Just before Hurricane Florence hit the Carolinas this week, President Donald Trump sent one

North Carolina mayor a special surprise.

It was much appreciated by the mayor, who was preparing for a devastating natural disaster.

However, the liberal media has been all but silent about it, not wanting to draw attention

to anything positive and slamming the president instead.

Let's spread this everywhere!

The nation braced this week for the landfall of Hurricane Florence, with residents of the

Carolinas evacuating and preparing their homes for the worst.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump was diligently working to make sure that all necessary preparations

had been made before the storm hit in order to ensure the least amount of damage was incurred

as possible.

This included making sure that FEMA had all of the necessary resources, as well as local

authorities in the Carolinas.

Typically, the president will establish a line of communication with a state's governor

prior to an impending natural disaster in order to express the federal government's

support in lending a hand at the state level.

However, President Trump went one step further to make sure the people of North Carolina

receive everything they need in the wake of Hurricane Florence: He is apparently putting

in calls to local mayors, as well.

On Thursday, during a media briefing on the approach of Hurricane Florence, Wilmington

Mayor Bill Saffo's phone rang.

Initially, he declined the call, as he was understandably busy with hurricane preparations.

But, when the Washington, D.C., number called back once again, he knew that it was important,

so he answered.

However, it was not Saffo's representative in the House or the Senate calling to express

their support nor was it an official from FEMA calling to brief the mayor on protocol

with the storm fast approaching.

"It was the White House, and they said, 'The president would like to speak with

you,'" recalled Saffo.

To his surprise, the person on the other end of the line was none other than President

Donald Trump.

"He offered any kind of assistance at the federal level," Saffo said.

"He understands this is a pretty significant event for our community."

The storm's potential impact prompted President Donald Trump to make a surprise phone call

to Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo on Thursday afternoon.

Saffo said Trump called to assure him that the federal government is watching the storm,

and to open a line of communication if and when the Port City needs aid.

at the federal level," Mayor Saffo said.

"I am sure that we are going to need some of their assistance when this thing is over.

But he was very gracious, very concerned about what was happening here in the area.

And I just told him that I appreciated his telephone call and that we will be in touch."

Trump's administration has uncovered a frightening, and deadly, fact: the Department of Veterans

Affairs has been letting its hospitals hire doctors and nurses with revoked medical licenses!

Apparently this has been happening for the past 15 years.

Clearly, and for good reason, it violates federal laws.

In direct contradiction to a 1999 law that bars any VA from hiring a healthcare worker

whose licenses had been revoked in any state, in 2002 the VA distributed guidelines that

allowed its hospitals to hire doctors and nurses that had a license in one of the 50

states, even if they had, previously, been subject to a license revocation.

A report by USA Today starts out, "Veteran patients in imminent danger at VA hospital

in D.C., investigation finds."

That report goes on to explain that the conditions at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical

Center in Washington, D.C., are so dangerous that the agency's chief watchdog group actually

put out a report alerting patients about the issues at that organization.

Apparently multiple issues were found at that location, such as lack of critical supplies,

including bone material needed for knee replacement surgeries and tubes needed for kidney dialysis,

due to an ineffective inventory system.

Worse, perhaps, than the lack of an effective system was the fact that the inspector general

found that senior VA leaders knew about the problems for months but did nothing to rectify

it.

In addition to this finding, the investigators reviewed 25 sterile storage areas and found

that 18 of them were dirty.

These types of reports from the inspector general are, in fact, not commonly made, with

the last one having occurred in January 2015.

The Washington V.A.'s medical director, Brian Hawkins, has since been relieved of

his position and placed on administrative leave.

In addition to the immediate danger posed by these issues, there is the larger issue

of whether or not a government-run healthcare system, as promoted by many liberals, would

be able to provide quality healthcare to U.S. citizens.

If this V.A. debacle is any indication, it most certainly would not.

JUST IN: Donald Trump went rogue on Wednesday morning and called on his attorney general

to investigate Barack Hussein Obama.

President Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to pressure Attorney General Jeff

Sessions to open an investigation into the Obama administration over Russian meddling

in the 2016 election.

Trump expressed frustration that Democrats are not under investigation, as special counsel

Robert Mueller's probe into allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and

Russia heats up.

"Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration,

right up to January 20th, why aren't they the subject of the investigation?" Trump

wrote, according to The Hill.

"Why didn't Obama do something about the meddling?

Why aren't Dem crimes under investigation?

Ask Jeff Sessions!"

This comes one day after Trump took to Twitter to say that Obama and his Democrat minions

only became concerned about allegations of Russian interference into the 2016 election

after his upset victory.

Politico reported that Trump cited a quote from Obama himself as proof to back up this

assertion.

"'There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even

rig America's elections, there's no evidence that that has happened in the past or that

it will happen this time, and so I'd invite Mr. Trump to stop whining and make his case

to get votes,'" Trump wrote on Twitter, quoting comments Obama made during an October,

2016 press conference.

"The President Obama quote just before election.

That's because he thought Crooked Hillary was going to win and he didn't want to 'rock

the boat,'" Trump continued in a second post.

"When I easily won the Electoral College, the whole game changed and the Russian excuse

became the narrative of the Dems."

Despite his Treasury Secretary's attempts to revive trade talks with China, U.S. President

Donald Trump has reportedly told his aides to press ahead with a new round of tariffs

on an extra 200 billion U.S. dollars in Chinese products.

Citing sources familiar with the matter,.. Bloomberg reports that President Trump has

told his top trade advisors that he "wasn't concerned" about their impact on negotiations

with China.

With the public comment period for the new round of tariffs expiring last week, President

Trump said the duties will be imposed soon.

