Trump news on Youtube Sep 7 2018

On Wednesday, an explosive op-ed about President Donald Trump was published in

'The New York Times' and you had better believe the late-night hosts had plenty to say

on the subject. The piece was written by an anonymous senior Trump administration

official who claims to be part of the "resistance" to Trump but not from the left and said,

in part, "Many Trump appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve

our democratic institutions while thwarting Mr. Trump's more misguided impulses

until he is out of office." On CBS's 'Late Show' Stephen Colbert addressed the

mystery surrounding the author of the opinion piece, and took the opportunity to

poke fun at the revolving door of employees the White House has seen since

Trump stepped into office. Referring to the vague revelation that the writer was "a

senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and

whose job would be jeopardized by its disclosure," Colbert quipped:

Pondering just how many people there could be in the current administration who

believe in its policies and goals yet still think the president is a dangerous idiot,

Colbert came up with this simple equation.

Colbert's guest, former Secretary of State and onetime Democratic presidential

candidate John Kerry, also shared his thoughts on the 'Times' piece, saying that it

"scared the hell out of him," before offering some sobering words. "You know what

it really means, Stephen, is that we don't really have a president," Kerry said.

"We have a president who is there but he's not capable of doing the job or living up to

the responsibilities." Over on Comedy Central's 'Daily Show,' Trevor Noah expressed

shock at what the news could potentially mean. The host exclaimed, "Holy shit.

There's a secret group of people within the White House actively working to

curb President Trump, which is wild, because this means this whole time we've

been dealing with the watered-down version of Trump!"

Noah also said the op-ed and its author's admission that "it may be cold comfort in

this chaotic era, but Americans should know that there are adults in the room,"

did not make him feel any better. "Before this, I knew there was turbulence," Noah began.

He then concluded his comparison by joking about this potential solution to

the hypothetical scenario.

On ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' Kimmel joked that he had cracked the case of

the authors hidden identity.

The late night host also pointed out that some Internet users have picked up on the use

of the word "lodestar" in the piece. "That's not a common word, lodestar. Not a lot of

people use that word," Kimmel explained before offering video evidence of Vice

President Mike Pence using the word…..like, a lot.

"Wouldn't that be something if it was Mike Pence?" Kimmel asked. "This is gonna drive

Trump absolutely nuts. Can you imagine what it must be like to have a job at

which almost everyone who works for you thinks you're a complete idiot?"

On NBC's 'Late Night' Seth Meyers also addressed the op-ed piece, paying homage

to the best-selling board game "Clue."

Also on NBC, 'The Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon joked about the situation saying,

He then pulled out his best Trump impression to imagine how the Commander-in-Chief

might have reacted to the news of the op-ed being published.

Trump's actual reaction, came via his favorite social media platform on Wednesday night

with the president tweeting, "Does the so-called "Senior Administration Official" really

exist, or is it just the Failing New York Times with another phony source?

If the GUTLESS anonymous person does indeed exist, the Times must,

for National Security purposes, turn him/her over to government at once!"

On Thursday morning, POTUS took to Twitter once more to write, "The Deep State

and the Left, and their vehicle, the Fake News Media, are going Crazy -

& they don't know what to do."

Trump thanks Kim Jong-un for his faith in him, says they'll work together to denuclearize - Duration: 2:01.

The latest coming from Pyeongyang includes its leader's vote of confidence in his American

counterpart.

It didn't take long for Donald Trump to thank Kim Jong-un for the respectful remarks.

However his point man on North Korean affairs remains adamant that it's a long road ahead

and not much distance is covered.

Park Hee-jun zooms in on the reaction from Washington.

U.S. President Donald Trump has thanked North Korean leader Kim Jong-un for his "unwavering

faith" in him.

Tweeting a 'thank you' to Kim on Thursday,...

President Trump said that, despite bumps in the road,... they will (quote) "get it done

together",... signaling there could be further negotiations between the two sides.

The tweet came after the North Korean leader reaffirmed his commitment to completely denuclearize

the Korean Peninsula.

South Korean National Security Advisor Chung Eui-yong revealed after meeting Kim in Pyongyang,...

that Kim expressed unchanged faith in the U.S. President,... and that he planned to

denuclearize within Trump's first term in office, which ends in January 2021.

But while President Trump praised Kim,... his Secretary of State took a harder line.

During his trip to India,...

Mike Pompeo emphasized there's still a lot of work to be done.

"It is the case that there is still an enormous amount of work to do.

We haven't had any nuclear tests, we haven't had any missile tests, which we consider a

good thing.

But the work of convincing Chairman Kim to make this strategic shift that we've talked

about, for a brighter future for the people of North Korea, continues."

Pointing out that North Korea is the only country with commitments under UN Security

Council resolutions,... Pompeo added the U.S. will continue efforts to enforce them to ensure

North Korea delivers on the promises it made at the Singapore summit in June.

Attention now turns to how the indirect dialogue will affect the denuclearization process,...

and whether there will be a breakthrough in the apparently stalled negotiations, after

President Trump cancelled Pompeo's trip to Pyongyang last month.

Obama rebukes Trump for targeting attorney general, FBI - Duration: 1:06.

It should not be democratic or

Republican.

It should not be a partisan

issue to say that we do not

pressure the attorney general or

the FBI to use the criminal

justice system as a cudgel to

punish our political opponents.

[ Applause ]

Or to explicitly call on the

attorney general to protect

members of our own party from

prosecution because an election

happens to be coming up.

I'm not making that up.

That's not hypothetical.

It shouldn't be democratic or

Republican to say that we don't

threaten the freedom of the

press because they say things or

publish stories we don't like.

I complained plenty about fox

An actor in the Broadway musical Frozen was caught on video ripping a 'Trump 2020' banner away from an audience member

Timothy R Hughes - who portrays the character Pabbie in the Disney production - has refused to apologize for the outburst during the curtain call following Wednesday's show

Hughes shared a clip that shows him grabbing the sign away and throwing it off the stage, calling the audience member a 'disrespectful man trying to interrupt this moment with a pathetic political platform'

In the caption Hughes wrote: 'What does it say about our country and politics when a man at the show tonight felt the need to protest Disney's Frozen on Broadway with a pro Trump flag?? 'How frightening is it that our show's messages of love, acceptance, and diversity have become the opposition to supporting Trump? 'The curtain call is a thank you between actors and audience, a final connection to end a shared experience

'I will not apologize for how I responded to the disrespectful man trying to interrupt this moment with a pathetic political platform

Not at our show! Not in front of my beautiful, diverse, talented cast at @frozenbroadway

I appreciate everyone's support.' Several audience members captured the incident on video, showing the cast bowing hand-in-hand before Hughes noticed the heckler wearing a 'Make America Great Again' visor

The Greatest Showman actor's behavior has been met with a range of reactions from criticism to praise on social media
