I keep saying we think because

In fact, there's a concerted

Just as I finished the live

They escorted us from the county

I did not realize that in

I hadn't seen anything like this

What Pres Trump Just Said About Immigration Proves Dems Are On Wrong Side Of History - Duration: 2:22.

When POTUS speaks, everybody listens!

And that includes when he tweets!

Yesterday, in a speech at the White House, POTUS tells the Democrats to STOP obstructing

so that the American immigration policy can be fixed.

POTUS says during the speech and says, "The United States will not be a migrant camp,

and it will not be a refugee holding facility."

Pres Trump continues, "It won't be.

You look at what's happening in Europe.

You look at what is happening in other places.

We cannot allow that to happen.

Not on my watch."

Then in a powerful statement for everyone to hear, he says, "We want safety.

And we want security for our Country."

POTUS says that "If the Democrats would sit down, instead of obstructing.

We could have something done, very quickly.

Good for the children, good for the Country.

Good for the world."

And he agrees that "we're stuck with theses horrible laws.

They're horrible laws.

It's so sad.

It's so sad.

And it can be taken care of quickly, beautifully and we'll have safety."

"This could really be something very special," POTUS says, "Maybe even something for the

world to watch.

Just like they are watching our great economy.

How it's soaring.

They can watch this."

POTUS tweets:

"Children are being used by some of the worst criminals on earth as a means to enter

our country.

Has anyone been looking at the Crime taking place south of the border.

It is historic, with some countries the most dangerous places in the world.

Not going to happen in the U.S."

"Democrats are the problem.

They don't care about crime and want illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be,

to pour into and infest our Country, like MS-13.

They can't win on their terrible policies, so they view them as potential voters!"

"#CHANGETHELAWS Now is the best opportunity ever for Congress to change the ridiculous

and obsolete laws on immigration.

Get it done, always keeping in mind that we must have strong border security."

Kirstjen Nielsen was quoted as saying, "Pause to think about this statistic: 314% increase

in adults showing up with kids that are not a family unit.

Those are traffickers, those are smugglers, that is MS-13, those are criminals, those

are abusers.

Trump: I'm Cutting All Aid to Countries Abusing America's Immigration System - Duration: 3:14.

President Donald Trump has received some harsh criticism from Democrats and the mainstream

media on his tough stance on immigration — but he refuses to back down and hasn't wavered

a bit.

On Tuesday, Trump planned to meet with Republicans in Congress to discuss immigration legislation.

But first, during an event for The National Federation of Independent Business, he announced

a new plan to combat the huge illegal immigration problem our nation faces.

Trump said that the time of countries taking advantage of the United States by sending

people to our borders is going to come to an end.

"We want to end the border crisis by finally giving us the legal authorities and the resources

to detain and remove illegal immigrant families all together and bring them back to their

country," he told the crowd.

"Think of all that aid that we give some of these countries– hundreds of millions

of dollars we give to some of these countries and they send them up.

I'm going to go, very shortly, for authorization that when countries abuse us by sending their

people up — not their best (people) — we're not going to give any more aid to those countries,"

he said.

After receiving loud applause, the president added, "Why the hell should we?

Why should we?

This is a responsible, common-sense approach that all lawmakers should embrace, Democrats

and Republicans."

Trump has made it clear in the past that he is not interested in sending aid to countries

who take advantage of our immigration system.

In April, he tweeted, "the big Caravan of People from Honduras, now coming across Mexico

and heading to our 'Weak Laws' Border, had better be stopped before it gets there.

Cash cow NAFTA is in play, as in foreign aid to Honduras and the countries that allow this

to happen.

Congress MUST ACT NOW!"

During his speech, Trump also lamented that children are being separated from their parents,

but pointed out that it's a result of Democrat-supported loopholes in the law.

"I don't want children taken away from parents, and when you prosecute the parents

for coming in illegally — which should happen — you have to take the children away,"

he said.

"These loopholes have created a massive child smuggling trade.

Can you believe this?"

Trump said.

"In this day and age, we're talking about child smuggling.

