Trump and Trudeau!! What could go wrong?! What always happens when these two get

together on an international stage? They're always trying to "Out Alpha," each

other they're trying to out jocky each other and show higher social status and

Mexico's presidents thrown in there too but he plays a very small supporting

role in this interaction so they're signing a new trade agreement and we're

gonna break down this video clip and look at all the subtle nuances and body

language and tonality more important social maneuver so you can understand

what they're doing and at the end of the video I want you to let me know in the

comments below who you think came out looking better between Trump and Trudeau

now I feel like Trump looks at Trudeau kind of like a little kid

kind of like a little brother or a little cousin where he kind of thinks

some stuff he does is kind of funny and cute but when he does things he doesn't

like he gets really annoyed and I feel like Trudeau just really dislikes Trump

overall so he's always just worried about coming out on top and in this

video we're gonna pick apart all the little things that you may not notice so

you can understand it and use these things in your life next time someone is

making a maneuver to make you look bad whether it be a work or anywhere else

now you can address that and more importantly know what to do so let's

do you think for a second that Trump is gonna say that if he's got the president

of China next to him or Putin next to him no it's taking a - much familiarity

by saying you know I think I can speak for so-and-so well if you do that and

you're not on that level of respect with the other person they're not gonna be

cool with that and they're gonna take offense that so I guarantee I guess I

can't guarantee anything I've seen some things that surprised me but I'm

guessing Trump would not take that Liberty to say that and when he does say

that and Trudeau goes along with it it shows a bit of authority he's the leader

but I can speak for my little buddy Trudeau here it's the same kind of

dynamic we really do appreciate it I think I can speak for Justin when I say

for our workers and fight for their families and their communities and

Donald it's all the more reason why we need to keep working to remove the

tariffs on steel and aluminum between our countries all right there's Trump's

time to make a little non verbal rebuttal to something that he said so he

says we need to work to remove the tariffs on steel and what is Trump do he

holds it together he gives a little bounce and then he goes in that little

tight frown what do you think that means well it means stress and disagreement

just like the squinting eyes from Trudeau less easy to remove the tariffs

on steel and aluminum between our country holds it there - this is the old

Trump half proud not liking it okay so now they've both shown displeasure in

the other person when they've said different things one in one new chapter

in our shared history thank you very much

alright that might look like a small thing but you see Trudeau made a little

gesture let's go Trump completely ignores him you know some people may

have acknowledged like oh yeah let's go this way

watch completely ignore it and don't think Trump didn't hear that and see

that he did just completely ignored because he doesn't want to take

direction from Trudeau doesn't want him to be able to show authority over him

Trudeau shakes all their hands nobody else does he wants to stand out a little

bit and you'll see him trying to stand out a little bit this entire portion of

okay there he goes what is Trump say he looks at him and says let's go he's

leading he's controlling the frame and what do they both say yeah let's go

let's do it it's kind of weird how he has paused in here like he's looking at

his pen and look at he knows where to sign look at him kind of stalling here

now let's go now what is this look at Trudeau they're all signing and he stops

and looks up clearly it's four photos clearly he wants to look like the cool

dude who's not all into it and you'll frantically signing he's just chilling

taking his time look at this guy I'm gonna play it back look how long he does

this how weird is that all right everyone starts signing oh he

was he was gonna try to start the stare early so he signs quickly and then one

two three four four seconds he just stares out into the open

we were through let's see if he does it again

there he is there he is he wants to be look at the solemn look he wants to be

the solemn man well everyone else is sided that was his move

I wonder if you look at the Canadian press if a lot of the pictures that they

use in the in the magazines and the newspapers and the internet actually use

those photos of him looking like that there's a reason he's going to that link

to do that nobody else's okay what happened there what do you notice which

of these is not like the others so the Mexican president holds his up and Trump

decides he's gonna follow suit and hold his up with the Mexican president he

says we might as well hold these up you think Trudeau's going along with it

