not going to be pretty, but it will be doable.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump and all the republicans will help put us in this position.

We'll get away.

No consequences.

No.

You know, having to atone for their actions.

They can retire, go do whatever the hell they want with their millions of dollars.

While the rest of us continue to suffer with the mess that they created.

Trump Admin Uses Deadly Wildfires As Excuse To Sell Protected Lands To Loggers - Duration: 3:23.

The trump administration has decided that they're not going to let a good tragedy go

to waste, so they're using the recent deadly fires in the state of California as an excuse

to sell off more lands to logging companies.

Now, this is something we've spoken about in the past and it's still actually developing.

It's being run by Ryan Zinke, the secretary of the interior.

Uh, this is something Zinke is actually wanted to do since before even these fires started

since he came into office, he's wanted to start selling off public lands, which he has

done a to mining companies, to logging companies to water bottling companies.

Anybody willing to pay a price?

Ryan Zinke has got some land somewhere to sell you, and now they've set their sights

on California because they're arguing erroneously falsely that if we just logged out these forest

then numb out a little bit.

There wouldn't be any fires.

Sounds simple enough, right?

You take away some of the fuel and the fire can't burn as fast, except for the fact that

none of that is true.

In fact, the exact opposite is actually what happens in the city of Paradise, the area

that is no longer on the map because it burned to ashes.

They had actually sold off a lot of land around it to logging companies.

Those forest had been thinned out and what happens when you thin out the forest, you

take out the big trees, but you leave all the underbrush.

You leave bushes and shrubs and weeds that when you get hit with massive droughts, dry

out, those things burn a hell of a lot faster than a giant tree does, and that actually

allowed this most recent fire, the campfire, wildfire to spread faster and further.

Not because there was no logging, but because there was logging and if Ryan Zinke was actually

serious about protecting California's a wilderness and people from wildfires, then he would just

do his actual job.

Instead of trying to auction off every public land available.

He would go to California, send crews out there because he has the budget for it and

it's part of his job description to clear out the undergrowth, clear out the dead trees

on the forest floor.

Doing that would help stop some of these firefighters.

It's not going to prevent them because we have corporations out there, PG&E and Edison,

who's faulty equipment actually continuously sparks these fires and then of course we have

the overall cause of it all, which is climate change.

Now, if we're not going to address those actual problems, if we're not going to get out there

and clean the forest like we're supposed to, like Ryan Zinke is department is supposed

to do.

If we're not going to hold the energy companies liable for sparking the fire and if we're

going to continue to ignore climate change, then there is nothing we can do in the state

of California or anywhere in this country that is going to prevent wildfires.

Ryan Zinke and the trump administration, or taking the wrong approach to this because

they don't understand a single word of science.

The only thing they understand is the dollar sign and right now they're looking at those

fire ravaged areas of California.

They don't see the 88 dead bodies.

They see a hell of a lot of dollar signs.

Mehdi Hasan Is Relentless in His Interviews with Trump Proxies - Duration: 3:50.

-I'm so happy to have you here. -Happy to be here.

I want to start by showing a clip

for those who are here who maybe aren't familiar with your work.

You interviewed -- What is he, you said?

-A Trump campaign adviser.

-Yes, in charge of re-election, I guess.

-Yes. -And you interviewed him

in a way that many have said,

"This is the template for talking to people

within the Trump sphere,"

and I just want to show it real quick.

Let's take a look.

-He said during the campaign

that there's six to seven steel facilities

that are gonna be opened up. There are none.

U.S. Steel has not announced any facilities.

Why did he say they've announced new facilities?

That's a lie, isn't it?

-No, it isn't, because there are a lot of companies opening up.

There are steel facilities that are gonna be opening up.

-No, no. Sorry. Sorry, Steven.

That's not what he said. I know it's difficult for you.

I know you want to try and defend him.

But let me read the quote to you.

"U.S. Steel just announced

that they're building six new steel mills."

That's a very specific claim.

