Dit forum is in het Engels, maar ik zal in het Nederlands antwoorden.

Dan moet je toch eerst vertellen hoe de foto's van je computer op Google Foto's zijn terechtgekomen, want dat gaat ook niet zomaar vanzelf. Bovendien kan het ook via Apple lopen en heeft Google er niets mee te maken.

Maar zelfs als dat je bedoeling was, dat had je moeten snappen dat je de foto's die bij Google zijn opgeslagen, ook in de Google Foto's app op je telefoon kunt zien.

En dat geldt andersom ook en daar ben je allemaal zelf bij - wij stellen jouw zaakjes niet in en een beetje studeren op de ruim voorhanden Google-info kan ook geen kwaad.

Het is ook niet duidelijk wat je wil verwijderen en hoe je het dan wel wil hebben.

Graag in redelijk Engels antwoorden en verduidelijken, want dan kunnen ook anderen je helpen.

You can check which albums or photos you may have shared by reviewing the Shared screen of the Google Photos app or visiting the corresponding page photos.google.com/shared of the website.

Google Search returns only publicly available web pages and images. If you don't mind publicly sharing your photos and having them searchable in Google Search by anyone, you can upload the photos to some website.

Thanks for posting in the Google Photos Support Community.

It can be possible that the photos weren't uploaded successfully to Google Photos (cloud) and also make sure you're logged in to Google Photos with the same Google Account that you used during the backup. Photos/videos that are not synced or backed up, will still appear in Google Photos and will have this icon

(which means not synced/backed up) or some photos/videos will also show up with the two arrows in a circle mean backup is in progress.

Once the upload is complete there will be no icon on any photos/videos. Often, many of us misinterpret that they are all backed up because the photos/videos show up in Google Photos and we over see the icons on each photo/video. If the photos/videos weren't backed up they cannot be deleted from the Google Photos library nor Trash.

In case, you are uploading a large amount of data (photos/videos), please know that it might take 24-48 hours for the photos and videos to sync across all devices. Please ensure to have 'Backup & sync' enabled on the Google Photos settings while you're backing up your photos and videos. To check is the content is backed up, login in to photos.google.com to checked for your backed up photos and videos.

However, if you're sure they were backed up, I recommend you looking for your video here:

If a photo/s is deleted from Google Photos, it would go to Trash/Bin for the next 60 days (after deletion). Unfortunately, if the photos aren't found in Trash or deleted from Trash, I'm afraid, you might not find them else where to recover them because Trash is the last resort to retrieve your lost/deleted photos.

Meanwhile, also try giving the below steps a try once again in a sequence to help resolve the issue:

Close the Google Photos app and re-launch it.
Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos with the same Google Account.
Clear App data:

Open your device's Settings app (not the Google Settings app).
Touch Apps.
Select Google Photos in the list.
Touch Clear data.

Update the Google Photos app on your Android phone:

Visit the Google Play Store.
Open Google Photos.
Touch on Update.

Unable to back up videos/photos can sometimes be upsetting. I'd recommend trying the below steps to check if they resolve the issue:

Open the Google Photos app on your mobile device .
At the bottom, tap Assistant .
Read the first card. If it says:

"Waiting for connection" or "Waiting for WiFi": You need to either change your settings or connect to a WiFi or mobile network. Tap the card to change your settings.
"Back up & sync is off": Tap "TURN ON" on the card to back up your device's photos and videos, including ones you capture in the future.
"A photo or video was skipped": A photo or video on your mobile device doesn't meet our upload requirements:

Photos can't exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels
Videos can't exceed 10GB

There are several ways to do transfer data from one account to another, Shared Libraries (a.k.a. Partner Sharing) is probably easiest and cleanest. Normally, this would be used between two different people (spouses, for instance).

Here's a help article for more information on 'Share your Google Photos library with a partner'. In your case you will be your own partner in a different account. Set-up is pretty easy and you can do it from your phone or a computer. If you have 10s of thousands of photos the transfer process might take a few days to complete.

Do some reasonableness tests on the number of images in both accounts before and after. You can do this by selecting all the images in "Photos" or looking that the count of Photos for "Photos" here https://myaccount.google.com/dashboard(the Album count is meaningless). The number of photos your Gmail account should increase by approximately the number of images in your Hotmail account (minus any images which somehow got into both).

Make sure that you set "Save to library" for all images on the target account.

Note: Shared Libraries transfer the images not the albums, you can share and recreate the albums if you desire.

Don't delete the images in the old account for a week after you thing the transfer is done. Check the resolution on some sample videos (via the Information Panel "i" icon) before the deleting the old photos. If you have any images which you would be heartbroken if you lost, make sure that you store them in more than one format / tool.

After the transfer is done, you can turn off Partner Sharing. From then on use your Gmail account for photos. Note: It is easy to have multiple email accounts in most email apps, you will want to check your Gmail email once in a while in case you get notifications (you could also auto-forward it to your primary email account, if desired).

I have tried to find the Google Photos directory in Google Drive which is connected to Google Photos. However when I did a search I found multiple "Google Photos" directories. I think this is due to 10+ years of syncing backwards and forwards with different computers and phones.

My question is, how can I find the *actual* Google Photos directory which is currently connected to my Google Photos?
