Trump news on Youtube Nov 25 2017

The efforts in Afghanistan to combat terrorism have been hobbled since President Obama ordered

the withdrawal of tens of thousands of American troops.

President Trump is addressing that matter, and his efforts are being hailed by military

experts.

In August, President Trump announced a new military strategy for Afghanistan involving

3,000 additional US troops.

According to The Daily Mail, four-star General John Nicholson Jr. said the strategy would

be successful.

"We are still in a stalemate," he said, but noted the strategy included "all the

conditions to win."

The 3,000 additional troops would increase the Afghan-positioned US forces to a total

of 11,000.

The strategy is a measure to bolster the efforts in Afghanistan, which have suffered in recent

years.

The presence of US forces in Afghanistan has declined drastically since 2011 when it had

100,000 troops assigned there.

Then, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said of the strategy: "This entire effort is

intended to put pressure on the Taliban, to have the Taliban understand 'you will not

win a battlefield victory.'"

The extra troops could strengthen the US-backed Afghanistan government to put enough pressure

on the Taliban to finally push them to peace negotiations.

The withdrawal of US forces has allowed the Taliban to broaden their hold on territory

in the face of a weak Afghan government.

"'This change in policy has reversed this decline that we've been in since 2011,"

Gen. Nicholson said.

He added that troops were withdrawn far too quickly.

"We communicated to the enemy that we had lost our will to win, and now with a new policy

as of August, we are going to win.

And winning means delivering a negotiated settlement that reduces the level of violence

and protecting the homeland."

Just a few months ago, President Trump was reportedly frustrated with the lack of progress

in Afghanistan and even considered firing Gen. Nicholson.

When he learned of the insufficient resources, he quickly released the strategy.

Gen. Nicholson said that President Trump has delivered "everything I asked for."

"We are only 90 days into this new policy," Gen. Nicholson added, "but with the US forces

that will be arriving; with the new authority that we have been given [to] put the pressure

on external enablers; with the fact that we are condition based and not time-based, we've

set all the conditions to win."

President Trump reportedly has full confidence in Gen. Nicholson's duties.

In a recent conference call to US soldiers positioned in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Bahrain,

and those stationed on USS Monterey, President Trump wished the soldiers a "Happy Thanksgiving"

and thanked them for their progress, which has been more successful against ISIS than

in numerous years of the Obama administration.

"We're not fighting anymore to just walk around, we're fighting to win," President

Trump said.

"We're being talked about again as an armed forces.

We're really winning."

He went on to tell the troops they were "very, very special people" to him and all of America.

"We totally support you.

In fact, we love you … You're in a very different part of the world than you're

used to but boy are you doing a job there, and thank God for you."

President Trump has expressed that the US military is one of his top priorities, and

his efforts continue to evidence that.

Hopefully, the latest strategy will help US forces help the Afghan government finally

see success as a result of their efforts and sacrifices.

Geraldo Rivera Backs Trump, Sends Direct On-Air Message to NFL Anthem Protesters - Duration: 2:29.

In a Friday appearance on Fox News' "Fox & Friends," Geraldo Rivera appeared to side

with President Donald Trump on an issue that has caused controversy since it began: that

of the NFL protests.

The protests — done by NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to speak out against

purported police brutality — was once again brought up by Trump on Friday in a Tweet.

"Can you believe that the disrespect for our Country, our Flag, our Anthem continues

without penalty to the players.

The Commissioner has lost control of the hemorrhaging league.

Players are the boss!" Trump's tweet read.

And Rivera seemed to share a similar opinion to the president when asked by "Fox & Friends"

co-host Pete Hegseth for his opinion on what the NFL protest issue means to Trump.

"The president senses that he's on the right side of history," Rivera said.

"And he's with the majority of Americans."

Rivera contended that "you can't say that about many, or too many other issues.

But on this one, I think, people just get the sense, you know, 'give it a rest.'"

"The world is not perfect," Rivera continued.

"We have plenty of issues — that's what I was trying to tweet out yesterday.

Let's put all of these divisions aside.

Let's just enjoy your family.

Enjoy the meal.

Enjoy freedom."