U.S. Steel have not announced six new steel mills.

They have said they've not announced six new steel mills.

There's no evidence of six new steel mills.

He just made it up.

-The American people are doing well.

-That's fine.

The American people can be doing well,

and the President can be a liar.

There's no contradiction between those two statements.

[ Cheers and applause ] -So, well done.

Do you think --

I don't want to --

I don't want to put you inside his head,

but do you think he was unexpected

for how prepared you were?

What do you think was happening there?

-I think so. And to be fair to Steve Rogers --

that's his name -- he's a very nice guy

and, you know, good sport about it.

But he does Fox News most of his time.

And if he does do other cable news channels,

it's the same problem everywhere.

Unfortunately, interviewers on U.S. television

tend to have limited time, limited resources,

and just want to keep moving things along.

And when I interview people, I try not to move along.

I don't want to move on.

I want to stick to it and try and get an answer.

That's my job.

-Well, I think one of the things you did that was so nice

is, again, there's so much happening in the Trump campaign

that, I think, oftentimes, as an interviewer,

you're caught with,

"I want to hit 11 different topics."

You stayed on one thing.

-I was like, "The lies. Let's go with the lies."

There's six and a half thousand of them.

I'll pick three or four.

-But, you know, and that makes it --

I think they are hoping and waiting for you

to move onto the next thing.

-There's a bit in the clip, which you don't see.

He actually says to me at the end, he goes,

"Let's just move on. Ask me another question."

[ Laughter ]

I'm not gonna do that.

And the problem is, look, most people would move on

because it's -- it's uneasy.

It's not easy to go up

and to just keep asking someone the same question.

I don't like doing it.

You have to relentlessly keep asking the same question,

keep asking for answers, not moving on,

getting in people's face -- That's rude, right?

Seth, you don't want to be rude to your guests.

-Of course not. -It's socially awkward.

And we're taught not to be like that.

Although I'm British,

I'm rude and socially awkward to begin with.

So I may have an advantage over some Americans.

-But what are the differences that you've seen

in how the U.K. press and the U.S. press

deals with power?

-That's a very good question, and I think you guys --

Definitely, there's a cultural issue.

You guys had your revolution, War of Independence.

You kicked the Brits out.

And yet, weirdly, you're more deferential to power,

I would argue, than we are.

You know, the President walks into the East Room

of the White House,

and the White House press corps stands up, which I find --

British journalists, for all their sins,

would not stand up

if the Prime Minister comes into the room.

They'd be lucky to even pay attention sometimes.

You guys have this thing where it's kind of

Banana Republic-esque, where you allow your politicians

to have their job titles for life.

So, do you remember in 2012,

it was Governor Romney, Governor Romney.

Governor of what? His backyard?

He hadn't been governor of Massachusetts for five years.

Secretary Albright, Secretary Clinton,

Mayor Giuliani, Ambassador Bolton.

If anyone here lost their job,

they wouldn't get to keep the title the next day.

Why do you do that?

Why do you do that with your politicians?

It's weird. I just don't get it.

Trump's Witness Tampering; Wisconsin GOP's Power Grab: A Closer Look - Duration: 10:39.

President Trump is a threat to democracy,

but as Republicans in Wisconsin and Michigan

have made clear this week, he's not alone.

For more on this, it's time for "A Closer Look."

[ Cheers and applause ]

We know Trump thinks he's above the law.

That much is clear in the Russia investigation.

Trump keeps interfering in that investigation

by dangling the possibility of pardons for his aides

or praising associates who refuse to cooperate

like his ex-campaign chairman Paul Manafort

or his former adviser Roger Stone.

-"I feel very badly for Paul Manafort

and his wonderful family.

Justice took a 12-year-old tax case

and, among other things, applied tremendous pressure on him.

And unlike Michael Cohen, he refused to break

and make up stories in order to get a deal.

Such respect for a brave man."

-"I will never testify against Trump."