because when he said we might as the whole d-sub who's he talking to

we'll only Trudeau who doesn't have his

who knows not doing it know once again he's bucking the trend

he's not following Trump Trump's not his Big Daddies go into long lengths to

point that out and these are some serious these are some serious critiques

you know these are some small things were pointed out and the Trop handshake

here isn't just just a second premier and I think it happens because Trump is

kind of miffed that he didn't hold it up at this point you know it's a small

thing but Trump definitely lets stuff like that gets under his skin and he

wants a little repercussion for that so he's gonna do that but you know I feel

like the Mexican president here I don't know if he just doesn't care

cuz it's his last day just doesn't care but he looks a little bit outclassed

just in his confidence would you agree that he just looks a little less sure of

himself he's not sure what to do he's much quicker to follow everybody else

anytime anyone does something he's following right along and you didn't get

to see all the different nuances that were kind of boring but he's just

basically very supplicated and that's likely because he feels he doesn't want

to do something wrong or say something wrong what if I say something in Trump

the boisterous one comes on top of me and makes me look bad or Trudeau who

says something a lot of people feel this way when they're at work or when they're

out Pub liquor anyway we're on a first date

maybe they don't want to be too boisterous to the maitre d when they go

More 400 former DoJ employees sign a statement opposing Trump appointee Matt Whitaker

More than 400 former Department of Justice employees have signed a statement condemning President Trump's choice to appoint an acting attorney general.

In the statement, lawyers, judges and civil servants say that are 'disturbed' by Trump's choice to appoint Matt Whitaker to the role because he has not been vetted by the Senate.

They call on Trump to nominate a full attorney general to replace Jeff Sessions so that the candidate can be properly examined, and in the meantime to offer the role to the Senate-approved official who is next in line.

The statement says: 'We know that overseeing the Department of Justice is one of the most important roles in our government.

'The attorney general is responsible for ensuring that we are a nation of laws and that every citizen and every government official - including the President himself - is equally subject to those laws.

'Because of the profound responsibilities the position entails and the independence it requires, it can only be filled by someone who has been subjected to the strictest scrutiny under the process required by the Constitution.

'Mr Whitaker has not been confirmed by the Senate, his qualifications to be the nation's chief law enforcement officer have not been publicly reviewed, and he has not been fully vetted for any potential conflicts of interest.

After months of chastising Sessions for failing to protect him from the Russia probe into election interference, Trump finally fired his attorney general last month.

Session technically resigned, but made it clear in his letter to Trump that he was offering the resignation 'at your request'.

He was promptly replaced by Whitaker, a Trump loyalist who has previously described the Russia probe - which he is now overseeing - as a 'witch hunt', echoing Trump's own words.

But because Whitaker was appointed as acting attorney general, he has not faced Senators for the usual cross-examination before being confirmed.

The statement had 421 signatories as of Wednesday morning, but others are being asked to add their names with the list being updated twice daily.

Trump espouses positive relationship with Obrador amid push for Mexico regulate migrant flow

President Trump suggested that talks between his administration and Mexicos newly-empowered president are running smoothly as the governments huddled to discuss the Central American migrant crisis.

Trump didnt attend the inauguration of his counterpart over the weekend - he was concluding a grueling weekend of travel to South America for a gathering of world leaders - but predicted in a Monday tweet that they would have a positive relationship. 

Congratulations to newly inaugurated Mexican President @lopezobrador_. He had a tremendous political victory with the great support of the Mexican People. We will work well together for many years to come! Trump said.

Trump offered his congratulations hours after Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador spoke about how he had been respected by the U.S. leader in his first speech to Mexicos Congress as president. 

Obrador gave nods to the U.S. and Canada in his inaugural speech, which the presidents daughter Ivanka and Vice President Mike Pence attended as part of the official U.S. delegation. 

The Vice President of the United States and the senior White House official were the first foreign dignitaries that Obrador greeted from the podium on Saturday.

He said in his remarks that since he was elected, I have received respectful treatment from President Donald Trump. 

