Trump-Hating World Cup Skier Bashes The President, Gets Brutal Karma 2 Days Later
American world-class skier Lindsey Vonn recently bashed President Donald Trump during an interview
with CNN and said she would "absolutely not" accept an invitation to the White House
if she makes the Olympic skiing team.
Less than a week later, Vonn got a dose of brutal karma.According to Fox News, Vonn gave
an interview to the "fake news" network CNN last week during which she was asked if
she would accept an invitation to the White House if she were to become a member of the
2018 Olympic Skiing team.
Her response was nothing less than disgraceful, leaving many to think that she may have provoked
bad karma considered to be the "Trump curse."
"Absolutely not," said Vonn.
"No.
But I have to win to be invited.
No, actually I think every US team member is invited so no I won't go," Vonn added.
Only two days later Vonn was competing in a World Cup super-G race in Switzerland and
suffered a serious back injury and barely crossed the finish line in 24th place.
Spectators watched as Vonn slumped to the snow as she finished the run in obvious distress.
Vonn reportedly stayed in the finish house for treatment, and one hour later she struggled
slowly to walk to a waiting car just before leaving the St. Moritz ski course.
Vonn's father, Alan Kildow had reportedly told The Associated Press that his daughter
was "OK."
Later, Vonn tweeted that she had suffered an "acute facet (spinal joint) dysfunction:
and would wait until Sunday to decide to continue the super=G competition.
Perhaps Vonn's streak of bad luck had something to do with her anti-Trump rant that aired
on CNN two days earlier.
When Vonn was questioned about her disgraceful comments on Friday, she said, "I was asked
my opinion and I gave it.
I mean, it's not necessarily my place to be sticking my nose in politics, but as an
athlete, I do have a voice."
Vonn had told CNN that she hoped to compete in the Feb 9-25 Pyeongchang Winter Games in
South Korea but only "to represent the people of the United States, not the president."
However, there are certainly many Americans who don't want her representing them.
President Donald Trump works diligently every day to clean up the colossal mess left behind
by former President Barack Obama and his administration.
He's doing a tremendous job of boosting our economy and holding government agencies
accountable for their past transgressions against the American people.
Why on earth would Vonn want to go out of her way during an interview with a major media
outlet to take a cheap shot like that?
Could it be because Vonn is a brainwashed liberal?
Her following comments indicate as much.
On Friday, Vonn said that she admired athlete activists such as Colin Kaepernick who started
the national anthem protests in the NFL.
Kaepernick is no longer employed as even a practice squad quarterback in the NFL and
has become the poster child for social injustice.
"People like Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe and Colin Kaepernick," Vonn said in
the post-race interview zone.
"There's definitely been a lot of people that have made their voice heard and made
a positive impact.
I'm not trying to be negative in any way, I'm trying to be positive," said the 33-year-old
Vonn, who ranks among the top women skiers of all time.
"All those people have made a positive impact and hopefully my message does as well,"
she added.Lindsey Vonn took one last jab when she said, "I want to represent our country
well.
I don't think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that."
Vonn may have a point in there because our government is still saturated with Obama holdovers
who do nothing but get in the way of progress.
However, I'm sure that's not what she meant.
Perhaps Vonn should stick to skiing and leave the politics out of it.
These athletes never seem to learn.