We're talking about women smuggling, in this day and age."

"The smugglers know these rules and regulations better than the people that drew them, as

a result there has been a 325 percent increase in minors and a 435 percent increase in the

smuggling or attempted smuggling of families and minors into our country," he said.

"We're stopping them all the time, by the thousands, but they still get through.

We have no wall, we have no border security."

The president also blasted the North American Free Trade Agreement, saying that "Mexico

does nothing for us."

"We can no longer be the stupid country we want to be the smart country," Trump

said, adding that Mexico is "not sending their finest (people)."

Trump had demonstrated again and again that he believes the safety and security of American

citizens are what's most important — we can only hope that lawmakers in Congress have

the same priority.

the care they are now look so our veterans were waiting on line for nine

days for 12 days for three weeks someone on line with a minor problem they ended

up having a terminal disease now I said during the campaign before I

knew too much about it but there's a lot of common sense in life I say instead of

one of our great veterans waiting for two three four or five weeks why do we

let them go see a doctor and pay the bill and that's what we're doing that's

veterans Choice

that's veterans Choice and you know why went to people I thought of why I

thought I think I'm such a genius okay I thought this was like the greatest idea

but I went to the vet groups I went to everywhere yeah we've been trying to get

that pastor for 30 years okay I didn't know that but what I did know is I knew

had to get it passed and we got it two weeks ago

and by the way we passed another one's go right to tried you know what right to

try ends very proud of it right to try these are people that are terminally ill

it's it's sad they travel all over the world if they have the money if they

don't they don't know what to do if we have drugs that haven't been approved

yet but it's showing tremendous promise it didn't matter it didn't matter how

sick you were where you were you couldn't get it and the reason was they

didn't want to do anything that's gonna hurt you you're not gonna be around for

five weeks in five weeks I kept saying why can't we do something if people had

the money they'd travel to Africa to Asia to Europe trying to find the cure

it was called hope they wanted hope and they couldn't get it I said it's

ridiculous I got involved and this is also like veterans Choice for many years

people have tried to pass it and Kevin was a great help I have to tell Kevin

McCarthy who just left the stage was a great help so were your congressmen a

great help

and we got right to dry past and four weeks ago I signed final legislation and

we're very proud and many people are going to be safe

many many people are going to be safe and you think it would be easy but it

wasn't between the insurance companies and the health care companies and the

pharmaceutical companies it was incredible

but we did that and now we're bringing down the prices for prescription drugs

way down so we've made this incredible progress together with your help with

the help of the millions and millions of people that well some polls got it right

