Could you please elaborate the issue or your query for me to assist you better? Are you referring to backing upyour photos/videos from your Android device to Google Photos? If yes, to Backup your photos/video, before you start, make sure you're signed in. 

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
2. Sign in to your Google Account.
3. At the top, tap Menu .
4. Select Settings  Back up & sync.
5. Tap "Back up & sync" on or off.

Things to keep in mind about this setting:

• Changing backup settings will affect all apps that use Back up & sync, such as Google Drive.
• If you have Back up & sync on, deleting the Google Photos app from your device will not turn it off. To turn off Back up & sync, follow the instructions above.

Here's a useful help article to know about backing up photos and videos to Google Photos.

Did you not do this yourself then - or the family around? 

If not in "Recently deleted" or in the trash under the 3 small lines or on photos.google.com or on iCloud or whatever you may have (Amazon etc.), it is hopeless.

If you want to get a deleted item back, check your trash to see if you can get it back. If your photo or video has already been backed up and you deleted it, it will remain in your Trash for 60 days.

1. On your computer, go to the trash.
2. Place your cursor over the photo or video you want to restore, then click Done .
3. At the top right, click Restore . That photo or video will be restored to your Google Photos library and added back into any albums it was in.

Don't see the photo or video? If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:

• You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
• You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
• You permanently deleted it from your trash.
• You permanently deleted it from your device’s Gallery app, without backing it up first.

I certainly understand your concern and I've replicated the issue to view the captions on scanned photos. I've checked that there isn't any such captions on the photos scanned using PhotoScan. Please share a few screenshots of where exactly you see these captions. Ensure you don't include any of your personal and/or account information in the screenshots that you share.

I am also seeing the PhotoScan by Google Photos banner on the bottom of the pictures.. more off is that with that banner.. and If you have your own caption or description you cannot see your caption as it is white text on white background - as you can see the word Denis cannot be seen

I believe that this watermark is only added when images are shared *directly* from PhotoScan. Alternatively, if you share from Photos or Google Photos, there will be no watermark.
