Trump news on Youtube Sep 7 2018

On Wednesday, an explosive op-ed about President Donald Trump was published in

'The New York Times' and you had better believe the late-night hosts had plenty to say

on the subject. The piece was written by an anonymous senior Trump administration

official who claims to be part of the "resistance" to Trump but not from the left and said,

in part, "Many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve

our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump's more misguided impulses

until he is out of office." On CBS's 'Late Show' Stephen Colbert addressed the

mystery surrounding the author of the opinion piece, and took the opportunity to

poke fun at the revolving door of employees the White House has seen since

Trump stepped into office. Referring to the vague revelation that the writer was "a

senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and

whose job would be jeopardized by its disclosure," Colbert quipped:

Pondering just how many people there could be in the current administration who

believe in its policies and goals yet still think the president is a dangerous idiot,

Colbert came up with this simple equation.

Colbert's guest, former Secretary of State and onetime Democratic presidential

candidate John Kerry, also shared his thoughts on the 'Times' piece, saying that it

"scared the hell out of him," before offering some sobering words. "You know what

it really means, Stephen, is that we don't really have a president," Kerry said.

"We have a president who is there but he's not capable of doing the job or living up to

the responsibilities." Over on Comedy Central's 'Daily Show,' Trevor Noah expressed

shock at what the news could potentially mean. The host exclaimed, "Holy shit.

There's a secret group of people within the White House actively working to

curb President Trump, which is wild, because this means this whole time we've

been dealing with the watered-down version of Trump!"

Noah also said the op-ed and its author's admission that "it may be cold comfort in

this chaotic era, but Americans should know that there are adults in the room,"

did not make him feel any better. "Before this, I knew there was turbulence," Noah began.

He then concluded his comparison by joking about this potential solution to

the hypothetical scenario.

On ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' Kimmel joked that he had cracked the case of

the authors hidden identity.

The late night host also pointed out that some Internet users have picked up on the use

of the word "lodestar" in the piece. "That's not a common word, lodestar. Not a lot of

people use that word," Kimmel explained before offering video evidence of Vice

President Mike Pence using the word…..like, a lot.

"Wouldn't that be something if it was Mike Pence?" Kimmel asked. "This is gonna drive

Trump absolutely nuts. Can you imagine what it must be like to have a job at

which almost everyone who works for you thinks you're a complete idiot?"

On NBC's 'Late Night' Seth Meyers also addressed the op-ed piece, paying homage

to the best-selling board game "Clue."

Also on NBC, 'The Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon joked about the situation saying,

He then pulled out his best Trump impression to imagine how the Commander-in-Chief

might have reacted to the news of the op-ed being published.

Trump's actual reaction, came via his favorite social media platform on Wednesday night

with the president tweeting, "Does the so-called "Senior Administration Official" really

exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source?

If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must,

for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!"

On Thursday morning, POTUS took to Twitter once more to write, "The Deep State

and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy -

& they don't know what to do."

Trump thanks Kim Jong-un for his faith in him, says they'll work together to denuclearize - Duration: 2:01.

The latest coming from Pyeongyang includes its leader's vote of confidence in his American

counterpart.

It didn't take long for Donald Trump to thank Kim Jong-un for the respectful remarks.

However his point man on North Korean affairs remains adamant that it's a long road ahead

and not much distance is covered.

Park Hee-jun zooms in on the reaction from Washington.

U.S. President Donald Trump has thanked North Korean leader Kim Jong-un for his "unwavering

faith" in him.

Tweeting a 'thank you' to Kim on Thursday,...

President Trump said that, despite bumps in the road,... they will (quote) "get it done

together",... signaling there could be further negotiations between the two sides.

The tweet came after the North Korean leader reaffirmed his commitment to completely denuclearize

the Korean Peninsula.

South Korean National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong revealed after meeting Kim in Pyongyang,...

that Kim expressed unchanged faith in the U.S. President,... and that he planned to

denuclearize within Trump's first term in office, which ends in January 2021.

But while President Trump praised Kim,... his Secretary of State took a harder line.

During his trip to India,...

Mike Pompeo emphasized there's still a lot of work to be done.

"It is the case that there is still an enormous amount of work to do.

We haven't had any nuclear tests, we haven't had any missile tests, which we consider a

good thing.

But the work of convincing Chairman Kim to make this strategic shift that we've talked

about, for a brighter future for the people of North Korea, continues."

Pointing out that North Korea is the only country with commitments under UN Security

Council resolutions,... Pompeo added the U.S. will continue efforts to enforce them to ensure

North Korea delivers on the promises it made at the Singapore summit in June.

Attention now turns to how the indirect dialogue will affect the denuclearization process,...

and whether there will be a breakthrough in the apparently stalled negotiations, after

President Trump cancelled Pompeo's trip to Pyongyang last month.

White House Officials Warned Psychiatrist About Trump's Declining Mental State - Duration: 4:13.

With the upcoming release of Bob Woodward's new book, the excerpts of that book, which

came out this week in addition to The New York Times op-ed by an anonymous Donald Trump

White House staffer questions, questions have been swirling about Donald Trump's mental

stability and whether or not he is even fit to be the President of the United States.

