Trump news on Youtube Sep 6 2017

President Trump has announced that the United States is ready to sell high-tech military

gear to South Korea and Japan to help them better deal with North Korea's threats.

Just a matter of days after North Korea claimed it had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb,...

President Trump took to Twitter to say that he's allowing Seoul and Tokyo to buy a substantially

increased amount of highly sophisticated military equipment from Washington.

Although he did not elaborate on the kind of weaponry and equipment,... the White House

said President Trump is willing to approve the sale of military weapons and equipment

worth many billions of dollars to Seoul.

Breaking: Trump picks NASA chief, NOAA second-in-command

President Donald Trump has announced his picks for two prominent science-related positions in his administration.

And he wants Rear Admiral Timothy Gallaudet, a former oceanographer of the Navy, to be assistant secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere, the No. 2 job at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Bridenstine, a member of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee of the House of Representatives, has long been rumored to be Trump's choice to run NASA

Bridenstine has been a member of Congress since 2012. He is a former Navy pilot who "began his Naval aviation career flying the E-2C Hawkeye off the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier," according to a brief biography released by the White House. It continues

It was there that he flew combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. While on active duty, he transitioned to the F-18 Hornet and flew as an "aggressor" at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center. After leaving active duty, Mr. Bridenstine returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma to be the Executive Director of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium and flew counter-drug missions in Central and South America in the Navy Reserve. He holds a triple major from Rice University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. Mr. Bridenstine is currently a member of the 137th Special Operations Wing of the Oklahoma Air National Guard.

Gallaudet, a 32-year Navy veteran, has also served as commander of the Navy's Meteorology and Oceanography Command. According to his White House biography:

Gallaudet has had experience in weather and ocean forecasting, hydrographic surveying, developing policy and plans to counter illegal, unregulated, and unreported fishing, and assessing the national security impacts of climate change. Dr. Gallaudet has led teams of Navy Sailors and civilians performing such diverse functions as overseeing aircraft carrier combat operations, planning and conducting humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts, assisting Navy SEAL Teams during high visibility counter-terrorism operations, and developing the Navy's annual $52 billion information technology, cyber security, and intelligence budget. Dr. Gallaudet holds a bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and masters and doctoral degrees from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, all in oceanography.

he selection of Gallaudet is drawing good reviews from some research groups. "Tim's mixture of operational expertise and scientific knowledge make him an ideal choice for this position," said Antonio Busalacchi, president of the the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, a consortium of 100 colleges and universities, in a 5 September statement. "His understanding of the vital collaborations between NOAA, private forecasting companies, and the academic community can help foster the movement of research to operational forecasting and advance the nation's weather prediction capabilities. Furthermore, his knowledge of Earth system science and his ability to align that science with budget and programs will be essential to moving NOAA forward in the next few years."

"With its mission to understand, predict, and share information about changes in climate, weather, ocean, and coasts and to conserve and manage our nation's vast coastal and marine ecosystems and resources, NOAA will thrive under his leadership," White added.

On behalf of the ocean science, education, and technology community and the members of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, I want to express my appreciation to the president for taking the first step to staff this leadership post," COL's Jonathan White said in a statement. "He has chosen someone who has the scientific and oceanographic expertise necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position and whose exemplary leadership, professionalism, and dedication will allow him to serve with distinction."

Trump's EPA Attacks Reporter For Covering Environmental Damage Of Hurricane Harvey - Duration: 4:24.

One of the more disturbing side effects of the massive flooding that was brought to the

state of Texas from Hurricane Harvey is the fact that Texas is obviously home to a lot

of oil companies, a lot of oil activities, a lot of chemical companies, and a lot of

Superfund sites, which are highly toxic areas where toxic waste resides, where human beings

cannot function inside of that little Superfund site.

With this massive floodwater has come an insane amount of toxins being released both into

the atmosphere and into those floodwaters, that then travels all over the flooded areas,

specifically with these Superfund sites.

A few days ago the Associated Press ran a story talking about the fact that the EPA

had not yet gone to inspect these Superfund sites on the ground.

Meanwhile, the reporters of the story actually did.

They saw this toxic sludge seeping out into the floodwaters, going God-knows-where, because

nobody within the Trump administration or the Trump EPA cares enough to actually go

in there and do something.

What was the EPA's response to all of this?

Instead of saying, "Hey, we understand.

We're working on it.

We're devising a plan," they decided to issue a press release where they attacked the reporter

by name for the Associated Press, saying, "How dare you say that we're not doing anything

or we're not taking this seriously?

We've been doing good things with the Hurricane Harvey response, and we flew over a couple

of those Superfund sites and we saw flooding in only 13 out of, like, 30."

That wasn't the point of the article, EPA.

First of all, the EPA has not even said who wrote this particular response.

They refused to tell us who wrote it, or who authorized it, or who signed off on it.

