Trump Was Right About Puerto Rico…Massive Gov't Financial Scandal Erupts.

According to Bloomberg, Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rossello requested that federal taxpayers

pay $94 billion towards a federal aid package to help the territory recover from the devastation

it suffered due to Hurricanes Maria.

When the federal aid package was first put together in November, it was estimated that

$31 billion of the funds would go toward rebuilding homes and $18 billion would go toward repairing

electric utilities.

"The scale and scope of the catastrophe in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane

Maria knows no historic precedent," Rossello wrote.

"We are calling upon your administration to request an emergency supplemental appropriation

bill that addresses our unique unmet needs with strength and expediency."

However, Rossello turned around and spent $100 million on government employees' Christmas

bonuses!

Oh, but all is well, because according to a Washington Times report, Rossello's aides

say the budget for the bonuses had been approved before Hurricane Maria ripped through Puerto

Rico, so…you know…

Nevertheless, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), a member of the House committee with oversight

over Puerto Rico, told the Washington Times, "Puerto Rico has demonstrated time and time

again that its government is incapable of responsibly handling its finances.

This is yet another such instance."

Additionally, Puerto Rico's financial oversight board, which was established by Congress in

2016 to bail the territory out of defaulting on its debt, is of the same opinion as McClintock

and those of us who actually have hearts and brains.

The board issued a letter on Nov. 27, signed by Chairman Jose B. Carrion, stating that

the bonuses were "imprudent" and said Rossello should rethink his allocation of

government funds.

"While the Oversight Board shares in your desire to recognize public employees who have

gone above and beyond in aiding recovery efforts across the island, to do so in a way that

increases the liquidity strain on the commonwealth at this time puts the public at risk and demonstrates

a lack of fiscal discipline," the board said in its letter.

Democrats Threaten to Boycott NAACP Museum Opening, So Trump Makes a Classy Accommodation

President Donald Trump participated in a private event, rather than the public one, after his

upcoming attendance at the opening of Mississippis Civil Rights Museum sparked controversy.

Many noteworthy civil rights leaders had decided to boycott the event, and local groups planned

to protest when it was announced that Trump had accepted an invitation to the opening,

according to NBC.

Instead, the White House worked with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History to have

Trump tour the museum and speak at a private ceremony, after which the public ceremony

would be held.

I think this was a diplomatic effort that will help solve this issue, Former Mississippi

congressman Mike Espy told NBC.

Trump spoke at the private ceremony Saturday morning about what the museum means for the

country and how it records history.

These buildings embody the hope that has lived in the hearts of every American for

generations, Trump said.

The hope in a future that is more just and more free.

Many of the museum workers were not aware that Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant had extended

an invitation to Trump.

The fact that the governor of Mississippi invited him was sort of a surprise to us on

the committee, Espy said.

We didnt find out that the president had agreed to come until two or three days

ago.

After the announcement, speakers and other attendees dropped out of the event due to

their belief that Trump stands in opposition to what the museum represents, NBC reported.

Civil rights leaders and Democrat Congressmen John Lewis and Bennie Thompson said they would

boycott the opening because of Trumps participation.

President Trumps attendance and his hurtful policies are an insult to the people

portrayed in this civil rights museum, they said in a joint statement.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded, We think its unfortunate

that these members of Congress wouldnt join the president in honoring the incredible

sacrifice civil rights leaders made to right the injustices in our history.

According to NBC, Myrlie Evers-Williams, a civil rights activist and wife of activist

Medgar Evers until his assassination, still planned to attend the event, but not the private

ceremony.

Despite the efforts of the White House and the Mississippi Department of Archives and

History to please everyone, about 100 demonstrators stood a few blocks away to protest Trumps

presence.

USCIS immigration processing delays: "Trump effect" - Duration: 10:54.

This is Fred Wahl the VisaCoach

Today's topic is: the Trump Effect, Immigration Slowdowns due

to President Trumps policy of Immigration Restrictionism

Visa Coach

Fast, Easy and Personal

I am Fred Wahl, the VisaCoach, I am known for the

personal one-on-one relationship that WE share, (that's you, me and your partner), as WE work

together, as a TEAM, to overcome the many challenges

of immigration,

Don't risk your happiness, Don't go this course alone.

Alone, it's far too easy to make mistakes that cause tears,

delays and expensive denials.

Do Pick up the Phone and speak with me directly, so that,

you and I, can get to know each other.

This is the free introductory consultation I talk about later.

If we are compatible, that's the beginning of our beautiful

relationship to get you the immigration approvals you need.

This is what two of my clients Jim and Karen, had to say:

Karen comes from Philippines and I helped her get her Fiance visa.

