Trump news on Youtube May 17 2018

president Trump facing big foreign policy challenges including North Korea

Russia the Middle East and just in time for all these developments our friend

anchor of special report Bret Baier has a new book out that parallels today's

headlines it's called three days in Moscow Ronald Reagan and the fall of the

Soviet empire lucky for us Brett is right here in New

York with us Brett welcome thank you so tell tell us about the parallels well

there's a lot of parallels in the moments the challenges there are

obviously very different personalities but Reagan used a lot of bold language

that Washington foreign policy establishment kind of really had a

problem with back in the day I thought it was too aggressive and in that case

you know Donald Trump's tweets are similar in that way we'll see if Donald

Trump follows the the guidelines of these summits and how he got up from the

table if it didn't work I do want to bring in the book you know the book is

here and it came out this week and I saw you while talking about the books and

how Jesse is so prolific in his reading so I brought the young readers which

also comes a big print at the same time

you can color in the back doors by Brett Baier the monologue shushing that is

creepy is this the creepiest thing it's a hard

candy Valley it almost looks like you but because it's not like you it's just

freaky I keep it you know I take this everywhere that's really I travel on the

subway with it I've had three companies say they really want to they really want

to do this yeah but I think you should do it for the Children's Hospital

charity you know what you should do is do a promotion with your book on Twitter

that if somebody shows a receipt of buying your book they are part of the

auction for the bear

what is going through your mind when you get the five tossing to you at 5:59

essentially it is one of the most scary parts of the day especially if it's gray

yes just assume it's gonna rhyme Dana ponch she just says I don't have any was

there instances and not just with this summit that Ronald Reagan had the one

that you write about here yeah but were there instances where one of the parties

threatened to call it off yes Reykjavik they got up and left so it goes Geneva

Reykjavik and then Washington DC and Moscow and the reason this one is

important in Moscow is the final one and he speaks to Moscow State University

students about freedom and democracy and not like hitting them over the head that

we're better than you but sort of like a Pied Piper like come and see why the

West is the way to go you know what's interesting on that point I mean

obviously I think back I was covering the Reagan White House this is

perestroika and he makes tremendous inroads with Gorbachev but now we're

dealing with Putin and Putin has rejected the West and all of our offers

and help in terms of coming in to the Western world capitalist yeah it's a

totally different he's trying to recreate the Soviet Union expansionism

and Mikhail Gorbachev was a different leader and Reagan saw that and that's

why I negotiated with them a little fact in here Reagan and Gorbachev in Red

Square when they're walking around Marlin Fitzwater whispers in his ear and

says all these people around you they're not civilians they're KGB officers yeah

and one of them was believed to be Vladimir Putin knew you're killing three

days

so the title three days in Moscow I thought it was about Trump's visit for

the pageant is really thrilled with some news of the day just with you we just

did a block on the Trump Tower meetings on jr. and the transcripts that came out

and I'm just curious if you know some people are saying oh there's tons of

stuff in here that could really change the tide others saying it's a big

nothing burger I think that was Jessie what do you think is there anything new

here I do think that's what Dana pointed out I'm at the Penn afford notes is

actually really interesting the the notes in the meeting I also think that

Don jr. there's a lot of calls for him to come back up and testify because

there's some hazy memory there at the same time you look at this New York

Times piece about operation what does it crossfire hurricane and in deep in there

it says a year later there's still no evidence of you know any the Trump

officials colluding with Russia and I think both sides of this investigation

we have a lot to learn and we're probably months away can I just be on

behalf of America say no one cares okay no one cares

the bear doesn't even care tab so Senate Intel comes out and says much

differently than house Intel oh yeah Russia interfered and they favored Trump

does that matter what matters that they put it out and they were backing up the

intelligence community in in what they were put on a bipartisan report in a

bipartisan report and we're gonna have senator Lankford on special report

tonight to talk about that's a good guest yep Jesse you know I realize that

you love books so I want you to ask your toughest question now that we have bret

baier right here how will you handle the fact that Gutfeld might outsell you with

the monologues I like that he plugs my book

you got to kill me book out there you got the Gutfeld thing coming up yeah

Ainsley's got a book out we have a lot of books how will you feel if you don't

outsell all I'll feel like that bear those bears feeling pretty good right

now it's in the best seat my house my lap

right there before we go just on a personal note what do you hear from

Charles Krauthammer office so I had this email the other day he's doing better

his doctors say he's turned the corner and he hopes to be back in you know in

the panel and on the panel great good here's wishing you all the best Charles

I know you watch and does he watched as he watches watch and he watches the fine

I hope you merit ourselves Charles it's a little late for that I'm only a bear

with a human face huh that's true yeah this is where I am again yeah do you get

aggravated no I think it's good you know I can always hear you laughing because I

think you're trying to do a serious show

you

Retired Army General Exposes Why 'Songbird McCain' Won't Support Trump's CIA Nominee - Duration: 12:22.

Retired Army General Exposes Why 'Songbird McCain' Won't Support Trump's CIA Nominee

Why does he have that particular nickname?

Because when he was a POW in Vietnam, the torture tactics worked on him, and he "sang"

and ratted out his brothers.

This is the likely reason why McCain is now refusing to support President Trump's capable

nominee Gina Haspel for CIA Director since Haspel believes in "enhanced interrogation."

From Washington Examiner

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney on Thursday referred to Sen. John McCain,

R-Ariz., as "Songbird John" and said torture worked on the former POW.

McInerney, during an interview on Fox Business Network, was slamming McCain's refusal to

support CIA director nominee Gina Haspel over her past work at the agency involving enhanced

interrogation techniques that are considered torture.

"The fact is, is John McCain — it worked on John.

That's why they call him 'Songbird John,'" McInerney said.

"The fact is those methods can work, and they are effective, as former Vice President

Cheney said.

And if we have to use them to save a million American lives, we will do whatever we have

to," he continued.

McInerney was assistant vice chief of staff at U.S. Air Force headquarters in Washington,

where he was charged with the organization and administration of the branch's personnel.

On Wednesday night, McCain implored his Senate colleagues to reject Haspel's nomination,

citing her inability to address concerns with her role in the use of enhanced interrogation

techniques during the Bush administration at a CIA black site in Thailand.

McCain, a former naval aviator, spent more than five years in prison after being captured

by the North Vietnamese in 1967 during the Vietnam War.

He has been a vocal critic of torture since experiencing it as a POW before his release

in 1973.

McCain made his announcement from his home in Arizona, where he is being treated for

an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Robert Mueller Discovered One Phone Call That Is Devastating News For Trump - Duration: 11:36.

Robert Mueller Discovered One Phone Call That Is Devastating News For Trump

Robert Mueller is desperate.

His collusion investigation is a hoax and he's scrounging around for anything he can

use to make the case that Congress should impeach Donald Trump.

He's discovered one phone call that could be bad news for the President.

Mueller is zeroing in on the Trump administration's response to the story that a Russian lawyer

promised Donald Trump, Jr. dirt on Hillary Clinton in exchange for a meeting.

The lawyer lied.

There was no dirt—the lawyer wanted to lobby the campaign about lifting sanctions on Russia

adoption.

It was another supposed bombshell that fizzled within hours of its publication.

So Mueller – in his zeal to destroy the President – is focusing on a phone call

between Trump, top aide Hope Hicks, and former legal team spokesmen Mark Corallo, where they

discussed the administration's response to the story.

Corallo alleges that Hicks claimed the emails that Trump, Jr. eventually made public would

"never get out" and alleges that this meant she was trying to obstruct justice with

the President on the phone.

The New York Times reports:

"THE CONFERENCE CALL WITH THE PRESIDENT, MR.

CORALLO AND MS.

HICKS TOOK PLACE THE NEXT MORNING, AND WHAT TRANSPIRED ON THE CALL IS A MATTER OF DISPUTE.

IN MR.

CORALLO'S ACCOUNT — WHICH HE PROVIDED CONTEMPORANEOUSLY TO THREE COLLEAGUES WHO

LATER GAVE IT TO THE TIMES — HE TOLD BOTH MR.

TRUMP AND MS.

HICKS THAT THE STATEMENT DRAFTED ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE WOULD BACKFIRE BECAUSE DOCUMENTS

WOULD EVENTUALLY SURFACE SHOWING THAT THE MEETING HAD BEEN SET UP FOR THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN

TO GET POLITICAL DIRT ABOUT MRS.

CLINTON FROM THE RUSSIANS.

ACCORDING TO HIS ACCOUNT, MS.

HICKS RESPONDED THAT THE EMAILS "WILL NEVER GET OUT" BECAUSE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE HAD ACCESS

TO THEM.

MR.

CORALLO, WHO WORKED AS A JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SPOKESMAN DURING THE GEORGE W. BUSH ADMINISTRATION,

TOLD COLLEAGUES HE WAS ALARMED NOT ONLY BY WHAT MS.

HICKS HAD SAID — EITHER SHE WAS BEING NAÏVE OR WAS SUGGESTING THAT THE EMAILS COULD BE

WITHHELD FROM INVESTIGATORS — BUT ALSO THAT SHE HAD SAID IT IN FRONT OF THE PRESIDENT

WITHOUT A LAWYER ON THE PHONE AND THAT THE CONVERSATION COULD NOT BE PROTECTED BY ATTORNEY-CLIENT

PRIVILEGE."

Hicks' lawyer strongly denied this allegation and labeled it as false.

The Times also reports:

IN A STATEMENT ON WEDNESDAY, A LAWYER FOR MS.

HICKS STRONGLY DENIED MR.

CORALLO'S ALLEGATIONS.

"AS MOST REPORTERS KNOW, IT'S NOT MY PRACTICE TO COMMENT IN RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS FROM THE

MEDIA.

BUT THIS WARRANTS A RESPONSE," SAID THE LAWYER, ROBERT P. TROUT.

"SHE NEVER SAID THAT.

AND THE IDEA THAT HOPE HICKS EVER SUGGESTED THAT EMAILS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS WOULD BE CONCEALED

OR DESTROYED IS COMPLETELY FALSE."

Mueller's interest in this episode shows how desperate he is to destroy Trump.

Even if the initial statement to the media was misleading, that is not a crime.

If a special counsel was appointed every time a politician shaded the truth to the media

there would be 535 special counsels investigating every member of Congress.

Mueller digging into this meeting exposes that he is holding no cards.

If he really had any evidence of collusion or obstruction he would be pursuing that instead.

Investigations are supposed to be conducted in pursuit of evidence to prove a crime was

committed.

The Mueller probe is an investigation in pursuit of a crime.

Trump is being investigated because his real "crime" was winning the election against

the wishes of the political establishment.

So they are using this fake news Russia probe to try and tear him down.

It's an illegitimate assault on Democracy and it should be shut

down immediately.

Do you agree?

thoughts in the comment section.

What Trump Privately Whispered To His First Lady And Leaves Critics Speechless! - Duration: 16:27.

What Trump Privately Whispered To His First Lady And Leaves Critics Speechless!

Anytime President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania are seen together in public, the press

and public dissect their body language as a way to substantiate their claims that Melania

isn't unhappy with her husband and that Trump has no respect for her.

Since Story Daniels entered the scene, this sudden body language experts stepped up their

game throwing allegations about their marriage around like confetti, saying it's "clear"

than Melania feels trapped and wants out.

There's no shortage of lies and rumors that circulate about the first family, and this

is a major one.

It proves once again that the left has contention against the institution of marriage, as they

seek to destroy the president's, or at least convince others it's all just a sham for

show.

They can't stand and refuse to accept that a beautiful woman would be happy in a traditional

marriage to a very successful man.

Unhappy people who harbor hate for someone else want to believe those they target are

as unhappy as they themselves are.

No matter how hard they try to convince otherwise, Melania has proven she is still happy in life

and in her marriage.

Now, her husband just whispered a very incredible message in her ear that happened to be caught

on hot mic he didn't realize was left on.

The two shared a very tender moment that was unintentionally public, leaving all of their

critics speechless and it couldn't have come in a better moment.

Daily Caller reports: First lady Melania Trump revealed her signature

campaign to combat bullying and drug use Monday afternoon at the White House.

The president also revealed how he feels about Melania in a hot mic moment.

Melania's much-anticipated announcement was headlined by the first lady speaking to

a gathered audience of politicians and schoolchildren in the Rose Garden.

The campaign, called "BE BEST," is aimed at creating a healthy lifestyle for students

on social media and in the classroom.

It will also focus on prevention of drug and opioid abuse.

To make the campaign official, President Trump was on hand to sign a presidential proclamation.

Trump was invited onstage to join the first lady.

The two embraced and Trump could be heard saying "Good job honey," before moving

to the podium to make brief remarks.

