TRUMP STUNS NATION WITH HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT GENERAL MATTIS

Secretary of Defense General Mattis has retired after serving President Trump for two years,

and helping to destroy ISIS.

CNBC reported that James Mattis stepped down as President Donald Trump's secretary of

Defense on Thursday.

In a letter addressed to Trump, Mattis said that "because you have a right to have a

Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours" on a number of subjects,

"I believe it is right for me to step down from my position."

In his letter, Mattis cited the importance of US alliances, particularly NATO, and said

the US must stand 'resolute and unambiguous' in the face of authoritarian countries such

as China and Russia.

From Daily Wire

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that General Jim Mattis will retire from his

role as Secretary of Defense in February after serving two years in the administration.

"General Jim Mattis will be retiring, with distinction, at the end of February, after

having served my Administration as Secretary of Defense for the past two years," Trump

tweeted.

"During Jim's tenure, tremendous progress has been made, especially with respect to

the purchase of new fighting equipment."

"General Mattis was a great help to me in getting allies and other countries to pay

their share of military obligations," Trump continued.

"A new Secretary of Defense will be named shortly.

I greatly thank Jim for his service!"

"Because you have the right to have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned

with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down from

my position," Mattis said his a resignation letter.

The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that "Trump's decision to abruptly withdraw

troops from Syria is a clear rebuke to Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, the last remaining member

of a retinue of military men Trump once fondly called 'my generals.'"

The Post notes that Mattis had been repeatedly overruled by Trump in recent months as he

apparently lost influence with the president.

"Mattis had argued that the counterterrorism mission in Syria is not over and that the

small U.S. presence in Syria should remain, said current and former U.S. officials who

spoke on the condition of anonymity to share internal policy discussions," The Post added.

"The Pentagon chief also had tried to explain to Trump that there would be more chaos in

the region and future problems for the United States if the troops leave, they

said."

TRUMP DROPS MASSIVE NUKE ON MUELLER,ROBERT MUELLER IN FULL PANIC MODE - Duration: 15:13.

TRUMP DROPS MASSIVE NUKE ON MUELLER,ROBERT MUELLER IN FULL PANIC MODE

Has President Donald Trump been subpoenaed by special counsel Robert Mueller?

If you believe Politico the answer is yes.

A new report by Politico on Wednesday said that court documents have been filed that

makes it appear as if Mueller has subpoenaed the president to testify before the grand

jury.

The legal fight of the century may have already started, and almost no one noticed?

According to former federal prosecutor Nelson Cunningham, recent reporting — some of it

just by hanging around the clerk's office in Washington DC — reveals a very unusual

level of activity involving a grand jury, a subpoena, and bunch of expedited appeals.

Has Robert Mueller subpoenaed the president? Cunningham says "it all fits":

But now, thanks to Politico's reporting (backed up by the simple gumshoe move of sitting

in the clerk's office waiting to see who walks in and requests what file), we may know

what Mueller has been up to: Since mid-August, he may have been locked in proceedings with

Trump and his lawyers over a grand jury subpoena – in secret litigation that could tell us

by December whether the president will testify before Mueller's grand jury.

The evidence lies in obscure docket entries at the clerk's office for the D.C. Circuit.

Thanks to Politico's Josh Gerstein and Darren Samuelsohn, we know that on August 16th (the

day after Giuliani said he was almost finished with his memorandum, remember), a sealed grand

jury case was initiated in the D.C. federal district court before Chief Judge Beryl A.

Howell.

We know that on September 19, Chief Judge Howell issued a ruling and 5 days later one

of the parties appealed to the D.C. Circuit.

And thanks to Politico's reporting, we know that the special counsel's office is involved

(because the reporter overheard a conversation in the clerk's office).

We can further deduce that the special counsel prevailed in the district court below, and

that the presumptive grand jury witness has frantically appealed that order and sought

special treatment from the judges of the D.C. Circuit – often referred to as the "second-most

important court in the land."

