Question: How to recover deleted photos and videod

Photos which i backed-up are deleted permanently i want to recover that photos and videos.

 

This forum, where you have posted,  is not the Google Photos support community ;  however the following standard response is provided for general advice, and assistance.

 

If correctly synced to your Google account, your photos/videos can be viewed at https://photos.google.com/ on a pc, or in your device using the Google Photos app from Google Play.  Make sure you are signed into the correct account.  Read Find missing photos & videos for initial help. If that doesn't help:-

•  Have you signed into the correct account where the photos are stored?
• Photos may not have been correctly synced to Google, in which case Google does not have them.
• Search Trash/Bin in a desktop PC, or your device, in the photos page or app, if needed. 
• Use the Google Photos app on your device, downloadable from Google Play.

• Photos/videos deleted from Trash/Bin at https://photos.google.com/  cannot be recovered.
• Google delete photos/videos if in Google Photos Trash/Bin for > 60 days.  If removed by Google after 60 days, cannot be restored.
• Read Delete & restore your photos & videos for further information.

If you did not delete these yourself, you need to immediately make your account more secure.

 

Please note from 01 June 2021 new Google Photos storage conditions.  Also read here and here.

 

(Deleted YouTube videos are usually unrecoverable  However this page may help, small print - YMMV.  For specific YouTube assistance, please ask in the YouTube help community.)

There is no specific identifier to know pics with & without location.

 

Nevertheless, you will find an option to edit the location when you tap to open a photo & slideup.

Also by the time I sync photos in my iPhone with new account Google Photos app will resume from where it was with workspace for education account.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried with method C and good thing is I can see photos being transferred to new account. 1 thing not as expected is that transferred photos do not consume storage of new account. I checked status of storage from Google Photos app as well as Google One app both show same result of 15 GB is barely used. In current account there are over 1 TB photos stored with original quality, so I am planning to subscribe Google One 2 TB for the new account so all the photos can be migrated as a whole. Wondering if there's anything I missed?

If you stop the subscription and you are below the free 15GB allocation nothing will happen.

 

If you are above the free 15GB allocation you will be out of space and the following rules apply.

 

What happens if you run out of space

 

Gmail

You can’t send or receive messages. Messages sent to you are returned to the sender.

 

Google Drive

You can’t sync or upload new files. You can’t create new files in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard. Until you reduce the amount of storage you use, neither you nor anyone else can edit or copy your affected files. Syncs stop between your computer's Google Drive folder and My Drive.

 

Google Photos

You can’t back up any photos or videos. If you want to add any more photos and videos, you can free up Google storage space or buy more Google storage.

 

When you have been inactive in Gmail, Google Drive (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, Jamboard or Sites files) or Google Photos for 2 years, all of your content may be removed from that product. But before that happens, we will:

I disabled syncing of Google Photos on my Android device, and had trouble getting them to show/sync again so I moved the whole WhatsApp folder somewhere else, I then went into WhatsApp and it created a whole new folder which I have since deleted using File Explorer and also through Google Photos deleting the folder 'WhatsApp Images'. I then found out the reason they weren't initially showing up was because they had the .nomedia files in each folder. 

I've removed these now and the videos/gifs are now syncing but I can't get WhatsApp Images to sync again. I've tried adding the .nomedia file and deleting it but to no avail. It's as if since I deleted the newly created 'WhatsApp Images' folder through Google Photos it's completely ignoring that folder even though it has been recreated.

If I duplicate the folder and rename it Google Photo's finds it straight away, but this will not work going forward as new images will go into the WhatsApp Images folder.

Can anyone shed any light on this and how I'll be able to get it all showing and syncing again.