It was after his remarks that the hot mic caught their private moment.

Daily Caller continued:

Trump said that "Everywhere she has gone, Americans have been touched by her sincerity,

moved by her grace, and lifted by her love."

The president continued, "Melania, your care and compassion for our nation's children

— and I have to say this, and I say it to you all the time — inspires us all."

The president signed the proclamation and gave Melania the pen.

The two embraced once again.

At this point, a hot mic caught Trump in all but a whisper saying to Melania "Thank you

sweetheart.

Congratulations honey."

The two kissed and Trump motioned toward the Oval Office saying, "Do you want to go with

me?"

This is genuine love, compassion, and appreciation for his wife.

He had whispered it in her ear, not addressing her specifically from the podium microphone,

as he has casually, and appropriately, in the past under different circumstances.

Melania has worked hard at perfecting her platform and presented it in an incredible

way, with passion and purpose for what she's really wanting to accomplish.

Michelle's "nutrition and fitness" platform was weak and rushed and she didn't seem

to care too much about it.

This began with what she picked for it which wasn't even a necessity in society.

While Melania has been criticized for taking too long to get her platform out there, perhaps

it was because she was taking her time to put together an incredible plan that will

really solve these serious issues that plague American kids and families.

So what if it took her a year to present it if it means that it will leave a lasting and

meaningful impact for years and long outlast Michelle's legacy which failed before she

was even out

of

the White House.

The FBI Director Threatened Trump In This Awful Way - Duration: 12:15.

The FBI Director Threatened Trump In This Awful Way

The controversy over the FBI's bias against Donald Trump is not going away.

The President is on the verge of releasing a memo that details how the Bureau abused

the FISA process to spy on members of his Presidential campaign.

And the FBI Director may have threatened the President in this awful way.

The Deep State is terrified of the Nunes memo.

It outlines the Obama administration and the FBI's abuses of power in spying on Donald

Trump's Presidential campaign.

After the House voted to make the memo public, Donald Trump had five days to declassify it.

The FBI strongly objected to the American people being able to judge for themselves

if the Bureau crossed the line in using the fake news Christopher Steele dossier to obtain

warrants allowing them to spy on the Trump campaign.

And CNN reported that new FBI Director Christopher Wray may resign if the memo was made public.

CNN reports:

"TOP WHITE HOUSE AIDES ARE WORRIED FBI DIRECTOR CHRISTOPHER WRAY COULD QUIT IF THE HIGHLY

CONTROVERSIAL REPUBLICAN MEMO ALLEGING THE FBI ABUSED ITS SURVEILLANCE TOOLS IS RELEASED,

MULTIPLE SOURCES WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE SITUATION TELL CNN.

WRAY HAS MADE CLEAR HE IS FRUSTRATED THAT PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP PICKED HIM TO LEAD

THE FBI AFTER HE FIRED FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY IN MAY, YET HIS ADVICE ON THE NUNES

MEMO IS BEING DISREGARDED AND CAST AS PART OF THE PURPORTED PARTISAN LEADERSHIP OF THE

FBI, ACCORDING TO A SENIOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL.

WRAY'S STANCE IS "RAISING HELL," ONE SOURCE FAMILIAR WITH THE MATTER SAID."

But once it became clear Trump was intent on releasing the memo, the sources who spread

these rumors began to walk them back.

It's clear the report of Wray wanting out was nothing more than a desperate attempt

by some to try and block Trump from releasing the memo.

It's understandable that Wray – and those who are sympathetic to the FBI – don't

want the American people to read the Nunes memo.

The FBI was once was a trusted institution.

But the memo will make clear that the Obama administration corrupted the FBI and weaponized

its leadership against Donald Trump.

We will keep you to date on any new developments

in

this story.

Trump Explains How His China Deal Is Totally NOT A Bribe - Duration: 1:00.

So, I want to take a minute

and thank the government of China

for giving 500 million dollars to a

Trump Organization business venture in Indonesia.

And I want to be clear,

it was totally NOT a bribe!

After I told the US Commerce Department

to help the Chinese phone company ZTE.

Not a bribe, ok?

Look, just because I, the US president,

am personally making money off of a foreign policy deal,

does NOT make it a bribe!

Also, if any other nations

want to give my companies a half billion dollars,

that also would NOT be a bribe!

Now if you excuse me,

I'm going to get back to draining the swamp...

to look for bribes!

WH: President Trump Hosts the California Sanctuary State Roundtable - Duration: 18:02.

thank you and there's some breaking news coming out of California actually DC

President Trump speaking at the White House he's meeting with officials from

California about the state's so-called sanctuary laws supporters say they

improved Public Safety by encouraging undocumented immigrants to cooperate

with police the Trump administration claims the laws are unconstitutional and

it's sued California a couple months ago let's listen secretary thank you very

much you know you folks are keeping busy

right keeping busy at those borders and deputy ice director Tom Holman who's

going to be leaving this soon for a life of retirement but there's no such thing

as retirement also with us is House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy who has

been a special friend of mine he represents California's 23rd

congressional district and he is very very popular and I just recently saw a

poll of Kevin I think he the opposition might as well just go home because Kevin

they love him out there and he's done an incredible job he's brought it home and

we appreciate it Kevin a great job you've done for the country thank you

very much unfortunately Congress and I have to say congressional Democrats you

take a look at what has been going on and what's going on with the laws

whether it's catch and release whether it's any of any of the things that we're

fighting for and so hard now we have started the wall with spending 1.6

billion between fixing and starting you know Melissa what's been going on we're

getting it up we have a lot of folks in California they don't talk about it but

they want the wall up and they're very happy that's one of the reasons we

started in California but we made a lot of progress on it and now we're going

for the full funding for the wall and we're going to try and get that as soon

as possible but it's become a very popular issue in

January the Los Angeles Police Department arrested an illegal immigrant

from Mexico for drug possession instead of honoring the ice detainer

they set him free just a few weeks later he was arrested again this time for

murder so they arrested him they had him they let him go Tom you've seen this

they let him go and he killed somebody and it's happening more and more and we

get them out as fast as we can read the worst laws anywhere in the world for

illegal immigration there's no place in the world that has laws like we did

catch and release think of it we catch somebody we find out they're criminals

we end up having to release them and they go into our society now we do the

best we can I'll tell you we do better than anybody and our numbers are much

better than in the past but they're not nearly acceptable and not nearly as good

as what we could have we're down 40 percent from those other standards so

that's really good meaning 40% crossings so that's good but we can do we can do

much better part of the problem that we have is our economy is so strong that

people are pouring up to get into our economy they want a piece of our economy

and that makes the job even tougher but we want to keep we want people based on

merit we want people to come into our country based orden merit we're not

looking to keep them out we're looking to bring them in we need them we have

companies moving back into the United States like never before Christ was

opening up now in Michigan we have so many companies actually coming from

Mexico even and coming back in so we want people coming in based on merit we

all remember the tragic case of Marilyn Ferris in California who was murdered by

an illegal immigrant who had been arrested six times prior to breaking

into Marilyn's home raping her and savagely beating her to death with a

hammer and this is one example but there are many examples I've been saying it

for a long time we cannot let this butchery happen in America

the state of california's attempts to nullify federal law have sparked a

rebellion by patriotic citizens who want their families protected and their

borders secured they want border security they want protection that's

what we're all about we're about protection both from international and

from frankly people crossing a border illegally I will now go around the room

and ask these incredible mayors and officials to discuss their brave stand

on behalf of their constituents they are very popular they are very well

respected these are the top people and there are people that other people

listen to and they listen to them from around the country so I'll begin by

asking California Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez and you have been an

inspiration to a lot of people most so so maybe you could say a few words and

we'll go right around the room okay Thank You mr. president thank you I just

want to start off by saying on behalf of everyone here thank you for inviting us

there are more people in California I think than you know who supports what

you're doing who-who believe in your agenda and securing our borders

everywhere in between front of San Francisco to Los Angeles you have

millions of people who want to see that our borders are secure and that our

neighborhoods are safe so we want to thank you for what you're doing I have

been in office in California for five years now and it's interesting to me

that you've been office for a year 17 17 months so 17 years but you have invited

us here to talk about this issue I've been in office in California for five

years not once as Governor Brown invited any Republican to discuss this issue in

Calabrian it is a crisis that's the point we're out in California it's a

crisis so for for me and my constituents and those are Democrats and Republicans

and independents alike because I get email

from all of them they don't want to see another heat styling that's what I hear

every single week they don't want to see another kid Stein so when my husband and

I talked about this issue we have 37 years of service between the two of us

we both served in the Navy that's where we met we know a lot about what it takes

to protect our way of life what it means to protect other people but we want to

make sure that that our citizens are protected and I think the resistance

that started in the Democrat Party this is your Republican resistance right here

against when they're doing in hell every odd Republican I mean this has really

become a Democrat issue a Republican issue I think a lot of the Democrat

politicians don't understand what's going on because it's actually good

politically people want safety thank you very much I appreciate it Sam Thank You

mr. president I am a proud immigrant here from Lebanon 30 years ago I came

here to live the American dream and we did well Jerry Brown wants to take this

American dream from us I see myself

please run but now I think he's gonna be retired for what I understand pretty

soon I see myself fighting for this values that made our country great mr.

president we are aligned with your goals here's the success story of his fundido

when I was elected mayor in 2010 I made the agreement with us we brought a pie

station to this cândido police station since then we deported over 2,700

illegal criminal criminals from our city and made Escondido as safe as it was in

1980 this is a great success story and our cooperation wise and the San Diego

advice is a very compelling model for the nation to follow in our city more

immigrant people report crime and this narrative that sanctuary city will allow

more immigrants to report is fake news mr. president cake is a

fake this we are we are going California is going down the drain it's gonna be

sorry the yellow Congress McCarthy but the

California is is is the least business friendly is the poorest city in in the

nation the highest poverty rate the highest taxes you name it instead of

fixing the Golden State and making it the American dream for everyone they are

dealing with illegal criminals when Jerry Brown cares more about illegal

criminals that he cares about the Hispanic community and the American

citizen this is insanity and this is unconstitutional when I sworn to be a

citizen and again as mayor I swore to defend the Constitution and to keep my

community safe this is personal to me I'm gonna work hard to make sure our

communities safe Escondido is a great example of our success as a result of

making Escondido safe we brought two billion dollars in investment to our

city and we outperform San Diego County in economic growth I am passionate about

it when I go back to California I'm going to start a PAC and we're going to

fight the fight we want to make sure if the Supreme Court does that repeal the

sanctuary state we're going to make sure the grassroot team like you see today we

will repeal that we are with you we need to build that wall we need to end the

sanctuary state we had eleven sanctuary cities not too long ago now we have five

hundred and sixty ten thousand illegal criminals have been released under the

sanctuary now is reversing soon and it really got bad and now it's reversing

it's a big change of heart of mine people don't want sanctuary cities the

dangerous they don't want too many more so thank you most of the people support

us mr. president sixty five percent of the Hispanic support was delivered the

Democrat everybody is supporting out in my city ninety percent are with us thank

you and I'll tell you what I had a lot more support in the state of California

than people check the voting records folks speak

frankly yes I'm sitting here in this room in awe of God's power how he can

take someone who was homeless in a tent make them the mayor in the city and

bring them before the President of the United States of America who wants to

hear the cry of our people and that's what's going on our people are the ones

hurting Sacramento is angry because they lost an election for God's sakes get

over it they're angry and you know what now we're more angry they're releasing

these criminals not by their houses they're not released and by their houses

they're releasing them by our houses our children are at risk my community is my

family you're putting my family at risk every day we're getting more and more

reports from the police department about how they can't arrest these people they

arrest him everything's a misdemeanor because it's not near jerry Brown's

house it's not near the elected officials

house it's in our communities and we're tired of it we need help

mr. president we need help protecting the city of San Jacinto Escondido the

state of California all of us need help getting this salt I was just at a church

the other day I was at my church and I went over to another one a Hispanic

church and all the people from the Hispanic church were out there and they

all came up to me and you just and mister tell mr. Trump that we have a

message for him we want help you see every one of us came from somewhere else

we all came from different countries my husband is you kind of hear from the

president there are some of the mayor's in California that's the mayor of

Santa's Center which is out in Riverside County saying look here's the deal we've

got these illegal immigrants who are being released because the state of

California is protecting him the president says well the tide is turning

and to a certain extent it is I mean you've got 22 cities in California who

have now opted out of California's sanctuary City policy and you've got

three major counties Orange County to Alameda County and San Diego County but

you have to keep in mind there are 58 counties in California so it's really

just the tip of the iceberg though there are more cities that are trying to get

in in this because there's been more

resistance to the president's right up to a certain point hilary von has been

covering this story and you mean you talked to these mayors you know kind of

where they're coming from the question is what's next I mean how many more

cities are we expecting and will California budge on this right so I

talked to several mayor's that are in that room right now with the president

and they tell me their goal the next step here is funding you have one city

that is currently battling the ACLU that's suing them for suing the state of

California over this they need money and funding because these legal fees are

being pushed to the taxpayers and so they're hoping that the president will

either indirectly or directly help them out with some funding here but then you

also have the main argument that they want to get across is that this is not a

political fight this shouldn't be this is about safety they want the support of

the White House they're hoping that at the end of this meeting there is some

sort of coalition or organization that's built out out of this that gives them

support from the White House to their hometowns because these people are

accountable to their constituents and they're hearing directly from them that

they don't feel safe and so these mayors are grateful to have a voice one mayor

told me that he is thankful that the president is listening because he

doesn't feel like the governor is listening to them so the fact that

they're being brought to DC that the president is listening to them and their

message I think is very important but this does come down to funding and

additional money as these cities battle several lawsuits as they're trying to

win this legal fight right and if you look at California we're in the middle

of a governor a gubernatorial election here and the leading candidate is gavin

newsom the former mayor of san francisco who who is further left than Jerry Brown