Their case was more complicated than most, as they had never

met face to face before her arrival to the USA.

And I helped them successfully apply for a waiver from the in-person

meeting requirement.

This morning, as my wife and I were driving to a social

event we began reminiscing about our courtship days across

continents and how supremely pleased and surprised we were to be together.

It has been 1.5 years since Karen flew here from Manila.

We knew we had more than a few "red flag" areas and

one which seemed nearly insurmountable, yet with your expertise

it did happen.

Karen and I want to once again acknowledge how good it was

to have you working on our side through every step knowing

that our best efforts to get a the Visa were being handled

with experience and consistency of process.

As the political focus continues to place downward pressures

on immigration here in the United States, we feel it is

even more important to have someone like you increasing

the odds of the desired outcome.

(to be together)

We feel sad for those who may not have the chance we do

and want them to know you are one of a kind.

With Gratitude,

You are most welcome Jim and Karen

Now, lets talk about the Trump Effect, how Immigration processing times

are getting longer due to President Trumps policy of Immigration Restrictionism

Fiance visa, spouse visa and adjustment of status applications all

first go through USCIS. last year about this time USCIS was

performing very quickly to accomplish their initial processing

of cases.

In general fiance and spouse visa cases consistently zoomed through the USCIS review in roughly

two to three months.

Green cards sometimes took 7 to 9 months and often the

Green Card interviews (especially front loaded VisaCoach applications)

were waived.

Now one year into the presidency of Donald Trump all cases

are experiencing huge delays in processing times, taking

2 to 3 times as long.

I call this the Trump effect.

President Trump has mandated that USCIS vigorously enforce and administer immigration laws, take

no short cuts.

The goal is to restrict Legal immigration while stopping illegal immigration.

"We have to get much tougher, much smarter, and less

politically correct," Trump said.

What this means is that they are very closely examining

and scrutinizing all cases looking for reasons to deny.

In addition cases that regularly had their interviews

waived now specifically there is an Executive order that no interviews

regardless of the strength of their evidences, may be waived.

The result is USCIS has more work to do, has more

bases to touch in the processing of EACH case.

And while President Trump has promised to hire more staff to handle

the increased load, so far no new staff has been hired, but the

workload has increased.

This is the Trump Effect.

More work, with same staff.

The result is that USCIS processing times for fiance

and spouse visas have stretched to take at least 5 to 7 months.

This compares very unfavorably to the 2 to 3 months processing times

we enjoyed in 2016 and early 2017.

Conditional and Permanent Green Cards that used to take 7 to 9 months for approval,

now often take over a year.

USCIS previously had the policy that fiance or spouse cases

should be completely processed through their system within

five months.

That was their official policy for complete processing.

In the case your case was delayed past 5 months you could

call and speak with an USCIS operator who would

take action once you reported your case as "past the policy for

processing time".

The operator would flag your case so that it could catch up.

Today that's not what happens.

Calling after 5 months one reaches a harried operator who is stressed,

whose polite professional manner has disappeared.

This is because the operators now are overwhelmed with calls

from people constantly complaining about delays.

And even if your case is over the 5 months official policy,

currently the operator takes no action except to tell you

"be patient" and "if you must call back, please wait 3 to 6

months more, before calling again".

There might be light at the end of the tunnel.

This is because at the same time that President Trump ordered

USCIS to work harder he also promised to hire 10,000 more officers.

Unfortunately for you, the Fiance or Spouse visa or Green Card

applicant, while the workload increased immediately, and because

of that the case backlogs started to grow, no new

staff was actually hired.

Eventually, perhaps USCIS Staffing may increase and when

this happens hopefully processing times will speed up.

That will help if the amount of work demanded does not also

continue to grow.

On the table are proposals for additional and more time consuming case review steps.

US immigration is seriously considering requiring for each

case a thorough review of the applicants social media presence,

via Social Media Data Mining as well as "EXTREME"

Vetting such as surrender of cell phones and user ids and

passwords.

These proposals of course would add for more tasks and actions

for USCIS to accomplish and could easily wipe out gains made

by a gradual hiring program.

Sorry, but I don't imagine that processing times will improve

any time soon.

We have three more years of the Trump Presidency I anticipate he will continually mandate more

work to be accomplished in vetting all visa and green

card candidates.

While a promise has been made to hire adequate staff to accommodate

the increased demands on Homeland Security, there is already

opposition in Congress to delay and hinder the hiring efforts.

More work, same staff, means more delays.

And as the in-box of each USCIS reviewer gets piled higher,

the processing times will increase.

This probably won't materially improve until a new President is in office, and the official

policy of "immigration restriction ism" is changed.

What can you do?