Rivera advised viewers to "Enjoy just the ability to have a conversation across the

table with someone that you love or, you know, someone who holds a different political viewpoint

than you do."

"Just cool it everybody," he said.

"Just chill."

Regarding the NFL protest issue, Rivera added, "That's why when I saw that one player

— the Giant defensive player there — kneeling.

I said, 'Now, what the heck, I mean, c'mon.'"

"'Can't you even on this day, on this day, can't we all be united?'" he asked.

Rivera was referring to New York Giants defensive end Oliver Vernon, who knelt during the national

anthem prior to Thursday night's NFL game against the Washington Redskins, according

to the Washington Examiner.

After noting that there are "plenty of things that divide" Americans, Rivera said, "whatever

your issue is, today of all days, just cool down."

Rivera concluded with a good-news/bad-news perspective on the issue.

"When you look at the bad news, the one guy protesting," he said, "the good news

is that he was the only one protesting, as far as we know."

BREAKING: Democrat Gets Devastating News, Trump Loves It - Duration: 3:39.

It turns out liberals and progressives within the Democrat Party are becoming disenchanted

with the state of the party and are thinking about fracturing off.

As reported by The Washington Times, progressives are trying to start a third political party.

If successful, it would split the left-leaning vote between the two parties and essentially

ensure Republican victories for many years to come.

A new group of liberal activists, disappointed with the state of the Democrat Party, had

their hopes on recruiting Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), to lead a new third political party.

Their hope is that the party would stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Republicans and Democrats.

Comprised of former staffers and volunteers of the Sanders campaign, the effort recently

changed its name from the "Draft Bernie for a People's Party" to "Movement for

a People's Party" (MPP).

"We are motivated to continue whether Bernie is prepared to join us yet or not by the fact

that a new party is inevitable in the United States," said Nick Brana, who founded the

effort and serves as its national director.

The MPP aims to bring together various progressive organizations, unions, and working people

in the hopes of consolidating resources and fielding a potential presidential candidate

in 2020.

"Presidential campaigns offer a unique ability to motivate wholesale, kind of across-the-board

political change by creating a down-ballot effect and by creating a very visible candidate

and platform that can help sweep in lower down-ballot candidates," Mr. Brana said.

Third parties have historically struggled to gain significant results in elections,

with the most successful campaign from an alternative party being Theodore Roosevelt's

Progressive ("Bull Moose") Party, which won 27.4 percent of the vote in the 1912 presidential

election.

However, Mr. Brana thinks otherwise.

"We think it is inevitable that we will see a new party in the U.S. because the electoral

opening is so vast and so large," he said.

"It is less of a question of whether someone is going to start a new party than it is who

is going to be the first to do it."

Part of his motivation comes from new polls that show more voters are identifying as independents,

and are more open to the idea of voting for a non-traditional party.

One survey from Gallup showed that 61 percent of voters say the nation should have a third

competitive major political party.

Another tracking poll showed that 42 percent of voters identified as an independent.

However, many experts recognize that the biggest hurdle in attempting to establish a third

party is that it stands unlikely to win the Presidency.

Political expert Charlie Cook said, "That is the ultimate prize, and as long as there

is a legitimate Democrat and legitimate Republican, it is impossible for a third party to get

a majority of Electoral College votes."

"There is no reason why you couldn't have a third party win House seats, Senate seats

and governorships — as they have rarely — but the thing is, nationally speaking,

the White House is the ultimate prize, and an independent cannot win in a three-way race,"

Cook added.

Should such a thing happen, the left-leaning vote would be divided between the traditional

Democrats and this newer progressive party, leaving neither with enough votes to contest

the undivided right-leaning vote – guaranteeing the victory of Republicans for many years,

if not decades, to come.

It's a development that the President, alongside with all conservatives across the nation,

would celebrate.

Trump's Thanksgiving Day message: Be very grateful. To him. - Duration: 4:50.

Trump's Thanksgiving Day message: Be very grateful. To him.

President Donald Trump is using his pardon power to keep a pair of turkeys from the Thanksgiving roaster. (Nov. 21).

