When I try to delete files from DCIM, they cannot be deleted.  This is because a Group in Fresno, Ca, (identified), has hacked my phone.  

This Group has Advanced Privileges for computers, networks, phones, and tablets.  They have illegally restricted access on my phone, with NO Legal cause or justification; and have made my phone into a "workstation" for their servers,

∆.  to gain access to confidential and financial files.  

They also have the capability to enter my phone to damage documents and photos. 

They are identified, and have been reported to Authorities.

I recently lost part of my photos in Google Photos. Not all of them are gone. But photos before 2019 dissapered. I had also arranged my photos in folders and these folders are gone as well. They don't appear from 'deleted photos' and back-up & sync have been active all the time.

What could have caused this issue? and is there any way to recover my lost photos and image folder??

I know they were there in November, so is there a way to recover old backups?

Every time I open the google photos app, it tells me that it's backing up my photos. The number of "…

Every time I open the google photos app, it tells me that it's backing up my photos. The number of "items left" will go down to low numbers, even once to the point where it said it was done.  

Then later that day or week, without taking any new pictures, the number of "items left" just resets and goes back to the number it started at. Almost as if its not backing up at all.  

For example:  

Day 1: 3,500 items left

Day 1 (2 hours later): 1,500 items left  

Day 1: (3 hours later): 2,600 items left

Day 2: 3,500 items left  

Day 2: (4 hours later): 900 items left
Day 2: (5 hour later): 3,400 items left
Day 2: (12 hours later): All done! All backed up! 

Day 3: 2,800  items left !!  

So far I have tried:  

1. Logging out of Google account

2. Deleting the App and restarting my phone

3. Reinstalling the app  

Yet it still does the same thing.  

I would appreciate any help with this problem.

Your symptoms indicate you are backing up a large Optimised iCloud library to Google Photos and it is a long process, with no option but to wait until it is complete before things settle down. Another issue is that Google Photos only backs up with the app open.

It should pretty much manage itself without needing to do much. When you're totally done syncing with Google, you can just leave your phone and let iCloud delete the downloaded photos when it needs space.

The safest way to delete from Google Photos is to delete the Google Photos app and delete the photos at https://photos.google.com/

The camera roll photos will not be affected.

Once you delete them from the trash in Google photos they are permanently deleted; they are only recoverable in 60 days if they are still in the trash.

You can try a few options that might help recover some but not 100% guaranteed.

• Contact the Google Drive team and say you want to recover files - click on the contact us option on this link.
• You can try using a third party photo recovery app at this point to try to recover some of what was lost from your phone - just type photo recovery into the play store and see what options are available. I can't recommend any as haven't used one personally but some people do have success that way.

The editor in the Google Photos app allows corrections in the orientation of pictures.

To do so, please follow these steps through the phone app.

• Tap to open the picture
• Tap on the edit icon below the picture
• Tap on menu option Crop.
• Tap on the rotation symbol for achieving a turn through ninety degrees. Each successive tap will add ninety degrees going through 90 -> 180 -> 270 -> and again back to 360 degrees. 
• That will help you correct sideways or upside-down orientations.
• If you wish to fine-tune, move the slider above the rotation symbol. That helps in correcting slight misorientations at an increment of one degree.

However, if the pics captured through your camera need rotation correction, I suggest you either reinstall the camera app or seek the help of some repair technician.