but not all polls got it right but they showed up and the beginning of that

night people are saying you know this could be a big problem for the Democrats

they were not liking what they were seeing they were seeing too many of

those hats they were seeing too many people with you know that that was an

amazing evening that was one of the most incredible evening because that's a

movement the likes of which this country has never seen before

this country has never seen you know we talked about the Forgotten men and women

they're the smartest people they worked the hardest they pay taxes they do all

of the things and yet they were the Forgotten people and believe me our

people are the smartest and the hardest-working smarter than anybody and

the hardest worker

you know a little thing I was talking about today you ever noticed they always

call the other side and they do this up but the elite the elite why are they

elite I have a much better apartment than they do

I'm smarter than they are I'm richer than they are I became president and

they didn't

and I'm representing the greatest smartest most loyal best people on earth

the deplorable z-- remember that deplorable

Oh

you know I was watching when crooked Hillary made and by the way is it hey

excuse me have you been seen have you been watching what's been going on with

the inspector general's report want to scam this whole thing is okay how guilty

is she

with Peter struck and his lover Lisa Paige

I don't think their wife and husband are too happy about that what do you think

what is it I don't think so no but have you been seen this whole scam have you

been you believe what you're seeing how no matter what she did no matter how

many crimes he committed which were numerous they wanted her to be innocent

with me nothing no collusion no nothing and they just wanted to take all of us

they wanted to put us in trouble and it's not working too well I'll tell you

disgusting

well the phony which on phony which I'm but you look at the corruption did you

ever see anything like it really today more things that's why they're building

up immigration so you can't see what's going on in Congress they're building up

immigration they don't want to show what's happening in Congress where this

whole scam has been revealed so they want to say on immigration where Obama

had bigger problems than anybody where Bush had problems where other prep they

want to stay on immigration because they don't want to go into the halls of

Congress which has totally revealed the Russian scam that's going on what a

group lot agree

I'll tell you something we want to get along with Russia but Russia's looking

out in the same man I wish she won between our military our oil that would

she wanted to have windmills you know we want to compete with you all the things

we've done all the things we've done including sanctions so many things

they're looking back there say you know I wish crooked Hillary won that election

would have been a lot better for Russia

so what we want to do is we want to elect more republicans so that we can

deliver on all of the things I'm talking about and I'll be honest with you we're

going to deliver anyway we're gonna do

we're gonna lift millions of Americans from welfare to work from dependence to

independence and from poverty to prosperity we are going to lift

you know one of the greatest things about all the jobs we've created to me

the greatest is that people now don't get stuck in one job and they hate it

they don't want to get up in the morning they have many many options they can go

out wages are rising it's a beautiful thing taking place they can get

something I've always said you know when I make speeches on how to be successful

I always say like the first thing you got to love it you gotta love it you

gotta love your job well you're never going to be good these people now that

didn't have any options they were hanging on to one job that they hated

they have many many choices they get the job they want and for the first time in

20 years wages are rising

we're gonna build new airports and we're gonna build railways and highways and

waterways all across this magnificent land we have spent because of horrible

decision making seven trillion dollars in the Middle East

think of it seven trillion and if we want to fix a window it's like a big

deal seven trillion dollars it's all coming back remember during the debates

I talked about growth growth we need growth nobody's ever seen growth like

we're having right now when I go around and meet foreign leaders they all

congratulate me mr. president congratulations on the growth of the

United States congratulations every one of them first thing

by the way is there anything more fun than a Trump rally is

and we break every attendance record every single time just about

we're gonna put new steel into the backbone of our country and we're going

to make that steel right here in the United States

we're gonna breathe New Hope into our communities and our workers are already

so proud again we will do it all with American hands an American Heart and

American pride and everything we do we will stand up for our citizens we will

fight for our country will stand up for America and we're going to stand up for

the great state of Minnesota and you're seeing that

your great state was pioneered by men and women who braved the wilderness and

the winters to build a better life for themselves and for their incredible

families they were really tough and they were really smart and strong they didn't

