If you have a question about recovering deleted photos/videos on Google Photos :

Please check in the Google Photos trash, maybe there are the photos/videos you are looking for. (Open Google Photos --> Trash)

If the photos/videos are permanently deleted, I think you cannot restore them.

The safest way to delete from Google Photos is to delete the Google Photos app and delete the photos at https://photos.google.com/ or in bulk at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ where they are sorted by upload date.

The camera roll photos will not be affected.

If you need to reinstall the app do not enable Back up & sync. The photos will be backed up again if Backup & sync is re-enabled.

Remember that images in the "Trash" are automatically deleted after 60 days. After this date it is not possible to recover them. If you delete the trash it will not be possible to recover the information.

An important consideration is that the "Backup and sync" option has been enabled on mobile devices. If this was not the case, the images and videos that you have deleted from your phone will not be able to recover them, at least from Google Photos.

Lastly, if the deletion process is foreign to Google Photos and responds to file management on mobile or desktop, I recommend using a file recovery app (on the Internet you can find different apps).

Remember, High Quality photos from prior to June 1, 2021 in your old account which did not count against your storage quota, so depending on your settings, if you only deleted very old images it may not impact your storage quota.

More likely, you may not have emptied your trash (be sure you have backed up your images someplace else before you do this because there is no turning back). https://photos.google.com/u/0/trash

Double check your storage here: https://one.google.com/storage

There can be a delay in statistics being updated (possibly as long as a day or even longer).

Some people believe that using the "Recover Storage" function might speed up the process (or just free up some additional space) - https://photos.google.com/u/0/settings

It is always a good idea to store important images in more than one place / tool. My photos are in Google Photos, on my laptop, and on multiple external disk drives (not connected to any computer or network).
