Question: How to recover details photo

How to recover details photo

Hello there,
Welcome to the Google photos community

To restore your photos and videos I suggest you to follow the below steps:

If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it's there.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Library  Trash .
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone's gallery app
    • In your Google Photos library
    • In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
Don't see the photo or video?
If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can't restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
  • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
  • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
  • You moved it to trash more than 30 days ago on an Android 11 and up device, and it wasn't backed up.
  • You permanently deleted it from your trash.
  • You permanently deleted it from your device's Gallery app, without backing it up first.
To find and recover photos easily, turn on back up & sync.

Hope This helps,
Thank you,
Have a good day.

Question: Can I take screenshots on my elite p55?

Not compatible with screenshot apps

Hi, User 13759837449372775396

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

The steps to take a screenshot vary between phone models & android versions.

However, if you have activated OK Google or Hey Google detection on your phone, the easiest way would be to say, "Hey Google take a screenshot". Then the Google assistant will do the work for you. However, once the screenshot is ready, upload that through Google Photos.

Nevertheless, the following are the standard methods to take a screenshot.
  • Long press the power button & tap on the menu option "Screenshot".
  • Press the volume down & power button simultaneously.
  • Press the volume down & home button simultaneously.
  • Press the power button & home button simultaneously.
  • Pull down the notification panel & look for the screenshot option.
You may try all these or refer to the documentation provided by your phone's manufacturer.

Question: Deleted photos keep coming back once I deleted them and emptied trash

I have tried to delete photos however they keep coming back on despite me emptying my bin

It's driving me crazy. I can't get it to stop, yet it keeps telling me my storage is full. No crap. It's because you won't stop uploading the same photos I deleted.

Answer:

Hello all,

Thanks for stopping by the Google Photos Help Community.

As you've mentioned that you're facing issues with deleting photos on iOS, please give a try to the steps mentioned below:

1. Disconnect and reconnect the Google account from the Google Photos app on your iOS device.
2. Uninstall and reinstall the app.
3. Restart your phone.

Also, try using the Google Photos app by switching the phone to Safe Mode, here's how you can do so:
  • Press and hold your phone's power button for a few seconds until Android prompts you to turn off your phone, just like you would normally do to power it down. Next, tap and hold Power off for a few seconds until your phone asks you to confirm that you want to enter safe mode.
  • To get off the safe mode, simply restart the phone.

Keep me posted.

Best,
Sonya

Hello, I have enabled Sync google photos to drive - this works great. If I had a photo to my Drive folder - should it appear in Google Photos? It doesn't when I try.

Answer:

Hi Fredrik,

Welcome to the Google Photos Help Forum.

Could you please confirm if you've followed the below steps to show the photos of Google Drive in Google Photos?
For more information, please check the Help Center Article on how Google Photos works with Google Drive.

Hope this helps.

Best,
Emma

Answer:

This only works if photos are added to normal folders in Drive that you have created yourself - not in automatical folders created by Google. And if the file-format of these pictures is compatible with Google Photos: see https://support.google.com/photos/answer/6193313?hl=en&ref_topic=6156061

Be aware that the option only shows these pictures, not store. So it is no backup-option.

Answer:

There are no folders on Google Photos like on Google Drive: if you did not create albums on Google Photos yourself, the small ones on top of https://photos.google.com/albums are created by Google automatically based on your pictures in its library.
Or do you mean something different???
