Sure, actually there is no error message showed up, it says I have successfully upload 0 pics, however I selected more than 3 pics in that upload.

I have tried different ways for uploading via chrome, Firefox through drag the photo to the screen and pull the upload bottom. However it shows the same message "you have successfully upload 0 pic" alll the time.

I'd be surprised if pictures in your Gmail spam are being legitimately synced to your Google Photos. What computing devices do you use (phone/tablet/laptop or desktop computer)?

As far as I can see, such would not (or at least should not) be possible. When I see images attached in an e-mail on my Android Gmail app, I have the choice to download the images or save them to Google Drive (which in turn may show up on Google Photos). However, I cannot see how it would be possible for someone to upload an image to your Google Photos via your Gmail account without your interaction / permission. Is it possible that someone has shared an album or a library with you and you're looking at that?

Picasa is not really gone, but if you have a modern Macbook or iMac, you can't install it anymore while on Windows-11 that is no problem at all and I use it daily and upload my pictures in 2048px size which is good enough for all normal applications.

You did not tell which camera you are using and if your use its raw-format. But if you use the storage saver setting in your browser when uploading via https://photos.google.com, the filesize is reduced at Google. So in fact you don't need to reduce before uploading anymore, but it always is wise to export normal jpg-files after some basic editing to prevent any problems with your camera-files at Google.

PS: you maybe in error by speaking about Google Drive, because you have posted on the Google Photos forum. Files uploaded to Drive are not compressed by Google.

Picasa was not standard software on any computer, but on Windows-10 it should give no problems unless it is the S-version - then it refuses old software like Apple. Don't know why your 10 is not yet upgraded to 11, but that makes no differences at all.

You can find the install file (just 13 MB) at Picasa 3.9 and further info.

Don't do anything with any suggestions to Autobackup or Photos Backup etc.

Just export your edited and selected photos to size 2048 (not 1600) with automatic quality before uploading to photos.google.com and then you can use Original quality to prevent further compression at Google.

Probably that Panasonic app is inferior because it adds low quality files (maybe 1600px without exif - like Whatsapp-files) to a wrong folder. What is called Camera in Google Photos is not the real camerafolder in DCIM but the DCIM folder itself and that folder is not synced, only some folders within DCIM.

So your situation is unclear and too special to get answered here, unless by some user who has found what is going-on with that app.

Better to install the simple Google Gallery Go app in order to discover what is happening.

It's not low quality images, these are from a new mirror less micro four thirds camera. Though I would agree the image app is a bit inferior. However, they do show up eventually, and rebooting the phone will load them. So Google photos is syncing the folder, just not very often! Being able to call a 'refresh' would be nice without restarting the phone.

Sorry for the delay - we are private volunteers.

If you don't pay Google for additional space, you can't have direct support from Google. But even they would not know about specific third party apps. And we can't escalate problems with third party apps we can't test ourself for veryfying.

It is not your camera that has low quality but the Panasonic-app (same problem with some Nikon-app lately): how do your files reach that app? Probably via wifi or bluetooth.

I assume that files shooted with your phone camera are synced immediately when having wifi. Then there must be a vey abnormal reason that this would not happen with your Pana-files.

Again: it is simple and innocent to install the Google Gallery Go app, because then you can see in which folder your Pana-files are landing and which technical quality they have (pixels, filetype and filesize).

PS: do you have a normal Windows-10 or 11 computer?
