Please review the following information in case there are any options you haven't yet tried. 

1. Check your online account - photos.google.com

If your photos were successfully uploaded to your online Google Photos account they may be available there. Try visiting photos.google.com and searching for them. If you have more than one Google account, check all of them. 

2. Check the trash - photos.google.com/trash

Once you delete photos from your Google Photos account, they're moved to Trash for the next 60 days. If you deleted them by mistake you can always restore them from the Trash folder within those 60 days. Here's the link explaining how to recover them from Trash. If you have more than one Google account, check the trash for all of them.

If you accessed the Trash and manually sent the photos for permanent deletion, or if the 60 days expired, there is no way to recover them from Google Photos. 

3. Review other options

• if you previously used Picasa, visit picasaweb.google.com and search for your photos. 
• have you made any backups of the photos on your phone, camera, computer, or elsewhere?
• there is a small chance that you can restore the photos using a recover deleted photos app (Android). I haven't used them myself so have no specific recommendations. There may well be more app options if you visit the appropriate app store and try other search terms. I don't see any similar apps on the iOS store, but you could check yourself. 
• you can contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Use the Google Drive contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.
• If you ever shared the photos with anyone else, it's possible they may have a copy they could share back or send to you.

In the past I had an account on google photos and the face recognition was almost perfect, and it was always asking me if the person in a specific photo the same person from another photo.

I switched to a new account for a reason and I transferred all the photos to my new account, but the face recognition is absolutely terrible, it's grouping photos from 6 different people at the same time!!

I wanted to try to improve that by doing the question but they are not showing on this account, I can't find the questions about if this is the same person anywhere.

please help because this is a very helpful feature and I was constantly using it but right now the AI is absolutely picked random photos and grouping them together.

By changing accounts the whole process of grouping faces had to start again from scrap. That may take time. I do not know of a way to speed things up.

After that, the two albums do not show up in the Photos app on my phone, yet are both still present on the PC version. Images that were added to the two albums claim that they were not added to anything on my phone.

For more information, my phone is a Pixel 6. I tried using a different mobile device to see if it is a mobile app issue, yet the two albums are present on that device. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the Pixel 6 Photos app.

The first thing is to check if the images/videos are available in the web version of Google Photos. To do this, go to https://photos.google.com.

 

Look under the "Photos" menu, located in the left menu. If the images / videos do not appear, proceed to look for them in the "Trash".

 

If the resources you are looking for are there, just select them and click the "Restore" button.

 

Remember that images in the "Trash" are automatically deleted after 60 days. After this date it is not possible to recover them. If you delete the trash it will not be possible to recover the information.

 

An important consideration is that the "Backup and sync" option has been enabled on mobile devices. If this was not the case, the images and videos that you have deleted from your phone will not be able to recover them, at least from Google Photos.

 

Lastly, if the deletion process is foreign to Google Photos and responds to file management on mobile or desktop, I recommend using a file recovery app. On the Internet you can find different.

It is possible, that those photos did not get backed to Google Photos in the first place, probably a weak wifi connection or your Google photos app was not working in the background.

 

Unfortunately, if those photos did not get backed up to Google photos as in this scenario, there is no way to retrieve them from Google Photos    :(

The process is fully automatic, and given the millions of photos uploaded every day you may have to be patient. I do not know of a way to speed things up. 

Some tried to turn Face grouping OFF and ON again, but that resulted in loosing everything that was already grouped.