I mean he's more in favor of sanctuary cities he's more in favor of funding for

housing for the homeless and stuff so it's this is not going away I mean it's

not like we're gonna make this move to the right here in California this is

tough and when the old saying you can't fight city hall California's got a lot

of money in these small cities don't have very much money so it's gonna be a

battle for years to come right this resistance is growing for example the

city of Ridge cath ridge crest that's a city in leader Kevin McCarthy's district

desert yeah they're meeting tonight to discuss this very issue to decide if

there to join these dozens of other cities in

opposition to this sanctuary state law so we'll have to see what comes out of

that but Kevin McCarthy Leader Kevin McCarthy is in that meeting as well so

you're expecting to hear a lot from him on that as well yeah and we should note

Kevin McCarthy he's out in Bakersfield in Bakersfield is about 120 miles east

north and to the east of Los Angeles and that's kind of the red part of

California right there's to California's along the coast very blue along the the

deserts and so forth very red you can see on the list there most of those

cities are kind of in red California blue which is Los Angeles in San

Francisco really not having the same impact they're all in favor of the

sanctuary laws hilary vaughn thank you so much for joining us i want to bring

in Zeke Miller he's the White House reporter for The Associated Press and

I'm not sure if you listened in or were able to hear the Zeke but it's it's

fascinating to see the president bringing together these mayor's from

these cities who have opted out of the sanctuary policies because even though

it's still small a small contingent it is growing yeah it certainly is listen

you know to White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah on your air a couple

of hours ago and he said the president's aim today was to buck up the these

mayor's these local officials and those who agree with his immigration policies

and against whether it be their democratic state let's say lawmakers as

they're trying to build a coalition to sort of fight these same truths or to

sanctuary policies whether it be in Congress or in the courts and you know

we can't forget that California really is at war with the Department of Justice

here the Department of Justice has filed these lawsuits against California

California has filed counter lawsuits and and the question now becomes down

the road everybody's wondering can the federal government truly truly take away

some funding for these states who abide by these sanctuary policies and I think

Zeke the answer so far is we don't know yeah this is something that is locked up

in active litigation it will probably find its way eventually to the Supreme

Court pretty quickly and then and that's just sort of the legal side of things

the other is you know is there a easier

you

Just In Trump Goes Nuclear on Rebellious California - Duration: 11:29.

Just In Trump Goes Nuclear on Rebellious California

California is more or less in open rebellion against the federal government.

And reports out of the "Golden State" indicate that Trump is about to hit back,

hard.

Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf told local media that Trump had ordered the U.S. Immigration

and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to conduct a massive sweep of the San Francisco Bay area.

Schaaf, as mayor of one of California's rebellious "sanctuary" cities, insisted

she was releasing this information to "protect" people.

Not citizens, not legal resident of California, but the millions of people who entered this

country illegally.

Criminals.

She's snitching on the government to protect criminals.

Like most other cities in the state, Oakland has forbidden local police officers from cooperating

with ICE.

That, according to Jessica Vaughn of the Center for Immigration Studies, should be enough

for Trump to not only prosecute city officials like Schaaf, but to also drastically cut federal

funding of law enforcement in California.

"Why should a jurisdiction get taxpayer money for law enforcement when they're stiffing

one of the biggest law enforcement agencies of the federal government?" she asked in

remarks to Breitbart.

"They shouldn't.

There needs to be some consequence for having a sanctuary policy."

Pelosi Is Furious! Chuck Schumer Just Admitted That Trump Was Right All Along - Duration: 11:09.

Pelosi Is Furious!

Chuck Schumer Just Admitted That Trump Was Right All Along

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi awoke this morning to some news that had her downright

furious.

As it turns out, her buddy Chuck Schumer just admitted that their arch nemesis, President

Donald Trump, was right all along.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

According to The Daily Wire, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is a diehard "Never

Trumper."

He opposes every single thing that President Trump tries to do, and he'll do anything

he must to stop Trump's agenda from moving forward.

For example, in January, Schumer promised to provide $25 billion to Trump to fund new

border security measures — as long as Trump agreed to permanent legal protections for

illegal aliens.

Then, Schumer broke his word and withdrew the offer.

Chuck Schumer has also bashed Trump for his work to denuclearize the Korean peninsula,

even though the president is on the verge of ending the Korean War.

Schumer vehemently opposed Trump's huge tax cut for the middle class.

Schumer even attacked Trump for pulling out of a terrible trade deal and abandoning the

excessively costly Paris climate accord.

So, it comes as a real surprise that Senator Chuck Schumer is now parroting President Donald

Trump, who won the White House on a motto of "America First."

Last month, the Commerce Department banned American companies from selling specialized

components to a Chinese telecommunications company called ZTE, saying it had sold technology

to Iran, which is forbidden under U.S. sanctions.

But, Trump doesn't like the decision and said so on Sunday.

"President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company,

ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast.

Too many jobs in China lost.

Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!" Trump tweeted over the weekend.

Chuck Schumer is part of the Barack Obama/Hillary Clinton push for globalization.

To Schumer, other nations are just as important — sometimes more important — than the

United States.

Globalist Democrats labeled Trump a "bigot," a "racist," a "Nazi," a "xenophobe,"

and a slew of other derogatory things when he campaigned on the premise of putting America

first.

Now, apparently, they're on board.

What liberals do not seem to realize is that we will not be able

to help other countries or other people around the world if we do not start putting America

first.

Consider, for example, the trillions of dollars in aid we send to Third World nations each

and every year.

If America does not get back on track — and fast — we won't

be the only ones who are in trouble.

The foreign nations relying on our help will be in even worse shape.

We are doing the entire world a grave disservice by neglecting our problems here at home while

we irresponsibly give other countries all sorts of undeserved help.

Take Iran, for example.

Iranian politicians shout "Death to America" at their parliament meetings, yet we have

sent them billions of dollars, all while there are Americans, like our brave veterans, who

cannot get the help that they need.

This is

a travesty.

Likewise, the United Nations

has repeatedly worked against our closest ally — Israel.

Should we

be funding the UN to the tune of $8 billion per year?

Certainly not.

It is time to put America first.

And, apparently, even Chuck Schumer knows it, too.

Liberals Criticize One Thing About Trump's New Embassy - Duration: 11:07.

Liberals Criticize One Thing About Trump's New Embassy.

You Won't Believe This.

Once again, liberals are complaining about President Donald Trump.

As he fulfills another big promise from his campaign, they try to distract the public.

This latest attack reveals how desperate and pathetic they've become, and patriots everywhere

are laughing at them.

We know the left-wing media is stupid.

Their unending hatred of President Trump has made them all but irrelevant.

Why should anyone take their "coverage" seriously, anymore?

They've spent the good part of a year and a half reporting on things like Trump's

ice cream preferences and White House rumors.

When they do try to report on "real" issues, all we get is made up controversies about

Russia or an old porn star.

The mainstream media still can't get over Trump's victory.

They have made it their goal to undermine his presidency at every step.

Every time Trump wins something for the American people, they downplay it, distract from it,

or outright ignore it.

Some estimate the media's coverage of the President to be 90% negative.

So much for journalistic integrity.

Despite all of that, the President continues to make good on his promises.

One really big one was achieved this week.

During his campaign, Trump promised to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

It would be a clear sign that America acknowledges Jerusalem as the true capital of Israel.

Even though Congress voted to do so years ago, no President was willing to actually

do it — except for Trump.

When President @realDonaldTrump announced that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem

as the capital of Israel, he fulfilled another campaign promise, in addition to those that

go back 25 years….

pic.twitter.com/P7M2dEx2qT

— Dan Scavino Jr. (@DanScavino) December 7, 2017

Yesterday was the ceremony that officially unveiled the U.S. embassy's new home in

the ancient city.

It was another important promise kept by President Donald Trump.

Every America who respects and supports our ally in the Middle East celebrated the achievement.

Except, of course, liberals.

Even though they claim to support the Jewish people, they had little good to say about

the historic event.

Instead, much of the media focused on a 30,000+ riot of Palestinians outside the border.

They focused on the backlash by Israel's enemies, in order to discredit Trump and Israel

itself.

But that's not even the end of it.

Numerous liberals took to Twitter to complain about the embassy.

What do you think they were upset about?

The cost of the building?

Security?

Maybe they are upset with our ambassador, David Friedman?

It was none of that.

They didn't like the size of Trump's name on the plaque outside.

Seriously.

Now they're criticizing the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem because "'Donald J. Trump'

is in a larger font than 'Jerusalem, Israel'" on the ceremonial plaque [Source: Twitchy]

I mean, seriously Josh?

This man is a columnist for the Washington Post and a political analyst.

But he's so petty he complains about the font of Trump's name.

Pathetic.

But don't think it was just this fake news peddler.

Many more liberal idiots joined the chorus.

This happened https://t.co/00tPSP0lBQ

To him, it's a branding opportunity.

— Will Saletan (@saletan) May 15, 2018

Says it all.

This wasn't about support for Israel, it was about Trump's ego.

And it was a bad decision.

And innocent people died.

Were killed.

It's an embarrassing and shameful day for both US and Israeli leadership.

https://t.co/r2kuNE8v5y

— Michael Simon (@mbsimon) May 15, 2018

Yeah, it was about Trump's ego.

Because all of the hate he got from the America media was really worth it, to see his name

displayed on a tiny plaque outside a government building.

I guess Michael Simon has never seen this:

I don't think Donald Trump needs his ego to be stroked by something much smaller in

comparison.

(Don't buy what he said about "innocent people" dying.

The 50 people who died were terrorists who attacked Israel's border.

They flung Molotov cocktails and fired guns at Israeli soldiers.

These are the people Michael Simon calls innocent.)

Of course, there were stupid responses, like this:

This physically pains me.

@realDonaldTrump YOU DO NOT OWN THE UNITED STATES.

This is not a Trump Hotel.

It belongs to the people.

#gross https://t.co/UE03VjkxoD

— teri weinberg (@TeriWeinberg) May 15, 2018

This physically pains you?

Kid, you should see a doctor, because something ain't right.

Oh, and the embassy belongs to the people?

Then I guess it shouldn't display the name of the President, like every other government

building.

Naturally, as liberals complained about fonts, patriots were laughing.

That's all they got left, friends.

Font sizes.

Also, two scoops of ice cream.

https://t.co/3Qt11fIMvl

— Arthur Schwartz (@ArthurSchwartz) May 15, 2018

It's clear the liberal media has no credibility left.

They can't even honestly report on something so significant.

The U.S. embassy move is a major win for our ally in the Middle East.

It is a sign that America means business in supporting Israel.

Every American should be celebrating.

But the bitter, enraged left, so petty and childish, cannot.

The worst they can do is bicker about the size of Trump's name on the wall.

Just imagine how big it'll be on the border wall.