have a lot of money they didn't have a lot of luxury but they had grit and they

had faith and they had courage and they had each other right

they were miners and ministers and fishermen and farmers and shipbuilders

and shopkeepers but they all had one thing in common they loved their

families they loved their country and they loved their God

together we're renewing the miracle of the great American Midwest do you

remember not so long ago we were producing those cars and we were

producing all of this stuff and since then so many companies went to Mexico

and went to other places as I said before they are coming back and they're

coming back faster than anybody could ever believe

we're standing on the shoulders of great American patriots who put down the

railroads built up the highways and dug out the most amazing Panama Canal losing

thousands of lives in doing it they cross the oceans trek the desert scale

the mountains created the most incredible Republic the world has ever

seen and you know what our republic today is

prouder and greater than it ever was before

our beautiful ancestors one two world wars defeated fascism and communism and

put a man on the face of the moon

and I think you saw the other day we're reopening NASA we're going to be going

to space

Spaceballs space for us so we have the army the

Navy the Air Force the Marines the Coast Guard but we have the Air Force now

we're going to have the space force because it's all we need

we need it as long as we are proud of who we are and what we are fighting for

we will never ever fail there is no place like our place there is no place

with your help and with your voice and with your vote the Republicans will win

and keep on winning we will keep on winning we have great people and Pete is

a great guy you got to get him a victory great guy now to get Peter victory you

got to get him a victory we need him we will achieve victory for our magnificent

country and our magnificent land the land that we love because we are

Americans and our hearts bleed red white and blue

we will never give in we will never give up and we will never ever stop fighting

for our country or for our flag or for our freedom

we are one people one family and one glorious nation under God and together

we will make America wealthy again we will make America strong again we will

make America safe again and we will make America great again Thank You president

Trump's executive order also a topic of conversation today signed and it is

intended to stop the separation of parents and children at the border that

came up lots of news tonight our friend Tammy Bruce was watching the entire

speech and she joins us tonight for some reaction tell me would you make it up

look incredible crowd they had to change the venue because there were so many

people he noted that there were thousands more waiting to get inside

clearly the crowd loved the speech what I found interesting Tucker is he's

always been good at these rallies but at this particular one you could tell that

he really understands that crowd he and he likes them he when he speaks about

what they represent he understands it in his heart it's a real indication of his

own growth as a man as certainly as president and that he likes the American

people that is clear and I think that that that informs the choices that he

makes I met him for the first time last night at an event in Washington and that

same kind of generosity and well even some of his opponents admit a charm is

there and it's and what I noticed is well with all the ugliness that we've

seen come at him and at the First Lady and others he enjoys the work he we saw

the first lady with the king and queen of Spain yesterday as well she clearly

is in her element so you've got two people who care about the country the

the reaction I also was surprised that Tucker that this crowd loved the

spaceforce idea oh my goodness toward the end there at the speech they were

chanting spaceforce and you know really it's the 24

century why not so I'm I'm I'm thrilled with it you can clearly see the

connection with his his own basic theory and his commitment to the country and

the issue on the border and with the family separation issue and the actions

he's taken compared to the left which I think has been attacking him it's pretty

clear and he mentioned it to distract now he said to distract from the

inspector general's report that's a big deal but it's also been to distract the

incredible accomplishment with North Korea and the economy which is still on

fire it's a remarkable turn of events and you

notice that those are the things also that just the media just is choosing not

to speak about and this issue which has been an issue certainly through Obama's

two terms suddenly is upsetting liberals all at once and I think that it's it's

pretty obvious that it's a it's contrived well I hate to always ask you

to play the role of shrink but since you spent many years on the left and I think

you're insightful and you've thought a lot about this tell me why certain

people watch what we just saw and I understand it you know they don't agree

with it or they think Trump is not acting in a dignified presidential

manner okay fine but some people look at what we just saw

and conclude that guy's Hitler and they say it on the other channels they mean

it would dead serious and as part of its to distract parts because that's how

they really feel how are they reaching that conclusion I don't see that at all

well and that's because when you're a conservative it's because of 85% of the

media really is is center-left we get a variety of information from a variety of

sources and we hear a bunch of different kinds of perspectives if you're only

watching a single network or even a few other networks but refuse to watch let's

say a network like Fox that has a variety of opinions you're gonna all

you're going to hear 24/7 is this harangue and whether you know whether it

was scarborough or actors as somebody like Peter Fonda who just went unhinged

on Twitter threatening the first lady wanting Baron to be kidnapped the

misogyny has been extraordinary and when that gets you know it's a constant ring

then you begin to believe that everybody thinks this and and

you get effectively conditioned into plexus is the genuine state that that is

exactly right and as huge consequences for this country disgust after the break

Timmy great to see you tonight thank you for that thanks for having me

thanks and we'll be right back

have wandered into dangerous

territory here.

>> Heilman?

>> I have found the last week or

so and particularly the last 48

hours or so, some of the most

disheartening and appalling

period of my entire adult life

covering politics and watching

what's been happening in this

what happened today is really an

easy story.

The president bowed to political

pressure.

We have not seen him do that

often.

We have seen many politicians do

the president usually tries to

push his way through.

It was undeniably intense and he

folded.

It's great.

It should be heartening to some

people that it is possible for

this president to be pressured

to stop from doing vile things.

At the same time, he is going to

and is already trying to have it

both ways.

We have seen him for days say,

you can't solve this with an

executive order, and then sit

there today on television and

say, hey, I have an executive

he has pitched him self as the

villain in a way that he likes

for days.

Yesterday when he used the

phrase infestation, it called to

mind -- it was basically saying

immigrants, people who come to

this country are vermin.