Trump had just signed a landmark trade agreement the day before with exiting Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. Hes looking to make a separate deal on immigration with Obrador that would see Mexico house migrants seeking asylum instead of allowing them to cross the border and resettle in the U.S. while they await hearings.

His Monday tweet complimenting Obrador followed a push earlier in the day for Congress to fund his long-promised border wall, which he said as a candidate would be paid for by Mexico.

Pena Nieto refused, leaving Trump to task the American taxpayer with affording the structure he says is necessary to keep out drugs and crime. 

Obador has also vowed not to pay for the wall. He did not discuss it during the speech, however,  that raged against a rapacious elite that he said had allowed the country to be overrun by poverty.    

In one of his first official acts, Mexicos new Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard met with U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday for what he called a  friendly meeting amid tensions over the migrant crisis at the border.

Friendly conversation as a first approach towards a long standing understanding between Mexico and the USA, Ebrard said on Twitter. I thank him for his attitude and respect towards the new administration of President Lopez Obrador.

Lopez Obrador, known as AMLO for short, is a leftist who was sworn in on Saturday, five months after a landslide election win.

On Sunday, Pompeo and Ebrard discussed a shared commitment to address our common challenges and opportunities for the future, according to State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert.

The two countries are grappling with how to handle the thousands of Central American migrants who are camped at the common border -- in the short and long terms.

President Trump is pressuring Lopez Obrador to accept a deal to keep asylum-seeking migrants in Mexico while their claims are processed in the United States.

Last week, Ebrard said he would like to see a sort of Marshall Plan to foster development in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, akin to what the United States did to help rebuild Europe after World War II.

Ebrard said such a plan would help shrink the number of migrants fleeing violence and poverty in their home countries and heading to the United States.

On Sunday, officials in the Mexican border city of Tijuana shut down a makeshift shelter in a sports complex housing migrants, citing unsanitary conditions, and moved them to a different facility.

Of the original 6,000 migrants who had massed in the city, only about 2,000 went to the new center, a city official told AFP.

Cold temperatures and driving rain made conditions in the open-air shelter too difficult.

Another 500 remained near the original site, fearing the move was a precursor to being deported, and were sleeping in the streets, the official said.

The whereabouts of the rest were not known.

The migrants, most of them from gang-plagued Honduras, had traveled for weeks hoping to reach the United States.

A week ago, US authorities fired tear gas and rubber bullets at about 500 migrants including women and children who had tried to breach the US-Mexico border.

The confrontation prompted hundreds of migrants to either head home or seek to remain in Mexico.

Text on screen: President Trump faces a challenging landscape in 2020 according to a new Grinnell College National Poll. While the President's approval rating increased slightly from September, he's losing support for re-election in 2020.

And the numbers here are very, very challenging for the president. So only

32% of Americans said that they would vote to re-elect the president in 2020.

That is simply not a winning coalition for the president. He's got to expand

that coalition if he's gonna win again in two years. Now interestingly, one

of the reasons that number didn't seem to move from what we found in September

is that even though the president saw an uptick in his support for re-election

among independents, it actually went somewhat down among Republicans. Now I

think that's probably a reaction to the 2018 midterm elections. Republicans

really performed badly. They lost 40 seats in the House of Representatives,

there were a lot of defections among college-educated suburban Republicans

voting for Democrats, and so my guess is there's a lot of Republicans right now

who are asking whether the president is really the best person to lead them in 2020.

Trump On Looming Debt Crisis: "Who Cares?" - Duration: 4:12.

The current national debt sits at about 21 point $6,000,000,000,000.

Now, if this had happened two years ago, Republicans would be up in arms right now about the fact

that the debt has been skyrocketing for the last two years, but because they have absolute

power in Washington DC, at least at this very moment, they don't seem to really care about

deficits anymore.

You see, Republicans only care about deficits when Democrats are sitting in the White House.

They run on deficits.

They make that the central piece of their campaign.

In fact, Donald Trump did exactly that, running in 2016 and now that he's president, he suddenly

doesn't care about the sky rocketing deficit.