Giuliani: Mueller Can't Indict Trump - Fox & Friends 5/17/2018 - Duration: 12:57.

it is America's number one cable morning news show and you are watching her right

now welcome aboard the 7 o'clock hour of Fox and Friends Ainsley's in England and

Abbey's in her place she's living at a drink tea the proper way right give me

all our tips when she gets home and we'll find out once a parole if she

likes warm beer because that's how they they don't really refrigerate things

over there and it started refrigerated more on that later

England discovered free on we're gonna discuss that next hour good point all of

you thanks for joining us Mayor Rudy Giuliani scrambled early changed outfits

right up to Laura Ingraham show to help us out through the wingull tagamet

tangle mince which are the Muller investigation thanks so much for joining

us for the quick turnaround mr. mayor nice to be with you always

all right first off on some of the things you revealed last night when you

were sitting down with Robert Muller and others he made it clear to you there was

Robert Muller when he said I can we don't believe we can indict a sitting

president was he trying to get your guard down as if what are you afraid of

guys just bring him in no I don't think that I came up this way we we I asked

him specifically if they if they realized or acknowledged they didn't

have the power to indict both under the Justice Department memo which gives them

their power in essence confined state power and under the Constitution and he

said well he did he he would answer and one of the assistants said they

acknowledge they had to be bound by Justice Department policies and then the

next day or the day after they clarified it for Jay Sekulow who was with me at

the meeting that they didn't have the power to indict that what they would

eventually do is write a memorandum and give it to the Deputy Attorney General

Rosen Steve and we never got to the issue with subpoena he I think he had

raised that earlier with with John Dowd but it didn't come up with me but we're

pretty comfortable that in the circumstances of this case they wouldn't

be able to subpoena him personally really well there's no Supreme Court

decision that really is right on on point

there are several decisions around for example they could probably require

documents to be produced that's what was required of Nixon and we've produced 1.4

million dot they could probably require you to

testify in a civil case possibly even as a witness in a criminal case but they

can't let they can't require you to testify and what would be your own case

because they have to roll it's it's all about a possible impeachment impeachment

has to come before indictment and that's what that's a law not just in the United

States that's the law the governs for most heads of state in the world

so so essentially your team is saying hey mr. Maule you you cannot subpoena

him to get him to come and talk to you because that would violate article 2 of

the Constitution and executive privilege so it's a no right well also it would

violate the just Department policies and he is specifically appointed under those

policies so he has to follow those so we could go to court and challenge anything

that he did that was violative that those apologies what he's being

challenged by Manafort looks like successfully to produce his

authorization to indict Manafort that's not clear that he has it so I don't

think he wants to battle with us other than that yeah there is a narrow set of

circumstances you kind understand the president wants to testify

I want it wants to give out give his side of the case that she believes is

the truthful one he keeps saying to me I never talked to any Russians I had

nothing to do with any Russians what is this nonsense about Russians and about

obstruction to justice what he says very simply is I'm just expressing my opinion

mm-hmm I can't say that Comey is doing a bad

job I'm obstructing justice if I decide that

the director of the FBI is doing a bad job that's ridiculous so he wants to

express that now on most side everything he says they believe they can examine

his motives so if they had an open mind we would be inclined maybe to let our

client do what he wants to do yeah what do you think happens to James coming

you've been critical of him about leaking his memos you say he needs to be

personally investigated where do you think that goes well I don't know how

you can fire FBI agents for leaking less sensitive things and not fire him for

leaking a memo that he is variously classified as an FBI document his own

personal document first of all nothing is his personal document when he's

director of the FBI and he's sitting down and trying to memorialize a meeting

with the president the United States give me a break call me I mean even you

can't stretch the truth that far you you go pretty far but I can't stretch it

that for so I mean this whole I mean I think the investigation should be thrown

out because it all began with an illegal act commis leaking of the memo to the

professor who the house now wants to find out all the circumstance of that

it's gonna be a pretty slimy situation right I'd like to know how often call me

leaked at other surfaces - yeah I mean you just think you'd be so comfortable

doing it and so easily he said it and then we find out the guy had special FBI

clearance mr. mayor we had Judge Napolitano here and you guys go away

back to old Italy in your rivalries with your families I'm only kidding

but he came out and says listen I love Rudy but he's making a mistake poking

the bear by telling mo to wrap it up you don't want to poke the poke to grab the

tiger you don't want to aggravate him because they make your life miserable

have you examined your tactics and thought about the baby the backlash

somebody has to defend the president and that's my job and if he wanted to get

angry get angry at me not the president I'm the one doing it and the reality is

that's my job my job is not to you know lean over and let him beat the hell out

of us that's what was going on before I got here it's my job to make the case

for the President of the United States I'm very proud of that and I think it's

very different now than it was a couple weeks ago you know since I got involved

in the raskins and Ryan and Jay we're one team now what we're doing what the

president wants and we're fighting back you know I look they're professionals

and if they're not there's a remedy can be in court I mean oh all they can do is

write a report right so how bad that is sure can you deal with that we can write

- can you see any scenario mayor where the president would sit down with Muller

yeah sure absolutely I think you know it depends on if if they're willing to be

reasonable we've written them five letters three when John Dowd was in

charge - since I came aboard asking for things that we would need in order to

decide whether to submit him to questioning which every lawyer in

America I think even Judge Napolitano would tell

you he shouldn't do sure I mean we're gonna be the laughingstock of warriors

and we let him testify guys but you can be sure we're only going to do that if

we feel there's a way to shorten this thing if we're in for a long

investigation we'll fight every single thing whether people think it's nice or

not nice or if you're innocent you've got to fight back and the president is

innocent and he is absolutely right because when I get insulted you get

insulted but it's a damn witch hunt well I tell you what the Moller investigation

officially started a year ago and today the New York Times had a great big

article about the operation that led to it it was called Operation crossfire

hurricane and it sounds like the New York Times is confirming that the FBI

essentially spied on the Trump campaign in the summer before the election which

would suggest they were out to frame it here's the exact quote at least one

government informant met several times with Paige and Papadopoulos current and

former officials said that has become politically contentious point with

Trump's allies questioning whether the FBI was spying on the Trump campaign or

not this was buried in a 4,000 page story but what I just read to you what

is your stand on that what is that does that change anything what would changed

a lot of things I mean first of all we're gonna have to look into as a

result of the times the article Thank You New York Times they usually don't

help us in in this case I think we're gonna have to look into whether we can

challenge the legitimacy of the entire investigation maybe a special process

prosecutor special counsel never should have been appointed not based on an

illegal leak not based on a set of facts that go back to I mean I'm shocked to

hear that they put a spy in the campaign of a major party candidate or maybe two

spies and now I'm going through my brain since you know I was a big part of that

campaign trying to figure out who was the spy now I'm wonder is is this person

or that person or this person now if it's fine they got nothing from it look

they'd be able to bring their case right now is the spy had any incriminating

information that spy should have been enough to tell them these people would

not talking to the Russians there's no collusion we need enough

evidence to put a spy on someone to subpoena someone I mean there are still

a lot of questions as to the evidence that ultimately led to this

investigation well it's kind of like the Big Bang Theory right Abbi I mean

obviously they didn't have enough evidence to put a spy in I mean you

don't know you don't need enough evidence that put a spy in to put one in

on the president United States that would seem to me you darn well better

have it they didn't have it because they don't have it now yeah it wouldn't be

look if they had if they had had a spy mr. spy got incriminating evidence

they'd be able to wrap this investigation up I wouldn't be sitting

here we've been dealing with whatever the aftermath of the investigation is so

all we know is they may have had somebody inside close to the campaign

but so far that would be the biggest scandal in the history of this town at

least involving law enforcement and I have there's no one that has more

respect for the FBI agents the minim of the FBI than I do and I would I mean

Comey has put them through hell he put him through through this as well really

to clear the name of the FBI he should be proud he should be prosecuted and his

friend McCabe who who one of them is one of them's lying I mean they're now going

at each other one of them is lying I mean he can toss a coin to figure out

here's one well let's see the president should've fired him I know well let's

see if any of this is addressed in the inspector general's report which should

be out very shortly Rudy well looking forward to that guys I'll see you back

in New York all right good day he was on late last night to Julian for some other

Trump Just Got PRICELESS Justice! Legal Action Is Finally Coming And The Timing Couldn't Be Better! - Duration: 12:09.

Trump Just Got PRICELESS Justice! Legal Action Is Finally Coming And The Timing Couldn't

Be Better!

As more is revealed about the level of corruption and the degree of conflict of interest that

exists within Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team, it becomes more abundantly clear Mueller's

many actions are a stain upon the legacy of American jurisprudence. President Donald Trump

is now suggesting that "angry Democrats" on special counsel Robert Mueller's team

could potentially face legal action over these "conflicts of interest."

President Trump states – "The 13 Angry Democrats in charge of the Russian Witch Hunt

are starting to find out that there is a Court System in place that actually protects people

from injustice…and just wait 'till the Courts get to see your unrevealed Conflicts

of Interest!" Naturally, CNN was quick to point out that

President Trump did not provide proof of the alleged conflicts. Yet, CNN themselves has

previously reported that several members of Mueller's team have donated to Democrats,

several exclusively so. A handful more either worked directly with or for Hillary Clinton

or Barrack Obama in some prior capacity. Russia's meddling in the 2016 election also has been

the subject of several Republican-led congressional inquiries.

President Trump has suggested this probe is being drug out as a means to damage Republican

chances at reelection. Several leaked questions that Mueller is interested in asking President

Trump are related to possible obstruction of justice actions. President Trump states

that such questions amount to a "setup and trap" and that it would "seem very hard

to obstruct justice for a crime that never happened!"

Last month, President Trump also stated on "Fox & Friends" that he might "at some

point" step in and take action against the Justice Department, which is overseeing the

special counsel investigation. Mueller is a Republican who was appointed by President

George W. Bush, and the man who appointed him as special counsel, Deputy Attorney General

Rod Rosenstein, was appointed by current President Trump.

Meanwhile, Rep. Louis Gohmert (TX-R) from Texas' 1st congressional district attempted

to shed some light on Mueller's rather long, troubling, and sordid history of illicitly

targeting innocent people.

Gohmert states – "Judging by Mueller's history, it doesn't matter who he has to

threaten, harass, prosecute or bankrupt to get to allege something or, for that matter,

anything. It certainly appears Mueller will do whatever it takes to bring down his target

— ethically or unethically — based on my findings.

What does former Attorney General Eric Holder say? Sounds like much the same thing I just

said. Holder has stated, "I've known Bob Mueller for 20, 30 years; my guess is he's

just trying to make the case as good as he possibly can."

Holder does know him. He has seen Mueller at work when Holder was obstructing justice

and was therefore held in Contempt of Congress. He knows Mueller's FBI framed innocent people

and had no remorse in doing so." Gohmert describes Mueller's disreputable,

twisted history and how it speaks to the character of the man placed in a position to attempt

to legalize a coup against a lawfully-elected President. He explains – "Any Republican

who says anything resembling, "Bob Mueller will do a good job as Special Counsel,"

"Bob Mueller has a great reputation for being fair," or anything similar; either

(a) wants President Trump indicted for something and removed from office regardless of his

innocence; (b) is intentionally ignorant of the myriad of outrageous problems permeating

Mueller's professional history; or (c) is cultivating future Democrat votes when he

or she comes before the Senate someday for a confirmation hearing."

From his early years as an FBI Director, Gohmert describes how Mueller was given a pass in

oversight hearing from most Republican members of Congress. This allowed him to avoid answering

any tough questions. Gohmert states they were continually told – "Bush appointed him."

so it was okay to proceed. He also describes how glaring problems because evident very

quickly.

The Boston Globe noted Mueller's connection with the Whitey Bulger case in an article

entitled, "One Lingering Question for FBI Director Robert Mueller" during his FBI

tenure. The Globe stated this –

"[Mike] Albano [former Parole Board Member who was threatened by two FBI agents for considering

parole for the men imprisoned for a crime they did not commit] was appalled that, later

that same year, Mueller was appointed FBI director, because it was Mueller, first as

an assistant US attorney then as the acting U.S. attorney in Boston, who wrote letters

to the parole and pardons board throughout the 1980s opposing clemency for the four men

framed by FBI lies. Of course, Mueller was also in that position while Whitey Bulger

was helping the FBI cart off his criminal competitors even as he buried bodies in shallow

graves along the Neponset…"

During this time Mueller was the head of the Criminal Division as Assistant U.S. Attorney,

and then later as Acting U.S. Attorney. No explanation as to exactly WHY Mueller insisted

on keeping the defendants in prison that FBI agents—in the pocket of Whitey Bulger—

had framed for a m****r they did not commit can be found anywhere. Perhaps not good people

themselves, nevertheless not guilty of these crimes. However, it is indicative of a larger

and more insidious pattern demonstrating Mueller's penchant for convicting and putting people

in jail he disliked, even if they were innocent of the charges, much more so than he was with

ferreting out the truth.

Mueller bore no responsibility for $100 million paid to the defendants who were framed by

FBI agents under his control either. As the Boston Globe noted – "Thanks to the FBI's

corruption, taxpayers got stuck with the $100 million bill for compensating the framed men,

two of whom, Greco

and Tameleo, died

in prison."

