Vows Immediate Immigration Change After New York Attack

President Donald Trump is taking a harder approach to immigration following two recent

terrorist attacks in New York City.

The day after a botched bombing attempt by an Islamic radical from Bangladesh, the president

on Tuesday called for an end to chain migration and the visa lottery program.

Were gonna end both of them, he said at the White House.

Were going to end them.

Fast.

Congress must get involved immediately, and they are involved immediately, and I can

tell you we have tremendous support.

Arguing the system poses a threat to national security, the president demanded Congress

end immigration preferences for family members of legal U.S. residents, which is how chain

migration typically works.

The announcement comes after 27-year-old Akayed Ullah a Bangladeshi immigrant who was

living in the United States allegedly attempted to detonate a bomb in the New York

subway system.

The bomb did not go off as planned, resulting in only minor injuries for several people

standing nearby.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, Ullah is a legal permanent resident and was

able to enter the country seven years ago on a visa for children of siblings of U.S.

citizens, The Hill reported.

He reportedly told law enforcement he was inspired by the Islamic State group.

The Monday bombing closely follows another terrorist attack in Manhattan that occurred

in late October.

On October 31, Habibullaevic Saipov allegedly drove a rental truck onto a bike path in Lower

Manhattan, killing eight people and injuring around a dozen others while shouting, Allahu

akbar.

Saipov is from Uzbekistan, but has been living in the U.S since 2010.

Law enforcement later found a note where he had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror, New York City Mayor

Bill de Blasio stated after the attack, aimed at innocent civilians, aimed at people going

about their lives who had no idea what was about to hit them.

Trump called for an end to the visa lottery program after it was discovered Saipov was

able to immigrate into the country through those means.

At the time, the president derided Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who represents

the state of New York, for being a supporter of the visa lottery.

As Trump noted, the White House has expressed interest in transitioning the U.S. immigration

system into a merit-based program.

The president has demanded the termination of the visa lottery program and chain immigration

as part of a crackdown on soft immigration policies in exchange for a legislative fix

for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, something members of Congress are

currently debating.

We Need Our Military: Trump Signs New Budget Into Law

President Donald Trump signed into law Tuesday the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act,

which authorizes a $700 billion military budget.

This historic legislation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to our men and women

in uniform the greatest fighting force in the history of the world, Trump said

at the signing ceremony.

This legislation represents a momentous step in rebuilding our military and securing

our future for our children.

However, this new budget wont be put in play until lawmakers roll back the 2011 legislation

that restricts federal spending.

With this law still currently in place, defense spending is capped at $549 billion, The Associated

Press reported.

Now Congress must finish the job by eliminating the defense sequester and passing a clean

appropriations bill, Trump stated.

I think its going to happen.

We need our military.

Congress has until Dec. 22 to come up with a broader government funding bill or risk

a partial government shutdown.

For the budget bill, Republicans want an increase in military funding and Democrats want equal

increases in both Pentagon and domestic non-defense programs, according to CBS News.

In his speech, Trump asked the Democrats in Congress to drop their shutdown threats

and descend clean funding and a clean funding bill to my desk that fully funds our great

military.

Protecting our country should always be a bipartisan issue, just like todays legislation,

he said.

The NDAA also gives troops a 2.4 percent pay raise.

At the signing ceremony, Trump took the time to address the two terror attacks that have

hit New York City this year, pointing out that the first attacker came to America through

the visa lottery and the other through chain migration.

The lottery system and chain migration were going to end them fast, he

said.

The 2018 defense bill allots $634 billion for basic defense funding, and the remaining

$66 billion for overseas operations.

The legislation authorizes the military to purchase 90 Lockheed Martin F-35 fighter jets

and 14 Navy ships, according to the Washington Examiner.

The Missile Defense Agency has been allocated $12.3 billion, as America continues the campaign

to create maximum pressure on the vile dictatorship in North Korea, Trump said.

As well as an increased budget for the training of U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria, the new

bill also blocks any attempt to move anyone held at the military prison at Guantanamo

Bay, Cuba, to the U.S.