Donald Trump pardons the turkey, Drumstick, as his son Barron, right, looks on during the turkey pardoning ceremony at the White House in Washington on Nov. 21. President Trump sent a Thanksgiving Day message to the nation Thursday: Its time to be very grateful.

In an early-morning tweet, Trump wrote: your Country is starting to do really well. Jobs coming back, highest Stock Market EVER, Military getting really strong, we will build the WALL, V.A.

taking care of our Vets, great Supreme Court Justice, RECORD CUT IN REGS, lowest unemployment in 17 years….!". More: Trumps in the White House, turkeys on the table: What to do if you dont want to talk politics.

Trump is celebrating Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, Fla. In a video conference with members of the military later in the morning, Trump praised and thanked troops for their service.

He also touted military advances under his leadership and told the troops, without elaborating, that they are now allowed to do things that previous administration did not allow them to do.

You're very, very special people, he said. You're fighting for something real, you're fighting for something good, he added. . Trump also told the troops that he's working on big, fat, beautiful tax cuts.

Earlier this week, Trump tweeted he was not getting enough credit for securing the release of three college basketball players arrested in China.

It wasn't the White House, it wasn't the State Department, it wasn't father LaVar's so-called people on the ground in China that got his son out of a long term prison sentence - IT WAS ME, he tweeted.

More: Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade under tight security. Following the conclusion of Trumps recent 12-day trip to Asia, he declared last week: My fellow citizens, America is back, and the future has never looked brighter.

Among the accomplishments Trump cited were his efforts to restore free and reciprocal trade and rallying world leaders against the dual threats of a nuclear-armed North Korea and radical Islamic terrorism.

The days of the United States being taken advantage of are over, he vowed, without announcing any new policy changes. Before leaving Washington for Mar-a-Lago, Trump delivered the traditional message of unity, thanks and blessings ahead of the holiday.

This Thursday as we give thanks for our cherished love ones, let us also renew our bonds of trust, loyalty and affection between our fellow citizens as members of a proud national family of Americans, he said in scripted remarks.

Millions of travelers will hit the road, board planes, and charter trains to get to their Thanksgiving destination. Sometimes the journey will be flawless, but you should e prepared for delays during this busy time of year.

Syrian Born Muslim Mayor From NJ From Declares War On Trump, But It Immediately Blows Up In His Face - Duration: 3:22.

It's not exactly shocking that Mohamed Khairullah, the Syrian-born Mayor of Prospect Park, would

declare his city is a Sanctuary City.

He's a Democrat, a Muslim and an immigrant himself.

This is sure to give him political capital within the Democratic Party.

He actually comes from Aleppo.

He wants as many refugees and illegal immigrants to come in as possible… which you, of course,

would do if you wanted to invade a country from within.

He refuses to enforce federal immigration law and is in direct defiance of President

Trump.

This guy has been the mayor of that city since 2006.

New Jersey has had major problems with Muslims who want Shariah law instituted in the schools

there and throughout the state.

He claims he wants the laws upheld and in a massively hypocritical move… ignores them.

The heightened profile for Khairullah, a former teacher in the Paterson public schools who

worked at Office Depot, represents growing political power for Muslims in New Jersey

politics.

In fact, the whole state anymore seems to bow before Islam.

From Observer New Jersey Politics:

Watch for the political stock of Mohamed Khairullah, the Syrian-born Mayor of Prospect Park, to

rise in Democratic circles after he signed an executive order on Friday that declared

the Passaic County borough of 5,865 a sanctuary for immigrants.

Hailing from Aleppo, which has become synonymous with the worst violence of the long Syrian

civil war and has thus created tens of thousands of refugees, Khairullah immigrated to the

United States in 1991, was elected Councilman in 2001, and has been the Mayor since 2006.

According to the order, "No department, committee, agency, commission, officer or

employee of the Borough of Prospect Park shall use any Borough funds or resources to assist

in the enforcement of Federal Immigration Law."

Khairullah directly refers to his own past in explaining why he signed the order: "It

is important to me as a person who came to the U.S as an immigrant, that we uphold our

laws and values," he said Saturday, according to NJ.com.

"The U.S is the land of opportunity and dreams for many people all over the world."