How do we know this isn't Roger Stone, Carter Page, or some other fringe figure in the special

counsel investigation?

Presumably, any number of people would fight a grand-jury subpoena if one got delivered

to them, and might appeal a lower-court defeat.

That's true enough, Cunningham acknowledges, but few of them would get those appeals fast-tracked,

especially in the manner the court docket suggests.

After the first appeal was lodged, the court gave Mueller's team only three days to respond,

then dismissed the appeal two days after Mueller's team filed their response — apparently on

technical grounds, because the district court issued a favorable ruling to the witness,

who renewed the appeal.

Back before the D.C. Circuit, this case's very special handling continued.

On October 10, the day the case returned to the court, the parties filed a motion for

expedited handling, and within two days, the judges had granted their motion and set an

accelerated briefing schedule.

The witness was given just 11 days to file briefs; the special counsel (presumably) just

two weeks to respond; and reply papers one week later, on November 14 (for those paying

attention, that's 8 days after the midterm elections).

Oral arguments are set for December 14.

That's pretty fast for an ordinary witness' appeal of a subpoena, Cunningham argues, but

that's not the most compelling circumstance.

After losing the first appeal, the witness asked for an en banc review, which would require

all ten current judges on the DC Circuit Court of Appeal to rule on the case.

That itself is unusual, Cunningham argues, suggesting that the witness presents specific

and unique circumstances.

And at that point, a very curious thing happened — Judge Gregory Katsas recused himself before

the en banc petition was denied.

And who is Gregory Katsas?

He's the only current Trump appointee to the DC Circuit, Cunningham notes, as well

as a former deputy counsel to Trump.

The en banc petition wouldn't require a recusal if the witness were someone like Stone

or Page, as Katsas testified during his confirmation hearings that he never worked on anything

to do with the special counsel investigation.

However …

But if the witness were the president himself – if the matter involved an appeal from

a secret order requiring the president to testify before the grand jury – then Judge

Katsas would certainly feel obliged to recuse himself from any official role.

Not only was the president his former client (he was deputy counsel to the president, remember)

but he owes his judicial position to the president's nomination.

History provides a useful parallel: In 1974, in the unanimous Supreme Court decision US

v Nixon requiring another witness-president to comply with a subpoena, Justice William

Rehnquist recused himself for essentially the same reasons.

But, The New York Times Maggie Haberman reported, that the speculation is nothing more than

fake news according to President Trump's counsel Jay Sekulow.

"The report in Politico is completely false.

There has been no subpoena issued and there is no litigation," he

told her.

TRUMP JUST DROPS A DEVASTATING ANNOUNCEMENT ON SPECIAL COUNSEL ROBERT MUELLER - Duration: 13:35.

TRUMP JUST DROPS A DEVASTATING ANNOUNCEMENT ON SPECIAL COUNSEL ROBERT MUELLER

Robert Mueller and his rigged witch hunt crossed the line.

Mueller terrorized Trump associates in an effort to frame the President for collusion

with Russia.

But then Trump shut down Mueller with these two tweets.

Donald Trump Points Out The Mueller Probe Is A Scam

The Mueller probe is an illegitimate scam.

More Americans realize this every day.

And they are fed up with the fact that Mueller is part of a coup to overthrow a President

duly elected by the American people.

According to both CNN and NBC's exit polling data from the midterm elections, more Americans

disapprove of the way Mueller is handling the investigation than approve of it.

It's not hard to see why.

Mueller's collusion case is a bust.

He has indicted no one for conspiring with Russia.

Roger Stone was his main target, but Stone recently produced text messages that proved

he told the truth about receiving information about WikiLeaks hacked emails from a backchannel

source.

Donald Trump reacted to this news by again pointing out that Mueller's investigation

is a rigged witch hunt.

Trump tweeted:

The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess.

They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts.

They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with

the answers they want.

They are a disgrace to our Nation and don't…

….care how many lives the ruin.