Transcripts Tied To 2016 Trump Tower Meeting Are Released - Duration: 15:47.

developing news right now the Trump Tower meeting transcripts have been made

public and Donald Trump jr. is speaking out about it

let's go outnumbered over time i'm harris faulkner thousands of pages of

documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee's interviews with Donald Trump

jr. and other participants in that 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians were

released today it is the most comprehensive yet look yet into that

controversial get-together Donald Trump jr. said this in a statement I

appreciate the opportunity to have assisted the Judiciary Committee and

it's inquiry the public can now see that for over five hours I answered every

question asked and was candid and forthright with the committee Allison

barber is live for us in Washington with the news Allison Harrison his testimony

Trump jr. told the Senate committee that he did not tell his father about the

email setting up that meeting he doesn't know when the president and his team

learned of the email when it comes to questions about president Trump's

involvement in a July 8th 2017 statement about that controversial meeting Trump

jr. seemed to suggest he was at least somewhat involved through former White

House communications director hope Hicks in the July statement Trump jr. told the

New York Times the meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia vessel Nets kaya was

primarily about Russian adoptions he did not mention the fact that he agreed to

the meeting after a British publicist named Rob Goldstone told him that the

person had information that might hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign The

Washington Post reported that President Trump dictated the statement on Air

Force One the committee asked if that was correct to which Trump jr. replied I

don't know I never spoke to my father about it

he was later asked did the president provide any edits to the statement or

other input Trump jr. said he may have commented through hope Hicks he's in

Astin do you know if his comments provided through hope Hicks were

incorporated into the final statement Trump jr. I believe some may have been

but this was an effort through lots of people mostly council a ranking member

of the Senate Judiciary Committee says the public has a right to know about all

of these interviews a committee Democrat says mr. Trump's answers were not good

enough he needs to come back before

testifying a person under oh there is a lot that needs to be explained I have no

confidence that the public has a right to know and the public can go through

these two thousand pages and make up their own mind draw their own

conclusions they don't have to have it deciphered by members of Congress the

president's son-in-law Jared Kushner and former campaign manager Paul Manafort

also attended the June 2016 meeting they don't mind to be interviewed by the

committee in person but they did submit written statements Harris Wow some news

there with that accusation of lying by Blumenthal toward Don jr.

I will talk about that coming up with my guest thank you very much good to see

you Ellison Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have released a

statement saying the June 9th 2016 meeting is one piece of a much larger

puzzle and confirms that the Trump campaign was willing to accept Russia's

assistance their efforts to conceal the meeting and its true purpose are

consistent with a large pattern of false statements out the Trump campaigns

relationship with Russia end quote and overtime welcome now to Republican

Congressman Jim Jordan from Ohio member of the House Judiciary Oversight

Committee so I no doubt you caught that Blumenthal accusing Donald Jr Donald

Trump jr. of liar that would be a felony yeah I mean look the Democrats want to

make a lot about this this meeting which no information that no real information

ever came out of they never want to talk about the fact that Glynn Simpson was

meeting with that Russian lawyer who was in that meeting he met with her both

before the meeting and after the meeting in New York that's been reported

everyone at ApS Houston GPS right right the guy that the group that was paid for

by the Clinton campaign the Democratic National Committee to put together the

dossier who hired Christopher steel so look I have not read the transcript it

just came out today I think there's lots of other important information that we

need to get and that's why we've sent a letter to the president today Harris

asked you to get some of those some of those key information that they've

repeatedly denied us from from getting access to

can we take a pause on that for just a second I really want to illuminate what

you're talking about now because if Democrats are saying that Donald Trump

jr. and others are lying about this meeting where does that get us you say

that there's information in these documents you'll get to read those

transcripts what are you looking for well I haven't read them yet so I do

want to get a chance to go through them they just came out this morning those

the transcript from from from when when Donald Trump jr. was interviewed and

Senate so I'll take a look at that but we haven't seen it yet what I do know is

there's all kinds of information that we've asked the Department of Justice to

give us they've repeatedly not given us that information we want access to that

information as a separate and equal branch of government okay so I have that

letter I'm gonna read from it now dear mr. president so now you're not reaching

out through the DOJ it's my understanding that you just took this up

a notch that it just got hotter we write to request that you exercise your

authority as president of the United States to instruct Attorney General Jeff

Sessions to immediately produce all documents requested by Congress relating

to our investigation of certain prosecutorial and investigative

decisions made by the DOJ these are Republicans and he is a Republican AG

what is going on well we're tired of unelected people at

the Department of Justice repeatedly not giving us information we're entitled to

receive as a separate equal branch of government and keeping information from

us for example why did James Comey not tell us that the guy he leaked

information through to the New York Times Daniel Richmond was actually an

employee a special government employee at the FBI why did they try to redact

and not tell us that Peters truck had a relationship with one of the FISA Court

judges the same federal judge who heard Mike Flynn's case why was that redacted

in the text messages we got from Peter struck at least the page that they gave

us they redact that information and what did it they never told us why jim bakker

general counsel at the FBI why he was demoted and reassigned and then just two

weeks ago why he retired from the FBI all kinds of information they've tried

to keep from us we it's like pulling teeth every time where we try to get

something that's what's so frustrating not just for us but for the American

people who want answers to important questions so

in the heat of the moment to get that information you take this to the

president no doubt you and the other freedom caucus members I believe mark

Meadows is on that list with you and Rhonda Santos of Florida to get together

somebody has to say in the room can the president do this and the answer is he's

the head of the executive branch this is all about transparency what I mean when

you have things that let's remember this to when they took the dossier to the

court when they wouldn't got the FISA warrant to spy on Carter page they

didn't tell the court two important pieces of information they didn't tell

the court who paid for that dossier and they didn't tell the court that the

author had been fired by the FBI because Christopher Steele was working they

didn't tell him that relationship had been terminated because Christopher

Steele was leaking information leaking information about his relationship with

the FBI you you and I go to court we have to

give the truth the whole truth the FBI didn't do that nothing but the truth the

FBI didn't do that so this is the context we find ourselves in not to

mention Harris the fact that James Comey has been fired deputy director Andrew

McCabe has been fired and faces criminal referral Jim Baker chief counsel at the

FBI was moded reassigned and has now left employment at the FBI lisa page FBI

counsel demoted reassigned left the FBI and Peter struck deputy head of

counterintelligence demoted reassigned that's the context we find ourselves in

and we're just saying as a separate equal branch of government as people put

go on the ballot every two years and get elected by the American people we have a

right to get information so we can get answers to critical questions the

American people have can I ask you to just what this means from Jeff sessions

because it's gotten a little politically at now the judgment Andrew Napolitano is

next to me you may hear him he's chuckling as I asked this question this

is politically a fireball in some ways for him to handle I mean he's had he's

recused himself from the Russian I mean what do you anticipate will

happen with AG sessions if the president then kind of dinosaur steps his way in

and says yeah I'm gonna declassify make this public and move this forward well I

don't know this is the short answer but I think the president knighted States

just as we say in our letter should tell Attorney General Jeff Sessions Deputy

Attorney General rod Rosenstein give Congress give the legislative branch the

information they need it's in everyone's best interest to have transparency so we

can once and for all figure out exactly what happened here

for example Harrison we'd like to see this August 2nd memo mr. meadows and I

wrote a letter a month ago asking the Justice Department's let us see this

August 2nd memo which was some kind of change to the scope of the Special

Counsel investigation and then just two weeks ago the federal judge says he

wants to see it as well so this is the kind of thing we need to get access to

and the only way to do it now the only way to do it now is for the President of

the United States to tell the Attorney General to give us the information I

want to go real basic before I let you go people will watch this around the

country and they'll wonder okay you get into a dispute with somebody do you get

together have you talked directly with the Attorney General jeff sessions to

find out what's holding up quickly what did he tell them no I talked we talked

with said Attorney General Jeff Sessions last fall when we were talking about the

need for a second Special Counsel to look at all this I don't like special

counsels but I don't know how the FBI investigates themselves we also have

talked with mr. Rosen Stein in / and in person and asked him specifically about

what I just thought up the August 2nd memo and a host of other things he that

wasn't you know I don't know that meeting was all that productive but we

did raise these same kind of issues with mr. Rosen sign as well I just asked

because people will kind of scratch their heads as well they're all there

together why don't they just talk we did we've tried yeah we've tried everything

Harris we have tried everything and that's why that's why we finally said

we're going to go to the to the individual elected by the American

people who heads the executive branch we're going to go to him and say give us

this information so we can get the answers representative Jim Jordan we

appreciate you updating on us this and then the breaking news of this

letter that you have sent the president will bring you back when we know what

that response is - good to see you thank you thank you take careful all right

let's get some legal dissection here from someone who has seen it up close

and watching it unfold Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano

what do you make of that the letter is extraordinary and I cannot recall a time

in the modern era where leaders of the House of Representatives wrote directly

to the president about their frustration with the Justice Department when the

when they're all in the same party when they're all in the same parties things

are usually resolved behind closed doors with a phone call the president has

taken the position in my view very admirably but this is frustrating that

he will not get involved in the management of the DOJ because he is a

subject of a DOJ Department of Justice investigation at some point he's going

to say enough is enough I must object here over here I'm going

to manage I understand Jim Jordans frustration and it is this when the

documents do come out from the Department of Justice so much of it is

redacted and when they get the redactions removed they see things that

shouldn't have been redacted but were redacted to save the author of the

document from the embarrassment not to save a national secret not to save the

identity of our intelligence source but to save embarrassment you know we've

been down this mimmo road and declassification roads so much in the

last few months and the president has weighed in on occasion with things you

know you saw that the different memos inside the House Intelligence so we do

know that he can weigh in and and you're saying Lee he he will at some point

potentially at some point he's gonna say enough is it is this letter a tipping

point from these members of the freedom caucus is this enough to get the

President to say you know what do J heads I want this to cluster I don't

know if it's enough but it is certainly a march in that direction the next step

and this is the second to last step is to hold either Attorney General Jeff

Sessions or deputy and I'm not suggesting this be done and Jim Jordan

knows that they can do this they have the votes to do it okay Deputy Attorney

General rod Rosenstein in contempt yeah I want to comply with a bone

five legitimate congressional subpoena Rose Jeff Rossen Stein's argument is we

can't give you certain things because we're in the middle of an investigation

and if we give them to you and you reveal them and your some of your

members like to reveal this stuff it will tip off witnesses and tip off

potential defense I like the way you put that you didn't even use the word leak

when we have an impasse like that between the executive branch and the

legislative branch where do we go to the judicial branch put this stuff in camera

in secret before a judge and let the judge decide what Congress gets and what

the DOJ keeps how before we move on how complicated is it that Jeff Sessions has

recused with the president if he's held in contempt is that a fireable situation

well the president can fire a member for any political you know I think it would

be unfair to target Jeff Sessions because he has recused himself it would

not be unfair for the Congress to target rod Rosen Stein because with respect to

this area he is effectively the Attorney General

Wow uh house freedom caucus just turned up the heat let's talk about the Trump

Tower meeting real quickly Donald Jr Donald Trump jr. coming out today saying

hey at least everybody can see all the questions I was asked so on and so forth

what do you make of the transcripts and what's out there

I think the transcripts are equivocal I'm smiling because I read the

Democratic version of any would think it was two different transcripts but it's

the same to the Democrats you just played a clip Ellison Barbour played the

clip of Senator Richard Blumenthal

accusing him of committing a felony which is lying to the congressman I

believe it was under oath but it is still a crime to lie to Congress in a

formal interrogation setting whether you're under oath to the

GOP to the GOP we know that the Russian so-called Russian adoption lawyer was a

Russian agent and that she met with these people intending to bring them

into her orbit we don't know if she succeeded that's what Bob mowers a lot

of line legal situation for Donald Trump to the crime if there is one is not the

receipt of assistance from the Russians it's the agreement to receive assistance

that's what Muller is looking for I don't know if that comes out in the

2500 pages that we saw today or they also don't know what else Mull around

and it goes back to Jim George's Porsche then to get that scope memo how wide can

Miller go and what's he looking at he wants that pie I haven't seen it but

I'm sure it's very wide gave him a broad a broad brush by the way thanks for

joining me live from New York when I was in Israel it was a hoot all right is the

summit off the threat from North Korea when it comes to next month's highly

anticipated sit-down between our presidents and their dictator its North

Korea merely posturing or is this a serious hurdle now the president has a

message for kim jeong-hoon a short time ago he gave it as the White House says

it is ready for whatever happens stay close the president's that toughest

negotiator around he's prepared to go through this process his team is

prepared to go through this process and this is not something that is out of the

ordinary in these types of operations

President Donald Trump holds Meeting on California Sanctuary Cities - Duration: 53:14.

