no data is available on how many users view a shared album. As a workaround you may check how many profile images there are in the album, i.e. how many people subscribed for updates to the album. You also get notifications when some of those users view any new photos you upload to the album.

but it'll be awesome if google finds a way to work that out, so that the album owner knows or at least have an idea as to who view their album and so on just like how the Social Medias shows the number of LIKES & who LIKED.

This functionality was available in the google plus days. You could at least get a count of how many total views of your google pages. (I was amazed when my total views started creeping into the millions, so I kept an eye on it for a while.) I am not certain how much drilling down was available because it was a few years ago and I just don't remember.

However, this was not a "photos" function; it was a google plus function that knew about your photos pages. The "new google plus" made it very hard to find and when google plus died, I think the functionality died with it.

Face grouping is a fully automatic process. Because the twins look alike the algorithm obviously is not able to distinguish them. No one at Google is going to manually correct this (they claim to have 1 billion users!).

The good news is that they announced that manual tagging will be implemented. That should allow you to correct the mistakes. But it is not yet implemented. See here.

As long as everything has migrated and you used "Add to Library" on the new account, nothing will happen to the new account when you delete the old one.

Do attempt some type of reconciliation, and check some videos if you have any. I have seen sharing a library of about 20,000 images take several days to complete (so don't rush.. better safe than sorry).

So, in case, you deleted it by mistake you can always restore it from Trash folder within those 60 days (post deletion). But, if you don't find it in Trash, probably it must have been deleted more that 60 days ago. Unfortunately, restoring your lost/deleted photos and videos from Trash is the last resort.

Since Google disabled the "Desktop Uploader" the only way to upload to Google Photos ONLY is by uploading manually. That sounds worse than it is: I do it often by selecting the photos in Windows Explorer and dragging them to https://photos.google.com/ or into an album.

2. How do I know if person 'B' can view anything else?

The links are unique, but anyone with the link can view. You cannot prevent that. Google Photos does not know the concept of "authorisation". The question is how he/she got that link. How did you share ?

You don't know, unless that person "joined" the album, but they can always view without joining or even in an incognito window.

Since we do not know how that person got that link, we don't know.

When you "unshared" the album, the link becomes obsolete and no one will be able to see the album anymore. There is no need to delete the album. Of course they may have downloaded the album or added the photos to their own Google Photos library, which means that they can still see them because they own a copy.

In Google Photos there's no way to automatically have the local photos deleted from some folders/albums but not others. You would need to select the images and select "delete device copy". Alternately you could delete them all and redownload the ones you want to keep.

I'm not familiar with Samsung Cloud so can't answer that part, but if you have Google Backup and Sync enabled, the safest way to delete a photo from the device and not the Google Photos cloud is within the Google Photos app with the "delete device copy" option. I have no idea how this would affect the Samsung Cloud.

Here's a help article to know more about deleting photos and videos in Google Photos. You would need to download all the content (photos and videos) to another storage device (like a phone, memory stick or SD card) from Google Photos, then delete them. Having done that, you can now move or transfer your photos back to Google Photos of the same account.

Google Photos backs up everything that's there in your device (Device/SD card storage). If all your photos are backed up from your Android device to Google Photos and you're trying to make some device space by deleting photos. 'Free up space' option in Google Photos is the best way out.

The 'Free up space' feature doesn't detect content on your external SD card. You may have to move them from the external SD card to your device and then perform the 'Free up space' action for everything to be cleared. Do this only if you're sure all the content in the SD card are backed up to Google Photos.

Were the photos in your old phone backed up to Google Photos from your Pixel device before it was damaged? If yes, then you can always for them by logging on to photos.google.com with the same Google Account. It can be possible that the photos weren't uploaded successfully to Google Photos (cloud) and also make sure you're logged in to Google Photos with the same Google Account that you used during the backup. Photos/videos that are not synced or backed up, will still appear in Google Photos and will have this icon

(which means not synced/backed up) or some photos/videos will also show up with the two arrows in a circle mean backup is in progress.

Once the upload is complete there will be no icon on any photos/videos. Often, many of us misinterpret that they are all backed up because the photos/videos show up in Google Photos and we over see the icons on each photo/video. If the photos/videos weren't backed up they cannot be deleted from the Google Photos library nor Trash.

In case, you are uploading a large amount of data (photos/videos), please know that it might take 24-48 hours for the photos and videos to sync across all devices. Please ensure to have 'Backup & sync' enabled on the Google Photos settings while you're backing up your photos and videos. To check is the content is backed up, login in to photos.google.com to checked for your backed up photos and videos.

Photos uploaded as part of the Pixel free original quality promo don't take up space, so they won't be compressed. "Back up & sync is off": Tap "TURN ON" on the card to back up your device's photos and videos, including ones you capture in the future.
"A photo or video was skipped": A photo or video on your mobile device doesn't meet our uploadrequirements:

Photos can't exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels.
Videos can't exceed 10GB.

It does take approximately 24-48 hours for the photos and videos to sync across all devices. Please ensure to have 'Backup & sync' enabled on the Google Photos settings while you're backing up your photos and videos. It's possible that Google Photos is merely scanning your library for an upload too.

When Android offers to free up space by deleting files that it says are already backed up in my account, how can I be sure that the image files that are "backed up" are of the same quality (i.e. resolution) as the ones that Android has offered to delete? In other words, is Android offering to delete the same, exact files or just ones w the same file names (but which could be a higher or lower image quality as the ones in the cloud)? Google Photos will delete any photos from your phone which are backed up to your Google account regardless of whether the cloud copy is of original quality or high quality, however all photos on Google Photos are the same resolution as the original image, just ones that you chose to upload in high quality are compressed to potentially lower MP (megapixels)