These are Angry People, including the highly conflicted Bob Mueller, who worked for Obama

for 8 years.

They won't even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side.

A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!

Donald Trump Stays On The Offense Trump also pointed out the real collusion

case that someone should investigate.

He tweeted:

Universities will someday study what highly conflicted (and NOT Senate approved) Bob Mueller

and his gang of Democrat thugs have done to destroy people.

Why is he protecting Crooked Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Lisa Page & her lover, Peter S, and

all of his friends on the other side?

He also wrote:

The only "Collusion" is that of the Democrats with Russia and many others.

Why didn't the FBI take the Server from the DNC?

They still don't have it.

Check out how biased Facebook, Google and Twitter are in favor of the Democrats.

That's the real Collusion!

Mueller will never investigate those crimes.

That's because they were committed by loyal members of the swamp.

Mueller's job is to protect the swamp and destroy Donald Trump.

That's why he's harassing Trump supporters like investigative journalist Jerome Corsi.

Corsi said he expects Mueller's team to indict him for perjury even though he believed

he was fully truthful.

But Corsi supported Trump.

He also wrote a book about how he believed Barack Obama was born in Kenya.

So Mueller singled him out for destruction.

And now he may end up spending the rest of his life in prison—despite the fact he never

worked for the Trump campaign and never colluded with the Russians.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments

in this

ongoing story.

I taught Trump how to tweet recalls ex-Trump social media manager - Duration: 8:23.

Justin McConney, the man who taught Donald Trump how to tweet, described the sinking feeling in his stomach he felt when he realized his boss was tweeting on his own

'The moment I found out Trump could tweet himself was comparable to the moment in 'Jurassic Park' when Dr

Grant realized that velociraptors could open doors,' McConney told Politico.'I was like, 'Oh no

'' Twitter has become Trump's favorite form of communication. He uses it to announce hirings and firings in his White House

He posts policy changes. And he uses the social media platform to rail against his perceived political enemies: 'Crooked' Hillary Clinton, the 'Witch Hunt!' special counsel Robert Mueller is conducting with his Russia investigation, and even members of his own Cabinet and party - often ending his rants with an explanation point

This week, starting Sunday, Trump wrote 43 original tweets on his @RealDonaldTrump account, whose following has grown to 56

4million followers. His tweets typically garner retweets in the five figures.McConney, who was the Trump Organization's director of social media from 2011 to 2017, shared with Politico his perspective of Trump's online journey

McConney recalled the day - Feb.5, 2013, - that he saw a tweet posted on @RealDonaldTrump which thanked actress Sherri Shepherd for comments she made about the business mogel during an appearance on ABC's 'The View

' He knew he had not posted the tweet. He queried other members of the social media team and they hadn't posted it either - and that was the moment he realized Trump had figured out Twitter on his own

McConney oversaw the account's evolution - from its quiet beginnings when it was established in 2009 to Trump's take over in 2012

McConney, who was 24 when he took the job, had to work out of the Trump Organization's cafeteria, as the company didn't know what to do with him or where to put him

He had to preach the virtues of social media to the Trump family and push to get the business titan to appreciate its value

Trump, McConney recalled to Politico, was initially skeptical of social media. The business tycoon got his start in the New York tabloids and on network television

That was the area where his comfort lied. But when McConney showed Trump how social media could translate into traditional media coverage, the businessman was intrigued

The moment that really sold Trump on the power of the internet was his lunch with former Alaska Gov

Sarah Palin in 2011.The two ate pizza together in Manhattan but most of the media coverage centered on the fact Trump ate his slice with a knife and fork

McConney convinced Trump to record an explanation of his eating technique for a blog post

Trump told the camera: 'This way you can take the top of the pizza off so you're not just eating the crust

I like to not eat the crust so we can keep the weight down.' His explanation was quoted by several news outlets, much to his delight

'That's when he was sold on the concept of social media,' McConney told Politico. It was the instant gratification and control that appealed to Trump