That's what he's saying.

It's the language of white

nationalist, splinter hard right

crazy town parties.

And we have haven't heard it in

our politics in a long time.

We've heard it in our politics

in history, but not in a while.

He's going to go -- he's going

to use that language between now

and November because he thinks

it works with the part of his

group, of his base.

He's also going to try to be a

hero and say what he said today.

Oh, compassion, the word

I like how he talked about the

word compression.

Can't actually express

compassion.

It has something to do with the

word compassion.

It is our job in the press and

also the job of Democrats to not

let the president have it both

ways on this issue and to make

sure that he can't be both.

You can't just do this thing and

then stand up and say, oh, hey,

I'm now the hero, I have

compassion.

Huh-uh, you can't go around

talking about people like

they're vermin, you can't

inflict this kind of pofl si on

Americans and not pay a

political price.

We have a great chance to

inflict one on him and his party

in November.

Meaning the Democrat party.

I'm not part of the democratic

party, but people who object to

this policy, which I think is a

lot of people beyond the

democratic party have a chance

Late-Night Hosts Continue to Criticize Donald Trump Over Child Separation Policy | THR News - Duration: 2:43.

"There are two ways to look at this story. Either you can be horrified,

or you can work for Donald Trump."

For the second night in a row, late-night hosts blasted the Trump

administration's controversial "zero tolerance" policy that has led to

the separation of thousands of children from the parents of illegal immigrants.

On CBS Tuesday, 'Late Show' host Stephen Colbert opened his monologue

by saying this.

"When it comes to the news, let's face it. We don't want to face it."

Referring to reports that White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders

didn't want to speak about the policy during a press briefing earlier that day,

Colbert said, "Try doing it on a comedy show."

"Listen up. You don't get to tag out here, Sarah, cause it's not really

you up there. You're just Donald Trump's mouthpiece, or whatever

part the lies come out of."

Over on Comedy Central, 'Daily Show' host Trevor Noah had some choice

words about Fox News' coverage of the policy and how host Laura Ingraham

referred to holding centers for the separated children as "summer camps."

"What kind of freaky-a-- summer camps does she go to?

Was her family just dropping her off every June at state prison?"

Meanwhile, on ABC, Jimmy Kimmel went after President Donald Trump himself,

mocking the president's Tuesday morning tweet that "Democrats are the problem"

and that there are "obsolete & nasty laws" to blame for child separation,

not his administration.

Kimmel asked, "Since when did Donald Trump start caring about laws?"

Referring to Trump University, he added,

"There's also a law against starting a fake university."

And after noting that even Melania Trump opposes child separation, Kimmel joked,

"Partly because it makes her jealous. 'Why can't I get separated from this family?'"

On NBC's 'The Tonight Show,' Jimmy Fallon discussed the 22 state attorney

generals who are fighting to end the policy, saying,

"Officials from 22 states demanded that Trump stop separating immigrant families.

When Trump heard that, he was like, 'Crap, that's every state."'

And over on NBC's 'Late Night,' Seth Meyers called out Secretary of Homeland

Security Kirstjen Nielsen after she dismissed demands that Trump

end the policy by responding with, "Congress can fix this tomorrow."

"Really? Have you met Congress? They're still finalizing the Louisiana Purchase."

The host then referenced Trump's tweet from Tuesday that read,

"If you don't have borders, you don't have a country!"

"And if you don't have a country, you can't have a president,

so we did it. We got rid of him."

To watch the full late night segments, head to THR.com.

And what do you think about the hosts' takes on the "zero tolerance" policy?

Let us know in the comments.

Y si eres fuerte, entonces no tienes corazón.

Trump's Twitter guru Dan Scavino mulls leaving the White House - 247 news - Duration: 2:50.

