exclude dvd's from google photos

By excluding the dvd-player from your folder selection in the Backup & Sync settings. Perhaps by unchecking Desktop, but I can't check because I don't have a pc with dvd-player anymore. 

PS: to my memory ripped dvd's were for music and not for images. Perhaps you are backupping all folders and files instead of pictures only - see the setting under Change (Wijzigen) in the foldersection.

To restore your photos and videos I suggest you to follow the below steps:

If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it's there.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Library  Trash .
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone's gallery app
    • In your Google Photos library
    • In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
Don't see the photo or video?
If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can't restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
  • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
  • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
  • You moved it to trash more than 30 days ago on an Android 11 and up device, and it wasn't backed up.
  • You permanently deleted it from your trash.

Will it delete the photos my partner saved on their drive? Or will I only delete the photos on my drive/device? I only want to delete my own photos on my drive, not both.

सीके _ recommends to turn off Backup & sync in the source account (and not to stop sharing) before you delete the photos from Google Photos. The reason is that, when you delete in the Google Photos app, you will delete the online copy but also the device copies on all synced mobile devices.