In fact, according to new reports, he's actually told aides and other officials in the White

House that I don't care.

I'm not going to be here when it all blows up.

That's Donald Trump's thinking about how horrible the deficit is.

What does it matter?

Not going to be my problem.

That's for future generations to figure out and deal with.

I'll be long gone by then because after all projections do show that by the time of the

end of Donald Trump's alleged second term, uh, the debt is going to be out of control

and it's going to cause massive spending cuts, economic collapses, a, it's got to be basically

economic armageddon to an extent.

Is it something we can pull ourselves out of?

Absolutely.

We've done it plenty of times in the past.

We just have to have a responsible president and a responsible congress to understand what

needs to be cut and unfortunately we have Republicans in Congress right now who want

to cut all the wrong things rather than cutting the massive tax cuts that they gave to corporations

and billionaires.

They want to cut programs for the needy in the United States, food stamps, Medicaid,

social security, everything that helps keep people from going into abject poverty is what

they want to cut, but not the tax cuts for the wealthy, but that's a story for later

on.

The thing is Donald Trump's mentality right here is exactly how ceos in the United States

operate today.

Screw things up as much as you can.

You get what you personally can out of it and then you leave before the problem blows

up and the companies face because at that point you have no more liability.

You don't have to pay the costs.

You know if you're running a corporation and you poison 20,000 people and give them cancer

or if you're running an oil company and you have a massive oil spill because you cut safety

spending with your company, but now you're long gone and the oils everywhere or the pollutions

everywhere or the faulty product you approved is out there on the market killing consumers

everyday.

It doesn't affect you.

You got your golden parachute and you got your $600, million dollar severance and you're

out the door and Trump brought that same corporate mentality to the White House and that's why

all these republicans who for years, so it looks ruling the government local business.

Have you ever seen how a business is run in the United States these days?

Yeah.

Not exactly what we need at the federal level, but unfortunately that's what you gave us.

You gave us a guy who's trying to make as much profit off of the office of the presidency

as he can get as much clout, get as many supporters.

Then he's out the door when everything blows up in our faces and we're the ones who have

to pay the price.

We're the ones that have to clean up his mess, just like we did with George W. Bush.

It's not going to be easy.

It's not going to be pretty, but it will be doable.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump and all the republicans will help put us in this position.

We'll get away.

No consequences.

No.

You know, having to atone for their actions.

They can retire, go do whatever the hell they want with their millions of dollars.

While the rest of us continue to suffer with the mess that they created.

Over the weekend, Donald Trump was at the G20 summit down in Argentina where he met

with the leader of China and the two allegedly worked out some kind of deal to where they

were going to end the trade wars, uh, Donald Trump allegedly had put kind of a stop on

some of the tariffs that he had put in place and China was allegedly going to stop some

of the terrorists they had put in place and immediately start buying some products from

the United States again.

And everything was well for about a day.

And then idiot Donald Trump got on twitter and made things so much worse.

Well, I can't say that it was only Donald Trump who made things worse because before

that even happened, and I think it was actually in response to this, you had members of the

Trump administration, Larry Kudlow, his economic advisor, and then Steve Mnuchin at the Fed

who had to walk back some of Donald Trump's claims about what actually happened in that

meeting.

Because as it turns out, much like his deal with North Korea, nothing concrete was ever

discussed.

Nothing was ever put on paper.

No agreements were ever signed, it was just a couple of guys chitchatting coming up with

ideas that may or may not end up going into place to begin with.

So at that news, when those two administration officials had to walk back, Trump's bold claims,

the dowels started tanking, and then as I pointed out, Trump got on twitter, made it

so much worse by declaring himself tariff, man, I am a tariff man.

Donald Trump said, and he went onto more rant about why tariffs are good and tariffs are

great, and that only sent the Dow spiraling down even further.

Eight hundred points were lost yesterday, a single day on the Dow because of Donald

Trump and his disastrous policies.

You see, here's something that a lot of people don't understand about trading in the stock

market and all that.

