Therefore, could you please try toggling off the below option to see if that helps in showing up the photos in the Google Photos folder of Google Drive?

Select Settings.
Check Create a Google Photos folder.
Click Done.

there's unfortunately no direct way of removing users from the sharing suggestions in Google Photos.

However, there are a couple of workarounds to try. The first is to remove the unwanted person from your Google contacts. The other is to share some photos with some of the contacts you do want to interact with so that the unwanted suggestion eventually slips out of the list of recommended contacts.

Could you please confirm if you're trying to restore some photos from Google Photos? If yes, please check if the photos are present in the Trash of Google Photos and restore them through the below steps:

On your Android device, open the Google Photos app .
At the top left, tap Menu.
Click on Trash.
Touch and hold the photo or video you want to recover.
At the bottom, tap Restore. That photo or video will be restored to your Google Photos library and added back into any albums it was in.

But if you've already deleted the photos from the Trash from your Google Photos, there is no other way to restorethem.

That being said, if you would like to see this feature implemented in the future, I recommend leaving feedback about it through the following steps:

Open Google Photos.
Click on Menu.
Select Send feedback.
Click on Send.

The product team reviews the feedback regularly and uses it to better improve the product overtime.

An album appears in https://photos.google.com/sharing as soon as there is a "link" generated, even when the link is not shared with anyone. Since nothing shows in https://photos.google.com/sharing, nothing is shared in my opinion. You can also sign in to https://get.google.com/albumarchive in a private (incognito) window to see what everybody can see.

The things are slightly different on mobile devices as you will see on the above link too.

To make sure, everything is fine, you may open the link of shared album in a private (incognito) window, and try reload after „unshare" it. In my experience the reload will give 404 after a few seconds, or right after the process is done, but in particular cases it may take more time.

Please be aware, that if you privately share an album to someone, a public link is generated, which is accessible by any other people. Also be aware, if you share something, it makes the photos downloadable, after and someone saved them, this won't be undone by the above process.

Just to confirm, are you referring to your photos (from your iPhone) not being synced on your computer since last year December? If so, please try these steps on your iPhone:

Check your back up status:

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app .
At the top:

If you see a number: It means there's still that many photos that haven't been backed up.
Back up is complete: If you see Upload complete .
"Waiting for Wi-Fi": Change your settings or connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile network. Tap the card to change your settings.
Back up is off: If you see Back up off . Tap to turn on back up.
"A photo or video was skipped": A photo or video is not uploading because it doesn't meet our requirements:

Photos can't exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels
Videos can't exceed 10GB

After the backup is complete, please try these steps on your computer:

Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos (photos.google.com) with the same Google Account.
Clear your cookies and cache.
Try Incognito/private window.
Disable extensions/add-ons/plug-ins.
Try a different browser to see if it is a browser related issue.

Item size: Photos larger than 75MB or 100MP, videos larger than 2GB, and items smaller than 256 x 256 can't be backed up.
Slow network connection: Your device might have a slow or no network connection.
Unsupported file type: See which file types can be backed up.

If that's not the case, please try uploading this photo/video manually. Here's how:

On your computer, open photos.google.com.
At the top right, click Upload.
Find and select your photos.

Impossible to say what goes wrong.

HOW did you try to upload? Manually ? If not, did you also try manually?
What happens exactly? I sometimes get the message "n items skipped" and can view which ones. Do you get any message ?
You can try again with the skipped or all photos (duplicates should not be uploaded).
If yet no success, try with 2x half of the photos, to see if specific photos cause issues.

I copied a photo and renamed it in a folder on my laptop.

I downloaded a photo from Google Photos and put it in a folder on my laptop.

I copied and pasted a photo from Google Drive in Windows Explorer and added it to a folder on my laptop.

All 3 photos have a red cross and won't sync.

I certainly understand where you're coming from. Could please check, if you've downloaded these photos and stored them in Google Drive? Also, please check for the following:

Case 1: I'd suggest you check and turn off the Google Drive sync on Google Photos. By doing so, the photos and videos from My Drive won't show in your Google Photos library. Here's how:

Go to photos.google.com.
Click Settings and turn off Google Drive sync.

Case 2 : I'd suggest you check and turn off the 'Auto Add' option on Google Drive. Here's how:

On your computer, open drive.google.com.
Click Settings and turn off 'Auto Add' option that adds a Google Photos folder on 'My Drive'.

Please know that, your storage is shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. So, it would be great if you can share a few screenshots of storage used by Google Photos here. Please don't share any personal or account information when sending the screenshots.

Ok, so for some reason when I post the question I can't see the text of what I'm writing to describe the issue. That's a separate problem. This problem is about trying to edit videos in photos. I've uploaded the clips to the movie maker. They play fine normally in the app but when they are added to the movie maker the audio is out of sync. I can't see any controls for moving the audio to realign it with the video.

Hi Vivek, Google do not monitor this forum, we are volunteers who try to help by sharing our experience.

The iOS operating system does not have folders and Google Photos only sees the Camera Roll. Any albums you see are internal to the Apple Photos app and the operating system does not store them separately in folders. As Google can only see the photos in the Camera Roll it cannot do other than upload all it sees.

If photo added into the Album then it should not be visible in Photo folder it must be only visible in Album. Currently photo are visible in both Photo folder and Album which is creating confusion and not easy to manage.

Hi Vivek, Google do not monitor this forum, we are volunteers who try to help by sharing our experience.

The Photos folder is the home of all your photos and they cannot be removed from there. Adding to an album does not create a new copy of the photo, it just puts a zero rated shortcut in the album which refers to the Photo folder copy. This means there is no duplication.

You can remove the view of the photo from the Photos folder by clicking on it and using the 3 dot menu at the top right to Archive it. This removes it from view and leaves it only visible in the album.