This statement was recently made by Roger Stone,

essentially stating that he will not be forced

by a rogue and out-of-control prosecutor

to make up lies and stories about President Trump.

"Nice to know that some people still have guts!"

-Well, he is right about Stone's guts.

This is a real photo

of his actual outfit from the inauguration.

It takes real guts to go out in public

dressed like a coke dealer from a Charles Dickens novel.

I mean, look at him.

He looks like he's about to carjack Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

And for months, Trump has been openly

floating the possibility of pardoning Manafort,

even as Special Counsel Robert Mueller

tries to get Manafort to cooperate in the investigation.

Trump even praised Manafort publicly

in an interview on Fox News and complained that Mueller

was trying to get him and other Trump associates to flip.

-This whole thing about flipping, they call it --

I know all about flipping.

For 30, 40 years, I've been watching flippers.

They flip on whoever the next-highest one is.

It's called flipping, and it almost ought to be illegal.

-You know...

Trump may say he's against flipping,

but if he was ever arrested,

he would flip more than a dad working the grill at a cookout.

Here is our scientific computer simulation

of how Donald Trump would react if he was indicted.

"It was Don Jr., it was Eric, it was Ivanka,

it was Melania, it was Tiffany!

Take Tiffany! You don't want me! You want Tiffany!"

[ Cheers and applause ]

And Trump did it again last week

in an interview with the "New York Post"

where he confirmed again

that he's considering pardoning Manafort.

-During an Oval Office interview,

President Trump told the "New York Post"

he has not ruled out a pardon

for former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

"It was never discussed, but I wouldn't take it off the table.

Why would I take it off the table?" The President said.

-Here's my question.

Why are you doing interviews with the "New York Post"?

Trump so desperately wishes he was the mayor of New York

and not the president.

Then all he'd have to do is talk to the "Post,"

show up to ribbon cuttings,

and have sandwiches named after him at delis.

"Make sure you order the Donald Trump.

It's a turkey sandwich,

but the turkey is ham because I'm a liar."

[ Laughter ]

[ Applause ]

Trump was already facing

possible obstruction of justice charges before,

but his comments praising Manafort and Stone

and dangling the possibility of a pardon raised a new question.

Is he also guilty of witness tampering?

That's the opinion of at least one

prominent Republican lawyer, George Conway --

the husband of Kellyanne Conway --

who's been an outspoken critic of Trump.

George Conway retweeted Trump's tweet about Roger Stone

and added this --

"File under '18 USC subsections 1503, 1512.'"

Which are the statutes of witness tampering

and obstruction of justice.

The best part of that move

is that by tweeting out the actual laws,

he made sure Trump will have no idea what he's talking about.

"18 USC 503. What language is this?

You know what? I'm just gonna quick 'translate tweet.'"

[ Mouse clicks ]

[ Laughter ]

[ Applause ]

So...

Trump has been dangling the prospect of a pardon

and hoping Manafort and Stone

will refuse to cooperate with Mueller.

If you're Mueller, the question is, how do you respond to that?

And we found out on Tuesday when he filed a sentencing memo

for ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn

and recommended that Flynn get no jail time

because he's cooperated with multiple investigations.

And yet, Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani

tried to argue that that was actually good news for Trump,

although I really can't follow his logic or his syntax.

Here's a text message that Rudy Giuliani,

the President's lawyer, sent to a political reporter

after the Flynn news broke.

"Wow. Big crime for a special whatever.

Maybe a group of angry, bitter Hillary supporters

who are justifying themselves by the goal justifies the means.

Over-the-top unethical behavior."

What?!

Does Giuliani's iPhone have auto-incorrect?

I have no idea what that means.

It's like when your grandpa uses the voice-to-text feature

while he's driving.

"Wow. Big crime for special whatever.

Watch where you're going, you idiot.

Oh, that was my exit."

[ Laughter ]

Of course, Rudy isn't just bad with phones.

He's also terrible at Twitter.

