Trump news on Youtube Dec 1 2018

It looks as though the planned summit between President Trump and President Putin may be

cancelled.

Helga, this was obviously the intention of this Ukrainian provocation in the Sea of Azov.

What do you know?

How has this thing unfolded?

And it's clear that the target was to prevent this summit from taking place.

Well, I think it has all kinds of features, but we always knew that one of the danger

points of a possible war was on the one side, Syria, and

on the other side, the situation between Ukraine and Russia.

And while I tend to agree with Gen. Harald Kujat, who in a Phoenix interview basically

said there needs to be a full investigation of what actually happened before one takes

sides.

Nevertheless, the whole {cui bono} and the whole situation is that Poroshenko has been

trying to provoke things already for almost the whole year.

There was an incident, where in March, the Ukrainians basically captured a Russian fishing

boat, and now the coup: And people know what happened, that Ukrainian warships approached

the Strait of Kerch from the side of the Black Sea in

the direction of the Sea of Azov, but without announcing themselves, which is the rules.

And now, the sailors, they actually captured and interrogated; written instructions were

found on them, saying they should absolutely proceed in secrecy and not make their approach

known.

So it really looks like an absolute staged provocation, and that is exactly what Foreign

Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, what Foreign Minister Lavrov said.

Actually, I think the Lavrov statement was the most interesting, because he said that

this is planned provocation conducted by the same forces who want to destroy the Trump

Presidency altogether.

And I think that that is absolutely on the mark.

If you look at such outfits like the Atlantic Council and the entire neo-con, trans-Atlantic

network.

Now, this is obviously not the end of the story.

And how insane this whole thing is, you can see by the fact that the General Secretary

of NATO, Stoltenberg, basically immediately said that NATO is without any question fully

on the side of Ukraine.

And with a delay of two or three days, Putin actually made a statement yesterday, where

he said that the biggest problem in this crisis is that the other nations all the time take

the side of Ukraine, and that that encourages the Ukrainian government actually to go further

and further in their provocation.

And then Putin, in a sort of ironic fashion, said, if they would propose to eat babies

for breakfast, the West would absolutely go along with it.

And this is indeed the danger, that you have such war-mongers, like the Atlantic Council,

but also the British new General Chief of Staff, Carleton-Smith, who basically said

that Russia is a bigger problem than ISIS or al-Qaeda, not in the context of the Ukraine

crisis, he said that, but in general; and naturally, such outfits as the "Integrity

Initiative" which we should talk about in a second.

Fortunately, it is obviously clear to many governments in Europe otherwise, that this

has the potential of going completely out of control, so most of them said there should

be a de-escalation, appealing to both Russia and Ukraine.

And one can be sure that this will be a hot issue at the G20 meeting in Buenos Aires.

But this is an extremely, extremely dangerous situation.

Poroshenko, as most people by now know, declared martial law.

He wanted it for 60 days, but because of the opposition, including from Mrs. Timoshenko,

he could only get 30 days.

But our friend, Natalia Vitrenko, made a webcast where she said that the danger is that Poroshenko

plans to have a dictatorship, and if you have 30 days, after 30 days you can announce another

30 days, because that has been the previous pattern in Ukraine.

So I think we are really at an extremely dangerous point, because if NATO would indeed sent flotillas

into the Black Sea, or even the Sea of Azov, as it has been demanded by one of the leading

representatives of this Integrity Initiative, Edward Lucas, who said that NATO should send

entire flotillas into the Sea of Azov, and others demanding heavy, lethal weapons to

be supplied to Ukraine -- I mean, this is the stuff out of which World War III could

easily be triggered.

I can only say, if the summit between Putin and Trump does not take place -- the latest

was that Peskov at some point today said they would briefly greet each other and then maybe

meet for one hour on Saturday; now, one hour, given that it was mentioned all the subjects

which were supposed to be discussed, the INF Treaty, Ukraine, Syria, terrorism, and many

other issues -- obviously one hour is absolutely not enough.

But Trump said he hopes to have a meaningful summit in Washington, soon.

I think that is good, but I can only say, be on absolutely super-high alert, because

this is a very, very dangerous escalation.

Trump denied his business with Russia for years - Duration: 2:27.

I was running my business while I was campaigning. There was a good chance that

I wouldn't have won, in which case I would have gone back into the business

and why should I lose lots of opportunities.

What do I have to do with Russia?

Other than normal stuff -- I buy a house, if I sell it to a Russian -- I have nothing to

do with Russia.