The heightened profile for Khairullah, a former teacher in the Paterson public schools who

worked at Office Depot, represents growing political power for Muslims in New Jersey

politics.

Seven weeks ago, Passaic County elected its first Muslim Freeholder when Assad Akhter,

a deputy chief of staff to US Rep. Bill Pascrell and the son of Pakistani immigrants, took

the seat of Hector Lora.

Lora resigned to become Mayor of Passaic.

President Trump will indeed pull funds from that city and he should.

In fact, they are violating the law and I would say that if you do that, you should

be arrested and prosecuted for it.

It's just that simple.

Khairullah joins the ranks of other New Jersey mayors, such as Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and

Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, who have vowed to continue to protect immigrants.

Good luck with that.

The mayor of this city is a very nasty individual who staunchly defends the Ummah and I'm

sure believes that America should belong to Islam.

If he picks a fight with President Trump, he will lose and I can't wait to see it.

Time and Trump disagree over 2017 POY cover - Duration: 0:51.

President Donald Trump and Time magazine are in disagreement over the mag's upcoming "Person

of the Year" cover.

Trump tweeted Friday that Time told him he would "probably" be named Person of the Year

for 2017.

He says he told the magazine that "probably" isn't good enough, and he would pass on the

opportunity.

But Time disputed the president's account.

The magazine tweeted later Friday that the president is "incorrect" and that it doesn't

comment on its choice until publication, which this year is Dec. 6.

Trump was actually named Time's "Person of the Year" last year shortly after the election.

The decision was controversial, sparking backlash from people on social media.

Time explained its choice, saying that Person of the Year isn't a popularity contest but

recognition for the year's most influential person — "for better or worse."

Ivanka Trump Weighs in on Controversy Surrounding Malia Obama - Duration: 1:55.

Former first daughter Malia Obama has received some harsh criticism this week from across

the political spectrum for some of her actions on campus at Harvard University.

The college freshman's behavior, including a kiss and a short video clip apparently showing

her exhale smoke, have been scrutinized by some right-leaning political blogs and a number

of social media users.

Counteracting those critics, however, have been scores of comments imploring them to

let the 19-year-old experience college life privately.

Among those making that case are two women who can uniquely relate with her position:

Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton.

The current and former first daughters each posted tweets in the wake of the backlash

against Obama making their case for leaving her out of the spotlight.

Trump wrote that Obama's life should be "OFF limits" to the media, adding she

should be afforded the same privacy as her Harvard peers.

Clinton shamed the media outlets who ran stories about Obama, writing that her college experiences

should not end up as their "clickbait."

Their sentiments were echoed by many others, with supportive comments far outpacing critical

ones.

Along with countless private citizens, several celebrities also spoke out in her defense,

as USA Today reported.

"Let Malia live," wrote hip-hop artist Common.

Some took it a step further with political jabs aimed at the confirmed and alleged actions

of President Donald Trump's adult children.

Still, Twitter users finding fault with Obama's behavior for a number of reasons were able

to have their voices heard, and in many cases amplified.

Some of the more extreme reaction revolved around the fact that Obama was seen kissing

a young white man.

The U.K. Telegraph identified the man seen kissing Obama as Rory Farquharson, also a

student at Harvard.

White House Staff Now Living In Fear Of Mueller Investigation, Even As Trump Says It's No Big Deal - Duration: 2:57.

According to a new article in the Washington Post, White House aides and staffers are walking

around in fear.

But this time, it's not in fear of an unhinged Donald Trump going off at them at any minute,

now White House staffers are afraid of the Bob Mueller special prosecutor investigation

that has the potential to take out some of their buddies inside the White House.

The Washington Post said that some of the staffers jokingly ask one another each day,

"Are you wearing a wire?"

You know, things like that seem kind of funny, but they do acknowledge the fact that this

is more gallows humor for the employees there and that they all understand that at any given

moment any one of them could be called forth to testify in front of Bob Mueller and the

grand jury that's been convened.

They know that that's probably not going to go well for any of them, particularly as some

White House staffers have said if they've ever mentioned the word Russia, if they've

ever said the word Russia in an email, or any other kind of correspondence, they're

probably on Bob Mueller's target list right now.