This legislation will enhance our readiness, expand our modernized and modernize our

forces, and help provide our service members with the tools that they need to fight and

to win.

We will fight and win, Trump said.

But hopefully, with this, we wont have to fight because people will not be wanting

to fight with us.

Trump Judicial Nominee Can't Answer Basic Questions About The Law In Disastrous Hearing - Duration: 2:30.

Trump Judicial Nominee Can't Answer Basic Questions About The Law In Disastrous Hearing

One of President Donald Trump's nominees for a lifetime appointment as a U.S. district

court judge struggled to answer basic questions about the law during a confirmation hearing

on Thursday.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), had just five minutes to question the five Trump appointees.

First, he asked if any of them had not tried a case to verdict in a courtroom.

When Matthew Spencer Petersen, a nominee for U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia,

raised his hand, Kennedy focused mostly on him for the duration of his time.

Petersen, a commissioner on the Federal Election Commission who was appointed by President

George W. Bush, had none of the experience typically expected of a federal judge, a fact

that quickly became clear during the questioning.

KENNEDY: As a trial judge, you're obviously going to have witnesses.

Can you tell me what the Daubert standard is?

PETERSEN: Sen. Kennedy, I don't have that readily at my disposal but I would be happy

to take a closer look at that.

That is not something I've had to contend with.

KENNEDY: Do you know what a motion in limine is?

PETERSEN: Yes..

I haven't, I'm, again, my background is not in litigation as when I was replying to

Chairman (Chuck) Grassley (R-Iowa), I haven't had to um, again, do a deep dive.

Petersen then began ticking off his experience "in a decision-making role" at the FEC.

Kennedy interrupted him:

KENNEDY: Yes, I've read your resume.

Just for the record, do you know what a motion in limine is?

PETERSEN: I would probably not be able to give you a good definition right here at the

table.

KENNEDY: Do you know what the Younger abstention doctrine is?

PETERSEN: Um, I've heard of it... but I, again.

KENNEDY: How about the Pullman abstention doctrine?

PETERSEN: I...

I heard...

KENNEDY: Y'all see that a lot in federal court.

Prior to the hearing, Kennedy slammed some of Trump's judicial nominees, saying the

president was "getting some very, very bad advice."

BREAKING NEWS – TRUMP JUST DID IT! Obama Ready To Start A RIOT! MK Today - Duration: 4:57.

BREAKING NEWS – TRUMP JUST DID IT!

Obama Ready To Start A RIOT!

President Donald Trump is on a mission to make America great again and has been actively

doing that daily since taking office one year ago.

The overhaul of changes has not gone over well with his detractors, especially his predecessor,

Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama worked hard to destroy our country, especially in one particularly sick way that

Trump could not ignore.

He just made a massive change for the betterment of those who deserve it most, much to the

discontent of Obama and the Democrat party.

It's only a matter of time now before the racist rioters take the streets and start

destroying things to get what they feel they're deserved.

Not on Trump's watch!

The military was greatly diminished and disregarded under Obama who repeatedly proved that he

has zero respect for these brave men and women and the important sacrifice they make in protecting

our nation.

For eight years, Obama did everything he could to diminish our military's capabilities

and disrespect our soldiers.

His disdain for them and disregard for their sacrifice evident in everything he did from

making them scrap for aircraft replacement parts in a junkyard to reducing them to his

personal servants who hold his umbrella.

All this was going on while he was giving hoards of American cash to our enemies, making

them stronger while weakening our defense against them.

We're now seeing what a difference a patriotic president makes.

Among the most important Americans in this country to our president and first family

who have repeatedly proved it, are our military members and their families.

Both Donald and Melania have made great effort to show their appreciation for these heroes,

every chance they get.

This latest move is probably Trump's biggest yet and our Service Members and their families

certainly deserve it a lot more than welfare gluttons do who Obama catered to.

Conservative Tribune reports:

While former President Obama dramatically downsized our military, President Donald Trump

has delivered on his promise to dramatically change American soldiers' lives for the

better.

On Tuesday, Trump signed into law the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act, a $700

billion defense budget that will dramatically increase military spending and capabilities.