White House social media director Dan Scavino is the latest senior aide to consider leaving his post – a move that would leave President Trump with just one member of his original campaign team

Scavino maintains Trump's Twitter account, advising the president on his frequently controversial posts and sometimes posting tweets himself in Trump's name

Other senior campaign aides have already left, including Hope Hicks, Trump's campaign spokeswoman who became White House communications director – a post that remains vacant

Last year, longtime Trump advance director George Gicicos left the White House.Scavino is among a raft of aides considering leaving, the New York Times reported

Others contemplating the exits include White House chief of staff John Kelly, who has come in for public criticism from Trump

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders pushed back on a report last week that she was considering leaving at the end of the year, but did not deny it

The Times also named White House counsel Don McGahn, legislative affairs director Marc Short, and deputy press secretary Raj Shah as considering leaving

A departure by Scavino, who would sometimes present Trump with potential tweets to put out on the Internet, would leave First lady Melania Trump's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham as last senior campaign staffer at White House

Grisham flew with reporters on Trump's press plane during the campaign. The departure could provide Trump with the counsel of an aide who knows his habits and has the stature to speak frankly with him

Former campaign chair Paul Manafort is currently in jail after a judge revoked bail following what prosecutors said was witness tampering

Kellyanne Conway, who chaired Trump's campaign during his historic win in 2016, remains as a senior presidential advisor

Scavino, 42, met Trump in 1990, and had the good fortune to work as his caddy. He ended up managing a Trump golf course in New York, then ultimately joined his campaign

Scavino's wife, Jennifer, filed for divorce in New York in January.

CAVUTO TRUMP: DIDN'T LIKE THE SIGHT OR FEEUNG OF FAMILIES BEING SEPARATED - Duration: 14:44.

what we have done today is we are keeping families together the borders

are just as tough just as strong they can come into the ports of entry if they

want that's a whole different story and that's coming in through a process

and the process is what we want all right the process is what we want

and the process is what all the president's critics got especially a

little though so you had the power the Fed mr. president use your pen it's your

pen do it do it do it so he used his pen I think more like a felt-tip marker but

the fact of the matter was he went ahead and enforce through executive order what

a lot of its critics say he should have right away that is to force the point

that you can't separate kids from their parents at the border and a story right

well apparently not because the ACLU is already protesting this move even though

it returns us to exactly where we were before we were exercising this legal

right the administration said at the time to separate kids from their parents

that's a whole separate story what is not is the fast-moving developments

since and they're much faster than just the ACLU to Blake Berman at the White

House with more hey Blake hi there Neel and it was the position of

this administration just yesterday that if parents crossed the southern border

at least try to with their family members they are breaking the law and at

that point they said because they were breaking the law according to the

administration they needed to be separated from their children as takes

place if you break the law in any state or any city all across this country on

any given day now with this new executive order the administration is

still saying if these parents try to cross the border not going through a

port of entry they are still breaking the law the big differences here as the

legal process plays out they are now able to stay with their children if they

try to come across the border with their kids to come at the core of this

executive order very short just a little bit more than a page this yo reads at

one point quote it is the policy of this administration to maintain family unity

including by detaining alien families together where appropriate and

consistent with law and available resources the President signed this

executive order with the vice president by his side along with the head of the

Department of Homeland Security who got that felt-tip

pen watch here we're keeping families together and this will solve that

problem at the same time we are keeping a very powerful border and it continues

to be a zero tolerance we have zero tolerance for people that enter our

country illegally now this was likely to face legal scrutiny even before that

felt-tip pen hit paper earlier today here at the White House because the

federal courts have already ruled as recently as just a few years ago that

children could not stay in detention centers more than 20 days yet alone the

possibility of indefinitely the aclu weighed in this afternoon as you

mentioned Neal they said the following quote children don't belong in jail at

all even with their parents under any set of circumstances if the president

thinks placing families in jail indefinitely is what people have been

asking for he is grossly mistaken by the way

through all of this the president the administration still imploring Congress

to take permanent action Neal Wow like great rapport is always my friend

thank you very much like Berman what do I favorite reads on things that just are

common sense is Michael Goodwin appeal it surprised when in colonists so

happens right for the New York Post we certainly love that but Michael I

actually loved your column today in which you said the very themes here a

picture's worth a thousand words probably more in this case because those

images weren't doing anyone any good particularly Republicans who look to be

forcibly separating kids from their parents at the border and no matter what

logic the president was speaking it would fall on deaf ears what I didn't

predict was his going ahead and addressing their concerns and still

hearing it what do you make of this well look I think that he is right to do this

