Donald Trump's Withdrawn Stephen Curry's White House Invitation| MK EnterTainment - Duration: 2:22.Donald Trump Says He's Withdrawn Stephen Curry's White House Invitation.
United States President Donald Trump said Saturday morning he's withdrawing an invitation
for Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry to visit the White House to celebrate
the team's NBA championship.
On Friday, Curry was asked about the potential trip and he told reporters: "I don't want
to go."
Trump responded on social media: "Going to the White House is considered a great honor
for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!"
National Basketball Players Association president Michele Roberts told Curry to be proud of
the move:
Warriors teammate Draymond Green explained Friday the Dubs were still planning to hold
a discussion within the team about whether to attend or skip the proceedings.
"We're going to have a discussion to pretty much take the temperature of everyone.
We're going to decide what is best, whatever we think is best for us," Green told reporters.
"It may not be the most popular thing or whatever we decide.
But at the end of the day, we are the ones to decide to attend.
It's only right that we all decide together.
It's not just one person's choice.
It'll be between all of us.
We'll come up with a decision and then go from there."
In May, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr spoke out about Trump's leadership qualities,
per Chris Ballard of Sports Illustrated.
"Frankly, I think it's why Trump couldn't be more ill-suited to be president, because
he's a blowhard," he said.
"You don't see some of the qualities you talk about, the resilience, the ability to communicate,
the compassion.
None of that.
But in the old days, a lot of great coaches who maybe didn't have those, there was still
a fiber there, whatever it was.
To be a great leader, there have to be some qualities in there.
"Has anyone ever thought that Donald Trump was a great leader?"
Discussion about attending the White House visit also arose when the Chicago Cubs and
New England Patriots went in June and August respectively.
It's not an issue that's isolated to the Trump administration, however.
Athletes have skipped the White House visit for a variety of reasons for decades.
Thank you for watching.

North Korea says Trump is 'DAYDREAMING' if he thinks Kim will quit NUCLEAR campaign - Duration: 3:41.North Korea says Trump is 'DAYDREAMING' if he thinks Kim will quit NUCLEAR campaign
has repeatedly provoked international outrage this year with a series of missile launches and nuclear tests.
The rogue nation has faced frequent furious outbursts from America, culminating this week when President Trump warned he would not hesitate to "totally destroy" the rogue state.
He said if the USA or its allies were provoked, he would launch an all-out attack on Kim's kingdom. But North Korea continues to ignore these threats and is instead further escalating the situation by mocking the USA.
A fiery news article in a state-run newspaper said: "It is a daydream for the US to stifle the DPRK… its people have the strong spirit of self-reliance and self-development.
" The piece, published this week, praised the strength and "self-reliance" of the North Korean people, claiming this iron-willed determination would see the state emerge victorious from its nuclear showdown.
s propaganda rag continued: "The signal achievements made in North Korea are fruition of the Korean peoples spirit of self-reliance and self-development displayed under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.
"Clear-cut is the stance of the Korean people toward the US.
Unless the US hostile policy and nuclear threat are fundamentally removed, they will invariably follow the road of increasing the nuclear force, giving full play to the might of self-reliance and self-development." And the piece ominously warned of a "showdown" ahead between Kim and his Western rivals. The article concluded: "North Korea can brave any hardship and difficulties, achieve greatest successes under the worst conditions, exalt the dignity and honour of ones country and nation and achieve the prosperity.
"The world will see the brave spirit of North Korea emerging victorious in the showdown with the US in the future." Earlier this week Mr Trump did little to cool the escalating tensions between the two states when he launched a ferocious verbal assault on Kim and North Korea. Mr Trump said on Monday at the UN General Assembly: "If the righteous men do not confront the wicked few then evil will triumph.
No-one has shown more contempt for other nations and the wellbeing of their people than the depraved regime of North Korea. They respect neither their own citizens nor the sovereign rights of countries.
" He mockingly referred to Kim as a "rocket man on a suicide mission for himself and his regime" and said he would "totally destroy" his country.

roger goodell response to trump [ trump nfl [ roger goodell on trump ] - Duration: 1:56.NFL teams have issued a variety of statements over the last couple of days in response to comments from President Donald Trump and some of them have opted to throw their support behind the statement released by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Saturday.
Goodell called the President's comments "divisive" and said they show a "lack of respect" for the league and players.
The owners of the Titans, Chargers and Steelers all cited Goodell's statement when addressing the issue.
Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk said "I completely agree with Commissioner Goodell" and that she is "proud to stand with our players and support them in their work on and off the football field."
Adams Strunk did not mention the President specifically, but added that she knows anyone making disparaging remarks about players "has to be the result of not knowing what they bring to our communities or what they have accomplished."
In addition to saying he "wholeheartedly" agrees with Goodell.