The massive budget increase will give American soldiers the largest pay raise in more than

seven years.

According to American Military News, the budget signed by Trump will give U.S. troops a 2.4

percent pay raise and create additional opportunities for employment in the military to ensure America

continues to have the strongest military in the world.

"This legislation represents a momentous step toward rebuilding our military and securing

the future for our children," Trump said Tuesday at the White House while signing the

measure into law, according to the Washington Examiner.

"I applaud the work of the members of both parties who came together to pass the National

Defense Authorization Act, which passed with overwhelming bipartisan support— something

that sounds very nice to my ears."

Trump's timing on this was no coincidence.

He wanted to ensure the best for our military in the wake of another terrorist attack on

our soil, knowing that they are crucial to protecting our nation from this threat that

his predecessor brought here.

That comes at no small cost or sacrifice and he does not spare anything when it comes to

protecting America and taking care of those whose job it is to do that.

"In the wake of the failed terrorist attack in New York on Monday, Trump stressed the

importance of ensuring the U.S. is fully capable of protecting itself from operations such

as the one carried out by a radical Islamic terrorist," Conservative Tribune continued.

"These attacks underscore the dangers we face from around the globe, the National Defense

Authorization Act could not come at a more opportune or important time," Trump said.

"History teaches us that when you weaken your defenses, you invite aggression.

The best way to prevent conflict of any kind is to be prepared.

Only when the good are strong will peace prevail."

This also comes at a time when we're on the brink of World War III which will be brought

on by North Korea's improved ballistic missiles that have the capability of reaching America.

There are still a few of Obama's hurdles he has to cross before the funds can be freed

up, which were probably put there by him on purpose.

"NDAA sets the budget but does not provide funding, which Congress must do.

Trump urged Congress to pass legislation that will fund the defense budget," American

Military News pointed out.

"Now Congress must finish the job by eliminating the defense sequester and passing a clean

appropriations bill," Trump said, according to the Washington Examiner.

"I think it's gonna happen.

We need our military, it's gotta be perfecto."

Trump has built our military back up to its former glory before Barack Obama stepped in

to destroy it, just as he promised he would when he vowed to always support them.

Trump Social media the only way for me to 'get the truth out' - Duration: 3:18.

Trump: Social

media the only way for me to 'get the truth out'

President Trump

in an early morning tweet on Wednesday said that his use of social of media is "the only

way to get the truth out," adding that the mainstream media is a "joke."

"Wow, more than 90% of Fake News Media coverage of me is negative, with numerous forced retractions

of untrue stories.

Hence my use of Social Media, the only way to get the truth out.

Much of Mainstream Media has become a joke!" the president tweeted, tagging "Fox and Friends."

The president was referring a media research study that was cited on "Fox and Friends"

on Wednesday morning.

Relations between the administration and the media have worsened in recent days after the

White House hit journalists for a series of corrections made by media outlets such as

CNN and ABC News.

The president slammed the two outlets during a campaign rally in Florida on Friday after

CNN was forced to correct a report saying Donald Trump Jr. had received access to hacked

Democratic emails from WikiLeaks more than a week before they were leaked to the public.

ABC News had previously reported that former national security adviser Michael Flynn would

testify that Trump had directed him to make contact with the Russians during the campaign,

which they later corrected, saying it had happened after the election.

"Did you see all of the correction the media has been making?" Trump said.

"They've been doing that all year.

They never apologize.

Maybe that comes with being the president, I don't know."

The president also targeted Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel on Saturday, calling

for the publication to fire him after he tweeted a photo of an empty arena before a Trump rally

in Florida that had been taken hours before the event started.

Weigel apologized for the tweet, which he had deleted after Daily Mail political editor

David Martosko told him he had gotten it wrong.

Tensions boiled over in the White House press briefing on Monday, in which press secretary

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said media outlets were "purposely putting out information that

you know to be false."

Its not an honest mistake when you are purposely putting out information that you

know to be false or when youre taking information that hasnt been validated, that hasnt

been offered any credibility and that has been continually denied by a number of people,

including people with direct knowledge of an incident, she said during a heated exchange

with reporters.