and you know because he had to I mean he he is right about so much he of the

things he says in terms of the border the necessity to seal it the fact that

the Democrats don't want sealed borders i mean the the dianne feinstein bill is

remarkable it would prohibit arrest within 100 miles of the border i mean

that is an open border piece of legislation that designed

standed every Democratic senator has signed on to and yet I think that the

the public relations battle the hearts and minds battle here was being lost

because of the photos of these children and it is of course their parents

decisions who did this but nonetheless this I think was dominating the

conversation fairly or unfairly we can argue about that but there's no question

the the country looked bad the president's policy looked bad because of

those images and I think that there was no way to argue that these are good

policies it's the only way to do it when look I think the timing of it is really

curious that that jeff sessions announced this in April begins at almost

right away and you have while this is happening there's a surge of people who

have been coming across the border all year so in the teeth of a surge he does

the zero-tolerance I mean I I'm assuming maybe that's too generous that they gave

this some thought that this would mean the accumulation of thousands of cases

and people as it stands the government admits that it has now custody of some

twenty one hundred children but they brought it back to where we were

essentially which no one seemed to have a problem with until now and today and

you alluded to all these other pieces of legislation under the table right most

submitted by Democrats now on the hundred-mile radius thing I've heard

about what you just heard about this idea that not one day in a detention

facility of jail or anything they're they're in for kids even when they're

with their parents so it's now going to revert to something much more dramatic

here because these we are now back to the conditions we had under Barack Obama

which no one complained about then but now not good enough well I'm not sure

they're exactly the same because the difference here is Obama when when

people were apprehended they were sued civilly now this is still a criminal

procedure under zero tolerance and by the way there were

distinctions made for adolescents already came into this country acting as

elaborate drug mills and all of that and they were drug runners or forced to be

such and we would see them in detention facilities or worse but it was a

different case but nevertheless there was no ulink right like there is now but

woody Frank happens now well look III hope that this policy goes into effect

quickly I hope that families are kept together and that there are no tragedies

attached to this no mishaps no accidents nothing bad happens so that we can get

back to a rational conversation about this border because the numbers of

people coming are now surging again and I think that the issues in Central

America are a prime factor you know new I report today that in 2016 a study

showed that 43 of the top cities in the world for homicide are located in

Central America that's what is spurring a lot of this gang violence murder I

mean you have the breakdown of civil society and that's spurring a lot of

this are coming through Mexico I think probably the president's relationship

with Mexico has has led Mexico not to lift a finger to stop them coming across

their southern border and through the Mexican northern border so I think there

there are complicating factors here our economy is doing gangbusters

that's an attraction for a lot of people so I think there are many factors

fueling this so that's why I think that the Jeff Sessions Policy the zero

tolerance policy was not well timed given what's happening on the border

wouldn't the irony be if he were fired over this and that would be interesting

as you'll see Michael thank you very own Michael Goodwin by the way Kevin Brady

the man who runs the House Ways and Means Committee is going to be exploring

the implications of all of the timing of this certainly to get it off the docket

here so they can concentrate on the six-month anniversary of the tax cuts

and all of that he'll be coming out later on in the meantime we are still

waiting word from China about what it's going to do to respond to the

president's threat that if you even think of copying or imitating might 200

billion and threatened tariffs on you which was in response to you matching

the fifty billion in trade tariffs I had originally on you then all hell is gonna