I know nothing about Russia. I know about Russia, but I

know nothing about the inner workings of Russia. I don't deal there, I have no

businesses there, I have no loans from Russia.

She always likes to tie me in with Russia. I have nothing to do with Russia, folks, okay.

I heard her saying about Donald Trump and Russia. First of all, I don't know

Putin, have no business whatsoever with Russia, have nothing to do with Russia.

I have no dealings with Russia, I have no deals in Russia,

I have no deals that could happen in Russia because we've stayed away.

and I can tell you speaking for myself I own nothing in Russia, I have no loans in Russia, I don't have

any deals in Russia. I have nothing to do with Russia. I told you I have no deals there.

I have had dealings over the years where I sold a house to a very wealthy Russian many years ago. I had the

Miss Universe pageant, which I owned for quite a while; I had it in Moscow a long

time ago. But other than that I have nothing to do with Russia.

I have nothing to do with Russia. I never did. It's a big fat hoax.

'Cause I have nothing to do with the Russia.

We had a position to possibly do a deal to build a building of some kind in Moscow.

I decided not to do it. The primary reason that could have been

other reasons but the primary reason it was very simple

I was focused on running for president.

There would be nothing wrong if I did do it.

I was running my business, a lot of different things during the campaign

So very simply, Michael Cohen is lying.

PRESIDENT TRUMP INFURIATES DEMS WITH MASSIVE IMMIGRATION ANNOUNCEMENT - Duration: 14:14.

PRESIDENT TRUMP INFURIATES DEMS WITH MASSIVE IMMIGRATION ANNOUNCEMENT

The caravan didn't think Donald would dare – now they've had a change of heart.

The migrant caravans that marched to the U.S. border were lied to.

Liberal activists told them they could just waltz into the United States—in flagrant

violation of our immigration laws.

Democrats were hoping the sheer numbers of asylum-seekers—coupled with a sympathetic

press—would pressure the Trump administration to let them in.

They didn't care about our laws or the impact thousands of border-jumpers would have on

our communities.

Or the millions more than were sure to follow.

Trump wasn't lying when he said he would not let them march into the country.

When many tried to storm the border, attacking Border Patrol officers, they used tear gas

to stop them.

He actually stopped them at the border, and he would not allow asylum seekers to wait

in America for their court date.

Now, after Trump's double-whammy, hundreds in the caravan are finally waking up to reality

in what could be the beginning of the end.

From The Daily Beast:

After fleeing tear gas shot at the U.S. border, Carlos González confessed confusion and second

thoughts about the caravan that carried him to doorstep of his dream: life in the United

States…

"I thought it would be easy," said González, who traveled north with his wife and two children,

ages 4 and 3.

He said his family was planning to sign up with Mexican officials for voluntary repatriation…

Corrales, wearing a yellow soccer jersey, expressed few complaints with the camp, where

he sold single cigarettes to fellow migrants.

He thought the caravan's experience crossing into Guatemala and Mexico would prove the

template for the U.S. border.

But now, "I'm done with the United States.

I'll stay here."

SHARE to thank President Trump for stopping the caravan from crossing our border!

The Daily Beast's coverage of the crisis is sickening.

Like the rest of the left, they paint the thousands of migrants—who want to jump our

border against our laws—as victims.

But the truth is much different.

These people were told they could get in easily.

Just lie to Immigration and get a pass.

That was the Democrats' plan to shove thousands of strangers into the U.S.

With waves of caravans to follow.

The reality is, we have immigration laws that must be followed.

Same as any country.

Nobody has the right to demand entry into the U.S. or any other nation.

Why can't liberals understand this?

They wasted the time of thousands of South Americans—endangering their lives—by sending

them to the border.

Only now are they learning, the hard way, that laws must be followed.

In the coming days and weeks, more migrants will give up.

Hopefully, they will go back to their home countries.

Perhaps consider entering the U.S. legally.

Trump signs trade pact with Canada and Mexico to replace Nafta US news - Duration: 3:20.

Trump signs trade pact with Canada and Mexico to replace Nafta US news

Each country's legislature must also approve the agreement but Democrats in the US are already demanding changes

Each country's legislature must also approve the agreement but Democrats in the US are already demanding changes

Donald Trump and the leaders of Canada and Mexico signed a revised North American trade pact, a deal that fulfills a key political pledge by the US president but faces an uncertain future in the US Congress.

The celebratory moment was dimmed by ongoing differences over Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs, as well as plans for massive layoffs in the US and Canada by General Motors.

The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is meant to replace the 24-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta), which Trump has long denigrated as a "disaster".

