"We virtually tried to bribe them into stopping and they're continuing to do what they're

doing.

Trump continued, "Do you want to do it in five years when they have warheads all over

the place pointed at Washington D.C., and New York City, is that when you want to do

Trump declares 'it's time' for North Korea talks, but White House maintains hardline stance - Duration: 2:14.

President Trump declared over the weekend... it's time for talks with North Korea.

While his administration backed those words, they've also been quick to emphasize no concessions

will be made.

Kwon Jang-ho has the details.

U.S. President Trump showed at a rally on Saturday that he was fired up for talks with

North Korea, saying that he trusts Pyongyang to keep its word on halting nuclear missile

testing for now.

"I think they want to do something, I think they want to make peace, I think it is time.

And I think we've shown great strength, I think that's also important, right?"

He also took to Twitter to express these views, saying he believes North Korea will 'honor

their commitment'.

On Sunday, Trump's senior officials were out in full-force on the Sunday news shows to

support the President's stance, while emphasizing that the U.S. will not back down from its

hardline stance before the talks.

"The sanctions are staying on, the defense posture is staying the same as it is.

So, the President is going to sit down and see if he can cut a deal."

"He (Kim) can't conduct nuclear testing, he's got to stop the missile testing that he's

been hard at for the last years.

He's got to continue to allow us to perform our militarily-necessary exercises on the

peninsula, and then he's got to make sure that he leaves on the table that discussion

for denuclearization."

However, some criticism has been voiced from members of Congress, even among Trump's Republican

allies, that the deal for talks had been reached too impulsively, and that a lot of work has

to be done before they meet.

"I don't think anybody really believes that North Korea is prepared to denuclearize.

If somebody is saying -- I've heard it suggested that that's what the North Koreans have already

agreed to, I would question that."

Meanwhile, National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster is slated to brief the United Nations

Security Council on Washington's talks with the South Korean envoys, as well as meet with

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday.

Trump's resolve for talks seems firm, but it remains to be seen whether Kim Jong-un

will act as promised, and what sort of progress will be made when the two leaders meet in

May.

to remain on the train as far as it'll take them, swing state voters had some opinions

about the matter.

Breitbart shares some incredibly interesting news on Trump's recent job approval ratings

from 5 top swing states.

A series of swing state polls show that President Trump is in much better re-election shape

than our disgraced media would lead you to believe.

Axios commissioned 10 Survey Monkey polls to look at the upcoming Senate races in those

states Trump won in 2016.

While there is plenty of bad news for Senate Democrats, a potential loss of five to six

seats, the good news for Trump is that his job approval rating in the key swing states

he will need to win a second term, is well above his national rating.

In the key states of Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Trump's approval

ratings are in the upper 40s and low 50s.

That's above his national average, and it perfectly demonstrates how the average American

voter simply isn't picking up the nonsense that the Left continues to lay down.

As of now, Trump's national job approval ratings sits at around 40 percent.

Nevertheless, those states above are the five Trump will need to win a second term in 2020.

The most surprising number is Ohio's 54 percent, which is where every presidential

campaign starting in 2000 has been so bitterly and closely fought.

The president is in excellent shape there.

As an incumbent, he is also well within the norm to retake Wisconsin and Michigan, two

states that were considered safely in the Democrat column until the night before Trump's

upset win in 2016.

To be clear, there's a long way to go until we get to 2020, and there's no telling what

the landscape will look like once the primary season comes around.

That said, American voters continue to bear the fruits of Trump's labor, and there's

no sign that will be changing anytime soon.