Last week, he tweeted, "Mueller filed an indictment

just as the President left for G-20.In July

he indicted the Russians, who will never come here,

just before he left for Helsinki."

But because Giuliani forgot to put a space

between the period and "in," he accidentally created a link.

So someone bought that link for $5,

and now when you click on it, you get this message.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Ya burnt. So basically, ya burnt.

In reality, we burnt because the same grandpa vampire

who wrote that tweet was named cyber security adviser

by Trump in 2017, which is like putting

the Hamburglar in charge of security

at the ground-beef factory.

So the story that's unfolding here is simple.

Trump broke election laws, lied about it,

and then tried to obstruct the investigation with those lies.

He's a threat to democracy and the rule of law.

But he's not alone, as we've seen this week

in states like Wisconsin and Michigan.

After the GOP lost elections in those states,

Republicans in Wisconsin and Michigan responded

with pushes to limit the power

of Democrats who won those offices.

The GOP's power grab in Wisconsin is so shameless

that hundreds of protesters have streamed into the capitol

to vent their anger, and they just happened to be there

on the same day that the outgoing

Republican governor, Scott Walker,

was hosting the annual tree-lighting ceremony,

which produced this very odd scene.

-Protesters swarm the capitol for the second day straight.

-The governor of the state of Wisconsin, Scott Walker.

[ Mixed applause and boos ]

-Merry Christmas.

-Demonstrators booed Governor Walker

at a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.

-It's so weird to watch someone say "Merry Christmas"

to a bunch of people booing him.

He's like a dad who got his kids a graphing calculator

when what they really wanted was an Xbox.

"Hey, kids, let's do some math.

You want to show me what you're working on?"

[ Laughter ]

Republicans are trying to get away with this as we speak,

but protesters have courageously challenged them

in public hearings.

Here's one Wisconsin resident

who showed up to a public hearing

and stood up to Republicans while also trying

to maintain her Wisconsin politeness.

-Greetings. My name is Jan...

And I'm speaking mainly to the Republicans here

because I believe there is something you don't understand,

and that is that you lost.

You lost! You lost!

The problem is you can't let go of power.

And you're stealing!

I've looked at this panel for six hours.

You couldn't look at us.

You don't trust us. You think you're better.

You think you're more intelligent.

Well, you're not. You're not letting the voters choose.

Look at me!

-Oh, you done it now! Jan is angry!

[ Laughter ]

In Wisconsin...

[ Cheers and applause ]

And that's a big deal because in Wisconsin

the highest threat level is Angry Jan!

[ Laughter ]

Jan even put on her yellin' turtleneck.

Republicans in Michigan are also trying

to preemptively take power away

from the incoming governor

and the incoming attorney general, Dana Nessel,

and if you're wondering if Nessel is the kind of attorney

who's going to sit quietly for that sort of thing,

allow me to direct you to this very real campaign ad

she aired last year.

-If the last few weeks has taught us anything,

it's that we need more women in positions of power, not less.

So when you're choosing

Michigan's next attorney general,

ask yourself this.

Who can you trust most

not to show you their penis in a professional setting?

Is it the candidate who doesn't have a penis?

I'd say so.

[ Cheers and applause ]

And she was right, but unfortunately,

even if Republicans don't take out their penises,

they can still act like a bunch of dicks.

You might be thinking to yourself,

hey, Republicans won the state legislature fair and square,

so they get to pass the laws if they want.

but Republicans actually won the state legislature in Wisconsin

despite getting fewer votes

because gerrymandering in Wisconsin is insane.

-Wisconsin Democrats won a majority of votes

for the state assembly, state legislature.

They won by a margin of 8 points.

That's where Wisconsin Democrats hit a snag.

Because of the way Republicans in Wisconsin

have gerrymandered the districts in the state,

even though the Democrats got more votes in the assembly --

they got a ton more.

They won by 8 points in terms of votes for assembly seats,

but still, Republicans won most of the seats.

-Republicans won 45% of the vote and 64% of the seats.