We know from the op-ed that some staffers inside the White House had considered invoking

the 25th Amendment to remove an unfit president from office, but ultimately they decided not

to because they feared it would trigger a constitutional crisis, which is one of the

weakest excuses you could imagine.

However, in addition to all of that, a new report from Chauncey DeVega at Salon.com reveals

that one of the leading psychiatrists in this country had actually been contacted by staffers

from the Trump Administration who said that they were worried about Donald Trump's mental

instability.

They said that his mind was unraveling and that his actions were scaring them.

This was Dr. Brandy Lee, a Yale University psychiatrist, she's the editor of The Dangerous

Case of Donald Trump.

She said that these staffers, two of them, reached out to her last October to express

these concerns.

Now, Dr. Lee has obviously been someone who has been critical of Donald Trump and his

mental decline.

But in this piece by Chauncey DeVega, it's not just Lee.

Many other psychiatrists have also been expressing their concerns.

The book that Lee edited I believe has 27 different psychologists or psychiatrists analyzing

the President, telling us how unfit he truly is to serve as the President.

Here's the thing, we now know from a well renown psychiatrist that members of the Trump

Administration actually reached out to her to get advice about what to do about the President.

There should be no doubt in anyone's minds at this point that there is something wrong

with Donald Trump.

I'm not just talking about the horrible policies.

This man is not thinking clearly because he is mentally incapable of thinking clearly.

He is a danger.

He is a threat to the entire United States and basically to the entire planet at this

point as the leader of the United States.

We have passed the time for the 25th Amendment to be invoked.

Elizabeth Warren is actually now saying that if the staffers think we should do this then

maybe it is time that we go ahead and do this.

This is not impeachment.

This isn't revenge.

Donald Trump, if the 25th Amendment is invoked, would absolutely get the opportunity to prove

himself to be mentally competent enough to continue to serve as President.

If he's able to do that, then he gets to keep the job.

If he can't, he's removed from office, but it puts it on him.

Prove that you are competent enough to run this country, but I don't think he can and

I think most people in this country understand at this point that he probably could not do

that.

When we get these warnings from the psychiatrist, from the mental health community about what

they see with Donald Trump, those are warnings that we need to listen to.

It's one thing if you want to dismiss Bob Woodward's book or if you want to dismiss

The New York Times op-ed, but the advice of mental health professionals, we ignore that

as a country at our own risk.

These people 100% know what they're talking about.

They know the warning signs.

They have identified them in the President and they have been telling us for over a year

that this man should be immediately removed from office.

Trump Loses His Mind Over Staffer Who Wrote NYT Op-Ed - Duration: 3:45.

Donald Trump is absolutely furious about the New York Times op-ed that came out this week

allegedly written by a member of the Trump administration.

And because Donald Trump doesn't know who this anonymous staffer is, he is absolutely

losing his mind trying to find who this person could be.

Now so far we have had people like Mike Pence and Pence's chief of staff have to come out

and say, "No, no, no.

It 100% is not me."

Mike Pence was one of the early suspects I guess, because of the use of the term "lodestar."

Kellyanne Conway's name has also been floated out there as somebody who could have possible

written this thing, because as people have pointed out, she's relatively young, she could

still have a future in DC, her husband hates Trump, she's got kids she's got to care about,

so she still needs a career once she leaves here.

But I don't think it's them.

I think this is likely somebody who's a little bit of a smaller fish.

Somebody who's name you wouldn't ever recognize if they came out and said "Yes, it was me."

I could be wrong, we don't know, it's all speculation and that's why Trump is losing

his mind.

He tweeted out first and foremost that, "Obviously the failing New York Times has published this

thing.

They're horrible.

This person is gutless, but if indeed this person does exist the New York Times has to

immediately hand them over to the federal government for national security purposes."

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't see how in anyway what this op-ed has to say or

what this person wrote in the New York Times, how that is a national security issue.

This is just a person talking about their job inside the White House.

Yeah, whether you agree with it or disagree with it, whatever, but there's nothing of

national security importance written in that particular op-ed that wasn't already available

to the public.

So yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on that.

And again, it obviously has nothing to do with national security.

You just want to know where the rats are.

You want to find out who you can trust within your administration and let me give you the

best answer possible Mr. Trump, the answer is nobody.

You can't trust anybody.

Everybody's out to get you.

That may not be true, but really the rest of the people in this administration do have

to be concerned about their futures.

You know, you have young staffers there.

People in their late 20s or early 30s, that have 30, 40 more years of work ahead of them.

We already know that many of these staffers who have left are incapable of finding new

jobs because nobody wants to hire anyone who worked for the Trump administration.

Hell, reports have come out saying they can't even find dates because nobody wants to date

a member of the Trump administration.

So this op-ed was an effort by this person, probably on behalf of several other people,

to save face.

To save their career, and hopefully cement their conservative roots inside of DC, so

that they can go on and work again in the future for a think tank, Republican members

of Congress, maybe another Republican president, who knows at this point.

But the important thing is that Donald Trump doesn't know, and he's going to be living

in fear until this person finally comes forward and says, "Yes.

It was me," but until then Trump can't trust anyone in his administration.