Well it will get worse before it gets better.

Until then, your best path is to work with me to submit your

well crafted, "front loaded" application, just as soon as

you can.

Then follow the advice of "a watched pot never boils"

by ignoring the calendar and patiently waiting for your visa

or green card to be approved.

Less Than 1 Year After Trump Took Office, Iraq Declares Victory - Duration: 3:47.

Less Than 1 Year After Trump Took Office, Iraq Declares Victory Over ISIS

For a major chunk of the past administration, Barack Obama struggled with trying to defeat

the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.

In less than one year after Donald Trump has taken office, the nation of Iraq has declared

victory over the terrorist group.

According to The Washington Post, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced an end

to the war against the Islamic State group, which once controlled and terrorized two-thirds

of the country.

This victory was achieved .? when Iraqis united to face a heinous enemy that didnt

want us to see this day, Abadi said at a press conference Saturday.

They wanted to return us back to the Dark Ages.

The final victory was achieved when, according to the Post, the rugged, sparsely populated

desert region bordering Syria has been cleansed of Islamic State fighters and that the porous

border that had underpinned the self-declared caliphate that straddled both countries has

been fully secured.

The turning point of the fight for control of Iraq was the nine-month battle for the

city of Mosul, which was won in July.

Mosul, an ancient city that was destroyed by both Islamic State rule and the nine-month

campaign to recapture it, was the last major stronghold of the terrorist group in the country.

However, pockets of resistance still remained throughout the country.

With Saturdays announcement, it appeared those pockets had finally been eliminated.

The fight against the Islamic State group was declared over in Syria by Iran and Russia

last month, although there are continued pockets of fighting there.

In a tweet, the U.S.-led global coalition congratulated the Iraqis on their triumph,

using an Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group.

The Coalition congratulate the people of Iraq on their significant victory against

Daesh (the Islamic State group).

We stand by them as they set the conditions for a secure and prosperous #futureiraq,

Less than one month ago, Defense Secretary James Mattis said that only 5 percent of the

terror groups infrastructure remained.

Our nations dedication to defeating the terrorist enemy is evident in the progress

we have made since our last gathering here 95 percent of the territory once held

by ISIS is now liberated, and our partners continue to secure more each day, Mattis

said.

Mosul, Tal Afar and Hawijah have been liberated; efforts to liberate the final pockets

of ISIS-held territory in Anbar province are progressing rapidly.

What a difference a year and a political will to defeat the terrorist group makes.

Trump Brings Down the House With Reagan Style Declaration About - Duration: 4:01.

Trump Brings Down the House With Reagan-Style Declaration About God

President Donald Trump has been compared to former President Ronald Reagan on several

key issues, but what Trump said on Friday night really had supporters fired up.

During a campaign-style rally in Pensacola, Florida, Trump brought down the house with

a Reagan-esque declaration about God and big government.

In his speech, Trump said protecting religious liberty has been a top priority for his

administration, adding that getting rid of the Johnson amendment will be another

big step forward.

As noted by The New York Times, the Johnson amendment is a decades-old provision in the

U.S. tax code prohibiting non-profit institutions including churches from making political statements

and endorsements.

The amendment is repealed in the current version of the GOP tax reform plan.

Trump then launched into a portion of his speech that attracted a huge applause and

reaction from the audience.

We have stopped the government attacks on our Judeo-Christian values, Trump said,

because we know that families and churches, not government officials, know best how to

create a strong and loving community.

He continued: And above all else, we know this, America doesnt worship government,

we worship God.

Trumps comments drew such a loud response from the crowd that he literally couldnt

talk until the noise had subsided.

Check out a portion of his speech below.

The key line comes about the 55-second mark.

rumps bold comments on God being greater than the liberal idea of worshipping the government

is eerily similar to statements made by Reagan decades ago.

On Jan. 20, 1981, Reagans first inaugural address took dead aim at eviscerating the

notion of big government

In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is

the problem, Reagan said, summing up in one sentence the conservative ideas that got

him elected.

During another speech, on Aug. 23, 1984, to the Dallas Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast, Reagan

spoke about the importance of the United States remaining committed to the word of God.

Without God, there is no virtue, because theres no prompting of the conscience And

without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure.

If we ever forget that were one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under,

he said.

While former President Barack Obama thought it was important to talk about rising sea

levels and allowing men to use womens restrooms, real leaders like Trump and Reagan have energized

the country by speaking about the importance of faith and families over government intrusion.

As Reagan did during his presidency, Trump has made it clear that he will promote faith,

reduce government, and fight for Christians in America.

Unlike Obama, Trump has made it clear that he will stand up for Christians and celebrate

God.

God and not government!