And look, I'm not saying Dana Nessel

is right about Republicans and penises,

but some of those districts look very strange.

[ Laughter ]

Trump might be the most prominent example

of the GOP's lawlessness, but he's not alone.

We have a president who thinks he's above the law

and Republicans who think they're above elections.

A democracy can't function if you change the rules

after the game just because --

-You lost! You lost! You lost!

-You're a hero, Jan! This has been "A Closer Look."

As The Planet Burns, Trump Issues Rule To Let Power Plants Pollute Even More - Duration: 3:29.

It's been less than a week since we got that massive EPA climate assessment warning us

how bad things are going to get in this country if we do not address the problem of climate

change.

Administration officials, including Donald Trump himself has already dismissed the report.

They don't care about it.

They don't believe it.

They think it's a partisan hack job from leftover Obama people, and so they're just going to

completely ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist.

And then this week, again, less than a week later, they're actually coming up with a new

rule that is going to allow more carbon pollution from new coal fired power plants here in the

United States.

They're repealing yet another Obama rule that would have helped reduce the amount of carbon

that we're spewing into the atmosphere.

Under the previous rule, the Obama rule, uh, any new coal fired power plant had to have

these, a carbon capture devices.

This carbon capture technology installed and they weren't allowed to emit more than 1400

pounds of carbon pollution per megawatt hour of electricity generated.

The Trump administration wants to bump that up by about 33 percent with our new rule,

and they're going to allow up to 1900 pounds of carbon pollution per megawatt hour of electricity

produced.

There's one bright spot in all this and it is that coal demand in the United States has

fallen by 40 percent, 40 percent because it's outdated, it's dirty, and it's less efficient,

so even though they're repealing this rule and putting their new let's pollute more rule

in place, there actually are no new coal fired power plants that this rule could apply to

at least as it stands right now.

Now perhaps repealing this rule might encourage coal companies to go out there and build new

plants and whatever, but considering the staggering drop in demand, that seems unlikely, so this

may actually be one of those cases where the Trump administration comes in, repeals and

Obama rule allows for more pollution, but that pollution may not actually materialize

because they're, once again, essentially betting on a dead horse because that's what coal is

at this point.

Coal is a dying fossil fuel method that has been used for hundreds of years that has fallen

out of favor around the planet, not just because of how gross and dirty it is for the atmosphere,

but because of how inefficient it is become compared to newer, better technologies.

Now, not all of those newer technologies are better.

They're not all cleaner.

Some are just as dirty as cool fracked.

Natural gas over its lifetime will admit just as much as coal will, but at least in this

instance, because of that drop in demand because things are changing around the planet and

nobody wants coal anymore.

Maybe this is one rule that will actually have no impact on the United States because

maybe we're not dumb enough to keep building new coal fired power plants and we understand

that it's time to move on from the same fuel method that our ancestors used to use.

DONALD TRUMP DROPS MASSIVE NUKE ON MUELLER MUELLER IN MASSIVE TROUBLE NOW - Duration: 12:59.

DONALD TRUMP DROPS MASSIVE NUKE ON MUELLER.MUELLER IN MASSIVE TROUBLE NOW

The Mueller Russia probe just drags on and on and on.

It looks to me as though Mueller feels that he can do pretty much whatever he wants, no

matter how outrageous it is.

He doesn't seem to think there will be any consequences for his actions because everything

is hidden from the public.

Looks like he was wrong.

Earlier this week, President Trump took the historic step of ordering that the records

surrounding the Russia investigation be declassified.

That also includes the FISA warrant.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders cited "reasons of transparency" for the

president's landmark decision, as well as requests from Congressional investigative

committees in a statement confirming the action.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall of Democrats when that happened.

I could just feel their heads explode all the way over here.

The swamp slugs are now scrambling to cover their behinds as their actions are about to

be made very, very public.

Trump's blow to Mueller's investigation could be its death knell.

