However, regretfully, your query is not related to some feature in the Google Photos app.

I have 2 Google accounts synced to my Pixel 4 XL. One is my Google Workspace business address and the other is my personal address. I noticed that Google has been syncing and backing up to my business email address, so today I switched the backup/sync address to my personal email. After the sync completed, it appears that I have all of my photos showing up (I didn't confirm, there are thousands, but I don't see any missing the I know of) however a number of the photos seem to be off on the date by roughly 3 years. For instance photos that were taken in 2017 are showing up as 2020. I haven't confirmed if it's exactly 3 years difference or if it's some other amount of time, but it appears to be roughly 3 years.

I've restarted my phone to try to solve this. Also upon logging into the web application it does not appear the same issue is happening there but I did not investigate deeply on every photo.

I've seen a bunch of threads about this and tried some of the things mentioned but none of them worked for me. Does anybody have any advice for this?

A complete reset of the Google Photos app normally fixes things.

Check the app trash to make sure there are no photos and videos mistakenly deleted
- Empty the trash
tap the account icon at the top right
tap your email address and select Use without an account
Power down/up or restart the device
sign in again making sure you are using the correct email
check that the Backup & sync settings are correct and using the correct email
wait until getting photos finishes, could take a while
- Please wait until it completes leaving the app open and plugged in if necessary.

In short, if someone has access to a device that is still logged in to your account, or has access to your username and password, then it is possible they can access data that is synced and shared across devices. That is why a general good practice is to always log out of accounts, especially on shared or public computers, or enable two-step verification.

I recently did a factory wipe of my phone and recovered photos via Google One Takeout. However, after transferring the photos back to my phone, google photos automatically uploaded them again, so I want to remove the duplicates. However in the "Recently Added" page, when selecting many photos through the day they were uploaded, move to trash does not work. Selecting a small few does work , but trying to remove hundreds of them does not work at all.

Through Edge browser's inspection function, I can see the web page threw out this error when clicking move to trash:

Thanks for the response! However this is what not my issue is about. It simply won't function with more than 10 photos selected, sometimes simply selecting 2 doesn't work, the only time it works consistently is selecting one photo only. And even with 200 selected, due to all of them being compressed copies (I did not upload them in their original quality), all these combined would not even surpass 500MB in size.

I tried 3 different desktops on two different networks and the results were the same. I need to do it on the web because I want to keep those photos on my phone and delete the duplicate copies. Deleting them from the phone will also remove them from the phone's internal memory (because those copies are the ones that were uploaded again for some reason), which is not what I want.

And yes, my trash bin is completely empty.

Negative, nothing related to these photos are in the Google Drive trash either.

As of now I've stopped trying again or bother because apparently these photos are not even taking up my storage (storage usage is unchanged), and that the process of preventing sync by logging out of google photos on the phone and back again will trigger another back up process but without the upload which is another nuisance.

I used to be able to change the location of any photos. That was 1 or 2 weeks ago.

Now, it says that I can't if the location has been set by the camera. I would like to know why this change was made.

I know I can disable the camera adding location information. However, I want some photos to use the location given by the camera and I want other photos to use the location that I choose.

It's not practical to enable and disable this setting before taking each picture. Neither is it practical to upload the photos to my PC to remove the location information before uploading it to Photos.

If I understand your post, you have some hidden images from your main photo stream you want to 'unhide' and show in your photos stream

You should check the archive folder on your Photos app.

Go to Photos > Left menu > Archive

Select the images you want to show in your stream > go to the : menu in the upper right corner > select the option to Unarchive.

The images should now show in your main photo stream.

If you would use Whatsap, you perfectly can reach Google Photos now, but I don't know about other "messengers". In Whatsapp see screenshot on community page:

In a message use the paperclip and then choose Gallery, but then you can find Google Photos under the 3 dots right-up as shown in the right panel - even the albums you have there.
