Been using Google photos for some time but all of a sudden it's just says "problem saving. Please try again later" when I click save to device from partner sharing photos and videos but has not got a problem when I save the videos? Also, I managed to get one photo to save by clicking the "open in" button and then choosing save but if I do that it loses the motion picture element?

You can download photos one by one through https://photos.google.com selecting the jump drive as the destination for downloads.

Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/.

Select the Google Photos app for data download.

Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments onto the jump drive.

However, regretfully, the Google Photos app doesn't provide any utility to extract the audio through some video.
You have to look into the play store and get some proprietary app.

Hello Mercy,

The Google Photos app acts as a portal to view both the Device copy and the Google Photos 'backed up' copy. It does not store any photos.

Each time you choose a different account it will 'see' all the photos on the device, but it does not 'back them up' You can check which account the photos are backed up to at Photos - Google Photos - Tap here and signing in with each account.