Trump ordered the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Justice, and the Federal

Bureau of Investigation to declassify select parts of the FISA court application that was

used to spy on his former campaign surrogate Carter Page during the 2016 election.

Also to be released are the FBI interviews with Bruce Ohr showing his and his wife's

involvement in the Russia dossier scandal.

But there's more!

All text messages relating to the Russia investigation from former FBI Director James Comey, Deputy

Director Andrew McCabe, and agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are set to be released as well.

We will finally get to see in context their subversive activities plotted and planned

against President Trump.

There is going to be tons of unclassified information that will be uncovered.

I have no doubt at all that this could throw the entire Russian investigation into utter

chaos, especially when the true intentions of these corruptocrats is unveiled.

Do you want to see real collusion?

This is it.

From Fox News:

"The 21 pages only make up a small part of the 412 pages of FISA applications and

warrants related to Page released by the FBI earlier this year in heavily redacted format.

The June 2017 application was the last of four filed by the Justice Department in support

of FISA court orders allowing the monitoring of Page for nearly a year.

"According to the redacted version, three of the declassified pages involve information

included in a section titled "The Russian Government's Coordinated Efforts to Influence

the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election."

That section includes reference to potential coordination between people associated with

Trump's campaign and the Russian election interference effort.

"The other 18 pages appear to relate to information the government submitted that

came from former British spy Christopher Steele, who compiled a dossier detailing the Trump

campaign's alleged ties to Russia.

The document has been a partisan lightning rod since it was published in January 2017.

"Carter Page told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Monday night that the FBI's investigation

was "so incredibly stupid to begin with."

He added, "My biggest concern is all the damage that this did to the U.S. government

[and] the mockery it made out of the Constitution and all of the wrongdoing that was done by

various officials within the Department of Justice, the FBI and the DNC [Democratic National

Committee]."

"It was not immediately clear when or how the documents would be released.

A source familiar with the timing of the declassification told Fox News that they expected the Carter

Page warrant application to be declassified first, followed by the FBI reports on agent

interviews with Ohr.

"The source added that the Justice Department is working on a "compressed timeline"

and they expect the first release of records in days or sooner.

The text messages are expected to take longer because of the sheer number involved and the

fact that Trump ordered their release without redactions."

President Trump commented on the ongoing investigation on Twitter, citing a Fox News report about

Lisa Page's testimony that there was no evidence of collusion before the Mueller appointment.

"The case should never have been allowed to be brought," Trump added.

"It is a totally illegal Witch Hunt!"

Looks like Trump was right all along.

Trump also pointed to a message from Strzok to Page, proposing to "lock in" an investigation

right after Comey was fired from the FBI.

House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D-CA) called Trump's decision

"a clear abuse of power."

But House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes didn't see it that way, "Wow!

This is a direct order."

Republicans, on the whole, praised President Trump for the move.

All of this needs the cleansing power of sunlight and transparency.

President Trump was right to do this and Americans have a right to see what is going on in regards

to Trump's campaign and

all

this

spying nonsense.

BREAKING TRUMP SENDS IN THE FEDS – SANCTUARY CITY LEADERS ARRESTED - Duration: 10:05.

BREAKING: TRUMP SENDS IN THE FEDS – Sanctuary City Leaders Arrested

California Governor Jerry Brown has recently signed legislation declaring his state to

be a "sanctuary state," meaning it would be a safe haven for illegal aliens.

Now, however, Donald Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency is letting

Brown know that they will continue to arrest illegal aliens in California regardless of

what he does.

The Los Angeles Times has made a report that federal agents just ordered dozens of Northern

California businesses to prove that their employees are authorized to work in the U.S.

James Schwab, an ICE spokesman, said employers at 77 businesses across California were told

that they have three days to show their employees are in compliance with federal law.

Schwab said that though nobody has been arrested as part of this operation yet, employers who

knowingly hired unauthorized workers could face criminal charges or fines.

He added that workers found to be in the country illegally during the investigations will be

subject to arrest and removal from the country.

