Look under the "Photos" menu, located in the left menu. If the images / videos do not appear, proceed to look for them in the "Trash".

If the resources you are looking for are there, just select them and click the "Restore" button.

Remember that images in the "Trash" are automatically deleted after 60 days. After this date it is not possible to recover them. If you delete the trash it will not be possible to recover the information.

An important consideration is that the "Backup and sync" option has been enabled on mobile devices. If this was not the case, the images and videos that you have deleted from your phone will not be able to recover them, at least from Google Photos.

You can follow these steps to move the pictures to the SD card using the Google Photos app,

Tap on the Library view.
Tap the desired folder under Photos on the device.
Select photos by long pressing, then tap others after a tick confirms the first selection. You can also long-press and slide down while still in pressed condition to select a range of pictures.
Tap the three-dot menu top right
Tap Move to folder
Tap New SD folder, type a folder name, then tap Create

Note that if the photos are in the Google Photos cloud, this will not remove them from the Photos.

I was having some issues with google photos not showing new faces for pictures I uploaded. I read a few forums and it said to turn off face grouping then re-enable it took a few hours before it started to show faces again. Once it did I started to name the faces. The issue I am having is it did not remove any of the name tags so when I started to put names to faces it still have the old tags. So for example if I had a John Smith and name the new face John Smith there would be 2 of them. If I searched John Smith it would show 2 results for John and if I picked the first one it would say no results if I re-searched and choose the 2nd one it would show results. I have such a mess with my photos now and I just uploaded a few thousand pictures I am not sure how to get it all working again.

Do I turn off face grouping and wait a few days before turning it back on so it can clear out everything?

Is there a way to clear out the search results and rebuild ?

I am at loss as to correct this issue any help would be great.
