Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.
 
Once you switch on "Backup & sync" through the settings in Google Photos app, that will backup all the pics in the camera folder.
You can select additional folders through the settings menu, including the WhatsApp image folder & then the app will also upload through those respective folders.

Just to clarify, did you share a whole album or just a single photo? If you shared a specific photo (the one you filtered and edited), then it is the only photo that can be seen by the user.

However, if you shared an album, whatever it is inside that album can be seen by the person whom you shared the album with.

If the edits were not saved, the viewer sees the original. 
But a crappy original should should be in trash :-)

PS: sometimes edits can't be saved or only saved as a copy.

The steps to take a screenshot vary between phone models & android versions.
 
However, if you have activated OK Google or Hey Google detection on your phone, the easiest way would be to say, "Hey Google take a screenshot". Then the Google assistant will do the work for you. However, once the screenshot is ready, upload that through Google Photos.
 
Nevertheless, the following are the standard methods to take a screenshot.
  • Long press the power button & tap on the menu option "Screenshot".
  • Press the volume down & power button simultaneously.
  • Press the volume down & home button simultaneously.
  • Press the power button & home button simultaneously.
  • Pull down the notification panel & look for the screenshot option.
You may try all these or refer to the documentation provided by your phone's manufacturer.

Good morning, I'm an IT admin for a school district.  We have a photography class that uses google photos.  All students are able to share with the teacher except one single student.  That student gets the "Sharing is turned off talk with a parent about sharing" message.  The student is in the same OU as other students that are able to share.  The only difference I can see is this student is a newer student (created in November) and the other students are all existing students (before google made the age restriction change)  Could this perhaps be the issue?

However, who is managing the Google account of that specific student?
The parents? Or you as an admin?
Nevertheless, I suggest going through this link to understand the age verification requirements.
And, if you are managing the account, you can contact Google Workspace Support.

Yes we as admins control this school account. All other students are able to share with the instructor so I believe the settings in our admin console are correct.  However I did contact Google Workspace Support yesterday and they told me to contact Google Photos Support.

Is it so, you created the account as an IT admin. 
Despite that, the account is expecting parents should manage the sharing?
 
If so, I suggest you raise the issue in the Google Accounts forum.
The experts there will be able to help you regarding the account verification related problems.
