Sorry Ashutosh pawar, but when you did not save these photos also elsewhere they are gone. The help says: 
  • If you uninstall the Photos app or clear your Photos app data, you’ll lose all items in your Locked Folder. To save these items, remove them from Locked Folder before you make changes.
That's asking for problems and very irritating and frustrating. We keep telling people that they should never use this without saving the photos also elsewhere, but then it's usually too late.

Signe, I am sorry but if your Photos were not backed up to Google Photos or Google Drive, before you moved them, there is no way they can be retrieved from Google Photos/Drive :(

Am i the only one that is finding google photos not living up to the expectations  weve come to rely on from the industry giant? I was all in on the automated facial recognition which made searching for a certain picture or building a complete album for someone seem possible. However, the difference between what is being advertised and what im finding is significant and i cant seem to find anything on line that google cares or plans to do anything about it. Does anyone know why? Is there a better app that does these kinds of things that isnt free?  

Here are the top issues im having:
  1. Google automated facial recognition misses obvious faces ~10-20% of the time
  2. Google tags the wrong person in the photo ~10% of the time; pets is much higher. 
  3. Basic functionality doesnt always work. For example when i want to correct an individual who is miss identified, in some cases the option to edit names isnt available. In others, when i search for the correct name, google doesnt find them (even though they are in the db) so i have to create a new person, then merge them later. 
In my mind, im thinking that there are easy fixes but the giant doesnt seem to be interested or care about the customer experience. For example, how hard would it be to make the description searchable?  Or the allow users to add a facial recognition box??? Seriously, google has people there that could do this on their lunch break. Wtf. With some of googles other products, people can develop add-ons for extended features, but i dont think thats an option for photos. 

If anyone has figured out how to solve these problems or developed workarounds, pls share.

Google Photos never uploads the same picture multiple times.
What we see as duplicates have some differences in file format or metadata.
Additionally, if you have activated Raw + JPEG capture or bracketing in your phone app, that would create duplicates.
 
Regrettably, Google Photos doesn't provide any means to remove the apparent duplicates. You have to search those manually.

Try swiping the screen to the left until you are on the last page, I think it is there but on a different page.

If not, try swiping to the right and search for Google Photos, if it shows up there that will be more direct than going to the App Store, but more importantly it shows that it is on the phone someplace - look in folders, maybe it got to someplace illogical.

If it is on, see if Google Photos is On (restricted).. If it is Off, this is Not the problem.