But while Trump has hailed the new agreement as a radical rewrite of the "worst trade deal ever made", Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau pointedly referred to the deal as the "new North American Free Trade Agreement".

Trump appeared with Trudeau and outgoing Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires for the formal signing ceremony. Each country's legislature must also approve the agreement.

"It's been long and hard. We've taken a lot of barbs and a little abuse and we got there," Trump said of the pact. "It's great for all our countries."

Legislative approval is the next step in the process, but could prove to be a difficult task in the US, especially now that Democrats – instead of Trump's Republicans – will control the House of Representatives come January. Democrats and their allies in the labor movement are already demanding changes to the agreement.

Within hours of the signing, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said the deal must have stronger labor and environmental protections in order to get majority support in Congress and "must prove to be a net benefit to middle-class families and working people".

The three countries agreed to the USMCA just hours before a US-imposed 30 September deadline. Many trade analysts say the successor to Nafta isn't all that different from the old one, despite Trump's claim that it would "transform North America back into a manufacturing powerhouse".

While Trump hailed the revised trade pact, Trudeau was more measured and used the event to call on Trump to remove steel and aluminum tariffs the US slapped on Canada and Mexico. Trudeau also referenced recent downsizing moves by GM in North America as a "heavy blow".

"With hard work, good will and determination, I'm confident that we will get there," Trudeau said.

Peña Nieto, who will hand off to his successor Saturday, said he was honored to be at the signing on the final day of his administration, calling it the culmination of a long process "that allow us to overcome differences and to conciliate our visions".

The new agreement requires that 40% of cars eventually be made in countries that pay autoworkers at least $16 an hour – that is, the US and Canada and not Mexico – to qualify for duty-free treatment under the trade pact. It also requires Mexico to pursue reforms of labor law to encourage independent unions.

Trump's dangerous misunderstanding of tariffs - Duration: 3:23.

So we've placed massive tariffs on China, and the tariffs have really had a positive impact.

By the way, without tariffs, we wouldn't be talking about a deal.

Just for those babies out there that keep talking about tariffs.

Without tariffs, we would never be able to make great deals that I'm making.

Most economists are gonna tell you that the tariffs will have a negative effect on U.S. output

and they're going to be especially harmful to certain industries.

I think Trump, the administration, they're out there alone saying that this is a positive thing

and that's going to help the US economy.

Last month alone, we added more than one thousand manufacturing jobs.

And thanks to our beautifully placed tariffs

and very tough trade policies,

America's steel and aluminum mills are roaring back to life like nobody has ever seen.

It is true that to the extent that you erect trade barriers that protect certain industries,

those industries will benefit.

But those industries are benefiting at the expense of other Americans.

So it's taking from one American and giving to another.

It's not, as Trump thinks, taking from the Chinese and giving to America.

General motors today says it will close five North American plants next year.

Not only suffering slower sales in North America

but also China has been an issue as well, especially with the tariffs.

Today General Motors press release said trade costs are among 'headwinds' General Motors is facing.

From Ford's perspective, the metals tariffs took about a billion dollars profit from us.

This trade dispute is now going to cost Harley Davidson between 90 and 100 million dollars this year.

And as a result, it is going to move some of that production outside of the United States.

But we are going to be opening up China,

and in order to get them there I have to do tariffs,

and tariffs have really been great, because they are -- they want to talk.

If it were a negotiating tool maybe these tariffs wouldn't exist yet, it would just be a threat, right?

But these tariffs actually exist so they're having negative impacts on the economy.

It's not a theoretical thing, it's not a negotiation anymore, it's actually a tax that's been enacted.

So we should treat it that way.

They don't want those tariffs. They'll sign anything but tariffs please.

Don't do that to me President Trump.

We don't want tariffs!

Taking care of our people, we're taking care of our people!

AFTER RAT LAWYER BETRAYS TRUMP, DONALD UNLEASHES THE HAMMER OF JUSTICE - Duration: 12:39.

AFTER RAT LAWYER BETRAYS TRUMP, DONALD UNLEASHES THE HAMMER OF JUSTICE

Cohen flipped on his old boss, but he didn't see 'The Donald' coming.

Looks like Michael Cohen is shaping up to be the worst lawyer in history.

After trying to throw Donald Trump under the bus earlier in the year, he's at it again.

The liberal media is on a roll today, excited over Cohen's recent claims.

According to reports, he pled guilty to lying to Congress over a statement he made.

This process crime has been twisted to suggest Trump was working with Russia over a business

deal in 2016.