Though Schwab did not identify which businesses were given this notice, he said they represent

a range of industries and include chains as well as mom-and-pops.

This is all part of a crackdown that federal authorities said is focused on protecting

jobs for U.S. citizens and "eliminating unfair competitive advantages for companies

that hire an illegal workforce."

This comes after ICE Director Thomas Homan said that the federal government would not

allow California to be "a sanctuary state for illegal aliens," and would have no choice

but to "conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at worksites, which will

inevitably result in additional collateral arrests, instead of focusing on arrests at

jails and prisons where transfers are safer for ICE officers and the community."

At the beginning of January, Homan warned that "California better hold on tight"

and that if local politicians "don't want to protect their communities, then

ICE will."

TRUMP GOES ROGUE ON HILLARY ,POSSIBLE ARREST ON THE WAY - Duration: 12:54.

TRUMP GOES ROGUE ON HILLARY ,POSSIBLE ARREST ON THE WAY

The biggest story to come out of the midterms was not the actual results.

It was the bombshell report that dropped after all the votes were counted.

And Americans were shocked to learn that the GOP was a victim of this election fraud crime

that has a scary connection to Hillary Clinton.

The fake news media used alleged Russian "hacks" of the Democrat National Committee and Clinton

campaign chairman John Podesta to claim the 2016 election wasn't on the level and that

Donald Trump was an illegitimate President.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) revealed that four top officials'

email accounts were hacked and thousands of sensitive emails were stolen by "an outside

intruder."

Politico exclusively reports:

The intrusion was detected in April by an NRCC vendor, who alerted the committee and

its cybersecurity contractor.

An internal investigation was initiated, and the FBI was alerted to the attack, said the

officials, who requested anonymity to discuss the incident.

Politico also notes that the NRCC did not inform the three top Republicans in the House

–Speaker Paul Ryan, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise – about

the hack because they thought making the intrusion would compromise the effort to identify the

hacker – whom they believe to be a foreign actor.

Republicans now wonder if this hack affected the election.

Top officials' email accounts were compromised.

Those email accounts likely included sensitive polling data and strategy plans.

Did this hacker – whom they believe to be an enemy agent of a foreign government – collude

with the Democrats by secretly sharing this information?

Races across the country could have been tainted by this cyber attack.

Critics believe this collusion is likely to have taken place because these emails were

never made public.

WikiLeaks release of emails obtained from the Democrats was used to publicly embarrass

the party for rigging the 2016 primary against Bernie Sanders.

But the fact that these hackers did not make their intrusion known suggests they obtained

the information for more clandestine reasons.

And it could very well be that the emails were shared with the GOP's political opponents

in order to hurt their candidates.

There is another disturbing aspect of this story.

The NRCC hired Crowdstrike – the controversial firm many Trump supporters believe fabricated

a report claiming the Russians hacked the Democrat National Committee's email servers

– to provide cyber security.

They paid Crowdstrike $120,000 in 2017 to defend against hackers.

But not only did Crowdstrike not defend against the cyber attack, they didn't even detect

it.

Another vendor alerted the NRCC to the intrusion.

This raised disturbing questions about Crowdstrike's conduct.

Critics wondered if they were just asleep at the switch or worse.

A former Democrat information security professional told the Daily Caller that he "hates"

Crowdstrike.

He also blasted the NRCC for hiring them due to their past "incompetence."

"Apparently the NRCC didn't pay attention to security hygiene for their senior staff,"

the source told the Daily Caller.

"This is a continuous problem for senior political staff that think that they're

too senior to have to need good security practices; they're not technical enough to follow thru

with good security practices; or that it's too much of a hassle to commit to good security

practices."

Despite news of this hack, so-called "mainstream" media figures did not call the election tainted

or the results illegitimate.

Their partisan hypocrisy shows that the outrage over the alleged hacks in 2016 had nothing

to do with maintaining faith in democracy—and everything to do with the fact that Donald

Trump won and Hillary Clinton lost.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