and sheriff's and local leaders from across the state of California great

state each of you has bravely resisted California's deadly and unconstitutional

sanctuary state laws you've gone through a lot too although it's becoming quite

popular what you're doing the law that forces the release of illegal immigrant

criminals drug dealers gang members and violent predators into your communities

California's law provides safe harbor to some of the most vicious and violent

offenders on earth like ms-13 gang members putting innocent men women and

children at the mercy of these sadistic criminals but we're moving them out of

this country by the thousands ms-13 we're grabbing them by the thousands and

we're getting him out Kevin we're also joined by attorney general Jeff Sessions

Jeff thank you the Secretary of Homeland Security Kirsten Nielson secretary thank

you very much you know you folks are keeping busy right keeping busy at those

borders and deputy ice director Tom Holman who's going to be leaving us soon

for a life of retirement but there's no such thing as retirement

I know you'll always be in also with us as House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy

who has been a special friend of mine he represents California's 23rd

congressional district and he is very very popular and I just recently saw a

poll of Kevin I think the opposition might as well just go home because Kevin

they loved him out there and he's done an incredible job he's brought it home

and we appreciate it Kevin the great job you've done for the country thank you

very much unfortunately Congress and I have to say

congressional Democrats you take a look at what has been going on and what's

going on with the laws whether it's catch and release whether it's any of

any of the things that we're fighting for and so hard now we have started the

wall with spending 1.6 billion between fixing and starting you know Melissa

what's been going on we're getting it up we have a lot of folks in California

they don't talk about it but they want the wall up and they're very happy

that's one of the reasons we started in California but we made a lot of progress

on it and now we're going for the full funding for the wall and we're going to

try and get that as soon as possible but it's become a very popular issue in

January the Los Angeles Police Department arrested an illegal immigrant

from Mexico for drug possession instead of honoring the ice detainer they set

him free just a few weeks later he was arrested again this time for murder so

they arrested him they had him they let him go Tom you've seen this they let him

go and he killed somebody and it's happening more and more and we get him

out as fast as we can we have the worst laws anywhere in the world for illegal

immigration there's no place in the world that has laws like we do catch and

release think of it we catch somebody we find out they're criminals we end up

having to release them and they go into our society now we do the best

we can I'll tell you we do better than anybody and our numbers are much better

than in the past but they're not nearly acceptable and not nearly as good as

what we could have we're down 40 percent from those other standards so that's

really good meaning 40 percent crossings so that's good but we can do we can do

much better part of the problem that we have is our economy is so strong that

people are pouring up to get into our economy they want a piece of our economy

and that makes the job even tougher but we want to keep we want people based on

merit we want people to come into our country based on merit we're not looking

to keep them out we're looking to bring them in we need them we have companies

moving back into the United States like never before

Chrysler's opening up now in Michigan we have so many companies actually coming

from Mexico even and coming back in so we want people coming in based on merit

we all remember the tragic case of Maryland ferris in California who was

murdered by an illegal immigrant who had been arrested six times prior to

breaking into Maryland's home raping her and savagely beating her to death with a

hammer and this is one example but there are many examples I've been saying it

for a long time we cannot let this butchery happen in America the State of

California's attempts to nullify federal law have sparked a rebellion by

patriotic citizens who want their families protected and their borders

secured they want border security they want protection that's what we're all

about we're about protection both from international and from frankly people

crossing a border illegally I will now go around the room and ask these

incredible mayors and officials to discuss their brave stand on behalf of

their constituents they are very popular they are very well respected these are

the top people and there are people that other people

listen to and they listen to him from around the country so I'll begin by

asking California Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez said you have been an

inspiration to a lot of people in law so maybe you could say a few words and

we'll go right around the room okay Thank You mr. president like you I just

want to start off by saying on behalf of everyone here thank you for inviting us

there are more people in California I think than you know who supports what

you're doing who believe in your agenda and securing our borders everywhere in

between from San Francisco to Los Angeles you have millions of people who

want to see that our borders are secure and then our neighborhoods are safe so

we want to thank you for what you're doing I have been in office in

California for five years now and it's interesting to me that you've

been office for a year 17 17 months so 17 years would be nice

but you have invited us here to talk about this issue I've been in office in

California for five years not once as Governor Brown invited any Republican to

discuss this issue in California it is a crisis that's the point we're at in

California it's a crisis so for for me and my constituents and those are

Democrats and Republicans and independents alike because I get emails

from all of them they don't want to see another heat styling that's what I hear

every single week they don't want to see another Kate Steinle

so when my husband and I talk about this issue we have 37 years of service

between the two of us we both served in the Navy that's where we met

we know a lot about what it takes to protect our way of life what it means to

protect other people but we want to make sure that that our

citizens are protected and I think the resistance that started in the Democrat

Party this is your Republican resistance right here that's what they're doing in

Cal and Riyadh Republican I mean this has really become a Democrat issue a

Republican issue I think a lot of the Democrat politicians don't understand

what's going on because it's actually good politically people want safety

thank you very much I appreciate it Sam Thank You mr. president I am a proud

immigrant here from Lebanon thirty years ago I came here to live the American

dream and we did well Jerry Brown wants to take this American dream from us I

see myself he's gonna run for president I said please run but now I think he's

gonna be retired from what I understand pretty soon I see myself fighting for

this values that made our country great mr. president we are aligned with your

goals here's the success story of his cândido when I was elected mayor in 2010

I made the agreement with us we brought a pie station to his kanuda or police

station since then we deported over 2,700 illegal criminal criminals from

our city and made Escondido as safe as it was in 1980 this is a great success

story and our cooperation with ice and the San Diego advise is a very

compelling model for the nation to follow in our city more immigrant people

report crime and this narrative that sanctuary city will allow more immigrant

to report crime is fake news mr. president sir

we are we are going California is going down the drain it's gonna be sorry you

know congressman McCarthy but California is is is the least business friendly is

the poorest city in the nation the highest poverty rate the highest taxes

you name it instead of fixing the Golden State and making it the American dream

for everyone they are dealing with illegal criminals when Jerry Brown cares

more about illegal criminals that he cares about the Hispanic community and

the American citizens this is insanity and this is unconstitutional when I

sworn to be a citizen and again as mayor I just want to defend the Constitution

and to keep my community safe this is personal to me I'm gonna work hard to

make sure our communities safe Escondido is a great example of our success as a

result of making Escondido safe we brought two billion dollars in

investment to our city and we outperform San Diego County in economic growth I am

passionate about it when I go back to California I'm gonna start a PAC and

we're going to fight the fight we want to make sure if the Supreme Court does

not repeal the sanctuary state we're gonna make sure the grass root team like

you see today we will repeal that we are with you we need to build that wall we

need to end the sanctuary state we had 11 sanctuary cities not too long ago now

we have five hundred and sixty ten thousand illegal criminals have been

released under the sanctuary now it's reversing same and it really got bad and

now it's reversing it's a big change of heart of mine people don't want

sanctuary cities they're dangerous they don't want them anymore so thank you

source of the people support us mr. president 65% of the Hispanics

for us deliberate the Democrats everybody is supporting our in my city

ninety percent are with us thank you and I'll tell you what I had a lot more

support in the state of California than people understand check the voting

records folks can I speak frankly yes I'm sitting here in this room in awe of

God's power how he can take someone who was homeless in a tent make them the

mayor in the city and bring them before the President of the United States of

America who wants to hear the cry of our people and that's what's going on our

people are the ones hurting Sacramento is angry because they lost an election

for God's sakes get over there angry and you know what network more angry they're

releasing these criminals not by their houses they're not releasing by their

houses they're releasing them by our houses our children are at risk my

community is my family you're putting my family at risk every day we're getting

more and more reports from the police department about how they can't arrest

these people they arrest him everything's a misdemeanor because it's

not near jerry brown's house it's not near the elected officials house it's in

our communities and we're tired of it we need help mr. president we need help

protecting the city of san jacinto Escondido the state of California all of

us need help getting this solved I was just at a church the other day I was at

my church and I went over to another one a Hispanic church and all the people

from the Hispanic church were out there and they all came up to me and you just

feminists or tell mr. Trump that we have a message for him we want help you

every one of us came from somewhere else we all came from different countries my

husband is is from Mexico my family came way back from before the Revolutionary

War and we've been fighting for this country ever since fighting for the

constitutional rights of our country I'm not gonna stop fighting for those

rightfully look it's coming back and it's coming back fast faster than even

the people in this room understand Kevin understands what's happening you see it

maybe better than anybody but it's coming back people are tired of this

nonsense and it's happening so don't give up the fight don't give up Thank

You mr. president john d augustine ii i'm elected sheriff of El Dorado County

California and the bottom line from sheriffs and you hear from my peers as

well is we just want to do our jobs we want to do what the people elected us to

do that is respect our Constitution and keep our communities safe when this bill

was being heard in legislature legislature and it was going through we

have been California what we called ledge days where the State sheriffs go

and meet with the legislators moving these bills through and what literally

disgusted me was a common term that we heard throughout the discussion of SB 54

from different legislators and the quote was we know this is bad policy but it's

great politics that's wrong because this is built absolutely jeopardizes Public

Safety in our communities we're not immigration officers we never have been

and we're never gonna be we just want to be able to cooperate with our federal

partners so that these folks that end up in our custody and need to be deported

to get deported it's not politics anymore you know if

you look at what's going on because I think maybe more than any place else

right now there's a revolution going on in California they want safety you know

you had the mayor of Oakland that I read where you had a thousand people Tom you

know this because it was your deal in a thousand people together many of these

were illegals they were criminals they were all sorts of whose work and she

informed them and they all fled or most of them fled and that whole operation

that took a long time to put together I mean you talk about obstruction of

justice I would recommend that you look into obstruction of justice for the

mayor of Oakland California Jeff she advises thousand people they told get

out of here the law enforcement coming and you worked on that long and hard and

you got there and there were very few people there to me that's obstruction of

justice and perhaps the Department of Justice can look into that with respect

to the mayor because it's a big deal out there and a lot of people are very angry

about what happened there's a lot of hard work and a lot of danger involved

and that was a terrible thing yes ma'am

as the mayor April 24th we took a formal position and adopted a resolution

opposing SB 54 it was based on our constitutional duty to serve I think

everyone in this room that is elected knows that Public Safety is their number

one priority but we can't say that we are Public Safety driven and also turn

our a blind eye to what is happening there it was courage and maybe a little

risk we were not risk averse to step out as one of the first cities to take a

position I think I'm more proud of the fact that we were just listening to what

our community wanted and they don't want it they clearly don't want to have an

overreach of their rights and that's what really this stands for so as far as

the city of Lake Elsinore I think that this is a siloed approach I think SB 54

is a very is a great representation and I think maybe some have forgotten maybe

especially Sacramento about a siloed approach right before 9/11 and some of

the things that we really can look back in history and see it's going to take a

multi-agency approach it's gonna take coalition a revolution whatever you want

to call it but I'm completely impressed with the room and and what works what we

stand for this isn't a fight this is this is a battle this is a war and I

know that we have a lot of work to do this is just the beginning

secretary Nielsen thanks thank you for your leadership shirt sir and bringing

us all together but and also recognizing what a very important issue this is and

this week as many of you know me celebrate police week and we celebrate

law enforcement everyone in this room is an enforcer of the law and I thank you

for that and I thank you for your leadership

the states are turning their back on the US Constitution in their communities you

are standing up and we greatly greatly appreciate your partnership I know dr.