Furthermore, the reporter specifically said, "You haven't gone to these sites to see the

damage," and the EPA says first of all, "Reporter, you're a jerk," and second of all, "No, it's

okay, 'cause we were in an airplane thousands of feet above it, and we looked out the window

and saw what was happening."

Well, that's not good enough.

It wasn't good enough for George W. Bush when he flew over the damage of Hurricane Katrina

and we got that very sad picture of him looking out a window.

You have to go there.

You have to find out what's happening.

You have to put boots on the ground to go fix this issue.

This is highly toxic, carcinogenic waste that is seeping out into those floodwaters.

More importantly, as the AP pointed out, the people rescuing other people in those floodwaters

need to know if they're wading waist-deep through toxic waste, because that is what

is happening right now, folks.

We have seen numerous explosions from chemical plants and oil refineries in the wake of Hurricane

Harvey which are releasing countless carcinogens and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere,

not to mention releasing them into the floodwaters and into the environment.

These Superfund sites are doing the same thing, except on steroids, because there's no big

explosion to bring people's attention to it.

It's just toxic sludge that slowly melts and dissipates into that floodwater, going anywhere.

This is something that needs to be addressed.

We've got to clean up these Superfund sites, not just in Texas, but all over the country.

We have to start paying attention, and more importantly, everyone, we actually have to

start caring about it.

Most people in this country don't even know what a Superfund site is.

They don't know what it means, but it sounds superfun.

It's a toxic waste site that has the potential to poison countless American citizens.

We have to get this fixed.

We have to start taking care of the environment, because if we let the environment die, human

beings aren't going to be too far after that.

Trump Lied About Obama Wiretapping Him, DOJ Investigation Concludes - Duration: 5:00.

Back in March, Donald Trump tweeted out on a Saturday morning, "Just found out Obama

had my wires tapped at Trump Tower just before the victory.

Nothing found.

This is McCarthyism."

That was Donald Trump's exact tweet from March.

He accused President Obama of basically committing a felony by having Donald Trump wiretapped

within Trump Tower in an effort to find who knows what.

Now, immediately people began asking President Trump for some kind of evidence as to whether

or not this wiretap existed.

But he never offered a single shred of evidence beyond his original statement and his repeated

claims of this.

So, the Department of Justice took it upon themselves to go ahead and investigate and

find out exactly where Obama wiretapped and why he wiretapped and who authorized this

wiretap.

But as it turns out, after nearly four, five months of investigation: there was no wiretap

placed by the Obama administration into Trump Tower or on any phone line used by Donald

Trump.

Donald Trump flat out lied to the American public via Twitter that President Obama wiretapped

him.

And apparently, we had to have a Department of Justice investigation to determine that

Donald Trump lied.

Not only is this a disgusting mis-use of tax dollars to go ahead and try to investigate

another one of Donald Trump's vanity projects, like we had to investigate whether or not

pictures of his inaugural crowd were Photoshopped, but it shows just how far President Trump

will go in order to smear President Obama.

Now, most of the lies that Donald Trump has told have either been related to some kind

of policy or they've been lies of vanity, again, like the "my inaugural crowd was bigger

than Obama's," "I've done more than other presidents have in this short amount of time,"

and so on.

But they've been lies that served a specific purpose.

This lie, saying that Obama wiretapped me, doesn't necessarily serve a particular purpose.

It doesn't advance any policy, and it doesn't make Donald Trump look better.

Now, maybe, maybe Trump thought that if I say this, people will have some sympathy for

me, or they will think I'm important enough that Obama wanted to place a wiretap on me,

but that's a bit of a stretch.

This lie served no purpose for Donald Trump, so the big question is, why tell it?

Why did he wake up one Saturday morning and decide to just tweet that out?

What sparked it?

What made him make this decision?

Those are things that we the American public actually need to know, because it will give

us a better glimpse into the very fragile, deteriorating brain of Donald Trump.

This is not normal behavior.

Normal people don't just make up these wild claims and tweet them out to the public, and

we shouldn't hold our president to a lower standard than that.

We need to know why he told this lie, who inspired it, if anyone, and what we're gonna

do as a result of it.

We can't continue to just let these things go.

Yeah, we've got fact-checkers out there, but they're not necessarily holding anybody accountable.

It's not like they can take this to the Senate or the House of Representatives and say, "Okay,

you're gonna have to impeach him, because he just told a lie here."

That's not how it works; technically, there's nothing illegal about what Trump has done,

as far as his lies.

But we have to demand more.

The public has to demand more and those idiots who still say they support Trump, they have

to wake up and understand that this man is an absolute, pathological liar and he doesn't

give a damn about anyone, anyone but himself.

And his constant non-stop lies to make himself look better, are proof of that.

But again, this particular lie doesn't fit into that usual scheme and that's why this

one stands out so much.

We need more answers on this and hopefully, somebody, maybe a psychiatrist, maybe at Mike

Pence or John Kelly's urging, Trump will go talk to a mental health professional and find

out why he is incapable of telling the American public the truth.