The dishonest media is trumpeting the news like it's a smoking gun for impeachment.

But the president just dropped the hammer on his old lawyer and the lying press.

From Mediaite:

The Commander in Chief called Cohen a "weak person and not a very smart person" and

"what he's trying to do is get a reduced sentence."

It is not clear if Trump is claiming that Cohen lied to Congress in 2016, a charge to

which he has pleaded guilty, or is he claiming that Cohen is lying about the previous lying

to Congress.

At issue was the development of a Trump Tower hotel in Moscow, which Trump explained as

a "well-known project" that "everyone knew about."

Trump defended looking into the real estate development as a "deal that didn't happen"

but that if he "did do it, then there would have been nothing to it," as he was running

his business while running for president.

Again, the liberal, anti-Trump media is trying to stir up controversy where there is none.

They once claimed Trump colluded with Putin to steal the 2016 election.

There has never been evidence to prove this.

SHARE if you believe Trump is innocent!

Now, they are pointing to a failed development deal—a deal that never went through—as

evidence of electoral collusion?

They are just getting pathetic.

As the Mueller probe and the corrupt media go on and on over this, they continue to neglect

real crimes committed during the election.

Those include the antics of the Clinton campaign.

Trump was quick to call them out on it.

Did you ever see an investigation more in search of a crime?

At the same time Mueller and the Angry Democrats aren't even looking at the atrocious, and

perhaps subversive, crimes that were committed by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the Democrats.

A total disgrace!

When will this illegal Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt, one that has shattered so many

innocent lives, ever end-or will it just go on forever?

After wasting more than $40,000,000 (is that possible?), it has proven only one thing-there

was NO Collusion with Russia.

So Ridiculous!

That's just for starters.

Clinton committed a litany of suspicious actions during the election, including taking over

her own party a year before the nomination.

There is a long trail of evidence that she, not Trump, colluded with Russian agents to

craft a fake dossier.

That dossier was meant to smear Trump, destroying his chances at winning.

Yet where is her investigation?

Why isn't Mueller looking at the real evidence and the real crimes?

How much more evidence do we need to prove Mueller's probe

is

a witch hunt?

Is President Trump's Threat to Slap Tariffs on Apple's iPhone Serious? - Duration: 4:38.

Mac Greer: Let's move on to a Wall Street Journal interview where President Trump suggested

that the United States could slap 10% tariffs on iPhones and laptops imported from China. Ron, 10% tariff.

That sounds like a lot. What would that mean for Apple and Apple's business?

Ron Gross: First off, I don't think it will actually happen. I think it's a negotiating tactic.

A lot of bluster.

This is not a political show, so I'm going to let everyone decide for themselves what

they think about that bluster. But I do think it's a negotiating tactic.

It's ahead of the G20 meeting where there'll be further discussions with China about the

tariffs and about our trade war, for lack of a better term.

I don't think it's actually going to happen.

But if it did, certainly a company the size of Apple could weather that storm, and they

could do it by passing along price increases to consumers.

Although, I have a feeling they would not do that. They probably would eat it.

10% might translate, I've read some research, to about a $1 billion decrease in operating profit.

It wouldn't be permanent. It would be over a few quarters until things got worked out.

$1 billion in total.

If it was a 25% tariff, then of course, you're getting maybe triple that, $3 billion or so

in lost operating profit.

Again, a company the size of Apple could easily weather that storm.

It would certainly be a loss in their earnings per share, which impacts valuation.

But again, these are all short-term concerns.

If you believe in Apple as a company you want to own for the next 10-20 years,

you probably can just ignore it. Cross: Yeah, I agree with Ron.

A lot of bluster right now coming from the White House, especially ahead of the G20 meeting

this Friday and after the news with General Motors closing the plants, and the frustrations

that President Trump has with them, talking about them bringing jobs back and not selling

and manufacturing cars in China.

I think this is piggybacking on top of that, trying to show a little muscle ahead of meeting

with the G20 countries on Friday. Gross: You're hitting Apple a little bit while it's down.

The stock has come under a decent amount of pressure, as most of the FAANG stocks have.

Apple in particular is down 23% from late August, early September.

Now this kind of talk has people jumping on the bandwagon and selling Apple off even more.

Those are short-term investors, people who are more concerned about the stock going down

5-10% in the near term rather than wondering where Apple's going to be five years from now.

Again, for Foolish investors, for long-term investors, I would be more concerned about

whether Apple continues to be an innovative company, whether its ecosystem is going to

move forward, continue to generate profits.