Holman will give us more details on the dangers of sanctuary cities which you're

living as do our officers and hopes to work at ice and other parts of the

federal family but I just want to hear from you and just thank you thank you

for your partnership and for standing up for your communities thank you I know

what you going through right now with families is very tough but those are the

bad laws that the Democrats gave us we have to break up families the Democrats

gave us that law it's a horrible thing we have to break up families the

Democrats gave us that law and they don't want to do anything about it

they'll leave it like that because they don't want to make any

changes and now you're breaking up families because of the Democrats it's

terrible Rory Edgar loves Alamitos mirror it's an honor to be here you know

I just want to say thank you for inviting us also to the residence

earlier today you know it's a previous ex-navy guide and being able to be on

the City Council of a small city it's a people like you that are actually

bringing the people back to the people's house your house our house so we really

appreciate it you know going through I also want to say thank you to secretary

Neilson there's a gentleman and Arnie in our community Marcus Edo who is on the

local ice officer in charge of Orange County when we came out we were the

first city he came he called right away he started giving me that bright line

between where ice has problems with local law enforcement

secretary Nielsen thank you yeah and then Attorney General you know coming

out first has a price to pay and the ACLU is filed lawsuit against us you

know we would really appreciate any direct or indirect funding there any

sort of fiscal help that you can help provide us for you know things like

potentially putting some of your attorney general or Assistant Attorney a

journalist maybe it's a the base in our military town are helping us offset some

of the costs but we really appreciate everything that you're doing

we also filed amicus brief to kind of join we're going to plan on intersecting

you at the appeals court one of you guys will appeal and we think that will have

a more substantive amount to offer at that point you know we're with you a

hundred percent but we're not in paper so we'll join in with you if it's at all

possible we'd like to do that Pam thank you very much true

I served on San Juan Capistrano City Council for the last three years but

I've also served on the community engagement panel of the San Onofre

nuclear power plant which is they call it songs and they back in 2001 were

testifying before Congress that the terrorists were saying target the power

plants so the fact that we have this unsecured border is pretty low risk

because we know that terrorists are coming in but with respect to the power

plant that is number one that has the worst safety record in the nation and

one of the questions was a power plant yes and the terrorists are coming in

alongside exactly yeah well you can't get into that power plant with freely

you can just drive in and so I asked them actually during one of the meetings

I said so I'm you have a no-fly zone right with respect to the power plant he

said yes and I said so what would happen if an airplane flew in to that no-fly

zone would you shoot it down they said no and that was on the record and so I

just think that it's a Fukushima number one waiting to happen it's on an active

earthquake fault in a tsunami zone where they're storing this radiation which is

a hundred and twenty four times that of true Noble and improperly stored and

it's there's no security so I think that we check it out okay

doesn't sound too good we'll check it out thank you

Thank You mr. president you know sheriff's in California are now in an

untenable position when it comes to trying to figure out now we have state

law we have federal laws and here we are stuck in the middle sheriffs especially

because most of us run our county jails when there became a legal challenge to

the 48-hour holds for ice that was very frustrating for us so what I did is I

invited ice to put their officers in my Jail so they're able to do their work we

didn't have the staffing to be able to help to figure out who they wanted to

talk to who they didn't I said come on in work with our people to keep our

community safe two weeks later mr. president Kate

Steinle was murdered now I wasn't the only sheriff to do that sheriff

Youngblood did sheriff Christensen and it was perfect because we didn't have to

take our time with our staff to do to do anything ice was in there doing their

work in a safe controlled environment and then the initiative started

happening the trust Act the truth--the act and finally SB 54 the values act and

that is causing us all kind of terminal turmoil so here we are stuck in the

middle of trying to decide we have federal law we have state law and that's

my welcome to attorney General Sessions lawsuit because that will provide us

clarity that we need and direction that we need what do we do because here we

are and I appreciated mr. Holman and his the ice we had a great relationship we

still do but now ice is the only law enforcement agency that cannot use our

databases to find the bad guys they cannot come in and talk to people in our

jail unless they reach a certain threshold they can't do all kinds of

things that other law-enforcement agencies can

do and it's really put us in a very it's just a disgrace and we're suing on that

and we're working hard and I think it'll all come together

because people wanted to come together it's so ridiculous the concept that

we're even talking about it ridiculous they'll take care of it thank you be an

ms-13 gang member I know about if they don't we just special certain threshold

I cannot tell ice about we have people coming into the country of trying to

come and were stopping a lot of them but we're taking people out of the country

you wouldn't believe how bad these people are these aren't people these are

animals and we're taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that's

never happened before and because of the weak laws they come in fast we get them

we release them we get them again we bring them out it's crazy the dumbest

laws as I said before the dumbest laws on immigration in the world so we're

gonna take care of it we'll get it done I'm gonna ask that man right there

because damn can do it right now is the most important man in the room Kevin can

do it he's Kevin well first of all I want to thank all of you because most

people around the country do not realize how your hands are tied behind your back

the only thing you want to do is to have safe streets safe neighborhoods and

protect your communities and for California Legislature to go against the

Constitution one of the greatest strength of this nation we're fortunate

to be in this room is the rule of law they are breaking down society by

breaking down the rule of law that you have a known criminal that you can't

communicate with ice about we know how bad this is but from a one aspect we

should be excited because we have a new president that understands his problem

since he has taken office we have lowered the illegal crossings across

this border that stops gang members from coming across

he has started building the wall 1.6 billion and you know where that wall is

starting to be built in California he has pushed a number of bills through one

to try to stop sanctuary cities to reward those who uphold the Constitution

second to stop the ms-13 gang members you know what's interesting after you

moved that bill a governor of New York mr. Cuomo who thought that wasn't a

problem I saw him sign one similar just the

other day because he watched what was happening as well so collectively it was

City Council's and sheriffs city council not your full-time job but you listen to

your community you saw the problem that was going on so

things are improving and that's why I'm so thankful for this president to call

us together because collectively we'll be stronger

secretaries doing an amazing job I'll tell you the number of times we meet or

call and all hours of night trying to make sure she could protect it

terney general just talked to me last night around 10 o'clock and so from that

perspective we are in this together but we're in it for the Constitution we're

in it for the security and the safety of our streets and I thank you for leading

we want to thank you Kevin you have done you're suddenly going against the tide

but now the tide sort of with us because you see it in the room I mean a year ago

two years ago this would have been unthinkable to have you all in the room

talking the way we're talking but you're fed up with what's happening and Kevin

thank you very much you're doing really great station

thank you for your leadership in your office and on this issue

I'm delighted and privileged to be here and it is so wonderful to be here among

all of you as well because you're all on the front lines

and your own communities fighting this fight I have I was born and raised in

California and an attorney there for 24 years got my start in the law when three

strikes was was starting out in California and developed a real passion

for prosecution I've been I was the appointed District Attorney and I've

been the elected District Attorney now for four years and in the last four

years I have seen California become a disaster it's been tragic to watch my

state pass laws but basically have sent our communities into a very dangerous

place in lassen County we're a very small community but I'm pleased to say

when you're talking about voting that you have supporters in California Lassen

County voted overwhelmingly for you in California I believe we had the highest

margin in all in 58 counties in California you are loved in lassen

County and I believe that to a certain extent we are sort of a forgotten part

of California we are rural California and we do not stand for the policies in

Sacramento we have a horrible problem in our public

lands in our forests we've got illegals marijuana cart excuse

me drug cartels that have come up to grow

in our on our public lands and in our forests and they are decimating it they

are killing wildlife there is not a thing we can do we work with the

Department Department of Fish and Wildlife who file charges that do the

best that they can but these people are coming into our forests they're

endangering our citizens they are armed they're setting up camps and they're

growing mass amounts of marijuana on our public lands they are killing wildlife

they're diverting streams the damage that they're causing both to the economy

and to our public lands is going to be generational a large portion of these

people that are coming in to do this are illegal immigrants because of the

legalization of marijuana and California now we're seeing those same individuals

working with other criminal groups the Asian groups the Russian groups the

motorcycle groups all kinds of organized crime it's bringing into rural

California Divorce I believe the legalization made it worse

I've been appalled as a district attorney someone who sworn to uphold the

Constitution and the laws of the state that we have fallen so far in California

we also have other issues we are prosecuting an illegal immigrant right

now who has been deported several times and has had a violent criminal history

who hit and killed a 16 year old kid a boy in our community and fled the scene

so his case is pending right now after I brought this suit I was promptly

promptly served with a gag order to prevent me from talking about the case

it's been very frustrating also I have received correspondence and I know that

every DA's office in town for Nia has received correspondence from

the ACLU and their affiliate organizations pursue it to the Freedom

of Information Act in the California Public Information Act wanting to know

what policies we want to know we want to see what policies your office is

implementing what have you done to ensure compliance with SB 54 well the

response from my office was very simple we have nothing because this office will

stand for the rule of law Lassen County stands for the rule of law and we have

no policies to give you because we will not issue such policies from this desk

and from this office we stand with you we are delighted with the actions that

you have taken mr. sessions the people of Lassen County stand with you I stand

with you and we appreciate everything that you're

doing Thank You talese ed thank you very much Tom first of all mr. president I

want to thank you for having this meeting today this roundtable we

appreciate your leadership on this issue the secretary I appreciate your

leadership and how you support law enforcement and the rule of law and AG I

can't say enough good things for law enforcement you know I hear a

lot of things today about sanctuary cities and the wall it's I'm not the

smartest guy at this table by any means but sayings were cities they want to

take the Attorney General on to get their funding even though they violate

federal law to keep criminal aliens in they don't want a wall to keep them out

to me that's just backwards and I want to talk I just want spend a minute say

separating fact from fiction please I hope the American people can understand

the fight about sanctuary cities I appreciate that the American patriots in

this room that have joined this fight which is a good fight it's a right fight

the the intentional miss messaging of sanctuary cities what they do I hear I

hear they protect the immigrant communities and they don't it's a it's a

complete opposite when you release a criminal alien from a jail they're going

to go to the very communities in which they live Andrea fent

anybody can Google rescission rates over half reoffended first year again it's a

very immigrant communities in which they live so you're not protecting immigrant

community and put them at greater risk of crime and when you enforce an ice

agent where you can take someone the custody of somebody in the safety and

security of County I'll force it in the neighborhoods you put our officers at

risk you already put the public at risk and we're gonna find others who weren't

even on our radar so you put the tweet at greater risk of crime you put them at

greater risk of ice arrest and you put the heroes the law enforcement officers

at great risk this is National Police weekend said earlier and I want to talk

about the messaging the mist messaging from some of these groups and some of

these politicians about what ice does when you read that you know sanctuary

cities protect the immigrant communities but also you don't wanna be commandeered

we don't the ice age we have never asked anybody being isolated we don't want any

law force an option to be united station what we want is access to a county jail

to talk to somebody that we know is here illegally in violation of federal law

that committed yet another crime you can't tell ice to prioritize criminal

aliens and not give me access to the jail it just don't make sense and the

final point I wanted me in defense of the brave men and women

aboard patrol and ice I'm tired I'm sick and tired of the constant vilification

of these men and women who leave their home every day and strap a gun to their

hip leave the safety and security of their

families to defend this nation and to defend their neighborhoods well you have

a congressman standing from the ice office in New York City and Carlos Checa

stop comparing what we do to war crimes when you got a congressman who said

quote the the coward attacks of ice officers that they terrorize innocent

innocent immigrant communities ice does more to protect the immigrant community

than any politician ever ever has done we've rested several hundred thousand

credit removing from the streets for those people want to keep vilifying the

men and women who took a sworn oath who unfortunately laws enacted by you

Congress the next time you think about vilifying the men and women of ice I

want you to do what I did this this week I want you go to a national law

enforcement law once you walk that wall they read the names on that wall or 400

boerboel agents and ice officers whose heart stop beating defending this nation

it's a dishonor to these men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice to

vilify the men and women to carry badge of guns so think twice before you do it

as far as the hate that I take for defending the men and women of Isis

aboard a dramatic drop will stop the day my heart starts to be in a war meant and

even though I may be retiring soon this fight doesn't end with me I will stay

engaged and I will keep fighting for you sir so thank you very much president

and I respect them all but no present has done more than you for more security

and for law enforcement I think every law enforcement officer at this table

would agree with me that's very nice it's a great compliment believe me

because you have indeed worked for six and all six respected you greatly none

more than me thank you very much I just wish you could have said that to the

press but here's the good news you have such a beautiful full head of hair you

look at it I appreciate it that's really nice thank you very much

Elaine I mean Lane Jenna Wade Laird the city of Laguna Niguel

in Orange County California and so really appreciate the opportunity to let

you know what our residents are feeling but first I'd like to ask director

Holman please let the men and women of ice know

that they have our gratitude and our deep deep appreciation for what they do

but you know Laguna Niguel took a stance against SB 54 because that is the

greatest threat to the safety of all of California residents all of our

residents all of our communities and that includes our immigrant communities

the siloing or preventing law enforcement agencies from talking to

each other is a threat to our agents and to the communities and our country

learned a very tragic lesson on September 11th and that's what happens

when law enforcement does not communicate so isn't it ironic that in

an age of ink calls for increased transparency that the California

Legislature wants to prevent that so we think that all of our residents deserve

to live in a safe community and also mr. president there is an area where we need