Um, I know a lot of people who are financial planners, they've been traders.

They understand how it works and they've told me that they have to pay very close attention,

not just a policy, but to what presidents and high ranking politicians say because those

words, whether or not there's any policy behind them at all, those words themselves affect

the market either positively.

If the president saying a good thing or negatively, if the president says something that sends

investors running away and that is what Donald Trump did yesterday and it's what he's done

tons of times throughout his entire presidency.

That's why we've seen the stock market with these wild highs and wild lows because the

man is so schizophrenia himself that he doesn't know where he's going to be on any given day,

causing the market to become a bit schizophrenia as well and long as this madman is out there

on twitter, creating problems in real life and then allegedly solving them.

Although he didn't really solve anything, it's going to make the market go down.

Again.

Our economy at this point is very fragile, more fragile than Trump or anyone in his administration

or anyone in the Republican party is willing to admit.

The slightest provocation is going to send the entire economy back down the tubes, something

like trade wars, something like income inequality, something like rising debt and stagnating

wages.

All of the things that are literally happening in this country right now and what's going

to happen, mark, my words on this is that next year when shit starts falling downhill

and the economy goes down, Trump is 100 percent going to say that it is all because of the

Democrats taking over the House of Representatives.

Even though every available economist, whether they're on the left or the right, will tell

you that it's because of the disastrous policies put in place by Trump himself and his republican

followers who held office for the first two years of his presidency.

You interviewed -- What is he, you said?

-A Trump campaign adviser.

-Yes, in charge of re-election, I guess.

in a way that many have said,

"This is the template for talking to people

within the Trump sphere,"

and I just want to show it real quick.

Let's take a look.

-He said during the campaign

that there's six to seven steel facilities

that are gonna be opened up. There are none.

U.S. Steel has not announced any facilities.

Why did he say they've announced new facilities?

That's a lie, isn't it?

-No, it isn't, because there are a lot of companies opening up.

There are steel facilities that are gonna be opening up.

-No, no. Sorry. Sorry, Steven.

That's not what he said. I know it's difficult for you.

I know you want to try and defend him.

But let me read the quote to you.

"U.S. Steel just announced

that they're building six new steel mills."

That's a very specific claim.

U.S. Steel have not announced six new steel mills.

They have said they've not announced six new steel mills.

There's no evidence of six new steel mills.

He just made it up.

-The American people are doing well.

-That's fine.

The American people can be doing well,

and the President can be a liar.

There's no contradiction between those two statements.

[ Cheers and applause ] -So, well done.

Do you think --

I don't want to --

I don't want to put you inside his head,

but do you think he was unexpected

for how prepared you were?

What do you think was happening there?

-I think so. And to be fair to Steve Rogers --

that's his name -- he's a very nice guy

and, you know, good sport about it.

But he does Fox News most of his time.

And if he does do other cable news channels,

it's the same problem everywhere.

Unfortunately, interviewers on U.S. television

tend to have limited time, limited resources,

and just want to keep moving things along.

And when I interview people, I try not to move along.

I don't want to move on.

I want to stick to it and try and get an answer.

That's my job.

-Well, I think one of the things you did that was so nice

is, again, there's so much happening in the Trump campaign

that, I think, oftentimes, as an interviewer,

you're caught with,

"I want to hit 11 different topics."

You stayed on one thing.

-I was like, "The lies. Let's go with the lies."

There's six and a half thousand of them.

I'll pick three or four.

-But, you know, and that makes it --

I think they are hoping and waiting for you

to move onto the next thing.

-There's a bit in the clip, which you don't see.

He actually says to me at the end, he goes,

"Let's just move on. Ask me another question."

[ Laughter ]

I'm not gonna do that.

And the problem is, look, most people would move on

because it's -- it's uneasy.

It's not easy to go up

and to just keep asking someone the same question.

I don't like doing it.

You have to relentlessly keep asking the same question,

keep asking for answers, not moving on,

getting in people's face -- That's rude, right?