Worry less about what's going to happen over the next two, three quarters.

Andy Cross: It's interesting to think about the pricing power Apple has.

They've been able to raise the average selling price of the iPhone dramatically over the

last five years. Now, some of the units are over $1,000.

Whether they will decide, if this happens, if they keep it and try to figure out ways

to offset that, or if they would actually try to pass that on to consumers.

And, would consumers be willing to pay a little bit higher?

We do know that iPhone sales have stagnated a little bit, and they've been able to make

their revenue growth up on the pricing side, not necessarily unit side.

Greer: I think I'm part of the problem. I have an iPhone 6s. I have no desire to get a new phone.

What I will do is, I'm going to get the battery replaced.

I've already had it replaced once, and now it's awful again.

But I don't need a new phone.

Each new iPhone, I know it's better and it takes better photos and all that, but the

difference is so incremental at this point.

Aren't there a lot of people like me who are like, "I'm good with my old phone.

I'm just going to change the battery."

Gross: I think there are a lot of people like you that have maybe the 8 or 8s.

With a 6s, you're a little bit… They're going to stop supporting that at some point.

Cross: I have a 7, and I thought I was a little bit behind.

But then, of course, I should always compare myself to Mac.

Greer: True story, I was the last guy at The Motley Fool with a BlackBerry.

One of our techies was like, "Can we quit supporting you?

Can you put that away?" Cross: Do you have your Palm Pilot, too?

Greer: I do not.

Moon, Trump agree next N. Korea-U.S. summit will create momentum for denuclearization - Duration: 2:18.

Now,... onto the South Korean leader's trip to the G20 Summit in Argentina.

President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump held talks Friday on the sidelines of

the summit.

North Korea dominated most of their discussion.

Shin Se-min has this story.

The leaders of South Korea and the United States in tune on North Korea.

Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump sat down on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in

Argentina on Friday for a frank discussion with just their translators in attendance.

They vowed to align their policies to ensure the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula

remains on track.

"President Trump, while affirming his commitment to hold a second North Korea-U.S. summit early

next year,... asked that South Korea and the U.S. maintain close cooperation so the summit

will be another historic milestone in the process of denuclearizing North Korea."

President Moon's chief press secretary explained that President Trump reaffirmed his pledge

to hold a second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un,... and noted that Kim's

planned reciprocal visit to Seoul may create new momentum in efforts to denuclearize Pyeongyang

and establish peace in the region.

Although the two did not go into details on when Kim might travel to the South,... it's

viewed that Kim's visit would help the ongoing push for peace.

The Blue House official said the question now is on whether the North Korean leader

sticks to his pledge.

On North Korea sanctions,...

Presidents Moon and Trump agreed that keeping the regime under already imposed sanctions

is necessary until the Korean Peninsula is completely denuclearized.

While the two allies share the goal of complete denuclearization,... their approach on how

to achieve it isn't in lockstep.

Seoul has been pushing to improve ties with Pyeongyang through economic engagement,...

while Washington has been pursuing a dual policy of pressure and dialogue which has

caused friction between the North and the U.S.

"The meeting between Presidents Moon and Trump was a chance to reopen the possibility of

Kim Jong-un visiting Seoul by the years' end-- in the hope that it could give the stalled

denuclearization process another push.

Trump sees "good signs" of reaching deal with China, ahead of his dinner with Xi - Duration: 1:31.

Hopes are rising that the United States and China might be able to resolve their deep

differences over trade.

Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping will meet in the next 24 hours or so for talks

that could potentially bring an end to their trade war.

Cha Sang-mi reports.

President Trump hinted he was positive about the prospect of reaching a ceasefire in his

administration's trade war with China when he has dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping

on Saturday evening, local time.

"There are some good signs.

We'll see what happens."

Speaking to reporters covering the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires on Friday,...

President Trump said officials from both countries have been laying the groundwork for a possible

deal.

"We've already spoken very hard.

If we could make a deal, that would be good.

I think we'd like to and we'll see.

But we'll be meeting with President Xi in a little while, and for the most part tomorrow

would be our big meeting."

This comes after U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Trump and Xi would agree on a "framework"

for further talks to resolve trade tensions.

Financial markets celebrated the potential outcome, with U.S. stocks jumping on Friday

and Chinese equities-trackers ETF and FXI performing much better than recent weeks.

Yet investors say a desirable "deal" for markets would be where all further tariffs are put

on hold and the two largest economies in the world sit down to negotiate an agreement.

Cha Sang-mi, Arirang News.