break loose now the trade is going to be a very big issue when the president

rides in Duluth Minnesota tonight that's where you'll find our Connell

McShane on how all of that is likely to play out hey Carl hey there Neil you

know it's interesting the trade issue as you know has been dividing the

Republican Party for some time and the powerful Koch brothers among the most

prodigious fund raisers and donors are the conservative side for years and

years have just put their sizable fortune behind a multi-million dollar ad

campaign television and radio designed to speak out against the president's

tariffs and encourage repo Republican lawmakers to support a free trade policy

in the house and in the Senate but here in Duluth Minnesota as the president

prepares to rally support us this evening as we speak to business leaders

and others we see a little bit of a different approach the president's

policies finding more support here take a listen

this is putting us back on that level playing field and it's really been a

benefit we've seen an increase in our and our volume and we've seen a lot of

our workers called back we're seeing that not only in the iron mines but also

in the steelmaking facilities that are along the Great Lakes system through

here

well Duluth is a port city and that woman you just heard from Kelsey Johnson

will be among those on hand at the next hour when the president holds a

roundtable with business leaders where he's expected to address the very

concern she just heard raised so that's what we're dealing with here as

supporters of the president are lined up at the arena to come in and hear him

speak about since it's a campaign rally just about anything this evening a

Republican Party that continues Neil to take different approaches when it comes

to this issue of trade all right thank you very much my friend Connell McCain

in Toulouse medicine with President Lee speaking tonight in the meantime though

of you know these whipsawed by these developments and is the president in

trouble or not is he gonna do foreign the immigration thing and bringing it

back or not and then the trade war well sometimes there are metaphors on the day

that sort of put you back and step back I want you to look at three stocks

together they're kind of interesting because they all involve a bidding war

for 21st Century Fox that's our parent company now we're not part of this plant

sale of assets here but everybody in his uncle and those two prominent companies

Walt Disney and Comcast or among those bidding for the properties now 21st

Century Fox is early so we prefer a Disney's deal but here's something

doesn't often happen this is going to be when all is said and done 70 80 90 100

billion dollars who knows so Disney's up Comcast is up you don't

see the company stocks are those behind the companies that are working over all

this dough we're playing to moving up on that as well as the enemy they're trying

to buy that you often see that so when I see something like that I got to say get

me Charles Payne if you can't get him on the phone see if he can come on the set

he opted for the ladder he's the host to make you money up fox business and

that's weird it is we're considering how dramatically Disney increase their offer

from $28 a $38 a 71 billion dollar offer but they change the mix of it and this

is an intriguing part now its cash and stock and you know what Wall Street is

essentially saying is that they think this is a smart move considering where

entertainment is going to have this sort of library to be a player in a Netflix

world because let's face it Netflix has changed the entire dynamics of the

industry with the stock the 21st century is well above $38 you know

it's closing in on $50 so it's just for the assets though right so so it's

anticipating what well it's almost a foregone conclusion that the Comcast

will come back because again the the writing is on the wall if you don't have

a large set of assets of the debris that that for instance fox brings in a type

of ability to churn out hits then you're in trouble in the entertainment industry

right now another stockinet flicks by the way right which is about another

like 15 bucks today isn't a final this is gone per Baalak it goes straight up

right now and it underscores that well playing it out I think eventually Disney

has the upper hand because I think Rupert Murdoch would like to be the

largest shareholder of Disney and I think you know it's a much better deal

than a cash deal from Comcast they have skin in the game going forward

they have great management that they trust and they have a great relationship

and environment taxes help tackle this what's feeding this to helping oh oh

there's no doubt about it you know I mean it's like the for instance for me

they besides the story the stock of the day for instance was Winnebago I think

was probably one of the top performing stocks today record revenue record

earnings and you know people have more money they're spending discretionary

money people are enjoying their lives I think that's the underlying thing if you

look at all the successful stocks in the market

it's about people living in the moment right now and whether it's Millennials

going camping on the weekends now something that they're living in the

moment whether it's going home and sitting in front of the TV and just

chilling out watching Netflix or war a Fox asset and this is what companies

have to capture and that's why there's bidding war is not over amazing amazing

all right thank you very much Thanks so this back and forth will continue but

it is sort of an antidote to what's going on meanwhile what is going on with

Peters frock and of course he still has a job at the FBI which is weird but

what's interesting right now is that despite being escorted out he could be

on the payroll like forever the read from Chuck Grassley who wants to know

why

they say I'm a nice guy
