The same with shooting with the "whatsapp camera" - these are stored in the app itself and not in the folder which is accessible for Google Photos. So nothing wrong, but you simply should shoot in the normal way, unless for some joke only.

No Google Photos problem, but read the phone manual (often available on line only). 
We can't give device-specific deviatons from normal and you don't even tell us which device you have :-)
And we also can't predict where these shots are stored - perhaps in a separate folder and then you need to decide if that folder should be backupped automatically or just selectively.

What we see as duplicates have some difference in file format or metadata.
 
Regrettably, Google Photos doesn't provide any means to remove the apparent duplicates. You have to search those manually.

Either you can open the URL & download the picture, or right-click on the thumbnail view & download the picture.

To bring back the pics to your phone's gallery, either, you can download photos one by one. Regrettably, there is no option to do so on a batch of photos.
 
Alternatively, you can install the Google One app there is a one time option to restore up to two hundred most recent photos to the device.
However, the local folder structure can not be restored.
To do so, there is no requirement to join Google One, the option is available to everyone.
However, the method may not be effective to recover something when the count is more than two hundred.
 
Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/;
Select the Google Photos app for data download.
Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments into your phone's gallery.
 
That will bring everything to your phone.

Hi Teresa,

You can't add a signature directly to a photo, for example as a watermark or signature in a lower portion of the image, in Google Photos.

There may be third-party apps that allow you to embed a signature on the images. I don't have a recommendation.

As a workaround, you could open the image in Google Photos, select the edit icon, swipe the menu options to reveal > More and then select markup. You can then draw a signature directly on the photo, but honestly doing this via a phone is not fine-tuned. You can see if selecting a finer pixel size and using a touch friendly pen will give you more control then a fingertip.

If you want something more elegant, look to a third party application that can add a signature for example in a script font to the image.

Code: 400 - The requested URL returned error:400 Bad Request" error, and we tried restarting the Roku, uninstall and reinstall the software, but to no avail. The error is still there. There doesn't seem to be an issue tied to a specific account or Roku stick because we have 2 locations with 2 Roku stick each that is experiencing the same issue. Please help!

Roku uses the deprecated Picasa API which is currently under extension until March 15th