your assistance with we will support you on preventing SB 54 and upholding what

ice does but in California we need your help with sober living homes Orange

County has become known as the rehab Riviera so HR 57:24 is just being

introduced and we would appreciate help with that because local control is being

attacked from Sacramento every single day and that is one other issue okay

thank you all right thank you Steve Miller would you like to say something

just what an honor it is to be able to work for a president who has the backs

of our law enforcement officers everything you're doing every day is

saving so many lives all across this country and it's just an endless honor

to be a part of it and even any in a small way so thank you sir

good afternoon mr. president it's an honor to be here on Kristin Gaspard

representing the largest County here today San Diego County I have three and

a half million constituents that I'm responsible for their public safety if

you look around this room near tiny but mighty team this is what Governor Brown

classifies as lowlife politicians well here we are you've heard about the

problems you've heard about the statistics and I could have thought of a

million things to say to you I have a stack of 3,000 emails in my office these

are the emails that have come in thank yous people supporting what we're doing

and I have a tiny little stack of less than 50 where people are very upset with

what we're doing inside was were all going Joey we're getting built right

they wanted it so badly San Diego they wanted it so badly and I said you know

if we build it we will lose a big constituency because there won't be

anybody saying we want the wall but we had to build it so I know they're very

happy about it story because sometimes humanizing the

issue is really important and they family reached out to me and I brought

with me one single photo on that plane since the stack of 3,000 emails was a

little difficult to carry but that photo was the last photo taken of 27 year old

Alexander Mason who was gunned down by an illegal

immigrant who had previously been deported now as his family picks up the

pieces of their lives that have been shattered his killer lives openly and

freely in 81 a motel now it's really interesting what's happening in in San

Diego with our borders because we've created a situation where Governor Brown

makes San Diego a great place to commit a crime because you have options you can

either be across the border in a matter of minutes and shielded by Mexico or you

have the option of simply staying putz shielded by governor Moonbeam so there

are options but there are real consequences for what's happening in my

part just broke talking to mr. Madison about his son and he described his son

dying like a filthy rat in a parking lot while this killer gets just live freely

in Mexico and being robbed as ever having the opportunity to have

grandchildren now he said something that stuck with me he said you know my son he

was a true patriot he was a wonderful human being an exemplary citizen

lost because of the problem at our border so this case in so many others

these are the faces this is what we're fighting for and we're all in because

we're gonna fight to protect our public safety and we are going to speak freely

about this issue until we can look back at our other children and guarantee

their safety in our community thank you for your advocacy thank you very much

and you find Mexico helps or does nothing for us Mexico does nothing for

us they do nothing for us Mexico talks but they do nothing for us especially at

the border certainly don't help us much on trade but especially at the border

they do nothing for us Jeff thank you very much present it's great to be with

you I want you to know the driving is made clear to all of us that we have to

do better we are going to do better in our department we were reviewing

everything we're doing we're gonna probably have twice as many prosecutions

I had a whole bunch of judges and do the things that we can to move this agenda

forward but I want to tell you in my opinion having been here and a lot of

battles over this issue this year Kevin I know you know talking about could be

the year this is the year that we have to move Congress I've always said

Congress will pass anything as long as it doesn't work if you come up with a

bill they will actually improve our sheriff's and our ice officers and moral

officers ability to do their job to deport people that have entered

illegally then they object that we seem to come up short this time let's don't

come up short we've got a leader he can articulate this message effectively and

if we all get behind our leader we'll get something done

ooh this this start thank you thank you very much mr. fred ray grande up deputy

with once County Sheriff's Department thanks so much for fighting through law

enforcement it's much appreciated you know for us as the mayor said the

biggest issue with SB 54 is not being able to communicate with law enforcement

partners we need to be able to talk in since 9/11 we have done a great job of

opening up the communication at the local state and federal level in

addressing our shared threats and in communicating with ice we were able to

address shared the shared threat of getting criminal offenders off our

streets we have a 287g program in Orange County where we are able to screen all

our inmates and some of those people that we were able to identify where

people that weren't even yet on Isis radar because they were just new to the

country and so we were able to put them on ours Isis radar and get them out of

here one of them that stands out was back in October 2016 a 21 year old that

was in jail on child molestation charges we screamed that person and we were able

to alert ice and now that person is serving timing will be out of the

country but that goes away with SB 54 and we are not able to talk and that is

not a good thing we need to address those shared threats so we will reap

these these bad policies that have been sown but lawsuit and what your

administration is doing to fight that is a huge help so keep it up thank you so

thank you very much appreciated I Julie eckworth McIntyre City Barstow

we we set our we have the longest coldest act the National Training Center

is 27 miles from the city of Barstow when we joined the amicus brief it was

we recognized that myself and Mark from my council members ways that federal law

grains over immigration not the state what is happening in listening around

this table of what's happening in other communities I haven't had anything

personal from the ice of illegal immigrations yet but I know it's coming

because we can't enforce anything crime rate is up in California and it's going

to continue to rise as long as these policies are blanket across California

and they don't they're not talking to the small communities we talk to our

citizens every day they're free we have the crime rate in the nation is way down

but in California it's up because of the ridiculous laws and and I just

appreciate mr. president for you here listening to our concerns listening to

it's gonna take all of us and I think we're ready to make the fight to

California to say enough is enough we're done we the blanketed policies

across to California aren't working so we need help

glad that you're making this fight known we appreciate everyone in your staff in

your administration helping and pushing through to make sure that our

communities are safe thank you very much appreciated Thank

You mr. president I'm working samoto from the tiny

tenant will sell me notes and we were first and we were boldest we've done

something that no other city has done we've actually passed an ordinance and

exposed our city to lawsuit as mayor edgar said and you know in this

experience um there's a silent majority of Patriots out there I'm sorry I

brought it up yeah they want this they want us to do

what we're doing and then anyone with common sense knows this California

values Act was put in place to protect those that are here breaking the law and

message I got from this whole experiences the citizens of our state in

our city feel like they have less rights than the entitled illegal aliens and the

entitled attitude is the thing that really just makes me really unhappy

they've built their title something that that we don't even get so please sir we

need your help we appreciate your leadership and about all you gave us

great leadership - thank you sir don't kid you sir but you did a great job but

the state you know the doublespeak from the politicians of Asus in California

the commandeering they commandeered our police force by you know tying their

hands and so that's the doublespeak that comes out of the bullies there we just

plucked the bully and I think being the lowlifes that we are we're closest to

the people we know what the people want and we've gone forward with that boldly

and you know I passed in other cities to step up and do at least consider the

matter listen to their constituents and they'll know what they're what they're

supposed thank you sir they're having lunch great

job thank you

Michelle steel from Orange County thank you very much for inviting us and I just

want to say as a Korean American first generation korean-american went to legal

process to coming in here I really appreciate for the release of Americans

at the same time that you know for SB 54 that because of city of Los Alamitos

they have eleven thousand seven hundred people living there and they have a

constant world and they're counting that as of now that nine counties of 58

California that they passed the ordinance a tip has the ordinances or

with resolutions to go anti a sanctuary state so and then more than 35 cities as

of now this is really interesting experience because I was never called a

married to you know Kevin knows my husband Sean still who is a national

committeeman from California this is the first time that I thought I

was called because I was going out for anti sanctuary state of racist

pigby I mean you know on on the email that you get this and I said oh my god

first generation how desperate that the undersigned are that you know it's been

called but I am very very excited that in Orange County Act if I the lawsuit to

join other in general most so June there that Court is going to decide we can

join them I joined the federal government or not if it's not then we

gotta find an Austin so we didn't work together in Orange County

most of cities said you know we came from Laguna Niguel and someone

capistrano Orange counties all with you and you know what people that I got all

these emails mostly positive and then actually Berkeley study came out for 57%

are against us so poor sanctuary state and forty one person against centuries

day I don't think that point will be right because whatever we get we got all

mostly positive ones except that person right yeah

you have done a great job I appreciate fantastic job

sure well mr. president thank you for having us and first of all thank you for

being a defender of the rule of law and for your overwhelming support of Public

Safety and standing with the men and women who put their lives on the line

every day that's just tremendous you know the

great part about being last is there's not much else to say

so I won't in the interest of time and out of respect of your time

I'll only add one point and and I know this is something that we've had

conversations with director Holman and attorney general sessions and that's the

detainer issue for the sheriff's that's a real problem for us the federal court

has said that honoring detainers is a violation of the Fourth Amendment that

puts us in a very precarious position from a point as a liability standpoint

and we really need to be able to do our jobs without all of the interference

that's going on and certainly I'm going to reaffirm director Homans comments we

have an outstanding relationship with ice we work very closely with them since

9/11 sir we have a an unbelievable partnership with our federal law

enforcement agencies and there shouldn't be anybody interfering with a sheriff's

ability the Chiefs ability or anybody in this

room at this table today from defending people against those who

exploit and victimize them there should be no interference in our ability to

protect our communities to protect our national security I'm privileged to live

in the Central Valley where agriculture is the number one economic industry

multi-billion dollar industry we feed the world ice is not out sweeping

through those agricultural communities we're looking for the people the

criminals not the people who are working seeking a better life in America sent

their kids to school are out everyday in agriculture whether that's nuts fruit

poultry dairy you name it that's not what we're doing sir we're focused on

those individuals who victimize and exploit the weak and defenseless and we

should be able to do that without interference thank you for

having to Adam I want to thank everybody for being here very special people and

we are step by step we're bringing it back and we will bring it back we will

not fail we'll bring it back so thank you very much thank you very much

ABC Execs Demand Roseanne Stop Talking About Trump - Duration: 10:54.

ABC Execs Demand Roseanne Stop Talking About Trump, Her Response Sent SHOCKWAVES Through

Studio!

American TV fans were ecstatic when they found out Roseanne would return to regular programming

with a new season.

Her show was well received, gathering millions of viewers, and hitting hard on political

humor while hammering home a few good points in each episode.

It didn't take that long for ABC to come after Roseanne Barr and give her a scathing

message about her pro-Trump character.

However, the president of ABC, Channing Dungey, didn't expect to hear the response Roseanne

had for him after he demanded that she slow her roll on the political commentary and pro-Trump

agenda.

Dungey seems to want Roseanne to stop with the political aspect and resort to strictly

comedy – even though political humor is extremely funny and worked very well for her

show up until now.

Dungey wants the show to lean away from politics for now on.

Conservative fans might not like that as much because the millions of fans who were happily

watching the show could see their new show faced with a forced agenda to change Roseanne's

show.

John Goodman would likely agree that he and Roseanne need to continue doing what worked

best to get excellent viewership in the millions.

Don't let ABC get you down.

Roseanne shocked them with a stunning reply that put her fans at ease when she posted

this on Twitter.

Fox News provided more details on the demand from ABC: "ABC entertainment president Channing

Dungey put the kibosh on "Roseanne" remaining political in the second season – apparently

ditching the strategy the network touted only two months ago.

Dungey said that the show will lean away from politics next season during a conference call

with reporters as part of the network's upfront presentation.

Upon learning the news, conservative media icon Matt Drudge tweeted, "Corporate cannibals

stripping Roseanne of her fun."

The return of "Roseanne" featured a debut episode in which characters argued about the

2016 election, with the show's namesake representing the conservative viewpoint.

As the season concluded, politics appeared less frequently on the sitcom.

"I think that they're going to stay on the path that they were on toward the end

of last season, which is away from politics and toward family," Dungey said during the

network's upfront presentation after the call, according to TheWrap.

The site added that Dungey said ABC's goal is to be "as diverse and as inclusive as

possible … across all metrics."

"I think that one of the things that was fresh for us with 'Roseanne' on the air

is that it is focusing (on) a family that is in a different economic status than some

of the other family comedies that are on the air," Dungey reportedly said.

The show, starring Roseanne Barr the pro-Trump title character, drew plenty of eyeballs when

it premiered on March 27, shocking the industry with over 27 million viewers in Live+7 in

delayed ratings.

Shortly afterwards, ABC President Ben Sherwood eagerly rolled himself out to The New York

Times after the successful return.

At the time, Sherwood claimed that ABC executives had a meeting the morning after the 2016 election

about how they could better reach Middle America.

"We looked at each other and said, 'There's a lot about this country we need to learn

a lot more about, here on the coasts,'" Sherwood told the Times in a feature headline,

"'Roseanne' Reboot Sprang From ABC's Heartland Strategy After Trump's Victory."

An ABC spokesperson said the network is "definitely not" ditching the heartland strategy when

reached by Fox News."

ABC might want to remember that Roseanne's show brought millions of viewers to their

network and likely increased their ratings on the days that her show aired.

Her statistics to open the series this year was stunning, but slowed slightly, although

it seemed like her show continued to perform as her fans became loyal viewers as her season

went on.

The next season might have the hands of the ABC president grappling their show like a

wrestling move, but Roseanne wants her fans to know that she's not backing down and

she will continue to provide as best of a show as possible.

Do you think Roseanne will continue with her political jabs and humor or will she be forced

to dial back towards a strictly family based show?

What's wrong with having a little bit of political humor if the ratings continue to

do well?

Should Roseanne demand control of her show as long as the ratings are up?
