Then they can be downloaded to your computer in their original quality also if you use the right method via their 3 dots - not by saving from screen: that gives inferior results indeed.
But if older pictures are not on your phone anymore, you only can view them in good quality in the Photos-app when you have good wifi.

Did your phone got a large upgrade to Android-12 perhaps?
And did you check what you really see at Google when viewing photos.google.com in the Chrome-app.
I hope that you don't see so many look-alikes there.
If so, the problem in the app may be temporary: close all apps and restart the phone and then restart the Google app - maybe okay then. Or the problem is restricted to social media pictures only.

Yes thank you so much the problem is temporary. It started after I updated, but now everything is fine. It was really weird but I closed everything and restart my phone and after a while everything went back to normal no more doubles in photos. All good now. Thanks for your response!

I lost all my private folder photos but I want them back they were so important to me 😭 now technology is so improved why can't do anything to restore them again 😞

You may use Google-account A on your phone and Google-account B on your computer.
And if you have payed for account B you still have 15 GB for free on your phone only and then I can imagine that you are at 11 GB necause that is 73% of 15 GB.
So I can't answer your question without having much more technical information about your way of working. Please come back to explain.

We are not able to help with other apps beyond Google Photos. I'm not familiar with this Hide App. You may have to contact that developer to get help on it.
If photos from Google Photos have been deleted, you can try to find them in the trash folder both in Photos and on Google Drive. If they are not located there, you can try Google Takeout (takeout.google.com) and see if you can recover them there.

I suggest going through the following article prepared by experts with extensive knowledge of Google Photos. That will help you understand the different methods to transfer pics from one account to another.
The article offers several tips on how to do so
However, method C would serve the purpose.
Nevertheless, there will be a disadvantage now. The pics you transferred to your new account will count towards storage. If you are willing to bear that penalty, proceed. Otherwise, leave the pics as it is.

Without any precise technical information, we only can guess what may have happened. And it is not clear where you are viewing: in the Google Photos app on phone or in the browser on your Macbook?
But first of all: the Google Photos app on your iPhone just shows the same as your Apple Photos app as long as these pictures and videos still are on phone. So if they all were compressed to heic and hevc files for using less space on phone, they did become lower quality files indeed. But that is not caused by Google.
Come back to tell us what you see if you move-up a picture or a movie in the Google Photos, because then you can see the file-information at the bottom like shown below:
If you see at the arrow something like IMG_1234.heic or IMG_2345.hevc you are viewing, you are viewing these very compressed files created by Apple indeed.
And you can't revert that action, but it is unclear for me if iCloud has stored them in their original quality. And it is unclear what is stored at Google at photos.google.com