Seth, you don't want to be rude to your guests.

-Of course not. -It's socially awkward.

And we're taught not to be like that.

Although I'm British,

I'm rude and socially awkward to begin with.

So I may have an advantage over some Americans.

-But what are the differences that you've seen

in how the U.K. press and the U.S. press

deals with power?

-That's a very good question, and I think you guys --

Definitely, there's a cultural issue.

You guys had your revolution, War of Independence.

You kicked the Brits out.

And yet, weirdly, you're more deferential to power,

I would argue, than we are.

You know, the President walks into the East Room

of the White House,

and the White House press corps stands up, which I find --

British journalists, for all their sins,

would not stand up

if the Prime Minister comes into the room.

They'd be lucky to even pay attention sometimes.

You guys have this thing where it's kind of

Banana Republic-esque, where you allow your politicians

to have their job titles for life.

So, do you remember in 2012,

it was Governor Romney, Governor Romney.

Governor of what? His backyard?

He hadn't been governor of Massachusetts for five years.

Secretary Albright, Secretary Clinton,

Mayor Giuliani, Ambassador Bolton.

If anyone here lost their job,

they wouldn't get to keep the title the next day.

Why do you do that?

Why do you do that with your politicians?

It's weird. I just don't get it.

The biggest story to come out of the midterms was not the actual results.

It was the bombshell report that dropped after all the votes were counted.

And Americans were shocked to learn that the GOP was a victim of this election fraud crime

that has a scary connection to Hillary Clinton.

The fake news media used alleged Russian "hacks" of the Democrat National Committee and Clinton

campaign chairman John Podesta to claim the 2016 election wasn't on the level and that

Donald Trump was an illegitimate President.

Now the shoe is on the other foot.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) revealed that four top officials'

email accounts were hacked and thousands of sensitive emails were stolen by "an outside

intruder."

Politico exclusively reports:

The intrusion was detected in April by an NRCC vendor, who alerted the committee and

its cybersecurity contractor.

An internal investigation was initiated, and the FBI was alerted to the attack, said the

officials, who requested anonymity to discuss the incident.

Politico also notes that the NRCC did not inform the three top Republicans in the House

–Speaker Paul Ryan, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Majority Whip Steve Scalise – about

the hack because they thought making the intrusion would compromise the effort to identify the

hacker – whom they believe to be a foreign actor.

Republicans now wonder if this hack affected the election.

Top officials' email accounts were compromised.

Those email accounts likely included sensitive polling data and strategy plans.

Did this hacker – whom they believe to be an enemy agent of a foreign government – collude

with the Democrats by secretly sharing this information?

Races across the country could have been tainted by this cyber attack.

Critics believe this collusion is likely to have taken place because these emails were

never made public.

WikiLeaks release of emails obtained from the Democrats was used to publicly embarrass

the party for rigging the 2016 primary against Bernie Sanders.

But the fact that these hackers did not make their intrusion known suggests they obtained

the information for more clandestine reasons.

And it could very well be that the emails were shared with the GOP's political opponents

in order to hurt their candidates.

There is another disturbing aspect of this story.

The NRCC hired Crowdstrike – the controversial firm many Trump supporters believe fabricated

a report claiming the Russians hacked the Democrat National Committee's email servers

– to provide cyber security.

They paid Crowdstrike $120,000 in 2017 to defend against hackers.

But not only did Crowdstrike not defend against the cyber attack, they didn't even detect

it.

Another vendor alerted the NRCC to the intrusion.

This raised disturbing questions about Crowdstrike's conduct.

Critics wondered if they were just asleep at the switch or worse.

A former Democrat information security professional told the Daily Caller that he "hates"

Crowdstrike.

Despite news of this hack, so-called "mainstream" media figures did not call the election tainted

or the results illegitimate.

Their partisan hypocrisy shows that the outrage over the alleged hacks in 2016 had nothing

to do with maintaining faith in democracy—and everything to do with the fact that Donald

Trump won and Hillary Clinton lost.
