After Manafort's Guilty Plea Rudy Giuliani Sends Dem Impeachment Hopes Back To Square One
which gears now to the major news out of
Washington today former Trump campaign
manager Paul Manafort had a deal with
Robert Motor Special Counsel
investigation joining us now with
reaction the president's on the
president's perspective on the matter as
his attorney Rudy Giuliani former New
York City Mayor mr. mayor good to see
you on the Madison issue I have been
told by numerous of multiple sources
close to mana fort and others that in
fact whatever cooperation is going to
take place is not what is being reported
it would have nothing to do with the
campaign Donald Trump Russia collusion
of any kind but more to do with lobbying
and other groups well Sean that's
absolutely true I mean the reality is
there was a quote put out by source
close to Manta Ford that the plea
agreement has and the cooperation
agreement has nothing to do with the
Trump campaign quote there is no
evidence of collusion now I know that
because I've been privy to a lot of
facts I can't repeat but the reality is
no evidence of collusion all you have to
do is look at the plea the plea is to
crimes that have to do with metaphors
past no involvement with President Trump
no involvement with the campaign no
involvement with Russia and by the way
there's also no evidence of obstruction
there have been four guilty pleas now
and they're completely irrelevant most
you agree with me mr. mayor you know
look I know you not only is New York
City's mayor but you're one of the
toughest prosecutors in the Southern
District of New York you were right
there putting your life on the line
taken down some of the the toughest
crime families in the country at the
time but do you agree with me that the
integrity of institutions like the FBI
the CIA and the DOJ and the Intel
community now hanging in a balance
because what have we discovered here
that the FB I first got Hillary off the
hook they fixed what we'll obvious
crimes she committed that they were
involved in spreading propaganda
misinformation through her bought and
paid for dossier that they also used it
to get a FISA warrant they lied to
Court judges and committed a fraud on
the court but the level of leaking and
lying and conspiracy to hurt than
candidate Trump and then President Trump

there is evidence there's no question
about it here here's the collusion

he's now tainted by this aren t you that
if there's the same relentless pursuit
of these people
as they've done to President Trump

admitted evidence of serious crimes and
a major conspiracy to first stop him
from being president and then to create
circumstances whether it be an
impeachment and this is my head hangs in
shame for the department that I gave 16
years of my life to the Department of
Justice have to certain ranking official
in the Department of Justice when I
could proudly say it was a Department of
Justice and the only thing that could be
done now is has relentless and
investigation of all these people as
they get the president Trump all right

agrees to cooperate he has to cooperate
about everything there's no such thing
as partial cooperation the question is
did he cooperate too late would he have
been better off cooperating before his
first trial I think he was perhaps
hoping for a pardon and then the
question comes up did the president act
too late if he was gonna pardon he'd
have been much better off pardoning
early rather than waiting until these
are ready corporate Kendyl your thoughts
on the pardon issue and the overall
development today with the manna fort
play well I doesn't look like a pardons
gonna happen Nana fort may have waited
for one hopefully and then decided he
had to throw in the towel but I I don't
agree that this is a major major event
manna fort really had no choice after he
lost the first trial and if indeed he
had the goods on the president don't you
think he would have been cooperating a
long time ago if he had that kind of
leverage if we look at this set of
criminal charges and compare it to
Michael Cohen now the Michael Cohen
charges it tried to take a name at the
present this doesn't do anything like
that and in fact if you look at the
charges rather than suggesting collusion
between the Trump campaign and Russia it
suggests collusion between manna fort
and Democrats with respect to the
apparently allegedly illegal efforts to
lobby on behalf of Ukrainian government
forces yeah and before we get to the
struck page text Joe that you mentioned
briefly Greg Craig former Obama White
House Counsel for the first year the
administration he is now against there
weighing federal charges against him in
the Southern District of New York as an
unregistered foreign agent and against
his old law firm
Skadden Arps which full disclosure I
work for 20 years ago but that's an
interesting development for people who
haven't been following this they're
sucking up the perhaps the Podesta's
sucking up Greg Craig again none of it
related to Trump but it is related to
the idea of working on behalf of foreign
countries and not disclosing it so
where's the collusion there well there
is none for before President Trump and
his campaign there is plenty there for
the Democrats not only the derivation of
the dossier and the working with Russian
officials to generated through
Christopher steel but it was obvious and
that's why Podesta Tony Podesta had to
close his lobbying forum because they
had never registered his foreign agents
and that case was turned over and it's
now quite evident that the Southern
District of New York is investigating
both Gregory Craig for his role in the
undisclosed Ukraine work in the United
States and mr. Podesta this is all quite
good for the president because it makes
his point quite beautifully and I must
say some with some fashion this is this
is where the rubber meets the road there
never has been any evidence of collusion
by the President of the United States
and his campaign and actually the plea
by man afford today simply underscores
that yeah and it's not clear that Amana
Ford is cooperating on Trump could be
cooperating on the on the Greg Craig
Podesta issue instead I want to move on

investigation ongoing but this needs
Justice Department regular process
investigation or a special counsel
this is ridiculous the setting up a
pretext for for interviews of Trump
officials based on leaks that they
planted in the media so it's like this
it's a feedback loop in order to get to
get the Trump folks this this is this is
they called Trump an autocrat this is
this is maddening as I've been saying
for two years there was a brazen plot to
illegally exonerate Hillary Clinton in
the email case and then if she lost to
frame Donald Trump and that is exactly
what these texts are about whether or
not mr. struck and Lisa page and others
are indicted is certainly a question
people can debate but let me just say I
know that there is a grand jury underway
testimony is being taken about struck
page McCabe and others involved in this
case and the reason we know it is that
James Baker the former general counsel
of the FBI has turned state's evidence
and is fully cooperating with the
Inspector General and with the federal
grand jury I can assure you mr. Comey
has been very silent in recent weeks and
the reason is very simple he knows he's