Pentagon Officials Had To Stop Trump From Tweeting Us Into A War - Duration: 3:36.

The last two weeks have been filled with new revelations that have come out of Bob Woodward's

new book, "Fear: Trump in the White House".

One of the revelations that we found out about this week is that the Pentagon actually had

to step in and prevent Donald Trump from sending out a tweet that they felt would have started

a war with North Korea.

To put that in its simplest terms, Donald Trump almost tweeted us into a war with North

Korea.

According to interviews that Woodward conducted for the book, this is what the tweet was going

to say, or something to that effect.

We're going to pull our dependents from South Korea, family members of the 28,000 people

there.

What this means is that Donald Trump was going to announce to the world that we're pulling

out all U.S. citizens from South Korea.

We weren't going to have any American blood over there on their soil, which would have

signaled, according to the Pentagon, to Pyongyang, that we are prepared to start bombing almost

immediately, as soon as we get those last Americans out.

They understood how Pyongyang and Kim Jong-un would interpret this tweet and stopped it.

Now the question I have about this entire story is, if Donald Trump's tweets are up

for review with anyone in the White House, then how the hell is all the crazy still getting

out?

I mean, we still have tweets from the President, before Kim Jong-un sent him the very nice

letter and now he loves him, where he was calling him little rocket man, and insulting

his physique, insulting his mental capabilities.

You didn't think any of that would start a war?

You just said, "No.

To hell with it.

We're going to let those go.

But, oh.

Don't say this thing that ..." Does Donald Trump hold his phone out and let everybody

see what he's about to tweet beforehand?

That, honestly, would not surprise me one bit, but it does beg the question as to how

all of the other crazy manages to get through if there is, in fact, some kind of filter

there, at the White House, preventing the worst of the worst from making it through.

Donald Trump is a nuclear disaster waiting to happen.

We already know that he's now trying to get pissed off at North Korea again, but they

understand how to play him.

All you have to do is be nice to him, say good things, and he'll never bomb you.

The same can't be said of the leadership in Iran or Syria.

Any other country that Donald Trump may be on the verge of wanting to bomb.

'Cause we also know, from this book, that he had considered wiping out the entire government

in Syria.

We know that the administration is actually, actively, pushing for a new conflict with

Iran.

So, what's going to stop Donald Trump from tweeting us into a war with one of those countries?

What's to stop him from tweeting us into a war with North Korea, if his tweet advisor

from the Pentagon doesn't happen to be in the room when he decides to say something

incredibly stupid, foolish, and crazy?

This all points back to the 25th Amendment.

Donald Trump not only cannot be trusted, but he is so mentally incompetent that he needs

to be removed from office before he tweets his way into World War III.

Because we, the citizens of the United States are going to be the ones paying the price

for that.

Trump will be just fine either way.

The rest of us, though, can't say the same.

Trump Is "Freaked Out" And "Obsessed" With Finding White House Op Ed Author - Duration: 4:21.

According to a new report by Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman who has multiple sources within

the White House, Donald Trump is still freaked out and obsessed with last week's New York

Times op-ed written by an anonymous White House staffer.

See, ever since that op-ed came out, Donald Trump has been ranting and raving like a madman,

trying to figure out who in his administration would do such a thing.

He has called on Jeff Sessions to investigate it.

According to other reports he's kind of isolated himself.

He's not talking to anybody because he doesn't know who he can trust, but when he is talking

to people he's trying to rule out who may have been the author of the op-ed.

It is driving him absolutely nuts according to sources within the White House.

Those are the words they used.

They used freaked out, obsessed and according to Don, Jr. himself, he's actually worried

that his father's not sleeping anymore because he's staying up all night worrying about who

wrote the op-ed.

The biggest issue with this op-ed, and this is the one that Trump is annoying, is not

the fact that it was written, it's the fact that some other people, not Donald Trump,

are trying to run the government.

That's what Trump needs to be concerned about.

The fact that he's so dangerously incompetent that we have these non elected people who

feel it's their responsibility to step in and prevent him from doing horrible things.

He's not worried about the content.

He's worried about who said it, and I think we need to understand that very clear distinction.

He was mad at first about what was said in it, but he spent so little time trying to

refute any of it, and instead focusing on the identify of the author, that it almost

lends more credence to what is said in that op-ed.

But again, everything about this whole situation is absolutely bonkers at this point.

If White House Staff really are taking things off the President's desk and switching them

out with other papers, trying to distract him or taking stuff so he can't see it and

understand it, that's a big deal.

Not just because of how crazy the President is, but we also have these unelected people

who have become the defacto leaders of our government, and that is also dangerous.

They're not leading a resistance.

They said they agree with most of what Trump's done, the deregulation, the immigration crackdown,

all of that.

They support all of these horrible right wing policies.

They just don't like the craziness that comes along with Donald Trump.

These are still dangerous people.

They're not part of the resistance as they claimed in the op-ed, but the only silver

lining on this is that it's making Donald Trump go even crazier than usual.

Hopefully, as time ticks on, he'll find out who the author is.

I think we should know.

I think he should find out.

And I hope that it is somebody very close to him, and that he understands that no matter

how much you threaten people, how much you try to keep them close to you and control

them, you can never actually take away somebody's own free will.

At this point I'm going for personal.

I hope that it hurts him personally when he finally discovers the identity of whoever

it is wrote that op-ed.

Yeah, maybe that's a little sadistic.

Maybe it's a little immature, but at this point all the damage that this man has caused

to this country, the lives he's destroyed with his immigration policies and his deregulation

and all of that.

Yeah, I think it's fair to say that I don't care if he finds out who it is and it hurts

his feelings or makes him never want to trust anyone ever again.

Because at this point, that's what that guy deserves.