Now White House lawyer ... Donald Trump's personal lawyer, I should say, Ty Cobb, insists

that everything is fine.

Theses staffers have nothing to worry about.

Donald Trump himself is trying to reassure them by telling them that this is just an

annoyance.

The whole Russia thing, it's an annoyance.

It's going to blow over.

Everybody's going to be fine.

Don't worry about your future.

Don't worry about going to jail.

Don't worry about your jobs.

We're going to be okay.

Well, Breitbart CEO, and former White House staffer himself, Steve Bannon, tends to think

otherwise.

In fact, Bannon recently called for Donald Trump to hire an outside legal team other

than Ty Cobb because he doesn't believe that Cobb understands the severity of this investigation,

nor is he equipped to actually be able to defend Donald Trump should the time come when

Trump himself gets an indictment.

And that's coming from Steve Bannon, a guy who was in there, in the White House, a knows

everything that happened.

If he's telling Donald Trump he needs better lawyers, then there's probably a pretty good

assumption that Donald Trump is eventually going to need lawyers to defend him.

That is why the staffers or so scared.

It's not because they don't want to have to go to testify.

It's not because they're worried about being under oath.

It's because they've been there from the beginning and these people know exactly what went down.

Exactly who was involved.

And, they've got a pretty good idea of who's going down in the near future.

Most Americans Agree – Trump Is Really, Really Bad At Being President - Duration: 3:37.

According to all available polls here in the United States, there seems to be a common

thing that most Americans in this country share, and that is we all pretty much agree

that Donald Trump is really, really bad at being the President.

Now, The Hill recently ran an article talking about the fact that Donald Trump is universally

disliked here in the United States, and they have the data to back it up.

According to all of the polls that have been taken both before he was sworn in, and after

he was sworn in as President of the United States, the American public's opinion of Donald

Trump has only gotten worse.

As The Hill points out, less than two weeks after being sworn in as President, Donald

Trump immediately started calling any polls that showed him as unpopular, fake news.

To this day, he continues to call any poll that shows him with a horrible approval rating,

fake news.

When Donald Trump won the election in the United States, his approval rating was below

50%.

When he got sworn in as President, his approval rating was 45%.

Today, the highest poll has his approval rating at 41%.

Several other polls have it as low as 36%.

So, again, it's pretty obvious that most people here in the United States, the people that

have been paying attention, believe that Donald Trump is just really, really bad at being

President.

And we don't even need polls to show us that Americans think this way.

We know that they think this way.

We have seen massive protests.

We see the backlash that he gets online from the few people that follow him who are not

bots, who want to attack the stupid things he says on Twitter, and rightfully so.

Donald Trump has proven it every possible opportunity, that not only was he not prepared

for his job as President, but he really seems like he doesn't even want to be President.

He wanted the power.

He wanted the prestige of the position, but he didn't want to have to do any of the work.

He wanted to sit around and play golf, and hope to hell that there weren't going to be

any hurricanes or floods or fires or mass shootings, but unfortunately those have been

the hallmark of his first year in office.

Not just the events that happened, but actually his responses to them.

We have had terrorist attacks here in the United States.

Mass shootings, like I said, hurricanes, floods, fires, droughts, everything you can imagine,

and yet Donald Trump did virtually nothing about any of those things.

I mean technically he really did do nothing about any of those things, and that is how

we measure a leader.

That is how we determine whether or not somebody is good at their job, especially when it comes

to being President.

Donald Trump, in every test he has been given so far, has failed, and the American public

understands that.

I think today with his approval rating being 41%, he should be happy because when you look

back at how horrible his record has been, his approval rating really should be somewhere

in the teens, not in

the 40's.

Tom Lokers.

Since he took office, President Donald Trump has clashed with Republicans and Democrats

alike in his quest to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Now, however, it seems that he has found other ways to achieve this goal.

New reports indicate that after Trump slashed expenditures to the bloated healthcare bill,

he discovered that Barack Obama had been funneling $90 billion elsewhere.

He was stunned to discover that Obama had stolen $90 billion from taxpayers and funneled

it into Obamacare.