And, from there, the account's postings grew.In 2010, before McConney started with Trump, the account had tweeted only 142 times

He had McConney print out his Twitter mentions and he would hand-write responses for the aide to post online

He would also have McConney print out photos of himself to approve the ones posted to @RealDonaldTrump

'He was very old school back then,' McConney told the news website.'He was not someone who really used computers or went on the internet very much

' But, he added, Trump 'knew PR and he knew news cycles very well.' Trump increased his Twitter pace - posting up to 10 times a day

He would call McConney 24/7 to dictate everything from the wording to the placement of dashes and exclamation points

At first the calls came from Melania Trump, who had saved McConney's number in her phone, hit dial and would hand it to her husband

She would also weigh in on Trump's ideas for tweets, speaking in the background as her husband was on the phone with McConney

In November 2012, on a flight to Florida, Trump asked McConney if he preferred iPhones or Androids

McConney said iPhone but Trump replied: 'The screens are much bigger on the Android

' He soon had his own mobile phone and, in February 2013, began to tweet for himself

In 2013, Trump tweeted more than 8,000 times. As for McConney, he continued to advise Trump on social media strategy and did some work on the presidential campaign

But he was marginalized by Trump's first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who favored Dan Scavino, now the White House director of social media, sources told Politico

Trump orders US troops to leave Afghanistan - Duration: 3:58.

The Donald – who won the 2016 presidential election on the platform of America First – made the announcement to pull about half of all US troops stationed in the Middle Eastern country

His announcement will begin the phased withdrawal of US soldiers and bring an end to a 17-year engagement in the region

The deployment is the longest since the end of the Vietnam War.  It comes shortly after the president made the controversial decision to pull about 2,000 troops out of Syria

But, his order to bring troops home has been met with disapproval in his closest circles

Defence Secretary Jim Mattis fired shots at the Republican president, disagreeing with his recent decision to pull soldiers from Syria

Several of Trump's fellow Republicans in Congress, joined by opposition Democrats, urged the president to reverse course, saying the withdrawal would strengthen the hand of Russia and Iran in Syria and enable a resurgence of Islamic State

Trump, however, gave no sign of changing his mind and lashed out at Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican who is sometimes an ally of the president but who has said a withdrawal would have "devastating consequences" for the United States

"So hard to believe that Lindsey Graham would be against saving soldier lives & billions of $$$," Trump tweeted

"Why are we fighting for our enemy, Syria, by staying & killing ISIS for them, Russia, Iran & other locals?  "Farm Bill signing in 15 minutes!" the president wrote on Twitter, along with footage of his and Mullally's performance at the 2005 Emmy Awards, where Trump, who dressed in overalls and carried a pitchfork, and the actress, who was dressed as her Will & Grace character Karen Walker, performed the theme song for the 1960s sitcom about a New York City couple who moved to farm country

The bill is set to provide aid to U.S. farmers while restricting the ability of states to exempt work-eligible adults from having to obtain steady employment to receive food stamps, according to TIME

"We have to take care of our farmers and ranchers, and we will take care of them," Trump said during the signing

morning mark well today we start with the aftermath of President Trump's

decision to withdraw US troops from Syria after he declared victory over the

Islamic state terrorist group he took to Twitter on Thursday to defend the move

after he faced strong backlash from federal Republicans and some US allies

he posted that getting out of Syria was no surprise as he is publicly campaigned

on it during his presidency he added that he had waited long enough and that

it was time to quote come home and rebuild some Republicans fear that

withdrawal will cede US influence in the region to rivals Russia and Iran

consequently giving a stronger hand to the Syrian regime several US allies are

also bewildered by Trump's claim that Isis was defeated and are concerned the

absence of American troops actually may cause Isis to re-emerge the Kurdish

militia which is part of the us-led coalition in Syria said Trump's decision

had a dangerous implications for international stability the UK and

several other allies questioned Trump's assessment that Isis was defeated as

pockets of fighters remain
